Chapter 3
I swung from building to building. I had just finished a battle with Doc Oc once more. He was resilient. I figured I would head over to my apartment and chill there. Maybe create an animation. I swung myself through my window I left open. I pulled off my mask and took out my hair. My dark locks falling onto my shoulders. I went and got dressed into a baggy sweater with my blue sweats. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and headed over to my drawing desk. There on the desk was my unfinished sketch of Spider-Man.
I snorted. He didn't call himself Spider-Man. I went back to the drawing, adding his hood and the colors. I pulled on headphones, playing music while I drew my animation. I hummed along with the song.
Suddenly my spidey senses flared. I turned my head in alarm, looking at my window.
"Hey Jumpy." He chuckled. His mask was off but his hood was still on. His neck length chocolate hair hung over him. I would have webbed his mouth shut then and there for using that nick name but I didn't. Instead I ran for him, as fast as a jumping spider. I rammed myself into him, pulling him into a hug.
"How?" I asked, pulling away. He held up his wrist, pointing at some sort of goober watch.
"I came to give you a gift." He grinned. I was to busy looking at the watch.
"No, how are you here? You're not glitching." I said, dumbstruck.
"The watch." He said. Then he handed me a box. I opened it, still eyeing Alexandre. Inside the box was a watch, same as his. He walked toward the window, halfway climbing out.
"Where are you going?" I asked, still observing the watch. He shrugged, then pulled on his mask.
"Just back to work." He looked at me with a playful look on his face. "Wanna come?" My heart fluttered. I ran into my bedroom, put on my suit, then followed him to the roof. He stood next to some sort of portal. He stood there waiting for me, his arms crossed.
"You ready?" He asked, playfully. I grinned, then pulled on my mask. "Just don't forget the watch." He said pointing at my hand. I put it on and followed him through the portal. I felt like I was thrown in and falling. I held straight and stiff. Then it was over. I opened my eyes. I was standing next to Alexandre. Then I looked around. There were spider people everywhere. I stared in awe.
"Where are we?" I asked. Alexandre opened his mouth but someone above us, or under us, beat him to it.
"Welcome to Spider Society.." I looked up. It was Gwen Stacy.
"She's a Spider-woman?!" I exclaimed. Alexandre nodded.
"Their heading to HQ," He grinned. "To see Miguel."
"And, who is that?" I asked. He just grinned.
"Follow me. I know a short cut than the path their heading." He swung off to the left of the group. I followed him. Then we showed up in a dark room with red lighting. Alexandre went up on a platform above us.
"Ay, mi amigo!" He cried. I swung up to the top. Alexandre was bro hugging a man in a dark blue and red suit. He had cuts and bruises all over his face. He had a small smile but wasn't with us. He was in thought. There were monitors all around him. The screens all had a young dark skinned boy, also in a spider suit. Then I knew who he was.
Miles Morales. The boy who saved the multiverse.
