Ch1

Sita I'm coming. Rama felt the call of the grail as a part of his consciousness was given to make his new form as a servant. As a god Rama existed in many forms, yet now the memories of his life and accomplishments all ran through his head as his new body began to materialize. I'm coming, we'll be together again I promise, no one will stand between us.

A blinding light appeared before him. Here I come. Rama felt the feet of his body touch the ground. He opened his eyes and saw that he was in a church of some sorts. In front of him was a woman with silver hair and a nice dress next to a man in a black suit with a stone cold expression on his face.

"Servant Saber," he declared loudly. "I am the Great King of Kosala, Rama."

The man in black stepped forward and nodded, "I am your master Kiritsugu Emiya."

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance mage," he said noting the man's cold demeanor. "If I may aske what did you use to summon me?" He felt the man's eyes on him, looking into them he could tell that this man was a person who did his job no matter the consequence."

Kiritsugu went over to the alter and picked up an old case, "With this. My sponsor got it form India."

"I see good choice," He said as he looked at the object, it was a long slender case long worn from years being hidden. "That was the casing of Brahamastra. It is an a powerful object with many properties, use it wisely."

"I take it you have the actual weapon?" Kiritsugu asked as he wrapped the case up in a cloth and put it away.

Rama nodded, "I have various weapons at my disposal and I intend to use them to my advantage to win." He met his master's eyes, they were as cold as a killer that made him shiver. Don't' judge him yet I need to win this for her.

"Good. There will be many strong opponents I expect you to win," Kiritsugu said his face cold as stone. "I will be operating from behind Irisviel will act as a master for you." He pointed to the silver haired woman who smiled at him and bowed.

"A pleasure to meet you Lord Rama," Irisviel said with a warm smile.

"Likewise," he said before turning to his master who was beginning to walk away. "While I don't oppose to this wouldn't it appear cowardly?"

"I work better from behind the scenes," Kiritsugu said. "You have your reasons to win and I have mine." His master turned to him, his gaze as cold as the ice from the Himalayas. "We will win at all costs I can assure you that."

He frowned at his master, of course he wanted to win and he was glad his master also had the urge to win but something about his master's personality wasn't meshing well with him. He didn't expect his master to worship him or anything but Kiritsugu Emiya seemed very cold.

"Master may I ask you a question?" Rama asked. Kiritsugu froze in his tracks. "Are you on the side of justice? I ask because despise evil."

Kiritsugu Emiya turned to face him his gaze colder as his eyes narrowed in on him. "Justice?" He asked his voice a mixture of cold derision. "What do you know of justice? It does not prevail even in war."

He stared at his master in shock Irisviel avoided looking at anyone. It took all his strenght to not get upset, after all he just met this guy an didn't want to have a bad relationship with him. Calm down I need him to win. "I believe Justice should be celebrated by all. Of course I recognize the danger in viewing the world as purely good or evil."

His master stared at him and turned away. "I want to win at any cost, that is our common goal and I expect you to fight with everything you have."

"Of course," he said with a frown. I don't like this man's attitude but for Sita I'll do anything.

Kiritsugu left the chapel they were in and closed the door behind him. "Don't worry he is always like that," Irisviel said with a smile. "I'm looking forward to working with you Lord Rama."

"Thank you. Though I request that you refer to me by my class name, it may give the enemy an opportunity to find any weaknesses I have."

"Of course I understand," Irisviel said. "We are looking forward to working with you, my family has great hopes on you to win."

"I intend to win," he said firmly. "The one I love is separated from me and winning the Holy Grail is the only way I can reunite with her."

Irisviel smiled at him. "Then we all have something in common then. Winning the Holy Grail is also the only way for our family to be together again."

A smile spread across his face, he missed Sita dearly and it was good to know that his master had loved ones he wanted to save. "Great good to know. A common goal between master and servant is vital for success." He may be impertinent but if he gets me to the grail I don't care.

"Indeed it is," Irisviel said. "Come on I'll show you around our temporary base, we will leave for Japan soon."

"Sounds good," he said as he followed her out of the chapel.

Sita I'll survive this war and we'll be reunited again. His heart pounded in his chest, Sita was the love of his life yet they were cursed to be separated. I'll win the Holy Grail and undo the curse. We'll be together again and nothing shall separate us.

He listened to Irisviel talk about her life, he only paid attention to the cursory details as he absorbed his surroundings. I can tell that we may have trouble getting along but so long as we win it doesn't matter. It was his duty to serve, he always followed it to the T and he would not compromise his morals for anyone.

Walking past a room he saw his master chat with a woman with short black hair. Kiritsugu looked up at him and their eyes met. Kiritsugu's gaze was anything but friendly, looking into them was like looking into a predator's eyes.

He nodded, a shiver going down his spine. A contemptuous man but I've dealt with worse. So long as we win I don't care. He continued to walk with Irisviel as she talked about their plans to go to Japan where the war would be held.

Sita I'm coming for you. I'll face every opponent and vanquish the opposition. The grail will be ours and we will be together again.

Placing his hand on his heart he thought of his love. Just wait a little longer.

Kayneth's body shook as he trembled against the wall and spat out blood. "Do you want to repeat what you just said you piece of shit?" His servant asked glaring at him, her silver hair and tan skin complemented the coldness in her eyes as she pointed her spear at him.

Indignation and anger swelled up inside of him that clashed with his desire to not get killed. Who was a mere servant to look down on him like this? Yet underneath the cold eyes of this women his pride went between his legs. "Y-Y-Y," he wanted to get words out of his mouth, to tell her that she was his servant and shouldn't treat him like a subject greets a king but that was already the first mistake he made when he met her. That along with referring her as a damn woman may have pushed some buttons.

"Speak clearly you dog," The lancer said her cold gaze bearing into him. "I don't got all day to deal with loser who can't even say a word."

"W-We are m-master and servant," he said clenching at the command seals in his hand.

Lancer laughed, "Oh what are you going to do command seal me? You only get three don't forget that." She gripped her lance tightly and gave him a malicious grin. "Then I'll still be able to skewer you if you piss me off."

Calm down calm down. She is also from Ancient Greece obviously she has some pride. He cleared his throat, his heart pounded in his chest. "I am Lord Kayneth El Melloi Archibald."

Lancer looked at him and laughed, "Master eh? A worm like you? I can't believe a worm like you could summon me." She gave him a malicious smile before slamming her spear into the wall not far from his head causing him to recoil. "Either way I guess we are stuck together. Don't piss me off and try to keep up when you can or else I'll bang your fiancé who is supplying me with magic."

He stared at his servant in shock, did she just threaten to have sex with his fiancé? Rubbing his stomach he slowly stood up and spat out some more blood. "I-I also hope for no more misunderstandings between us." He gulped down the lump in his throat, he had to be diplomatic as much as he hated it the look in Lancer's eyes meant one thing she wasn't playing around and her threats were real.

This woman is insane. I can tell she really wants to kill me, it won't matter though I have a servant from the age of gods. All I have to do is hold my tongue, give some pleasantries, and not get killed by her. Simple enough though a part of him did not want to tarnish his pride by viewing a servant as an equal.

Lancer stared at him, her gaze cold and deadly. "Good. I don't kindly to people that look down on me so be warned."

"U-Understood," he said as he rubbed his abdomen. "M-May I ask your name?"

Lancer looked at him and laughed. "I am the great Caenis."

"Caenis? Like the lover of Po-" He was stopped by the sight of the lance at his throat. Taking a step back his body shivered against the wall as the tip pressed against his throat. He shivered as he saw fire in her eyes, for a moment he was really about to pull a command spell to save his life.

"I would be very careful about finishing that sentence," Caenis said coldly her eyes red with hatred. "Make the mistake of putting that god's name with lover and me in it again and you'll be dead before you could even use a command spell, Consider this your only warning."

His body shook under Caenis's gaze and her spear "I-I see my apologies. I-It won't happen again, I promise."

Caenis withdrew her spear, a cocky grin spread across her face. "Good. Now come on when does the fighting start?"
