A/N: Chapter one! Still short. Chapter 2 will be much longer. That is all.

Chapter 1
With an almost delicate puff of blue light, and, in reality, was a deadly blast of radiation, the Gunship reentered Real Space. Right outside the Remnant system's asteroid field.
As she floated there, Samus tried to call the Outpost, but there was no answer. She tried again, but the answer was the same. After attempting to raise the local Outpost for a moment more, she deftly switched control of the Gunship's from the A.I.'s to manual as she rocketed into the asteroid field.
She flew in and around the various floating rocks quickly before finding herself in the aftermath of a naval battle past the inner edges of the asteroid field. She briefly paused at that before slowing down again on the controls to coast in at a slower rate, her weapons armed.
She noted three, no five Federation vessels drifting amidst the debris of floating, twisted metal. Two destroyers and three frigates. A rather large component to a single planet defenses.
Her eye twitched at that. The Federation liked hiding its secrets a bit too much for her tastes these days.
As she got closer she could indeed pick out the dead hulks of several Pirate corvettes and dozen of dead or destroyed fighters and drop pods from both sides. Her scans picked up zero life signs from any of them.
She continued to fly forwards, towards the planet beyond. A beautiful blue and green pearl across a backdrop of darkness, she noted. One that was habitable.
As she got closer she noticed more signs of life. A few satellites, and another couple of blown out wrecks, Pirates, and a space station.
A Federation one.
It's lights were dead. And no one seemed to be onboard responded to her inquiries.
She moved in towards it, letting the automatic systems take over as she readied her equipment for a Space Walk. She continued to try and raise anyone from the planet as she did so, on all channels. But, still, no answer.
She was starting to get a bad feeling about this.
It was reminding her too much of Talon IV. And Aether, for that matter.
She didn't like this.
She exited her ship as it landed on an outer docking bay. She checked her surroundings. There was no activity. The station seemed fine on the outside. She saw no signs of Pirate activity, nor that of the Federation.
The station seemed dead.
That seemed strange. This was obviously a viable world for colonization. So, why wasn't there more of a civilian presence? Where was the staff for the station? And, why was there no sign of Pirates?
She endeavored to find out, but if she found nothing else she was going to contact Command with what she had discovered so far and await further orders.
Samus cycled open the airlock and went into the space station.
A/N: Not much to say down here, other than I hoped you like it so far, even though it has been quite short. Again, sorry for that guys. I will be sure to make the chapter longer, and I tell you now it be the first to have a bit of RWBY content in it.
Essiter out!
