-All Over Paris-
Chloe surpressed a smirk as she, as Queen Bee, watched discretely from a safe distance as Lila Rossi caused another akuma, recording it all and then hiding and texting the video to one Gabriel Agreste.
Meanwhile in another part of town, Adrien clad in his normal garb surpressed a smirk as he posed for the camera during a photoshoot noticing Rena Rouge in the distance recording as his rival began to cause an akuma out of a girl who was a fan of Adrien's.
In the concert hall, Jagged Stone, Penny and Clara Nightingale listened intently to Marianne and Jason as they spoke in their discrete meeting.
Gabriel Agreste showed his mild confusion as they created two akumas who joined forces run amock without Ladybug, Chat Noir or any other heroes show up to stop the akumas. That is when it hit him. Something was wrong. These heroes NEVER let his villains run amock without so much as a plan. That was when the third villain was made and he realized that Lila Rossi was causing this outbreak on purpose.
Natalie as Mayura shrugged in confusion as Hawk Moth sent a questioning glance at her.
"Something is wrong here, Mayura... Any ideas?" Hawk Moth questioned curiously.
"No, Hawk Moth. This makes no sense to me either." Mayura said calmly but confused.
While on random rooftops near the three akumas silently stood Ladybug and Rena Rouge.
"Things are going perfectly..."
"Yeah... Now all that's left is for Viperion and Pegasus to make their move."
Ladybug nodded.
As a fourth akuma joined the scene Ladybug pulled out her communicator and dialed Pegasus.
"Is everything set in place?"
"Everything is set on my end LB."
"Excellent." Ladybug said before hanging up.
On another part of town Luka, out of costume discretely sat back facing the female as Lila Rossi and Arturo Faustino sat at the table behind his with cups of coffee in one of their hands each.
"Is it done?"
"Yes. The trap has been set all that's left is the final phase."
"Good, first we take down that pesky bug and her sickening alley cat, then we deal with Marinette for good and make Adrien suffer."
Luka smiled into his tea cup as his free hand ended the recording of the recorder that was recording the conversation going on next to him.
His sister Juleka completely unaware of anything as she came back from having gone to the bathroom after a tea spill.
"I'm sorry about spilling your tea on you little sister. Let's get you home so you can change out of that. Before it starts to stick." Luka said sweetly and concerned standing up, paying and leading his sister home.
Once home, he made a good excuse to lock himself up in his room and transformed.
When he transformed, he took out his communicator and dialed Chat Noir.
"It's done. Time for the next phase. Are you ready?" Greeted Viperion to Chat.
Chat Noir smirked as he observed the fifth akuma, aka an akumatized Lila, join the scene.
"Always." Chat Noir responded before hanging up and turning to the five adults in the room.
"Thank you so much for waiting for my call, as I said before we are trying to catch two people who are really up to no good and endagering the city and it's people for their own selfish reasons. We could really use your help in making sure they are caught by aiding the police and us when the time comes."
"Of course! We will help of that you can be sure!" Clara said cheerfully.
"This is totally rock and roll! Of course i'll help you guys! Especially since these people were the reason Marinette was hospitalized." Jagged said excitedly as he grabbed his guitar.
"You can count on us!" Said Penny.
"We would be more than glad to assist you and the other heroes catch these people. Especially since they were the reason my cousin Marinette is in the hospital." Marianne said with a soft smile that definitely creeped out everyone except for Jason who seemed used to it.
"You can count on us, Chat Noir." Jason said with an awkward smile.
Chat Noir nodded in gratitude with a smile and then left through the window as the four famous adults went out to do as asked.
On a nearby rooftop, Chat Noir called Ladybug at once with an smirk.
"Phase Three is complete."
"Good work Chat. Go into your next spot."
"Will do LB." Said Chat happily.
MEANWHILE...
Gabriel started growing annoyed as he sent out a fifth akuma and there was no response.
Then he sensed it.
A blast of positivity that knocked him and Mayura to their knees for a second.
"Just what is happening out there?" Gabriel growled out angrily.
"Shall i go up and investigate?" Asked Mayura.
"Yes... you should go and do that. Check on Adrien while you are up." Gabriel said.
Mayura turned back into Natalie and went up.
-With Adrien-
Having done his part as Chat, he returned home via his window where he was supposed to have been all day since he had told his father he would be sleeping in on his day off and just lounging at home after his last minute photoshoot that morning.
Then he began to play video games as he heard Natalie approach.
"Adrien?"
"Yes Natalie?" Adrien asked kindly.
"Nothing. Your father and I were just worried when we saw on the news a minute ago that there is five akumas on the loose in the city right now." Said Natalie hugging him gently.
Adrien smiled sweetly and hugged her back.
"I am alright. Just staying here safe and sound playing video games."
"Your father will be relieved to hear this. Stay here and safe." Natalie said kindly.
"Yes, Natalie." Responded Adrien obediently, turning back to the video game he had been playing.
When Natalie was gone he smirked as he continued to play.
'Phase Four has begun. Up to you guys now.' Adrien thought.
-Back with Ladybug and Rena Rouge-
The girls smirked as Ladybug called Queen Bee.
"Phase Four."
"On it."
-With Chloe-
She hung up and smirked.
"Pollen, Buzz Off." She said detransforming now in her room.
"This plan is pure genius." Pollen said tiredly with a laugh as Chloe gave her a couple croissants.
Chloe smirked as her mother came in just as Pollen finished and hid.
"Chloe dear, is it Phase Four now." Asked Audrey to her daughter.
"Yes mother, are you ready?"
"Always darling."
Gabriel called Audrey and invited their family for tea.
When the call was over the family with Pollen hidden in Chloe's bag headed to the Agreste mansion and the adults headed to the dining room for tea and sent Chloe and Adrien to Adrien's room.
"Time for phase five?" Asked Adrien with a smile.
"Not yet, first Marinette, Carapace, and Rena have to do their part." Said Chloe with a calm smile.
Adrien shrugged and they sat on his couch and had some tea themselves, Jason L. Harrison's secret recepie to be exact, as they awaited for the tv to show the news they were waiting for.
-With Marinette-
Marinette smiled as she saw the news with Nino at her side.
This was their cue.
"Are you ready dudette?"
"Yes, I trust all of you." Marinette answered kindly before pretending to be asleep as Nino left and in an abandoned hallway with no cameras pulled the akuma alarm.
Everyone quickly fled and patients all over panicked quietly.
Then the akumatized Lila came into Marinette's room and took her.
Nino smirked from his hiding place and transformed once Lila was gone.
-With Gabriel-
"This just in one of the akumas has kidnapped an unconscious girl with casts on!" Said Nadia in shock.
-With The Musicians-
"Ready?" Marianne asked Jagged and Clara.
"Yes."
"Remember, get angry, real angry. Get pissed the hell off." Jason explained.
Then the two musicians closed their eyes and did so.
-Gabriel-
Gabriel tensed as he felt the two high levels of anger even out of costume just as the Bourgeois Limo left the estate.
Then he headed down to his lair and sent out the akumas.
-Marianne and Jason-
As soon as they sent the butterflies with negative magic on them come towards them they quickly fled the room and hid.
They did however smirk as they saw Guitar Villain and Frightning Gale leave the concert hall.
"This is going very well, time to go to Fu." Marianne said as they took off as fast as they could to Fu's home.
"I take it the plan is going well." Fu said as he served them tea.
"Yes but we are prepared to deliever back up should the need arise." Jason said softly with a smile.
"Surely not yourselves?"
"No. We definitely mean ourselves , after the abortion I recovered one month and a half of life back. That is exactly how much transforming one more time before the final fight against hawk moth would take."
"So originally you two only had a bare year and a month and a half of life left?" Fu asked sadly.
Marianne shared a glance and held hands before nodding sadly at Fu in confirmation.
"I see, so you were prepared to die very soon anyway which is why you kept low to the kids about exactly how quickly you were dying."
"Yes... It is best they don't know. It's not our job to fight akumas, however it is our job to help them defeat Hawk Moth and prevent the return of HER, so for now it is best if we stick with the reason we gave them."
"Marinette will be devastated when you two die in the final battle."
"She will... But we will give them a fighting chance before we leave this world."
"How long ago have your hearts stopped beating." Questioned Fu darkly.
"5 years ago... We woke up one morning and felt terrible so we tried to check our blood pressure and see what was happening and saw that we had no heartbeat after freaking out when our pulse was very slow and our blood preassure was low."
"You gave blood for Marinette that had residue magic from the battle ten years ago in it didn't you?"
"Yes. That way there will be one last hope should our gifted chance fail to help them in the final battle."
"I see. What else did you do to help them in secret."
"We might have helped them form the bonds they needed to form and figure out they needed to improve the ones they already had."
"I see, so you two helped those kids have the key you two didn't have until it was too late... That was very kind of you."
"We have grown to see those kids as if they were our very own. We figured we couldn't just let them go in recklessly once we're gone so we decided to leave them a few gifts while we're still alive." Jason explained softly.
"We also..." Began to explain Marianne shocking Fu happily.
-With Rena Rouge and Carapace-
"Time for us to move in?"
"Not yet, we have to wait until Lila throws her from the top of the tower." Said Carapace sadly.
"Okay.."
-With Marinette-
Marinette quelled her nerves as she felt Lila hold her by the neck over the edge at the top of the tower.
'Any moment now.' She thought.
With that she was let go of and started falling.
-With Adrien and Chloe-
"Now!" Queen Bee growled to herself.
Chat Noir smirked as Queen Bee suddenly jumped into action and caught Marinette before she could hit the ground.
As Lila was shocked by the fleeing Queen Bee who had Marinette in her arms, Chat Noir released the signal and each akuma faced a hero except for Lila and Arturo.
The first one, known as Time Ripple, was suddenly taken down by Viperion who fled the scene with the akumatized object which was a garish bracelet.
The second, Heartbreak, was taken down by Pegasus who fled with the akumatized object which was an Adrien pin.
The third was Frightning Gale taken down by Carapace who took the akumatized object that happened to be once again her microphone. While the fourth, Guitar Villain was taken down by Rena Rouge who took the guitar that was the akumatized object and fled.
Then Ladybug and Chat Noir approached Lila and Arturo confidently.
"Did you think you two would get away that easy from justice?" Chat Noir asked seriously as he leaned confidently on his baton.
"No. Which is why we had a little surprise planned?"
"Oh really? You mean being akumatized or do you mean using Hawk Moth's terrorizing of this city to get to me so you could take me and my allies down?" Ladybug said.
Lila smirked.
"No. It was this." She said as she snapped her fingers and a swarm of 14 people infected by their akuma powers surrounded them all.
The two heroes laughed.
"What are you laughing about?"
"You didn't think we came without a back up plan did you?"
"Because that would be a paw-ful mistake."
The two were shocked as suddenly Tiger King raced around them in a circle and didnt appear visibly to any of them until he had already tied up all of the infected people and moved them away from danger.
Then they noticed Dragoness too late as the adult heroine held Arturo with her sword to his neck.
Sheathed of course! But still at his neck.
"What are you can you even do to me with a sheathed sword?" Questioned Arturo with a growl as he tried to free himself from her hold.
"Oh, I can do a lot of damage with a sheathed sword. Considering I have been fencing and studying swordsmanship since I was very young. I'm really holding back and playing nice here so do shut up before you loose that tongue to my hand." Dragoness said so sweetly and calmly that it sent shivers down the spines of even her husband who currently was holding Lila down.
Ladybug and Chat Noir smirked as they suddenly easily removed the akumatized objects from Lila and Arturo respectively.
"Now Break!" Said Ladybug into her com piece.
All at once the objects were destroyed by the other heroes and Ladybug did her thing before accepting a lift from Chat Noir who threw her by her foot into the air and then caught every single akuma one by one before yoyoing back to the top of the tower and standing in front of Lila and Arturo seriously.
At this point Dragoness and Tiger King had switched their hold on the two teens to just holding their hands behind their backs.
"You two have been up to no good. Lila, we have given you many chances to redeem yourself in the eyes of the law and stop causing akumas and we have even allowed you to do as you please in hopes you would stop manipulating people into being akumatized. But this has gone too far."
"What are you talking about, I haven't done anything wrong! Why am i here? Where is here? What is going on?" Questioned Lila acting innocent.
At this point Viperion came into the scene with a tape recorder in hand.
"There is no point lying Miss Lila. We have been handed proof earlier today of you and this man plotting to take us all down and to and i quote 'deal with Marinette for good and make Adrien suffer.' Whoever those people are, they will be notified of this incident." Viperion commented seriously.
"I haven't done anything! Why am I being lumped in with this random girl and her scheming?"
"Because you were caught helping her with her scheming."
Pegasus said as he and the two previously akumatized musicians arrived on scene.
The two musicians with a sad look on their faces turned their phones to the teens which showed images of the two scheming teens each causing an akuma.
".." The teens said nothing and tried to get free and destroy the evidence only to find themselves unable to move at all.
"We figured you might try and destroy the evidence." Queen Bee said seriously as she stood next to Ladybug and Viperion arms crossed.
The scheming teens had a mark from her Miraculous on them where their hands had unconsciously grabbed hold of each other.
At this point Dragoness and Tiger King left to get the police safely up to where the culprits were and to get the innocent civilians down to where they could be safely released to go back home.
"We also managed to get our hands on evidence that Arturo here was the one who shoved one Marinette Dupain-Cheng into the path of a truck at that intersection mishap recently." Revealed Carapace as he and Rena Rouge showed up on either side of Chat Noir and Ladybug with a video in the phone belonging to Rena and a photo album on the phone belonging to Carapace.
"Well, this settles it, you two are in big trouble." Scolded Officer Roger as he and several members of the police arrested Lila Rossi and Arturo Faustino.
"Thank you for bringing these two to our attention and custody Ladybug, Chat Noir. You too guys. I am very glad that you heroes are here protecting Paris."
"We are glad to help. But we all best go before we transform back. We will be sure to send in all the other evidence via email as soon as possible. Bug Out!" Ladybug said kindly before yoying away with Chat Noir.
Dragoness and Tiger King leaving in the opposite direction soon after. Viperion then left with Pegasus in another direction. Rena Rouge and Carapace soon doing the same with Queen Bee.
-6 Months Later, at Night-
"Are you alright Marinette?" Asked Marianne to her sister gently and sweetly.
"How much time do you have left?"
Marianne smiled sadly. "6 months..." She answered hesitantly lying unknown to her younger sister.
"I wish you and Jason could see me get married some day..." Marinette said sadly with a sigh.
Marianne smiled and chuckled hugging her little sister gently and lovingly before kissing her forehead lightly.
"I will always be watching over you Little Monkey. Even when I am long gone. You can count on it. When you most need me, I will be there. So will Jason." Marianne answered with a warm loving smile once she pulled away, gently caressing Marinette's cheek like a mother would to her daughter.
"How do you know for sure?" Asked Marinette.
Marianne just continued to smile and lightly touched marinette right in the center of her chest.
"Little Monkey, when you need us, we will always be here, inside, and we will help you. You can trust that." Marianne said warmly.
Marinette smiled sadly and enjoyed her sisters following caress to her cheek, even nuzzling her face lovingly into the woman's loving hand.
"Listen Marinette, you remember what I told you years ago when you were worried about death and losing me or maman or papa?" Marianne said gently.
"Yeah you told me to always look at the future, even if that happens, because there is no point crying over what has already happened. You can't change the past, but you can change the future. So if any of you die, especially you, that I should mourn as long as I need but that I should look to the future and not cry so much. Happy times will always come after the bad and sad ones have passed..."
"Why do you bring that up?"
"Because Mari. When me and Jason die, your friends will need you the most, when that happens you will need to search within yourself for the strength to help everyone move forwards that I know rests within you. But it will be hard, so I want you to have something to help you remember the strength that I know you have within." Marianne said with a smile grabbing her bag.
From her bag she then pulled a familiar locket that Marinette thought had been lost forever.
"Your locket! Why are you giving me this?" Asked Marinette.
"Don't open it. Not until the time comes that you need me the most in life." Marianne said making Marinette stop from opening the locket.
"I am giving this to you because hopefully it will help you in your darkest hour." Marianne said warmly placing the necklace on Marinette.
"I will make sure to take the best care possible of it. Thank you Marianne." Marinette said happily.
Marianne smiled helping her sister sit up for the doctor who came in to remove the cast.
"Could you wait outside Ma'am?" Asked the doctor.
"Of course." Marianne said leaving with a kiss to Marinette's forehead as her only goodbye before heading to meet Jason.
-With Jason and Adrien-
"You wanted to speak to me privately in person?" Asked Adrien to the grown man seated across from him at the table.
"Yes, Marianne and I have only 6 months left, as you already know. So we wanted to leave you each with something extremely special that will help you in your darkest hour." Said Jason pulling out from his bag an odd looking locket style bracelet.
"What is this?"
"Don't open it. Not now. Only open it in your darkest hour." Jason explaing making adrien stop from opening the locket of the bracelet.
"What's this all about?"
"We know how much you two love each other, and well we are happy to see you guys so happy together. We're sad we won't be able to be around for you guys much longer. Frankly, I have grown to consider you family. So has Marianne. We know that we won't be able to do much for you all once our time runs out, so we figured that we might as well leave you two some extra help you can use if you need it once we're gone. We locked one of said forms of help in this locket and in the one Marinette has probably gotten by now from Marianne." Jason explained.
"Well, thank you... I have grown to consider you two family as well. I will make sure to take the best possible care of this bracelet." Adrien answered.
Jason smiled and chatted with Adrien a bit more before heading to meet Marianne.
-With Marinette-
Adrien came with her parents to get her just as the doctor discharged her with strict instructions to take good care of herself and avoid strenuous activity for the next two days.
"Was Jason acting strange to you?" Asked Marinette after they realized that each dying adult had visited each of them.
"A little bit. At first he did act a bit strange and gave me this bracelet, but then he was back to normal. Why do you ask?"
"Because Marianne was acting normally at first but then acted a bit strange before going back to normal just before she left." Marinette said a bit concerned.
Adrien smiled.
"I'm sure they are just fine Mari. They are just doing this now because 6 months fly by quickly and they want to make sure to settle everything out before time is up." Adrien reassured warmly with a smile.
Marinette thought it over and realized he was right.
-With Marianne and Jason-
After meeting up they got in the car with Marianne behind the wheel and the two headed to the other side of the city where the stately homes and mansions were soon arriving to their destination.
