A/N: Haha! Once more, I tricked you all! Much like the Metroid Prime/RWBY crossover, I was going to be writing this one anyway. (I was also going to write a The Suffering/RWBY crossover, but after writing most of the first chapter. I hated it, and I didn't think that I'd be able to do the character of Torque justice either. So, that, has been cancelled.)

Once again, this is my all time favorite game character-I literally wrote my first, incredibly bad fanfiction about him, Crash bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank all joining together with an OC of mine-that has now become the main character of the novel series that I am trying to write. I love Spyro. He is by far the better mascot for Playstation and his games are more fun, to me. This is my personal opinion, but by all means, tell me yours in a review if you like. I'll reply. I always do.

Remnant's Purple Dragon

Prologue

As dark clouds rumbled overhead and stray bolts of purple lightning arced through the sky, he thundered up the craggy, mountainous terrain. By his side ran Cinder, his dearest companion and soon-to-be mate, her Corruption-scarred black scales glinting in the dim lighting, and Sparks, his foster-brother, a glowing golden, sentient firefly.

"Spyro," she gasped as she struggled to keep pace with his gait. "What if we're too late?"

He glanced at her, his purple eyes flashing with the lights overhead and said, "We're not."

They pushed on, charging up the slope of the mountain. The winds whipping about too harsh and dangerous for Winged flight.

Their panic was palpable as they saw the bodies of former allies and enemies strewn about the place. From other dragons to the various denizens of the Realm of Avalar to the fallen forms of Gnorcs, Apes and Riptocs. Even some fairies littered the ground.

Spyro hoped that Zoey and Elora were doing okay. They had stayed behind to hold the defenses at Warfang alongside as many allies as they could gather in such a short time. The walls and cannons of the city were strong, but things weren't looking good when literally every evil race was warring against them.

As he ran on desperately, Spyro couldn't help but think of the situation that they had found themselves in. He, they had survived so much. Red, the traitorous Dragon Elder. The diminutive, sorcerous dinosaur Ripto and his minions, Crush and Gulp. The Sorceress herself, and her armies of Rhynocs. And so much more besides.

And, now, the all of the Realms under threat by the least likeliest of villains. How had that happened?

Just how had things come to this?

He turned at the top of the slope as the path twisted and came to a stop at Hunter's side as the cheetah raised a paw for silence. Spyro noted the bloody bandage around his head and left arm as he knelt next to a sickly looking, greenish barrier. Cinder panted as she came up beside him then, breathing heavily from the high mountain air and the climb.

"Glad you could make it, guys." Hunter said with a bare semblance of his usual good cheer. He turned to watch as the rabbit sorceress, Bianca, his girlfriend, summoned a burst of golden magic in her hands and shot it as a beam towards the barrier. "The others have already gone ahead."

He turned back to the three of them and said, "It's not looking good, guys. I don't know how this guy got so powerful, so quickly. But, he's tearing us apart right now."

Spyro nodded his agreement, "Right. Let's do it."

Hunter nodded back and notched one of his red, magical arrows as the barrier finally broke under Bianca's assault. The bunny girl collapsed then from exhaustion. "We got to move," he said after looking at his girlfriend for a moment. "The others went on ahead. I don't know how much longer they can hold out."

Spyro nodded again before tearing off up the mountain again. Cinder groaned at that before following after him alongside Sparks as the anthropomorphic cheetah started leaping up the mountainside himself.

As he past through an archway of etched marble stone Spyro suddenly found himself under attack. A dozen Gnorcs sprang up out of the ground as a line of magic trailed by overhead. It was soon joined by over a dozen more. Time was running out.

He didn't even pause as he charged into their midst.

Ruby ran through the dark hallways as fast as she could without using her Semblance, hoping maintain as much of her Aura as she could for the fight ahead. Alongside her ran the rest of her teammates and sisters. Weiss, Blake, Yang, the rest of Team RWBY.

Behind them ran Jaune and the rest of the newly christened JNPR. Nora, Ozcar and Ren.

All around them the fortress shook as the two armies outside desperately fought against each other in the Grimmlands. Thousands were fighting for their lives out there, from all of the Kingdoms, including Menagerie, their friends and families included, as millions of civilians awaited the outcome of today. Gripping the edges of their seats as they watched from various news feeds.

She didn't look back, not wanting to think about what was going on back there.

They had just left her uncle Qrow and Weiss's sister Winter behind as they chose to hold off the Fall Maiden, Cinder, and Tyrian Callows. She didn't know if they would make it.

She didn't know where Jaune had found the strength to cast off his vengeance and follow behind her once more. And yet, there he was running alongside her sister and Weiss.

She narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth to keep the fear at bay.

All that matter right now as stopping her. Salem.

For she was about to end the world.

And they couldn't let that happen. She wouldn't let it happen. Not after everything they had been through. After all the lives lost to the ancient witch and her vendetta against the gods.

She was just passed these halls. They had to make it.

As she rounded the corner of the latest corridor she and the others paused as the group found the route being blocked by a literal army of Grimm. There was at least one of every kind of creature there. All of them were Alphas, too. The Final Guard.

The dark soulless monsters roared at them as they saw the group and charged. With a cry of her own Ruby led their own charge against them.

/ /

"Haahh!" with a cry of rage he knocked the armored rhynoc before him of the cliff face. It screamed with terror as it fell to its death. He didn't feel anything for it's plight, not after seeing the blood on its battle-axe. Fresh blood.

Then he turned to face the next one as it forced its way towards him in the melee. He screamed, "We don't have time for this!" And charged at the blue-skinned creature as it swung a club at him. It fell soundlessly as his golden horns crumpled its flame-resistant armor and crushed the bones beneath.

"No choice," Cinder responded to his left as she shot a bolt of deep red flames at a trio of mid-size riptocs. They screamed as they burned and died, falling before her.

"Just, got to, keep going," Hunter said as he struggled and shoved at the bodies pressed around him, unable to get the room he needed to use his bow right now. He had already depleted all his other weapons.

They had been fighting for several minutes now, and the path behind them was littered with the fallen. But the minions just kept coming, teleporting in or being summoned from Beyond as the strands magical energy continued to creep up the mountainside around them. Progress was slow, but they were still moving forwards, regardless.

Then, with a rumbling and clanking of twisted gears, a mechanized tank rolled around the corner before them. As soon as it saw them it fired its cannon. The blast missed, passing overhead to blast away the remains of the path behind them and killing last of the minions around them.

"Keep going! We can't stop now!" Spyro called from the front as he exhaled a blast of fire, blowing apart the mechanized tank and charged upwards. The others followed behind.

"Aargh, this is taking too long!" Ruby shouted as she cut down the Ursa Major before her. She turned to the smaller of the two green-clad boys and said, "Ozcar!"

"Right," the boy said with two voices as he then gathered together a fusion of rainbow-colored energy with both hands before launching it forth in a trio of twisting, green lines. Dozens of Grimm instantly died as the lines tore through their black, armored hides, leaving the corridor clear. Turning, with a pant, he shouted hoarsely, "Go!"

The group of eight sprinted forwards then, rounding the twisted hallways before rushing up to a large elaborate pair of doors.

/ /

As they finally rounded the last curve on the mountain path, Spyro paused at what he saw before him.

Sgt. Byrd, Bently the Yeti, Agent 9, and Sheila the Mountain Kangaroo were laid out before him. Unconscious or dead, he didn't know.

Behind them was a massive purple portal, the largest he had ever seen. It twisted and churned unnaturally, even for magic, as its magics distorted the local time and space, ripping apart the seams of reality.

It was both awesome and aweful to behold.

Towering above them all in his classic, golden armor was Gnasty Gnorc, wielding a magical, sparkling staff in one hand and his classic magical great club in the other, as he stood there laughing manically.

As soon as he saw the pudgy, green, tusked face of the Gnorc ruler and what he had done to his friends, Spyro charged in, screaming in outrage. The last of his friends right behind him.

As Cinder and the others followed after him, he could hear Gnasty chuckle hideously. "Come, my old foe." The ancient Gnorc sorcerer said with a grin. "Come, and face me once more."

The two sides closed as the portal yawned behind them.

With Yang's and Weiss's summoned knight's help, they pushed open the door to find her standing there in the center of a large, oval room.

Salem turned from where she was standing next to a strange, mystical pedestal cradling all four Relics and smiled graciously at them as they entered, saying, "So, good of you to arrive, Ozma, my Dearest. I was starting to think that you weren't coming. So glad to see, otherwise."

She then turned to face the four relics before her and said, "It's almost time. As soon as the moon aligns overhead, the ritual will be complete, and we can finally put an end to this whole farce."

She sighed as she stroked at the Staff of Creation and whispered, "It has been so long."

"We're not going to let that happen," Ruby shouted as she converted Crescent Rose to its rifle form. Her friends and family shouted their agreement as they readied their weapons.

All, except for one.

Ozcar placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded to her in silence. Then he stepped forwards into the room, the Long Memory tapping as he did so, and raised a hand pleadingly towards Salem as he said, "Salem, please. Don't do this. Think of all the lives that will be lost because of this."

The ancient sorceress stood there in silence, her dark robes billowing around behind her as she tilted her head and looked at her former lover's latest body. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. Ruby ratcheted a round in and raised her rifle. Ren, Blake and Nora did the same as the others began to fan out around the entrance.

Ozcar raised his other arm at them in a holding manner as he continued to walk towards the pale, white skinned and haired woman.

"Look, you need not do this, Salem. Just, accept the natural state of things. As the God of Light intoned, and you can be at peace." Ozma said through his host, still walking forwards, his hand raised beseechingly towards his former wife and lover. The mother of his daughters. "You can be at peace."

"Peace? Peace?!" Salem hissed back. She turned then as thunderclouds gathered overhead and the floor trembled with her might and magic. "What do I care about Peace!?"

"For millennia I have lived because of the Gods' Judgement.-Cursed! To battle with you as you sought to bring about an impossibility!" Salem spat out, her calm facade shattered over so old a wrong, a wound. "When all I wanted, was you! Back, alive! Something they could so easily do, but wouldn't!"

She glided forwards to tower over him as she hissed out in an almost pleading manner, "Don't you see?! My Love. I'm not doing this just for me!" She reached out then and cradled his face as she said softly, her red eyes soft, "I'm doing this for us. For what the Gods did to us."

She looked into each of his eyes individually as she asked, "Can you not see that, my love?"

Ozma brushed her hands away as he stepped back and said, "I cannot. Just as I cannot let this going on any longer."

Salem's red eyes darkened then as she frowned and said while gathering magic in her hands, "So be it then. You can thank me after the world has ended."

Then she unleashed the full might of her powers at them all.

Gnasty laughed, guffawed, really, as the two dragons jumped from platform to platform, desperately dodging his attacks as they floated in the sky above him. Already the cheetah and dragonfly had fallen. The one as it attempted to protect the other.

Now, there was only two more.

The combined magics he had gathered had made him nearly unstoppable so far. He had defeated the Heroes of Avalar. He had defeated the Heroes of the Dragon Kingdoms. The skylanders. He had defeated everyone that had stood against him, friend and foe alike.

Soon, he would defeat his most hated foe.

Soon, he would beat Spyro the Dragon.

He continued to laugh as they shot Fire and Lightning at him. It did nothing. He continued to laugh as they blasted his form with Ice and Earth magic. It did nothing. With ghostly phantoms, and Fear, and Darkness.

It did nothing.

As the world broke down around them and he used his magics to grow to truly colossal portions. As all their hopes turned to naught as the Realms began to unravel.

Soon, his enemies would be dead. The worlds would unravel.

And he, Gnasty Gnorc, would finally have won.

/ /

Ruby dashed around the perimeter of the room as Weiss and Blake shot Dust rounds and Glyphs at the Witch as she soared above on a miniature tornado of magic, loosing spells all the while.

Already, Nora and Ren had fallen. As had Yang. Blasted by magic they had been unable to dodge. Nora and Ren laid arm in arm by the destroyed entrance where Salem had unleashed her most powerful attack so far.

And Yang was across from her. She was making her way towards her right now. Things weren't going their way at all.

And, Ozcar wasn't much better.

He had taken the brunt of the attack so far and was now collapsed against one of the walls in the room, trying to used the gathered energy left within his cane to use his magic.

Meanwhile, Jaune was slowly closing in, his Semblance-infused Aura taking hit after hit as he stoically closed the gap, making his way towards the four Relics empowering the ritual. Trying to do his damnedest to at least buy her team time to finish off Salem.

But she wasn't giving them an opening. She was too far away for her to attack with Crescent Rose's scythe. Too resilient against the Dust they were using. Too powerful for her sister to brute force, to contain for a Team Attack.

For anything.

She made her way around Salem, right where Yang had fallen. As she got there, her sister suddenly sprang to her feet, eyes red and hair shining with flames from her activated Semblance. Just like they had planned.

Ruby smiled at that.

Yang took her in her arms, spun about, before catapulting her towards the witch in the center of the room. She felt her eyes glow with silver light.

/ /

Gnasty grunted with sudden pain as he blasted by a beam of purple light. He stumbled back, slamming into the mountain face behind him. He shook his head and looked up in shock and horror to find Spyro there, glowing with a black miasma.

Somehow, he had powered up. Somehow, he had gathered the magic necessary to rip through even his empowered defenses.

No he thought and took his staff. It couldn't end like this. He wouldn't let it.

/ /

Salem turned and looked on in shock at the sudden appearance of Ruby Rose, a snarl on her face, as she flew at her. She raised an arm to catch the blade of her scythe only to be blown backwards as Ruby unleashed the full extent of her Silver Eyes at her.

The Witch of the Woods flew through the air then, temporarily stunned by the attack, and slammed against the wall. Her body almost splattered as it impacted like a bug hitting a window.

She then fell to the floor heavily.

It took only a moment for her form to reconstitute from the attack. But it was far slower than normal.

She sat up slowly, wearily, having taken far more damage in the last hour than she ever had before. Even against Ozma in his first incarnation as the False God.

As she did, she watched as the blond-hair boy made to grab for the Staff where she had it placed on the pedestal in the middle of the room. A barrier arose, forcing his hand back. He grunted and screamed with pain as he then somehow forced his way through the barrier to clutch at the staff.

"No," she hissed as she rose to her feet. "Not now. Not after getting this close!"

She flew towards the youth, screeching with rage.

He turned and looked on in horror as he tried to present his shield before her. She reached forth, extending her arms as she sought to crush him. Only to be blasted backwards with a rush of magic.

She shrieked with rage as she was flung away. She landed on her back once more only to quickly roll to her feet and launched a burst of magic forwards towards the blond boy once more.

It was stopped midway by an equally powerful blast of green energy. The two beams energy collided there in the middle of the room, pulsating with magic as the two forced ever more power into the struggle.

"Enough, Oz-ma!" She roared with anger. "You know you can't win against me. My magic is stronger! It always has been!"

Even as she screamed at him, the possessed host continued to exerted everything he had left in the onslaught. He was joined by all of Team RWBY then as they shot her, stabbed at her, punched at her, puncturing her form with Dust rounds of all types.

Meanwhile the last youth was still standing there forcibly trying to removed the Relics from their stands, even as his arm was burning, tearing. Bleeding from the barrier she had raised, hoping to disrupt the ritual before it could be completed.

And the magic between the two sorcerers continued to build, warping the spacetime around them.

/ /

With a lucky blast of magic from his staff, Gnasty shot Cinder out of the sky. She fell, after a horrific cry of pain, unconscious to land at the edge of the cliff face.

"Cinder!" Spyro cried out in furious loss.

Gnasty smiled at that. But before he could celebrate he was struck once more by a beam of Dark Aether energy, the wave of sheer power charring his skin and burning through his enchanted armor, melting it as it did so.

He grunted with pain and turned towards his hated foe as he hovered there before him, too far away to swing at, but far enough to easily wing out of the way of a magical spell.

He screamed and roared with anger. With denial!

He would not lose, not now.

Not here.

As Spyro started to dive at him, his form being surrounded by more of that Dark Aether energy, he raised his staff, the magic gathering at its tip, and turned, shooting the beam of arcane energy into the portal in a last bid of defiance, knowing it was all over.

It shook and pulsated, glowing green and purple as it grew.

And grew.

/ /

As Salem raged against Ozma and his allies, the moon reached its zenith. With a weird whine of power, a beam of silver light shot down and struck the pedestal just as Jaune ripped away the Staff of Creation.

The ritual disrupted, the pulse of energy exploded outwards, throwing everyone off their feet besides the two sorcerers, their magics somehow holding them in place.

Then, by some unknown quirk of Magic or Fate, the spells they were unleashing against each other combined with that of the Moon's, the gods', and tore a hole in reality. Where they met the energies of the Gnasty's Portal.

Realities warped and distorted. Timelines and dimensions twisted. And the magical energies continued to grow, and grow. Until the Realms and Reality could hold them no more.

Then, they erupted, exploded.

/ /

As the denizens of their respective worlds watched on, hoping against hope that their respective Heroes would defeat the great Evils befalling them, they blinked as with a great flash of light everyone on both sides of the Void was suddenly bathed in a white light.

And, their worlds faded away.

A/N: That, was intense, wasn't it. And, I guess, also in character with my writing. I do write some dark openings, don't I? But, as you should all know by now (I hope) No matter how dark the opening or backstory my characters Will have a happy ending. Why? Because that's my personal belief. No matter how dark your story may be I truly believe you can have a Good life and a happy end. You just have to have work for it.

Alright, Essiter out.

And remember, You Are Awesome, Always! Stay Awesome.
