Calleigh picked up a stack of papers, accidentally dropping one. When she bent down to pick it up, Eric had already gotten it.

"Thanks." She mumbled, smiling. Eric nodded his head, "What is all that?"

"Oh, this?"

"Yeah. Since when do you do paperwork?"

"It's just some autopsy reports."

"Okay…"

Eric glanced at the paper, it definitely wasn't an autopsy report. In fact, it appeared to be death records.

"You need a hand?" He offered. She shook her head 'no' and headed

Down the hallway.

Eric sighed, before being interrupted, it was his pager going off. They had another case.

When Calleigh and Eric arrived at the Crime scene, Alexx was already there, processing the body.

"What do you have here?" Calleigh asked. Alexx glanced up, "Possible strangulation wounds, you might want to look for our murder weapon in the house."

Eric and Calleigh made their way into the house, searching and collecting evidence.

"Cal, is something going on?" Eric finally asked. Calleigh immediately answered, "No, what would make you say that?"

Right when Eric was about to say something Horatio called the two over, he had found the murder weapon, an electrical cord.

"Poor girl." Alexx said, "I'll take her back to the morgue, she's clean."

"Calleigh, Eric, Process this electrical cord, I'll take a look around," Horatio ordered.

They both nodded, heading back to the crime lab.

After Calleigh ran the cord through DNA analysis, Eric took over and tried to lift fingerprints.

Calleigh sighed, obviously trying to bring up a subject to talk about. "About those papers–" She admitted, before getting cut off by Eric, "Cal, it's fine. But I want you to know that you can talk to me."

She looked down, acting ignorant, "I just don't want to talk about it here."

Eric looked over at Calleigh, "That's okay. How about we talk at my place later tonight."

Calleigh agreed. "Our killer was wearing gloves." She said. "How so?" He replied.

"There's a piece of latex stuck in between these wires." Calleigh clarified, "I'll take another look."

After examining their only evidence, they both got off work and went to Eric's place.

"Thanks for having me over." Calleigh shared, in the passenger seat of Eric's car. Eric smiled, "No worries."

They pulled up to Eric's house, which was right on the coast. Calleigh had been over to his house many times before, and even stayed the night a few times.

"Have you eaten yet?" Eric asked, pointing out that he has plenty of food if she is hungry. "Yeah, I have. Thanks though."

Eric smiled, and Calleigh exchanged a cheerful look. They both avoided eye contact. Whenever Calleigh looked Eric in the eye she felt like her heart was melting.

Does he notice that I'm not looking at him? Does he think it's disrespectful? I don't want to come across as rude… She thought. Uh oh, he's looking at me.

"Cal?" He said. "Yeah?" she jumped.

"What is it that's been bothering you?"

"I guess it's… Well, Horatio asked me to look for Speedle's death certificate. But it's nowhere to be found."

Eric looked confused, but more concerned than confused. Calleigh huffed, "It's like someone stole his identity like his whole existence dropped off of the face of the earth."

"Who would've done this?" He asked.

Calleigh shrugged. "It's just been stressful. It was hard enough that he's… dead." She struggled with the word 'dead'. It was so strange for Calleigh to think Tim was, well, dead.

It felt like one of these days he would return to the crime lab, but he wasn't even alive anymore.

Calleigh took a deep breath, "I'm sorry for not telling you earlier, but I couldn't. I didn't even know what to make of myself, how was I supposed to tell everyone? How was I supposed to tell you, Eric."

Eric stayed silent. He had loved Calleigh ever since they met. He wasn't sure that his heart could go on longer without being with Calleigh.

"Calleigh…" He said quietly, yet affectively. "There's something you need to know…"
