My pov

After Alan helps me with learning how to fight, I think that maybe I do like him. He is kind and gentle. Even he seems cold blooded for other people but he isn't cold blooded for me.

Afternoon, we are going to learn how to shoot a gun . I stand between Elizabeth and Jessica . Abby is standing near Amar . She and Amar were flirting for a long time at night.

"So now we are going to learn how to shoot a gun." Ted presses a gun in my hand .

Ted takes his gun from his belt. He stands in front of the target. His legs are shoulder width . She closes one hand and aiming at the target. When he fires the bullets, his body is steady. The bullets hit the centre of the target.

"See it ?" He asks. "Now practice it yourself."

I take the gun. I learn how to stand from him. I spread my legs and aiming with only one hand . I get to aim as accurate as possible but the gun is so heavy. I pull the trigger . The recoil send me back.

I fall . I look back . Anar and ted are standing there talking.

"Are you okay?" Ted walks toward me when he sees me falls on the ground

"I am fine . I don't need help" I stand up.

I try to shoot again. This time I am more determined . I point the gun at the target. My legs are planted heavier on the ground . I pull the trigger and this time I am ready for the recoil.

The recoil comes but I don't fall on the ground . My bullets hit the centre of the target.

"Good job." Jack gives me a winks

"Thank you ." I smile at him . Maybe I do belong here .

I hear footstep. I look back and Alan is here. He is exhausted and tired .

"Good job Delia." Alan claps his hand for me

"Are you okay? You look so tired." I am worried about him

"Don't worry about me please ." Alan shakes his head. "I am better than you think."

After the training, Alan grabs my arm. He stops for a second

"Delia you do belong here and I trust you. You can ask anyone that I never say this to anyone ever before . I say this to you because I really trust you ." He grabs my hand. "Just hold on to it. It will finish soon."

"Okay thank you mr Davis . I will do as you wish." I nod at him. "I will not let you down."

"Call me Alan ." Alan shakes his head

Alan Davis pov

I don't want her to call me mr Davis because that will have a wedge between us . I walk her to cafeteria in order to prevent from ted going after her again.

"However in front of other I have to call you that." Delia shrugs. "I don't want them to think bad things about you."

"Well I don't care ." I shake my head. "So it's okay for you to call that everywhere ."

"I don't think that is a right choice." She smiles at me

We walk into cafeteria . She sits down with her friends

"I will see you tomorrow . You guys will have to fight each other ." I pat her back. "Good luck."

I turn around and walk upstair to eat with the leaders

"Oh you and Delia are ……." Amar raises his eye brow

"You and Abby were even more obvious Amar . Don't think that is a good choice ." I roll my eyes . "People will be jealous of her ."

"How do you know?" Max asks

I don't know that max knows about ted's instructor

"Do you remembered ted's instructor?" I wink

"Yeah I know Alexander ." Max nods at me. "He jumps himself."

Everyone believe this result because they don't want to dig deeper

"However that is not the truth. He was killed by someone." I scoff. "He was in love with one of the female leader who is now Factionless . Especially that was when he was still the initiates." I shake my head

"Do you have any evidences?" Sam scoffs

"I am still finding it but I already have some." I rub my nose

Max stops eating. I know what exactly killed Alexander . He was divergent as I suspect .

"Someone who want divergent to die killed him also ." I smirk. " we all know who they are."

"Divergent?" Hana frowns. "His footage are deleted so no one can see it."

"Yeah we only can see how long did he go over it."

I know that is the point . Erudite made them so they have a way.

"Erudite can still see them. So max don't let any erudite look at our system." I am impatient.

I say this because Delia is divergent and I can't risk it.

"However divergent are dangerous." Sam shrugs

"I don't think so . Most of people from abnegation and Candor receive the result. So can you tell all of them are dangerous?" I wander

"They are not normal people ."

My pov

I wait for the second day to come . It come very fast. I wake up very early. I dress up as nicely as possible. I wear a tank top which expose my billy button . I wear a black short.

Recently I get another tattoo on my legs. I have two tattoos already. I don't look like abnegation but more like dauntless. I will stay here and I have to .

Alan believe me and I have to believe myself as well. I sneak out of the room. I hear punching voice .

I look over the chasm. Alan is punching the punching bag. He is working so hard even he is already a leader . I go to the cafeteria and grab two muffin. I run downstair .

"Alan." I call him

"Yes Delia! So early." He stops punching the bag.

"Here is the muffin. You have to eat something ." I give him the muffin

He takes it. He shakes his head . He doesn't want to eat it.

"I don't usually have breakfast." Alan shrugs

"You have to. It is a bad habit." I roll my eyes

He bites the muffin . I bite mine . We sit on the stair

"I don't know why are they saying bad things about you." I shake my head. "They don't know you."

"What did they say?" Alan giggles

"They said that you can kill someone like killing an animal." I say

Alan is silent for a second . Maybe he was that kind of person but who care?

"I used to be that kind of person. However now I want to change." Alan brushes my hair. "Because I meet you."

He leans into me . His lips are on mine . He wraps me into his arms.

The muffin drops and I close my eyes. I love him.

"Alan." Someone is calling us

Ted is standing there still. I stand up and wipe my hand on my slack

"What did you do?" Ted runs toward Alan

I stand in front of him. Ted fist instead meets Alan's face , it meets mine.

"Delia!" Alan screams

"I am fine Alan." I shake my head

Everyone come in so we separate . Abby finds that I am injured

"Delia , who did that?" Abby touches my cheek

"I hit on the wall." I lie

"Really?" Elizabeth looks at ted

She is Candor so she can detect lie . I look at her . I wish that she can trust me .

"So today we are going to start fighting."

Ted taps the screen in his hand . The board on the wall lighten up. The name beside Abby is blank and I am with four .

Alan Davis pov

I just kiss Delia. She doesn't reject. She also likes me right? I don't know . However she just protected me . I feel so bad now . I stand beside ted

"I will ask max to remove you from premises ." I warn him. "You hurt her."

"I want to kill you but Delia is so kind." Ted says coldly.

"I will do what I just said ." I say

Now Delia is going against four . Four is also from abnegation but he is good. Four and Delia shuffles at each other

"Don't play with each other." Amar is impatient.

Four punches Delia but Delia dodges . I sigh with relief

"Good job." I clap my hand and I do mean it.

Delia kicks four in his gut . Four is only protecting his upper body so Delia found a spot.

Four screams and fall. Delia kicks him again and again. Four gets up and yank her toward . Delia pushes him away and I clinch my fist . How dare is he hurting my girl.

She isn't my girl yet. We just kiss but don't mean we are together . Delia wins and I gladly circle her name .

"She is good." Sam wraps his arms around me .

"She is always good." Nathan nods at me

Nathan and Sam are off work now . I am sleepy. I wish that everything can be done faster

Next few groups are not what I care . William against Jason and William wins . Elizabeth and Maria , Elizabeth wins in a minute.

"You don't really care about the rest of the fighting." Amar taps his feet on the ground . "You only care about her."

"Right we all have seen it alan. You broke your promise." Sam rolls his eyes. "However that is understandable ."

"Why?" Ted is angry.

I exhale and inhale heavily. I am ready to fight for her

"I am not that kind of person to let my prey get away from me ." I smirk

"She is not your prey." Ted screams

Everyone then look at ted . Ted acts casual again.

"Focus on the fighting ." Ted says coldly.

After the fight, we dismiss them. Delia sighs with relief

"I did this Alan." She hugs me .

"You did it. I know you can do it." I nudge my forehead with her.

"Alan what's wrong! Why are you so pale ." She touches my cheek

I don't know is this the good time to be with her ? What about ted's instructor .

"Come to meet me in my office tonight Delia . I have something to tell you ." I leave her alone
