Hi Readers: Hope you guys liked last chapter, but now I'm back with a new one for you; and a bunch more tomorrow as I'm not working until Thursday. But now, I am not here to waste time in regard to writing you a note. Rather, I am here to write this new story that I am excited that I have a chance to work on both tonight and tomorrow as I have a bunch of time to update. Chapter Eighteen

She decided that she wasn't just going to sit here and look sexy while she waited for her husband to come out of the closet in those tight boxers, the tight boxers what she loves to admire whenever he wears them, when she can instead do something else. And that would be watch some TV. Hell, maybe she can even put it on the Hallmark Channel right now due to the fact that it's Christmas time. God, Christmas. That word still sounds like paradise to her right now, simply due to the fact that she and Matt are going to be celebrating their first Christmas together; both as an "official" couple, and as husband and wife. And they'll do so in just a bit more than three weeks. And that actually reminds her about something that she needs to do, which is text her parents. So, she decided to grab her phone and let them know that she and Matt made it to Florida safely. 'Hi mom. We made it to Florida safely. We're at our place in Pinecrest now.' Taking a breath, she then thought about anything else she may need to tell her mom after sending the first text. And that was when she remembered the fact that they may be spending an extended period of time here, which is important.

It's important to tell her based on the fact that her aunt Melinda isn't doing the best. 'Just to let you know, we might be staying here for a while so that we can get away from Chicago for a bit. That way, we can start our marriage elsewhere rather than in the city where we still have to hide our love for each other. Maybe we can talk sometime to figure out Christmas?' Sending that last text to her mom, Alex re-read them as she wanted to make sure that she told her mom everything that she needed to say to her; and based on what she was reading at the moment, she most certainly did. So, she decided to do something else while she had her phone in her hands; and that would be to text her best friend Mikaela Adams too as she wanted her to know that she's down here in Florida too. 'Hey Mik, just thought I'd let you know that me and Matt (my husband) are in Florida; IDK what you might do for NYE, but we're going to stay here for a while. Let me know if you and Leslie want to come down and celebrate NYE here with us.' Hitting send on that text, Alex was about to set her phone down when she actually got a reply from her mother. So, she went ahead and read the message.

After all, she might as well do it just in case she needs to answer any questions she may have. 'We would LOVE IT if you hosted Christmas Alex. Talk to Matt and let us know the details and me and your dad will be there, MAYBE Mark and Abby too. Not sure with baby Sacha. God, she is so adorable! When can I get a Casey grandbaby?' And let's just say that Alex was shocked when she read that. 'MOM! We just got married! And there are things that you don't know about his breakup with his ex. Now, can you please keep me up to date when it comes to Aunt Melinda?' Alex's mom agreed with her when she said that. 'Of course, I promise to keep you up to date on Aunt Melinda. But she'll be fine!' Alex agreed with her mother as she said that, well aware that her aunt's going to be fine. 'Matt literally told me the same thing. Now, I'm going to take it easy and relax on my HONEYMOON. Do not call me this week unless it's urgent.' And that was when Alex got a text back from Mikael about her New Year's Eve plans, and her invitation to come here. 'Miami for NYE? Hell yeah! You better le me stay at that nice place of yours with your husband! BTW You owe me now bitch!'

Alex was shocked as she read that text, so she decided that she needed to call her best friend about what she said; especially the part where she called her a bitch when she's also the wife of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, aka her head boss. That, and she needs to get an answer to just what she means when she says that she owes her. And luckily for her, Mikaela answered right away. "I had a feeling that you were going to call me right away after you read that text I sent you." Alex agreed with Mikaela as she said that. "First of all, watch it when it comes to who you call a bitch. May I remind you that my new title is Ms. Matthew Casey or Ms. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company you work for? So, watch it when you call me a bitch!" Mikaela agreed with her best friend as she said that, well aware that this is going to be a trying time for their friendship. "Hey, we're best friends first. Our relationship pre-dates your marriage and relationship for that matter to Matt. We were high school besties, so that means that you owe your loyalty to me first missy!" Alex was shocked as she heard Mikaela say that, as she clearly has no idea how marriage works if she thinks that.

I mean, she made vows to her husband. "Okay, NO! I made VOWS to MY HUSBAND! Not to you!" And that was when Matt decided to come out of the washroom, right when Alex said the word 'husband'. "Yes, you did make vows to me. Now, why are you yelling?" Turning her head to look at Matt, Alex smiled as her husband looks very handsome. "God, you look so nice in those." Matt agreed with Alex while walking over to her at their bed; after which, he leaned over her and put his hand on the side of her face. Bending down, he smirked as he kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you and the lingerie you're wearing. Now, what's going on?" Alex smiled. "On the phone with Mikaela." Matt agreed with Alex. "Then, do you mind if I take a shower, or do you want me to wait? I'm sweaty." Alex smiled. "I'm going to take either a shower or a bath later, but you go ahead and take one now if you're sweaty. No sexy time in bed if you're all sweaty." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling as she said that; and that means that he's going to take a shower since he wants to get some sexy time with his beautiful wife. "Then I better go take a shower." Alex agreed.

After which, she wanted as Matt leaned over her and put his hand on the side of her face again. Leaning in, he smiled as he kissed her softly while they both held each other close; however, that didn't mean that Mikaela liked the sound of the two of them making out. "OKAY! I'm still on here bitch! Do you really need to make out with your husband?" Pulling away from the kiss, Alex immediately returned to her call when she heard Mikaela call her a bitch. "Excuse me? Who are you calling a bitch? Oh, and by the way, we are not getting off topic for much longer. We still need to talk about what the hell you mean when you say that I OWE you!" Looking at his wife, Matt just knew that it was time to leave; so, he put his hands up. "I'm out of here. You girls work it out. I am not going to be caught in the middle of this." Alex laughed, before deciding to tell her husband that they're going to be hosting Christmas this year; something that she already told her mom. "By the way, I already told my mom that we're hosting Christmas this year." However, Matt's reaction to her saying that was unexpected as he was shocked. "Oh, we're so talking about that afterwards." Alex just glared.

She glared at her husband, because she wanted him to just say 'yes honey' like the good husband (and lover) she knows he is. And because of what glare she was giving him, Matt caved immediately; just like he always does when Alex glares at him the way she was just glaring at him. "Yes dear." Alex smirked. "Babe, I'll explain more later. But we need to let them get out of the cold and come here. But listen, you go take a shower and I'll be waiting here for you." Matt agreed with his sexy with as she said that, before smirking as he walked up to Alex once more; placing his hand on her neck afterwards, Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves. "You better be here waiting for me, as I love this sight; and the lingerie that you're wearing for me." Alex smirked as she heard Matt say that, quickly grabbing his hand as they both held each other close. After which, she watched as Matt walked away so that he could go take a shower; at least, he was just as soon as he grabbed a fresh pair of boxers (which is exactly what he just finished doing). Then, and only then did he grab his towel and head to the washroom so that he can take a shower to freshen up this morning.

Meanwhile, Alex took a breath and got back to the conversation that she was having with Mikaela Adams, her best friend and fellow Casey lingerie model. "Ok. Where we were?" Mikaela laughed as she heard Alex say that, before reminding her of just where they were. "I think we were at the part where I told you that you owe me." Alex then went to correct her best friend. "Actually, we're at the part where I tell you that I don't owe you shit Adams!" Mikaela laughed, as she most certainly does owe her something. "excuse me, but last time I checked…you stole my job as maid of honor. What the hell Alex! And you don't even ask me to be your witness at the wedding!" Alex laughed. "Ok. Please, just let me explain." Mikaela agreed, deciding to let her best friend (sister) explain. "We literally did it in the spur of the moment. He proposed to me in the park, and then he told me he didn't want to wait. We were just going to do it the two of us. But then, his best friend Andrew Darden was there; so, he was our witness." Mikaela was shocked. "Wow, that's a lot to take in. I guess that makes sense." Alex agreed. "We just had to do it." Mikaela was shocked when she heard Alex tell her that.

But not for the reasons that you may think, as she thought it was for another reason. "Oh my god, are you really?" Alex was confused as she heard Mikaela say that but couldn't ask her what she meant before she continued. "Is this the real reason you guys left? Because you want to hide your belly from..." Alex then soon realized what her friend was asking her. "Oh god. Do you really think we're ready to be pregnant yet Mik? I mean, do you remember what ended my husband's previous engagement?" Mikaela agreed with her best friend as she asked her that question, as she was well aware of the events that surround the demise of her de facto brother-in-law's previous (failed) engagement. "Is it wrong as an employee of Casey to call that woman a bitch? Or am I safe to do that?" Alex laughed as Mikaela asked her that, before snickered a bit as it was more than okay. "Oh, trust me; she's way worse than a bit. She's evil for doing it to a man who wants to be a dad more than anything in the entire world. By the way, please tell me that Shay didn't just hear that. I already know that his PA has feelings for him." Mikaela sighed as she heard her best friend say that.

After all, that's the last thing that she should have on her mind right now; after all, she's married to Matt now. "Alex, are you really still hung up on that? Babe, you got the guy for good! He's your husband now! Take a breath and just relax because you caught a catch. I mean, I'm lesbian…but he's a hunk." Alex smirked, as he most certainly is a hunk; but he's not just any hunk. "He's not just any hunk, he's my hunk. By the way, I promise not to tell Leslie; or is it Shay? I keep forgetting." Mikaela then proceeded to clarify what her girlfriend likes to be called. "She likes to go by her last name, as she despises her first name.. She just hasn't found a name that she can change her first name to. I mean, it's okay for me as I like using her last name. But that just means that she needs to take my name heaven forbid we get married. By the way, what's it like?" Alex was confused as Mikaela asked her that question, as she didn't understand what she really means by that question. "What are you talking about? Not exactly following you when it comes to the question that you just asked me." Mikaela agreed, before clarifying. "What's it like being married?" Alex then understood.

She understood what she was asking her, especially when Mikaela clarified even more. "Is it different in any way? Do you like it, or is it weird?" Alex smiled, as she loves being married. "I love being married. I mean, I already knew we were forever; but there's just something about being his wife and wearing the ring that makes it feel so much more real. That we're forever." Mikaela agreed with Alex as she said that, while she asked her a question. "Does that make any sense?" Mikaela agreed with her best friend once more, as it most certainly does. "Hey, of course it makes sense babe. Just remember that my offer still stands to beat him up if he ever does anything to hurt you." Alex laughed. "You do realize that you'd be in line behind my dad and brother, right?" Mikaela agreed with her bestie when she said that, as that most certainly would be the truth; she would be third in line to beat up her husband, after her father and brother. And that's only if (and it's a big if) Matt ever did something wrong, not that he ever would (or could) when he loves Alex more than anything in the entire world; and that most certainly does include his dogs, one of which decided they want attention.

They want attention from their momma on the bed. "Come here Theo. Come here boy." Mikaela then remembered that Matt and Alex have dogs. "Right, you guys have dogs. God, what are they again?" Alex smiled. "Theo is a Jack Russell Terrier, and then we have Cassie who's a Yorkie." Mikaela agreed with Alex as she said that. "Right, I knew they were Terriers. For some reason, I just forgot the names and breeds. By the way, I forgot to mention. I heard from Matt via e-mail that you guys are taking time off? Like, a lot of time off?" Alex agreed with Mikaela, before sighing as she knew that she needed to talk to her about that. "We're taking until the New Year to just take it easy and relax with each other as we start our marriage." Mikaela agreed, but also knew better; she knew better than anybody that wasn't everything, and that they weren't just taking the rest of the year off so that they can start their marriage. There's something else that Alex isn't telling her, and she's going to find out what that is right now. "Ok. I don't want to push, but I can tell based on the way that you're talking to me that there's another reason for the time off. What's up girl?" Alex snickered.

Because as much as she loves the concern that she was getting from her best friend, she was being completely honest about the reasons why she and Matt are taking time off with each other. "Mikaela, is it wrong for me to just want to take some time off with my new husband?" Mikaela just agreed with Alex, as of course it was okay for the two of them to get time off; heaven knows that they need it after being apart for so long. "Of course, it's okay for you guys to take the time off you need, you haven't been able to be together in a long time." Alex agreed with her best friend as she said that, as that was the reason why they were taking time off. "And that's why we're taking time off Mik. We want to spend time with each other and just be with each other, take time and relax. Maybe make my bestie an auntie." Mikaela laughed as she heard Alex say that. "Are you guys already trying?" Alex smiled as Mikaela asked her that question. "We're not, not trying." Mikaela then understood. "Ok. So, you're not trying, but you won't be mad if it happens." Alex agreed with Mikaela, as that was precisely what she was trying to say. "I'm just worried how Matt's going to deal with it."

Mikaela was confused as she heard Alex say that, as she didn't get what she was talking about. "What are you talking about?" Alex sighed. "Mik, he was already lied to about one pregnancy." Mikaela understood where she was coming from, but this is her that they're talking about. "Alex, you're his WIFE! This is way different than the last time around. And you know what he went through with the fake pregnancy, and I already know that you're going to double check and triple check with a doctor that you're really, truly pregnant before you tell Matt." Alex agreed with Mikaela as she said that, as that's what she's going to have to do. "I feel like I'm going to have to do that because of what his stupid ex did. I mean, she's literally affecting our marriage. I hate that about what she did, because it screws me up. Now, I'm going to have to prove to my husband that I'm pregnant." Coming out of the washroom while wrapping his towel around his waist, Matt was shocked when he heard Alex say that. "You're pregnant?" Turning her head to look at matt, Alex took a breath and spoke to Mikaela one last time. "Mika, I got to go." Mikaela agreed, hanging up to let her friend go.

She knew that this was going to cause confusion, how she just yelled to her friend that she's pregnant, when she's not really pregnant and wasn't even saying that. In reality (as you already know), she was commenting on the fact that she was going to have to prove that she's pregnant to her husband when she is pregnant. And that's what they need to talk about now as Matt finished putting his boxers on. "Oh wow, I'm still shocked. I mean, I knew that we had sex a couple weeks ago. I just didn't…" Getting up out of bed, Alex made her way over to Matt. "Hey, babe. Breathe." Turning to look at Alex, Matt then started to realize something. "Oh no, babe…." Getting close to his wife, Matt just went to wrap his arms around her. "Hey, it's okay. We can try again." Alex was shocked, as she wasn't saying that either. "Ok. No. Please, just take a breath and relax. That's not what I'm talking about." Matt just looked at his wife as she said that, while feeling her get close to him and grab his hand. After which, she intertwined their fingers as she looked at the man she loves. "Matt, I wasn't talking about now. I was talking about the future." Matt was still confused as he heard Alex say that.

Meanwhile, Alex let out a sigh. "Can we get in bed, and I can explain?" Matt agreed with Alex, as they most certainly can get in bed where she can explain; because anyways, that's where they explain things the best to each other. They make each other understand what they're talking about and just get into the details related to the important stuff that they need to talk about in life. And clearly, that's precisely what the tow of them need to do at the moment. They need to talk to each other and clear the air about what Alex just said, about being pregnant and what she's going to need to do. "Can you get in first babe?" Matt agreed with his wife as she asked him to get in first, before turning around and wrapping his arms around her first. Stepping close to her, he smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I promise, things are going to be okay." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, as she already knew that. "I know it will, especially since I wasn't saying that I was pregnant." Alex sighed. "I was just venting frustrations about how what Hallie did was going to make our life harder." Matt was confused. "How?" Alex sighed.

After which, she looked down and got close to him. "I feel like, when we are pregnant…" Matt already knew where this was going and just sighed as he pressed his lips to her forehead, before finishing what Alex was going to say. "You feel like you're going to need to prove that you're really pregnant to me." Looking down, Alex sighed as that was the last thing she wanted to admit to her husband; but it was the truth. "Matt…" Matt just nodded, well aware of the challenges that Hallie created for them; but he's going to talk to her right now and make sure that his beautiful wife knows the truth, which most certainly is not that. "Listen, let's get in bed. We can get all comfortable and talk about that here in bed." Alex agreed with Matt as she opened the covers to their bed, before feeling Matt walk up behind her and put his hands on her hips. "Want some help with something?" Smiling, Alex agreed as she did want some help with her bra. "Take it off." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, as she didn't need to ask him twice to do that; as he just ran his hand up her back and did it for her, even before she asked him to do so. "Don't have to ask me twice." Alex agreed with Matt.

After all, she absolutely loves the feeling of Matt's hand on her back as a way to please and tease her. And when she says tease, she really means tease as that's precisely what he always does when he touches her; and even more so when she's facing him, which is precisely what she's doing now that she's topless. She's facing her husband and stepping close to him while putting her hands on his chest. Meanwhile, Matt has his hands on her hips and smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves softly. "I love you." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as she loves him too. "I love you too, forever." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she told him that, smiling at her before she finally went ahead and got in bed ahead of him, which is precisely what he wants since he wants to lay down in bed with her after travelling here this morning. "God, finally; you're in bed and we can lay down." Alex then realized that Matt's a bit tired and probably wanted to lay down a while ago. "Sorry baby, I should've laid down sooner. You must be tired." Matt shook his head as he climbed into bed with his beautiful wife, before laying down and getting close to her.

Meanwhile, Alex put her hand on the side of Matt's face as she cuddled up to him as well and just held her man close to her. "God, I love that we're holding each other close like this." Matt agreed with Alex as he put his hand on her back, feeling the same way as his beautiful wife. "I feel the same way, because I'm incredibly happy to have you here by my side in bed now and forever." Alex agreed with Matt as she felt him wrap his arm around her waist. After which, he tugged her body right against his muscular chest; an action which most certainly did turn his wife on due to the fact that she always loves to cuddle up to her hunk of a husband. "I love that feeling. Always have and always will." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves softly. "How are you feeling right now? Tired? Happy that we're in bed?" Alex agreed with Matt as she wrapped her arms around him. "Yes, but I want to get back to talking about what we were talking abut. The pregnancy part." Matt agreed with Alex. "We can try again Alex." Alex shook her head. "I wasn't pregnant Matt." Matt just looked at his wife as she said that, a bit confused.

So, Alex did what she needed to do; and that would be to make sure that he is no longer confused. "I was talking to Mikaela. We were just talking about how I may have to double and triple check that I'm pregnant before you believe me." Matt was both surprised and heartbroken at the same time that Alex would even think that way. I mean, of course he understands why she would think that way based on the experience he's had in the past with Hallie. But she isn't Hallie, she's so much better than her and he trusts her so much more. So, why would she have to prove it to him so much. "Babe, do you really think that way?" Alex nodded, as she did. "Yeah. I just feel like you're…" Moving his hand to the back of Alex's head, Matt leaned in and crashed his lips against hers as a way to make her feel better. And let's just say that most certainly worked as she put her hand on his face and just took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "Alex, please, listen to me." Alex agreed with her husband, doing just that. "Alex, you're so much better than Hallie. You actually have a heart and conscience when it comes to having children." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that.

I mean, sure, it's rude to say that about somebody; but Alex believes that it's the truth after what Hallie did to him. "I already know that you would only tell me that you're pregnant if it was the truth, so never doubt that I will believe you when it comes time to you telling me that we're having a baby." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she got close to the man she loves, while also wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in to kiss him softly. At the same time, Matt ran his fingers down her back as they held each other close and just took it easy with each other here in the comfort of their bed. However, they didn't just end up taking it easy with each other here in bed, they also ended up making love to each other here in bed; and that's due to the fact that Alex ended up getting hormonal, especially after all this talk about them having a baby. And since it's on their mind, they decided that they might as well keep trying for the baby that they've both always wanted. The baby that Matt will already know they're having the moment Alex tells him that she's pregnant, as she's about to do right now. "Good, because that means you already know this isn't a prank."

Matt was shocked as he heard Alex say that, as he was in disbelief. "Wait, what?" Rolling over, Alex smiled as she went ahead and reached into her side table to grab the pregnancy test that she took. "Babe, what?" Reaching into her side table, Alex smiled as she grabbed the pregnancy test that she took before sitting up just like her husband was. But this time, she was sitting facing him, which then prompted Matt to do the same. "Ok. I am so lost. What are you talking about babe? Pregnant?" Getting close to Matt, Alex smiled as she grave him the pregnancy test that she took just a couple days ago right before they got back together. "Wait, when?" Alex smiled. "The night we got back together. I was due, and I didn't check from when we had fun on my birthday." Matt was surprised. "Oh my god, this makes so much sense now how you were asking me whether I would believe you when you said that you were pregnant." Alex agreed with her husband as he asked her that question. "And do you believe me?" Matt was shocked that Alex even asked him that question. "Baby, you have an ultrasound. Of course, I believe you, especially when you know that."

Alex agreed. "Do you understand the conversation now?" Matt agreed as he looked at his gorgeous wife, before setting the pregnancy test and ultrasound down on his side table. After which, he crawled over to his new wife and just smirked as he got on top of the woman of his dreams; the woman he ants to make love to so that they can celebrate his. At the same time, Alex put her hand on the back of Matt's neck and just smirked because of how much she loves her husband. The man of her dreams and the only man she would ever want to be the father of her children, which is precisely what Matt is. And now that he knows, they're going to celebrate the fact that they're having their first child. "First I get the girl, then I get the baby. Wait, we just told Mikaela that we aren't pregnant." Alex smirked as she leaned up and kissed the man of her dreams. "Couldn't tell my best friend first, my husband deserves to know that the woman of his dreams is going to make his biggest dream come true. Again." Matt was confused. "Again?" Alex looked at Matt. "Gee, last time I checked…you wanted to be my husband pretty bad!" Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, smiling at her.

After which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves once more. The future mother of his child. "We're staying here now that you're pregnant." Alex agreed with her husband, smiling as that was the case. "Celebration time. By the way, sorry I didn't tell you until now." Matt shook his head, as he was more than okay with that. "No apologies necessary. Now, let's celebrate." Alex agreed with Matt, doing just that as they both held each other close and just had fun with each other as they celebrated the fact that they're set to become parents next year; before eventually falling asleep after making love…which led to Alex having a nice dream.
