Chapter Nineteen

It still didn't feel real to him, that his wife was pregnant; that he and the woman he truly loves are having a baby, rather than him having a baby with the woman he's grown to hate. Because now that he's married to Alex and they're actually expecting a baby, that's the only way that Matt feels about his ex because of what she's done to him; what she's done to both him and his now-wife. To think, had she fooled him longer than she had, he could've missed out on the change to help Alex through the pregnancy. The real pregnancy that was going to lead to the woman of his dreams making him a father. But now, he has a chance to do just that…and even better, he gets a chance to help her through the pregnancy as her husband; he gets to be by her side as they navigate the pregnancy together, with him being there every step of the way. And when he says every step of the way, he truly means it. He's going to be at every doctor's appointment, and every single class that Alex wants him to take as they get ready to have a family; especially since he doesn't want to miss a second of this journey. He's not going anywhere, nor is he letting his wife go anytime soon; especially right now.

I mean, they are naked right now; naked as they cuddle and take it nice and easy with each other. After all, they did just celebrate the fact that they're having a baby. A real baby that they're going to love in the future as they raise him or her as husband and wife. But first, Matt needs confirmation; confirmation that he wasn't just hearing things when his gorgeous wife told him that she's pregnant, that they're truly having a baby with each other. And unfortunately, it's due to his past; the unfortunate remnant of his prior life with Hallie. The need for him to confirm that they're pregnant multiple times, especially when it's related to one of his biggest dreams; his dreams of becoming a father to a beautiful child that he and his wife can both love with all of their hearts. And that's precisely why Matt decided to ask his wife whether or not he was hearing things when she told him that she was pregnant (already). "I hate to even ask this, but I'm not dreaming; am I?" Smiling as she stroked Matt's chest this morning, Alex shook her head as she bent down and kissed his chest; prior to her turning her head and looking up at the man of her dreams, the man she loves with her whole heartedly.

The man who, as of next summer, will be the best father in the entire world; because that's something that Alex is already sure about, the fact that he's going to be the best father in the entire world. "No, you're not dreaming Matt. I'm really pregnant with our baby." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, while stroking her back with his thumb and pressing his lips to her forehead; an action which made Alex smile more than anything in the entire world because it's just a really nice feeling, a feeling that makes her extremely happy. And that's even more true then it's her loving husband who leaves a kiss on her forehead like that. The father of her child, her baby daddy; she just wishes that he didn't start snickering a bit shortly after kissing her forehead, as it lead to Alex being confused as to why he was doing what. "Hey, what's so funny?" Turning his head, Matt smiled as he looked down at the woman he loves. "We were literally just talking about having a baby, and how I promised you that I'd believe you when you told me that you were pregnant; and then that's exactly what you just did, you told me that you're pregnant with our baby." Alex agreed and smiled at Matt.

After all, there's nothing that could make her happier than the fact that she's pregnant with her and Matt's first child; her husband's first and only child (so far). "I'm so happy. I know that it's fast, but I hope you're okay with that. Are you?" Placing his hand on Alex's arm as he looked at his beautiful wife, Matt smiled as he turned his head and placed his hand on her back; after which, he stroked it as he looked into her gorgeous eyes. "Are you kidding me Alex? We both know that I've always wanted to be both your husband and a father." Running his hand up her back, Matt smiled as he rubbed Alex's upper back as he wrapped his arm around her and rubbed her arm; after which, he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves softly. "And now, that's precisely what I'm going to be; and even better, it's in that order. I'm already your husband, and in a couple months I'm going to be a father to our beautiful baby; we're going to be parents." Alex smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, as that most certainly is the truth; they're going to be parents. Yet at the same time, she couldn't help but wonder something. Something that would shock her husband. Yet, she still felt like she had to ask him.

Ask him whether he thought she's going to be a good mom. "I'm going to make a good mom, right Matt?" Looking down into Alex's eyes, Matt was shocked; I mean, did his wife really just ask him whether she's going to make a good mom? "Babe, did you really just ask me that question?" Biting her lip, Alex burring her head into Matt's chest until she heard him speak to her. "Babe, you're going to be an amazing mom; just like you're an amazing wife and lover." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, as that most certainly is something that she already knew she was an amazing wife, and an even better lover. "I think we both know that I'm a great lover, especially when it comes to celebratory love making sessions." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, while also running his hand up and down her arm; after which, he stroked her arm with his thumb as he continued to hold her close to him. Well, that, and as he bent down and kissed the woman he loves. "God, I am so happy; happy that this is all happening at once." Alex agreed with Matt, while also taking a breath due to the fact that there's still something she's worried about right now. And now, she has to do it while pregnant.

And just what might that be? It was making her grand debut in public as his wife, while also being an expectant mother; something that she needs to talk to Matt about due to the fact that she's worried about it. "And that's something that I'm actually worried about, how this is all happening at once. Us getting married, and then us having to go our as an official couple soon…with me also being pregnant. I mean, this could easily get stressful." Turning his head as he heard Alex mention that them going out in public could be stressful, Matt just knew that was something that was really on her mind; because it's common knowledge that stress isn't good for babies, or expectant mothers in general. "Are you nervous about the idea of us having to do that? Of us having to go out in public for the first time as husband and wife, while also expecting our first child?" Alex took a breath as that was what she was worried about, including the minor details of how it would work; including whether they would be okay. "I'm just worried that I'm going to do something wrong, which might lead to your dreams being destroyed again." Matt agreed with his wife as he kissed her forehead.

That was, until he heard the end of what she was saying, which is something that under no circumstances could he even agree with her about. "Especially since it could mean the end of our marriage when it just…" Bending down the moment he heard Alex start to go down that path with her sentence, Matt interrupted her by kissing her; something which he needed to do since he didn't want to hear what she was about to say. How she was about to say that it could lead to the end of their marriage, before it even gets a chance to start; but if there's one thing that Matt already knows, it's that their marriage isn't just going to survive. Rather, their marriage is going to thrive and be the best marriage in his entire family; and not just for the both of them (due to the fact that they love each other more than anything), but for the sake of their child who are going to want their parents to be together. And that's why Matt wasn't worried whatsoever when it came to whether their marriage is going to survive or not, as he already knew that it was going to survive; simply due to the fact that he knows that their love is already much stronger than his previous relationship, as they have trust.

They trust each other more than anybody in the entire world, and they've done so since they've started their relationship; I mean, they've stayed together even through his constant promises that he was going to end his relationship with Hallie any day now only for it to take much longer than expected. I mean, what type of man (and husband) would he be to give up on his wife (and the love of his life) so prematurely; especially when she's given him so many chances and waited for him as long as she did. And while doing so, she was honest with him the entire time; something that Matt truly appreciates about his relationship with his wife, just how open and honest they are with each other. And when she's scared (like she clearly is right now), she tells him so that they can get through her fears together as a couple; something which is even more crucial now that she's pregnant with their child, a child which they're going to meet since he's going to be here every step of the way as he makes sure that she and their baby are okay during her entire pregnancy. "Hey, look up into my eyes and listen to me Alex." Alex agreed with her husband, doing just that for the man she loves.

She looked up at him and listened to him, as he clearly had some things to say to her, which she wanted to hear. "Alex, this is the most solid relationship that I've ever had with any woman. Our marriage is solid and strong, and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon; especially not when you're pregnant with our child. And even more so due to the fact that you gave me so many chances. Alex, you had so many chances to leave me and give up on us; you could've ended things each and every time I asked for more time to end things with Hallie. But you didn't." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, as that most certainly was the case; something that she's grateful now that they're married and expecting their first child. And that's precisely how Matt feels as well, as he rolled them over onto their sides and tugged the covers down so that they were at their waist; however, they didn't stay on their sides for long as Matt soon decided to roll over even more to lay Alex down on her back so that he could do something. So that he could lean over her, while also smiling at her and placing his hand on her neck; an action that Alex really liked as it allowed her to do something.

It allowed her to look right up into her loving husband's eyes this morning, or should we say mid-day. After all, it's already noon here, which really surprises her; yet, it also makes her hungry. And that's even more the case considering she's pregnant with their child. God, she's pregnant with their little baby; the baby that she conceived with the man who just started to kiss her with those soft lips of his as he leaned over her. Meanwhile, she put her hand on his face and just smiled as she took things nice and slow with her incredible husband until he pulled away; after which, he bent down and went to kiss her neck as a way to please her. While at the same time, he asked her a question related to their little baby. "How far along are you, you think?" Moving her hand to the side of Matt's face, Alex smiled as she turned his head and looked up into his beautiful eyes. "Six weeks." Smiling, Matt put his hand on Alex's neck and bent down to kiss her once more, while also doing the calculations in his head as to when Alex might give birth to their child. "So, that means we're thinking late July?" After hearing Matt say that, Alex groaned due to the fact that she didn't like the sound of that.

Something that Matt clearly picked up on but didn't know why she wasn't happy that he just mentioned that. "Ok. What did I say wrong?" Alex sighed as she put her hand on Matt's face once more, before stroking his cheek as she leaned her forehead against his. "Nothing's wrong, it just means that I'm going to be heavily pregnant when we're in the middle of the heat in Florida." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before deciding to flirt with her as a way to try and make her feel better. "Technically, the state doesn't matter; because it's always hot where you go." Alex snickered as she heard Matt say that, while leaning in and kissing the man she loves softly. "Already breaking out the dad jokes." Matt smiled as he laid down next to Alex some more, while also pushing a strand of hair behind her ear and leaning his forehead against hers. "I mean, I am going to be a dad." Alex smiled as she heard her husband say that, while also placing her hand on his face as they both leaned their foreheads against one another's. "Correction, you're going to be the best dad in the entire world." Smiling, Matt just held the woman he loves close to him here in the comfort of their bed.

The bed where they plan on spending a lot of time in over the next year. "What gender?" Alex smiled as she looked into Matt's eyes, but decided to pus him onto his side once more as that was how she wanted him to be laying down prior to her answering his question; she wanted him to be laying down on his side so that she could cuddle up to him, which is precisely what she did the moment she got a chance to do so. She got close to her husband and the father of her child, before wrapping her arms around him and smiling as they both held each other close. "I want you to tell me first." Matt laughed, as he knew that they weren't going to get anywhere if this is how they do it. "At the same time?" Alex nodded, before counting down. "3…2..1…" After which, she and Matt both said the same gender, at the same time. "Boy." And let's just say that Alex was shocked. "What? You want a boy first? Normally, the dad always wants a girl first." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as that most certainly is the truth; under normal circumstances, he's positive that he would've said girl first. I mean, what daddy doesn't want to have a daddy's little girl?

But he's different, based on the situation that he finds himself in. "Yeah, not me." Alex was still quite surprised at that answer, so she decided to try and get some more details. "Why's that Mr. Casey?" Matt smiled as he heard Alex call him Mr. Casey, before deciding to use her marital name before answering her question. "Well, Ms. Casey, the reason why I want to have a son first is due to the fact that I'm the last Mr. Casey." Thinking about it, Alex soon realized that and was shocked. "Holy shit." Matt nodded. "Christie had a daughter, and I don't see her and Jim having another kid; not that they would even use the Casey name." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, while also feeling him put his hand on her side (very close to her stomach where their child is growing). "So, I'd rather having this little one here be a boy so that we can guarantee that the Casey name lives on another generation or two; or, we just know that we need to try again. And if it is a boy, then we can start trying to have our princesses." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, until she realized that her husband said 'princesses' PLURAL; as in, multiple daughters. "Woah, who said anything about multiple girls?"

Matt looked at Alex as she said that. "How many kids are you thinking?" Alex bit her lip. "I was thinking 2, maybe 3." Matt agreed. "Oh, I was thinking 3, maybe 4. 2 boys, 2 girls so that they always have a friend to play with." Alex agreed with Matt, before starting to get a bit worried as she sat up. "I think I'm going to go take a bath." However, that reaction was not what Matt was expecting; if anything, it just alarmed Matt rather than calmed him down. "Hey, what's wrong honey? Talk to me." Taking a breath, Alex turned her head and looked at Matt as she was a bit worried as she sat him sit up. "Come here, get back in bed and talk to me Alex. I'm here for you." Alex took a breath, agreeing with Matt as she climbed back into bed with the man she loves; after which, she got close to him as a way to make sure that she just took it easy and relaxed with the man of her dreams. The man she loves and wants to spend time with right now, just like Matt when he comes to the woman of his dreams. And now that she was in bed with him once more, he made sure to bring Alex close to him and wrap his arm around her as a way to ensure that she doesn't leave him anytime soon.

Cuddling up to each other once more the moment they were back in bed with each other, Alex just looked down and put her hand on Matt's face. "Sorry I tried to run." Matt agreed with his wife. "I know you are, but you can't do that now that we're married." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that. "Listen, I obviously scared you when I told you that I want to have 3 or 4 kids." Alex agreed with Matt once more, as that most certainly is what she did. "Yeah, you did. I mean, that was worrying. Why do you want so many?" Matt shrugged. "I guess, just to make sure that our children always have friends. I don't just want to have two if they are different genders, I want to at least try and have some of the same gender. That's why I said 2 boys and 2 girls." Alex thought about it, before agreeing with Matt as it makes sense. "And it might also be so that I can hopefully have two that follow in my shoes at the family company." Pushing her husband to the side, Alex shook her head as that was the last thing that she wanted to hear. "Really?" Matt laughed. "I'm kidding." Alex just gave her husband a bit of side-eye when he said that as she knew that he wasn't kidding. "Fine!"

Alex just laughed as she heard Matt say that, while putting her hand on his face and leaning in to kiss him softly. "Thank you, even though I already knew that you were lying." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, while also running his hand up and down her side. "Sorry about that, but I do want to have multiple children. I don't just want to have two and have them feel like they have their lives set as they're going to inherit like $1.3 Billion in shares each." Alex was shocked. "What?" Matt nodded. "And if the company keeps growing, that could go up to $2.3-2.8 billion by the time they inherit." Alex was surprised. "I mean, not that they have access to that money. Most of it is locked in stock and I put it in buildings and stuff. And things might go down the drain, but I just…I don't want to have too much. I mean, we literally just built a place in downtown LA where the penthouse alone went for $29.5 million. And we get 50% of that, so $14.75 million on a single condo. Imagine how fast this is going to grow in the future as the market heats up. I mean, I am looking to get into places like we live in next. I have Andy trying to work it out and built his first one." Alex agreed with Matt.

After which, he told her what he's going to do. "And I have a surprise for him, which is that he's going to get to live in it. He can build it his way, and then I'm going to give it to him. His family lives is downtown Chicago right now in a 3-bed, 2-bath duplex with no backyard basically. He deserves a real home where he can have an easy life." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that. "Didn't he use to be a firefighter?" Matt agreed. "The both of us were. I quit in 2007 when the former CEO was in failing health and I moved from part-time college to full-time. I finished my degree in 2010 and took over. Since then, things have gotten way better since I took over. Turns out that he was not the best guy to work for." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, while grabbing his hand and smiling as she admired just how great of a man she is. After which, she leaned in and kissed her husband softly, while also moving her hand to his face and taking things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. The man she's so glad is now her husband. "Can you get me my underwear? I at least want to get dressed." Matt smirked. "I thought you wanted to take a bath with me." Alex smiled.

After all, that most certainly is something that she wants to do with the man of her dreams. She wants to take a bath with him, but after they take a walk with the dogs. "Maybe we walk the dogs first? That way, we're done getting sweaty?" Matt agreed as he put his hand on the side of her face and kissed her quickly, after which he got up and went to go find his boxers and her underwear so that they could get dressed. "Tease much." Turning his head as he sat down on the edge of their bed, Matt smirked as he could say the same thing about his beautiful wife. "I can say the same about you beautiful as you just lay there in bed, looking all sexy as your naked in bed." Grabbing his boxers, Matt smirked as he put them up and then tugged them up over his package for his while; after which, he grabbed her underwear and proceeded to throw them over to his wife. Catching them, Alex smirked as she knew that her husband was turned on the moment she did that. "You like that?" Matt agreed, smiling at his gorgeous wife. "Want me to get us some clothes?" Alex laughed. "You pick out your clothes, I'll pick out mine." Matt agreed with his wife, before turning around and walking away.

Alex's POV:
As I watched Matt walk away to go get himself some clothes, I couldn't help but think about just how much my life has changed over the past week. I reunited with the man I love, as we started our forever with each other; we got married to each other in front of the justice of the peace, cementing the fact that we're forever for eternity; and I learned that I'm pregnant with our first child, a baby that was created out of our love for each other. True love that created a real baby, rather than the fake baby that his ex wanted to pass off to keep him. But now, we're together and that's all that matters; we're here, in Florida were we're going to start this amazing life with each other. And someday, it will include a beautiful baby; the one that I'm already pregnant with, and whom I'm hoping is a boy. As much as I would love a girl to play dress up with, I like the idea of getting a boy first so that we can carry on the Casey name, but just in a couple months rather than right now. Right now, I want to have fun with my husband, which is what we're going to do on our honeymoon. God, our honeymoon; that's still something that I love saying more than anything. Especially when he looks so sexy.

And not just in tight boxers, but in a tight wetsuit; one that he hopefully plans on putting on since he just carried it out of the closet. "Hey, I was just thinking. Didn't we say that we'd go to the beach after so I can get some surf in?" I smiled when Matt asked me that question, as that most certainly was something that we said we'd do. "Is that what you want to do?" Matt bit his lip. "I mean, only if you want to." Walking over to my husband while just wearing my underwear, I smiled as I put my hands on Matt's face and then kissed him softly. "Let's do it. I want to work on my tan anyways." Matt agreed with me, smirking as he wrapped his arms around me as we both got close to each other. "I love the sound of that, just remember to stay hydrated." I agreed with Matt. "How about you grab me a bikini that you want me to wear? Then, I can pout it on while you go get your surfboard out of storage." Matt agreed with me, smirking as he leaned in and kissed me softly. "I'll bring my swim trunks too as I want to have fun with you too." I smirked and agreed with my husband as he told me that, smiling as he walked away so that he could get everything he needs, while I went to find my bikini.

The bikini that I plan on wearing for my husband, which I already know is going to tease him because of how little it is.

He was currently standing at the end of his and Alex's bed, wearing his wetsuit (and some boxers) around his waist while packing their beach bag; the bag of essential things that they need to bring whenever to go to the beach, which most certainly does include water now that his wife is pregnant. And it also needs to include sunscreen, sunscreen that Matt plans on putting on his wife's body; he just hopes that she isn't already doing that in the washroom, as he believes that was why she was taking so long. So, he decided to go in there to make sure that she wasn't doing his job for her. "Hey, you okay in there Alex? You're taking quite a long time." Matt agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know, I'm almost done." Getting a bit suspicious, Matt decided that he was going to walk into the bathroom just to make sure that she wasn't doing his job for him; only to see that Alex was struggling with the little bikini that she was wearing for him. "Oh, wow." Looking up at her husband in the mirror, Alex blushed. "Stop it." Matt shook his head as he made his way over to Alex as he most certainly was not going to stop complimenting his beautiful wife.

Not when she looks this sexy as she wears a hot bikini for him. "Oh no, that's never going to happen when you wear something this sexy." Turning around, Alex blushed as she looked at the man she loves; while he made his way over to her and just smirked at the fact that his wife looks incredibly, which is precisely why he's in here in the first place. To make sure that his wife knows just how incredibly sexy she is, something that he has a feeling she's not exactly feeling right now due to the fact that. She's currently pregnant with their first child. But regardless of that, his wife looks absolutely sexy; and he was going to make sure that his wife knew that as he made his way into their bathroom and stared at her body. "Wow. Just…wow." Alex blushed as she heard Matt say that, as she didn't exactly believe her husband as he told her that she looks as good as he's telling her. "Oh, stop it." Matt shook his head, as that was the last thing that he was going to do when it comes to telling his wife that she looks beautiful. "Never." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling at him; while he got close to the woman he loves and put his hands on her hips as they both held each other close here in their bathroom.

Only for Alex's husband to lean in and kiss her softly, while also placing his hand on the side of her face; that way, he could take things nice and slow with her as a way to make sure that she knew just how sexy he thinks she is. Both before she was pregnant, and now that she is pregnant; because that's the only way that he can describe his wife, a sexy woman whom he loves. "Damn." Alex looked at Matt as he said that, while also placing her hands on his chest. "Really?" Matt nodded as he leaned back and looked at his gorgeous wife. "Would I ever lie to you?" Alex looked at Matt. "I'm pregnant." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, while getting close to her and smiling as he moved his hands to her neck. After which, he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves softly. "And that's precisely why you're beautiful, because you're pregnant with our baby." Alex smiled. "Or babies." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "You haven't found out yet whether we're having one baby or twins?" Alex agreed with Matt. "That's another thing that's scaring me." Matt smiled as he put his hand on the side of her face, while also acknowledging the fact that it was scary, the idea of twins.

Yet, at the same time, it may also be a really nice thing for them to have twins. "I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to twins." Alex agreed with Matt. "And what about work?" Stepping close to Alex, Matt put his hands on her hips and then wrapped his arms around her. After all, the last thing he wants his wife to worry about his work. "Hey, you know me. You know that I've always wanted to be a dad. I am not going to do anything that will put that on the backburner. My jobs, in order of importance right now are being your husband, being a great future dad to our baby, and being a businessman; and when the baby is born, it's going to be being your husband, being a great daddy to our child, and then being a businessman. Believe me, work comes last when it comes to us and our family. Forever babe." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, while also leaning in and kissing the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; she then started to take things nice and slow with him and just smiled due to the fact that this is absolutely perfect. There's nothing better than the feeling of the two of them holding each other close, nor will there ever be anything better than this.

And that's something that Alex should've known from the start, and regrets not having known already; the fact that she even needed to ask Matt this just makes her feel really stupid right now. "God, I feel so stupid for even asking you that." Placing his hand on the side of his wife's face, Matt shook his head as he stroke her cheek and watched as a tear fell down her cheek. "Hey, you aren't stupid. You're human. You worry about things and that's okay. Everything is okay babe due to the fact that we're both here. And I'm always going to be here for you because it's where I want to be. I want to be here with you and our child. The child that we're both going to love from the moment they're born. That's something I can already promise you." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she could just hear it in his voice; the sincerity and reality that this is going to be their future. "We're going to be parents." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling at her. "The best parents." Alex then took a breath. "Now, we just need to figure out where." Matt nodded as he got close to her and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Do you really want to go to the beach?" Alex sighed.

After all, she wasn't sure anymore. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to go to the beach, or whether she needed to talk to her husband; then again, they can always talk later when they're home. "We can always talk later." Matt agreed with Alex, but he didn't want to do that if she felt like she needed to talk to him now. "Hey, look at me. If you feel like you need to talk to me now, then we will. I mean, we just have to walk the dogs. If you want to just want the dogs around the block and not go to the beach, then I'll understand, and we can do that. I can put my clothes on and do that if you want, or we can go to the beach." Alex smiled. "I want to go to the beach because it's what you need babe. You need to get a break from your busy life." Matt agreed with Alex as he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers. "And you're sure that you're okay with that? I don't want you to tell me that when it's not the truth. I want you to want to go to the beach because you honestly want to go to the beach." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling at her man. "I want to go to the beach, as it means that I get to see my man get wet in his wetsuit; make that bulge pop out for me."

Matt laughed, as he knew that was going to happen when he goes surfing. "Do you want to bring the dogs, or are we leaving them here? I mean, it might be hard with dogs too." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Maybe mommy and daddy have a date for now." Matt smiled as he heard Alex say that, absolutely loving how she just said, 'mommy and daddy'. "God, I love the sound of those words. Mommy and daddy." Alex agreed with Matt as she stepped close to him and put her hands on his muscular chest. After which, she leaned in and smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "Can you go pack the cooler for me? I'll be right down." Matt agreed with Alex as she asked him that, before walking away so that he can go pack the cooler for her with a bunch of water. Water that will keep the woman he loves nice and cool as she relaxes on the beach, while he surfs some waves and just has some fun as he starts their honeymoon with some fun in the ocean.

Matt's POV:
God, our honeymoon. Something that I never thought I'd get to have with Alex, and the vacation which I already know I'll never forget because of the news that I just got from her. God, I'm going to be a father and I still can't believe that's the truth. I'm going to be a dad, which is something that I've always wanted to be. I've always wanted to hold a little baby in my arms, knowing that one day they would call me dad. Knowing that they would learn from me and (maybe) follow in my footsteps as the CEO of the family company, something that I did like my father before me; but if there's one thing that will set me apart from my father, it's the way that I intend to treat my children. I plan on treating my children with the love and respect that they always deserve to receive from their father, something that I was never blessed with getting from my father; no, he instead abused me and made me feel like shit. But if I plan on doing anything, it's being the exact opposite of my father. I mean sure, I cheated on Hallie with Alex; but that's the only way that I plan on being like my father. Unlike him, I'm going to be a real father; a father who loves his children and doesn't abuse them.

Who doesn't treat them (or their wives) like their pieces of shit, only to abuse and sexually assault them while they're drunk; not that I drink much anyways due to the effect that my father had on my life. I refuse to drink too much, as I don't want to risk being anything like him. And the truth is, I don't even think that I'm like him when it comes to the situation that I find myself in with Alex; after I cheated on Hallie with her. Things are so much different, especially since Hallie lied to me and abused me; if anything, I was a victim just like my mother in that relationship. I know, not the best comparison due to the fact that (1) I'm a man, and (2) it was emotional abuse rather than sexual/physical abuse; but abuse is abuse and I most certainly was abused emotionally in my relationship with Hallie, especially when it came to the topic of children. I now know for a fact that she never wanted to have a baby, but Alex does; and that's why I am just so damn thrilled that we're having a baby with each other. We're having a baby that we can love forever. A baby who will be loved by their parents from the moment they're born and will be loved for the rest of their lives; not abused at all.

And I plan on holding myself to account when it comes to that promise I'm already making to me and Alex's baby, as I do not want to slip; especially not when my wife is pregnant with our baby. God, my wife is pregnant with our baby. That's a phrase that I never imagined I'd ever be able to say, nor did I ever think I'd be able to say it so soon into our marriage. But now, that's precisely what I have a chance to do. I have the opportunity to say that my gorgeous wife is pregnant with our child this soon into our marriage, and it truly makes me feel like the luckiest man in the entire world. I'm a lucky man because of who I married, and just who I plan on loving for the rest of my lives; however, the same can't be said when it comes to my wife not already having some problems in her pregnancy. What type of problems might you ask? Well, that would be the thing that usually starts at around this time in a pregnancy (at least, according to my sister). And that would be morning sickness. "Matt…" Hearing Alex say that, I got worried. "Get the wet wipes for me, I made a mess." Sighing as I heard Alex say that, I could already tell what happened. She just had morning sickness in the bathroom.
