Alert: hey so you may be wondering what this actually is and to answer that, I've recently been going through a problem many writers of fanfic get. I've been coming up with many ideas and no way to write them, unfortunately. So instead of making tons of stories, I decided to just do what some other writers have done and put them all into a single story.

This will work by putting the (Chapter: Title) at the top of each chapter, so you know which story you are reading whenever I decide to switch things up. I will be continuing my other fic and will probably do a few chapters every time I release a new one instead of just switching around every new chapter lol.

Chapter: The Apathetic Heir

Chapter: 01

(Arrival of the Devil)

Strolling out the door, I sighed, today had been a long day. I barely noticed or cared when I accidentally stumbled into someone, only muttering an apology.

My only goal right now was to make it home, I didn't have any plans. All I wished to do was sleep and forget about work until I woke up and repeated this tortuous cycle.

Checking my phone, I noticed it was my birthday… great, happy birthday to me. Maybe I'll buy myself a treat before heading home… yea, that sounds nice, I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

Walking across the road, I could only make a huh before I was rammed into by a car. My bones shattering instantly and my body simply exploding. Just like that, I died within seconds.

-Scene Change-

Opening my eyes tiredly, I look around at my surroundings in pure confusion. Where was I? Looking around, all I could see was a never ending grey plane. That couldn't quite be called grey but more as if colour had simply been sucked out of everything.

I suddenly recalled my last memories and immediately understood what had happened and why I was here.

So… I guess I was dead.

I don't know why I was expecting anything else after death. I mean, I wasn't a big fan of religion or anything, but just darkness was a pleasant surprise. I closed my eyes and relaxed for the first time in many years.

I should probably be worried about my family or something of the sort, but I held no real attachments, I had long since realised they didn't really care about me.

Hell, they probably didn't even know I was dead. They had always showered my brother and sister with more care than they had for me. Unfortunately, I was born the eldest child, which, for some reason, meant I wasn't as important as my younger siblings.

While I struggled to make money and buy a car, they were gifted cars at the age of 18 while I had to work nearly to death to get a car not even worth a quarter of theirs.

My family hadn't been poor in fact, they were, dare I say, pretty well off? They had the decency to buy me clothes however much worse they were from my siblings, but apart from food, which I stopped getting after I turned 18, that was really about all.

I had tried my best to connect, but alas, it simply wasn't meant to be. All my life I had been chasing the dream of becoming successful and achieving something that would make my siblings blush in envy and my parents finally realise I was better than them.

In the end, reality hit me hard and by the age of 24, I had managed to get myself a low-income desk job. Honestly, by the end of my life I was just going through the motions of life. My feelings dulled to the point nothing really phased me anymore.

Even my death was lacklustre. Watching that car speed towards me, I probably could have dodged, but I simply didn't care. In a way, death wasn't even enough to phase me.

I suppose none of that matters now, I let my mind go into silence and set adrift for a while. I embraced the pure silence and darkness that enshrouded me before that was all cut off as a blinding light forced my eyes open.

[Greetings, you have been selected to be chosen for the gamer system.]

I looked at the screen in front of me and let out a sigh of slight annoyance. Looks like I've somehow gone crazy.

[I can assure the user that you are currently sane, well, in your version of sane I suppose.]

"…"

"Mhm" I said disinterestedly.

Of course, I had some sort of idea of what was currently happening due to the fact I had grown up reading those types of stories, the stories where the main character gained a gamer system and became powerful.

The idea itself excited me, but due to experiences I was wary of getting my hopes up. Wouldn't want to let myself get disappointed.

[you truly are a peculiar being, ehm greetings aside, let's move on to getting yourself customised for your new adventure!]

"Alright."

"I don't suppose you can tell me which world I am going to be reincarnated in?" I asked calmly.

[You are going to the world of Breasts and Dragons Highschool dxd!]

My eyes widened slightly in surprise, I hadn't actually realised I was going to a fictional world. Of course, I know about high school dxd with the pervy red dragon emperor who somehow has a harem yet is still a virgin.

I had watched it when I was younger, since I had kind of been an otaku back then to help with my depression and escape reality.

This was going to be interesting.

[Firstly let's choose your race!]

[You have been gifted 5000 SP (selection points)]

{Races available}

Human - 0SP

Human (Sacred gear Welder) - 100SP

[Uncommon Races]

Reincarnated Devil - 400 SP

Pureblood Devil - 750 SP

Demigod - 1000 SP

-[Legendary Races]-

God - 10000 SP

Dragon - 5000 SP

-[Mythical Races]-

Dragon God - 50000 SP

I scan through the options with curiosity and slight excitement bubbling within me. The sheer variety of options made my lips twist into a smile. I obviously wasn't going to be a human, even if I had a chance at a Longinus sacred gear.

Seeing the price difference between angel and fallen angels, I raised an eyebrow confused, why was angel lower priced? Couldn't I technically choose to be an angel as my race and just make myself fall to become a fallen angel.

[No, being a gamer means you have a protection from all body altering outside influences, as an angel, you would not be able to fall. Thus making angel a lower price due to its more restrictive nature of its faction in dxd.]

I hummed in acknowledgment and continued. I wasn't choosing to be a reincarnated devil since that would just make me a slave, no matter what fancy words they use to describe their slaves.

Pureblood devil, though, my eyes stopped on the option before continuing. I'll come back to that, but it would be hasty of me not to check all my options.

Yokai were out of the question, they were just some overrated animal people with slightly more strength than humans. From my memory, most of them were low or mid-class in power.

Though, the rare youkai option had me intrigued.

"What's the difference between a normal yokai and a rare yokai?" I questioned the system aloud.

[Normal yokai would let you become a common type of yokai such as a monkey or tiger yokai while the rare version would let you have the chance to become a kitsune or a nekoshu.]

"I see." My eyes lingered a bit before once again moving on to the other options. Looking at the demigod with interest, I decided not to, I would still be half human and would probably be controlled by whichever god became my parent.

I frowned as I looked at the option to become god and the price next to it. What was the point of adding it onto a list if I wouldn't be able to afford it.

[The number of points you gained was determined on how you lived in your past life, had you cured cancer or done something extraordinary, you would have been awarded more SP.]

"Ah, that makes more sense."

Looking at the dragon option I briefly considered it since dragons are probably the strongest race in highschool dxd, but I hesitated as it would consume all my SP.

That would be fine but I had a feeling there would be other options in my customisation that would also require i use SP.

[You are correct there will be other options down the line of your customisation.]

That settles it, I didn't bother giving dragon god a glance since I wouldn't be able to afford it, no matter how much I would have liked to become one. Now that I had gone through all the options, I went back to the pureblood devil option.

Honestly, this was the only real option for me that made sense, being a fallen angel would just make me a subordinate to someone the same with rare yokai while being a pureblood devil would instantly make me wealthy.

Which admittedly sounded much more appealing due to my previous poor lifestyle, plus, on top of that, I would gain devil magic and a bloodline to boot. Not needing anymore thought, I selected Pureblood devil and moved on.

[Perfect, now please select bloodline!]

Briefly feeling myself overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices, I instantly want to choose the bael bloodline due to the power of destruction right off the bat, but I stop myself from choosing it straight away.

I honestly didn't know what bloodlines most of these houses had, and I could only afford the Asmodeus bloodline if I wanted the bloodlines of one of the original Satan's bloodlines.

That would cost me all my SP though and I would rather not waste it all yet just in case something good came around when selecting other things.

Looking at the random button that was free, I shrugged. Fuck it. It's not like it matters too much anyway even if it would make things easier having the power of destruction, I would still be a noble and with the gamer system, I should be able to become powerful regardless.

With that, I picked the random button.

[I seriously don't know how you are so lucky…]

"What did I get?" I asked with excitement.

[You'll see once you generate your status.]

[Now onto your skill selection.]

[Fighter] [Ranger] [Support] [Mage] [Rogue] [Special-Locked]

Locking onto the mage option, I didn't need much thought as I selected mage. Who wouldn't want to use magic?

[Elementalist] [Druid] [Summoner] [Necromancer] [Healer] [Illusionist] [Priest]

This was a slightly more difficult decision, while I had no intention of becoming a healer or illusionist since they were both pretty weak and the priest option didn't even need to be looked at.

A devil priest would be pretty funny, but I have a feeling the rest of the devils won't share my amusement on the matter. Druid was also a no-go, a devil using nature to fight also seemed pretty funny but nonetheless isn't a strong ability.

The summoner and necromancer made me briefly consider the options before shaking my head. I would rather not rely on my summons or undead to fight. Maybe after I've gained a bit of strength, I could reconsider.

Now that left me with my last choice. Elementalist.

Choose an element.

[Fire] [Wind] [Ice] [Water] [Earth] [Lighting] [Light] [Shadow] [Lava] [Combustion] [Metal] [Locked] [Locked] [Locked] [Locked] [Locked] [Locked]...

A lot of choices, this wasn't going to be easy to choose. Light was instantly out. Metal wouldn't be great since I didn't know if the underworld even used that to build anything, making me easily weakened with no metal nearby.

Shadow was intriguing but would be weak to light, definitely something I will choose should I be able to master my skill and get another element. The Lighting was pretty deadly and was also a very good choice for the future, but I didn't resonate with it.

The ice was pretty good too, but looking at the lava I could feel it resonate with me. While I could choose the other potentially strong elements. Lava had a lot of uses and felt more versatile at the moment.

I briefly considered the other elements but made my mind up to choose lava.

skill Gained

"System will this be the last chance I have to spend selection points?" I asked for confirmation.

[Yes.]

Legendary maid, hidden legendary castle, family heirloom and legendary familiar. I might as well get the best I can, with this being the last I could use of my selection points. I had thought about getting a legendary weapon but decided my current choices were better.

I could always steal one later on of course.

[Last part.]

[Would you like to gain a perk for a drawback?]

[Y/N]

"Will I be able to get rid of these traits?" I asked.

[Eventually yes.]

"Why not."

Ignoring the trait, the perk was a nice surprise, the magical prodigy, while good, had worked on any magical classes, meaning any class that didn't involve magic would have been harder to level up.

[Customisation is now complete, prepare yourself for departure.]

[Safe travels!]

With that I could only widen my eyes as a giant blackhole sucked me in and transported me into another world.

-Scene change-

[Past 2000 years before mc arrives.]

Sitting on a large throne, a man with abyssal black hair and glowing golden eyes, frowns in displeasure as he reviews his choices.

This man, who had a supernatural charm that would make any woman lust for him at the sight of his face at first sight, was currently thinking about his newborn child he had decided to have with Lilith.

To be honest, he was getting tired. The war with his father had gone on for centuries and there was no progress being made, his son rizevim had become corrupted due to his hate, a mistake he had come to regret deeply now his anger had started to cool down.

He had finally decided to have a true-born son with Lilith, who was the first devil not created by Lilith's magic but instead made naturally through Lilith's womb.

Truth be told, unlike with rizevim the first time he had laid eyes on his true son it had been enough to snap him out of his anger. Seeing his son had made him feel an overwhelming amount of care and fatherly affection he had never felt before.

With that love came a deep fear, the fear that this war would reach him and the fallen angels would try and harm his son in their next raid. So he had come up with a decision. A hard one for him and Lilith, but one that would keep him safe anyway.

Per a secret request, the dantalion had created a complex and extremely expensive ward formation that dilated time around a massive castle he had built just for his son. He had made sure to fill it with all his riches and items should anything happen to him while he was finishing this war.

Yes, his plan was to seal his son into the castle with a time dilation that made time on the inside slow while the outside world was sped up so when this war was over he could still have the honor to raise him without missing his childhood.

It would be a while before he could see his son, but he was sure it would all work out in the end and his son would not be alone. He had decided that one of the Lucifuge maids would accompany his son.

"Gremailia, come here." He commanded the young Lucifuge in front of him.

She looked to be around 18 years old. Gremailia possessed an undeniable allure, surpassing expectations for someone her age.

Her reputation as one of the most sought-after young women in the underworld was well-deserved. With her curvaceous hourglass figure and ample bosom, she exuded a charm of temptation.

Her lips, delicately plump and glistening, held an allure any man would die to feel. The piercing silver of her eyes made men and women alike enthralled by her.

"You will be given a mission of utmost importance, Lilith and I have decided to have a child. Due to safety reasons concerning his well-being we will be putting him into a warded formation that will accelerate time outside so when the war is over, me and Lilith will be able to raise him ourselves." Lucifer said calmly, while his eyes locked onto her form, as if looking for any sign of hesitation.

"You are from this day to become his personal maid, be honoured little Lucifuge for you will serve the heir of the Lucifer house."

Gremailia looked shocked but quickly recovered and barely contained her ecstatic smile, her whole purpose was to serve the Lucifer house and to serve the heir was indeed a great honour.

"Yes, my lord, I will not fail you." She said resolutely.

"I know you won't since my loyal butler shall be accompanying the both of you." He said much to her anger.

Stepping out from the side came a handsome butler who radiated a powerful dark aura. This was Lucius Zechariah, a small private clan that only the Lucifuge knew about. The lucifuge and Zechariah had a rivalry between them both due to the fact they contended for the favor of Lucifer.

She scowled but quickly covered her face in a stony cold mask, it seemed she would be competing for the favor of her new lord.

"My lord, I shall be honored to serve the heir of Lucifer." He said calmly, with a slight smirk at Gremailia.

"Yes, I expect you will. Now prepare your belongings and be back here in 4 hours, I would rather go sooner, but Lilith is hesitant to let go of our son." Lucifer said with a slight smile at the thought of Lilith and his son.

"Yes my lord!"

"Yes Lord Lucifer."

They both said only to scowl at each other, before Gremailia took the initiative and asked.

"Lord Lucifer, if I could be so bold enough to ask for the name of my new lord." She said with emphasis on "my" with a challenging look towards Lucius.

"My son's name is Raziel." He stated proudly with a boom, as if reality had trembled at the name.

-END-

We all knew what happened from there, had this idea for a bit. You are welcome to give me suggestions, since I always enjoy your reviews. Also, I know lava may be a weird choice but meh I wanted something different, sue me.

Editor: Would appreciate it if the reviews are actually suggestions not complaints, we are not human resources here Alright!
