On the edge of a vast green forest stood a blond woman, all by her lonesome. She didn't look like she fit at all with the environment around her. Above her was a wooden sign with a "Welcome Campers" sign on it.
The trees were all pink, looking like cherry blossoms. The further the forest went, the more mountainous the location seemed to be.
"Hello viewers, this is Blainley coming to you live from northern Japan for the hottest new reality tv show! You've likely heard of me from plenty of media, not least of which being Celebrity Manhunt.
She fixed up her hair. "If you haven't heard of what you're about to experience, the show's called TOTAL DRAMA. On this show, eighteen contestants will be coming here by bus, and will have to survive our… less than acceptable for a well developed country"
The camera cut to disgusting toilets, and an even nastier cafeteria nearby "Naturally I won't be sharing those… nasty conditions with them. I have my own mansion a few miles closer to civilization." she smiled "It's big enough to house the rest of them… but I don't really want to share my summer home with them"
"But, I'm sure you have a few questions now" she walked closer to the road "Why Japan? And where are all our contestants?"
Blainley looked down the road, trying to look for something "Anime is one of the most popular things out at the moment. I don't remotely pretend to know what anime is or how it is but the producers said I could create this show if it was placed in Japan. But don't worry, none of our actual challenges will be related to that"
She smirked at the camera "But you'll have to wait and see about our contestants in the very first episode of Total. Drama. Legends!"
Intro plays
"Dear mom and dad I'm doin' fine" At the front of the Japanese island, Blainley and Shion were standing next to each other, with them both trying to push the other off screen. Sugar was standing behind them, trying to bring the dazzle and steal the attention from the hosts. While Blainely was enjoying the camera's attention Jake suddenly popped up, before writing something down in his notes.
"You guys are on my Mind" the camera flew to the middle of a large lake in the middle of the island. on the water Rhonda and Justin were sitting on a small boat together. It was so small they were stuck leaning against each other.
"You asked me what I wanted to be" Rhonda smirked confidently at him as she leaned towards him, however, the model looked uncomfortable as they both tipped over the side as some bubbles slowly surfaced. Jackson popped his head out of the water before discretely swimming away.
"I wanna be famous" on the nearby beach Vernon was quietly writing music down on a small notebook. He smiled as he seemingly finished before a bald eagle flew down and swooped the note from his hands.
"I wanna live close to the sun" the bald eagle flew through the forest with its catch. On the ground Nick smiled to himself before writing that down in a bird watching book.
"Go pack your bags because I've already won!" Lightning was running through the forest with a confident smirk on his face as he tried outpacing Wyonetta who was running right next to him with just as confident a smirk.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way," the duo sprinted past Char, Jasmine, and Donna sitting together on some fallen trees while eating a small snack on their nature trek.
"I'll get there one day" on the other side of the island Anne Maria was lying down on the sand to get a good tan. As Maria enjoyed the sun, Rayna suddenly popped in next to her to enjoy the tan together while winking.
"Cause I wanna be famous!" On the other side of the beach, Sadie was sitting on some stone steps while fawning over Capone. Willow sat behind her, and looked totally out of place and confused about the fawning.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!" On the dock Blainley was on earlier, Peter was snapping pictures of where she stood, taking pictures of her footmarks in the sand before sighing miserably.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous. I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous" All of the contestants were sitting together, with Anais and Jake sitting across from each other. The shorter girl leaned in with Jake, only to kiss him on the cheek. Jake smiled to himself, before immediately turning away from her to write in his notes again as all of the contestants slowly whistled.
Intro Ends
A decent distance away from the campsite, a small cargo plane was flying its way to her. It looked like it was barely big enough to house the eighteen people inside but everyone still had enough room to move around.
The most notable of these contestants was a particularly chubby kid. He didn't look to even be the largest contestant here, but his short height and weight wasn't doing him any favors.
He had medium brown hair that was gelled into being spiked. He had a pretty clear farmer's tan, as some of his skin, like his stomach, was clearly very pale. He was wearing a dark red polo shirt with the buttons unbuttoned and the color popped up like how a frat boy would have his. It was a bit too small on him, revealing more skin than anyone wanted. He was also wearing tight cargo pants and green crocs.
In his hands was a notebook where he was writing everything he could down. Jake had a small smile on his face looking at his list of firsts he needed to do. Right now, he was constantly running between the cameras to make sure he was the first one shown on television.
"Dude, do you have to keep running around? Your fat sweat is starting to poison the air" Someone sitting on the floor glared at his constant running.
This woman was Wyonetta, she was wearing a purple sports jersey with the number 09 on its front and back. Wyo was also sporting black yoga pants, which looked more than nice on her.
The chubby boy leaned down to put a finger on Wyo's mouth, "Shhhhhhhhhhhh" he hissed "I have to be the first voice the cameras pick up on. So please try to be a bit quieter, thank you"
Wyonetta's glare only became angier as she grabbed his finger and bent it backward "Listen here, I'm taking a threat from someone like you! So how about you leave me alone before I throw you out of this plane?"
Jake pulled his hand away from her "Oh, being the first to land would be good! Do you think they have any parachutes around here? Ooo! First person to ask for advice too, I'm on a roll!"
The jockette rubbed the bridge of her nose before getting up "I'm just… not gonna deal with this" she decided as she started walking away, but almost immediately Jake continued to follow behind her.
"Maybe we could even be the first alliance on this show!" he suggested as they started walking off screen.
"Not in a million years!"
The camera focused on a table in this plane, seating three people who weren't really talking to each other or anyone else. The, well, most notable of the three was a massive woman, towering over most of the contestants save one exception. But more important than her height, she was pretty large horizontally as well.
She wore a vibrant fuchsia and gray striped zip-up hoodie over an eggplant purple t-shirt, a black skirt over some black leggings, an eggplant purple beanie, and black converse. Her skin was rather pale, similar to Jake. Rhonda was also a brunette, with brown hair that went past her shoulders and curved at the end.
To her right was another girl, who was much shorter, but also much thinner. She had black hair done up in a ponytail, with the ends dyed red. Rayna wore a red long-sleeve jacket over a blue shirt with a pink heart on both. She also wears a blue skirt and red shoes.
Neither Rhonda nor Rayna were actually looking at each other or the third girl at their table, instead, they angled themselves to have a good look at some of the guys and girls around.
"Man, that tan girl is pretty attractive…" the shorter girl smiled as she watched another woman spraying herself with a fake tan.
"She's ok" Rhonda scoffed "But there's a lot more to enjoy than that" she smirked as she looked down at a guy's ass as he did a planking workout.
Rayna glanced at her and smiled a bit "I'd totally ship you and him"
"Ship?" Rhonda looked at her, raising a curious eyebrow.
"Of course, shipping is when you want two people to get together in a relationship. Like, online you'd ship your favorite anime characters together for stuff like yaoi" Rayna tried to explain, causing the big woman to snort.
"I don't need shipping, I have spunk. I can go and walk up to him, and he'll be wanting a slice of Rhonda in seconds" she smirked.
Rayna silently looked at her "I… think you might work better in an ugly bastard ship" she murmured.
"What was that!?" Rhonda raised her fist to her face, immediately intimidating the shorter girl.
"N-n-nothing!" she held up her hands to protect her face "You can get shipped with anyone you want I'm sure"
"Are you two going to keep running your lips about guys and throwing fists? I feel like you two should be keeping more attention on the monetary gains, but at the same time I won't complain about lasting longer than you both" the third girl at the table finally lowered her book slightly.
The girl was even shorter than the two of them, standing barely below 5ft tall. Even if you ignore her height she still looked like a small child. Anais wore an orange t-shirt with white horizontal stripes, a pair of beige shorts, white socks, and white sneakers. Her face was littered in freckles and had her dark brown hair up in a ponytail.
"What's it to you nerd?" Rhonda crossed her arm.
Rayna also looked at her "Sorry, uh, young girl. But I don't think I'll be able to get you a ship. Loli ships have never really been my thing… for obvious reasons"
Anais, the shortie, glared at them "I'll have you know I'm just as old as the two of you. Granted, mentally I might be considered ancient."
Rhonda cackled "Nice try kid, I know you just grew out of using diapers. But how about you leave the adults to talk about important things? Like boys"
The bookworm rubbed her temple "You know what? Sure, that sounds more than fine. I'd be happy to move to a more secure location"
She got up and started walking away. Taking a seat on the ground in the opposite corner.
Both of the perverse girls went right back to watching the African American contestant workout. He was now performing jumpingjacks to keep his blood flowing.
This contestant, Lightning, had short black hair and a lightning necklace around his neck. He was one of the most physically fit, with bulging biceps and calves. Lightning was wearing a blue sports jersey with '1' on it, as well as shorts and sneakers.
"The Lightining needs to keep the grind sha-on!" he declared before liftining Anais to use her as a weight. The bookworm didn't say anything however, just crossing her arms in annoyance.
"You're really going at it aren't you?" to his side a rather attractive man was sitting on a spare cargo box.
This man had his brown hair sweeped back and looked muscular, but not to Lightning's level. He wore a blue shirt, black sweatpants, a golden watch, and black running shoes. Something else of note was that he had a tattoo of a bear on his left arm.
"Who are you little guy?" Lightning dropped Anais on the floor before turning to him.
"I'm Capone" he smirked a bit "I wouldn't call me little guy, but I guess compared to you I might be a bit small"
"That's sha-right, no one can compare to the Lightning!" He kissed both of his biceps.
Capone tried to keep from rolling his eyes as he smiled "How about a bit of a competition? We can arm wrestle and see if I really am the little man here"
Lightning lit up at the suggestion "Oh, you're sha-on!"
"I think we could use a referee to make sure neither of us tries to cheat. Sound fair?"
"Sure, but know Lightning would never cheat! Cheating is for losers, and Lightning aint a loser!"
The bodybuilder shrugged "Sure, that sounds fine" he examined the other contestants, with his eyes eventually setting on a girl sitting all by her lonesome, and looked totally miserable.
The girl was of a similar shape to Rhonda, being on the chubby side of things. Her attire was rather confident however. She was wearing a black tank top with white horizontal stripes and pink short shorts. This woman's shorter black hair was done up in two pigtails as well.
"Hey, you wanna be our judge?" Capone called her out. The woman raised her head, looking around before pointing at herself. "Yes, I mean you cutie pie" he smirked.
Sadie's expression immediately lit up as she let out an unbearable "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
"Woah, are you actually flirting with piggy over there?" Lightning sounded confused.
Capone simply shrugged "She's pretty cute, how bad could she take one comment? Besides, she would've fallen for this face one way or another" he smirked.
"Whatever, let's just do this!" Lightning took a seat, moving a table between them. Capone sat down on the opposite side of the table. Both boys put their hands together before the excited Sadie put her hand on top of theirs.
"Ready. Set…" before she said go, Capone gave her a quick wink, causing her to get flustered and suddenly let go. Giving Capone the chance to pin Lightning while he was distracted.
"And winner," Capone smirked at his competitor.
"What!? That's sha-cheating!" Lightning exploded in anger "Lightning demands a rematch!"
The bodybuilder just got up and shrugged "Sorry, I'm already feeling a bit tired. I'm gonna go take a nap" he waved goodbye as he went to Anais's corner. Sadie looked between him and Lightning before quickly following her new friend like a lost puppy.
"Lightning is gonna sha-beat him if it's the last thing Lightning does!" he stomped his foot angrily.
"Heyyy, can you keep it down over there? I'm trying to relax in peace, if you don't mind" the most handsome voice ever known to man suddenly spoke up.
Sitting in the opposite corner of the plane, stood a man who attracted the sight of just about everyone in the plane. He was the definition of sex appeal, and he knew it.
He was a tanned young man with a perfectly ripped body. Besides Lightning he looked to be the only guy in a strong physical shape. He wore a dark green shirt, with the collar going down to show off his pecks. Around his neck he had a necklace and was also wearing blue jeans. He was also wearing sandals, because it would just be rude to try hiding his skin.
Justin was walking around while looking into his mirror, before noticing a black, titan of a woman sitting around. Every now and then she was peeking at the male model. Just like every other woman on this plane.
He tried to hide his smirk as he walked over to her and took a seat "Hello there" he whispered smoothly.
The giant woman blushed, looking totally flustered. She was wearing a light tanned cowboy hat and looked like she was generally ready to go out camping. Especially with her short shorts and small vest.
"H-Hi…" Jasmine waved bashfully.
"I like your outfit" Justin smiled "It suits you"
She gasped, turning away to fan herself rapidly "T-t-thank you mate. When ya live out in the outback ya gotta be ready for anything! One time when I was a kid some wild dingos were trying to take away a few of my siblings in the dark of the night" she spoke in a thick Australian accent.
"How beautifully third world" a boy to the side of her grumbles quietly.
The man had a mop of shaggy, grey hair with red highlights at the tips, that goes down to his neck, though his bangs don't cover his eyes. He also has a birthmark that covers the entirety of his jaw, causing it to appear darker than the rest of his skin. His actual attire was a simple white tee with a tear right near his left shoulder, an unzipped navy blue hoodie with noticeable damage to it, dark grey jeans with scuffs on the knees, and heavy duty black boots.
"What were you sayin mate?" Jasmine angrily turned to look down at him "Were you making fun of Australia?"
"... not specifically" he murmured "I just don't know why you're bothering fawning over a guy wearing half a shirt"
Jasmine continued to silently frown down at him when Justin patted her on the back "I would personally love to hear more of your beautiful country. If it made a wonder like you it must have a lot going for it" he smiled charmingly at her.
The Aussie looked like she was about to drool at his smile "W-well, there's plenty to talk about mate!"
Justin leaned against the plane's wall, just happy to listen to her explanations.
"Why is this air so dirty?" a male voice wondered at one section of the plane at one section of the plane a massive cloud of poisoned air was consuming them all.
This boy looked almost offensively plain and normal. He had neatly combed dark brown hair, and was wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and black running shoes.
"I think it's poison. Can you say poison in Spanish?" a latina was seemingly asking the camera. She was wearing a purple shirt with blue jeans, Purple headband, a flower necklace and bracelet, and a purple backpack.
Donna also had her brown hair up in a ponytail.
Vernon awkwardly looked at her, coughing quietly "I… don't know honestly"
"Well, you can always learn" she smiled encouraginingly.
He continued to silently look awkward before a monkey suddenly sprouted from Donna's backpack. It looked annoyed, and clearly didn't like that they were on a plane. For some weird reason it was also wearing mittens.
"What's… w-why do you have a monkey?" he worried.
"Oh, mittens? Do you know what they call mittens in Spanish?" she smiled at him. Vernon silently shook his head slowly. Even after shaking his head, it took several moments for Donna to stop staring at him expectantly.
"Very good, it's guantes!" Donna clapped like a proud parent.
"Uh… thanks" he whispered before the monkey suddenly jumped away from them.
"Is he ok to be on his own?" Vernon worried, but Donna didn't seem to even be paying attention to him.
The monkey swung around the plane, just trying to find something it could take its anger out on.
"Oh, a monkey, what a pleasant but surprising find" Mittens landed on top of a boy scout's head. The boy just smiled as it started picking his hair for lice. Said hair was short, brown, and well kept.
His boy scout outfit complete with his merit badge sash, which he wears over his shoulder. He also wears dark green cargo pants, black boots, and a hat with the boy scout logo on it.
"You're a friendly guy" he smiled, trying to pet it before the monkey bit down on his finger. Almost immediately Nick started screaming in pain. He tried desperately to get the monkey to let go but it just held on as the boyscout started running around, slamming it repeatedly against the plane walls.
While this was going on the cause of the nauseous air was finally revealed. Standing in the middle of the area was a woman with a fake tan applying more spray-on-tans.
Anne Maria had the reverse effect of Justin, having good chunks of the males looking her way. She was wearing light blue pants that hugged her legs along with a red crop top that barely held her melons in. Most striking besides her assets was her hair, which was formed up in a large poof.
"Ah, the fifth can, this should be good for the day" she hummed happily to herself in a thick New Jersey accent, until Nick suddenly ran into her on accident.
Nick fell on his back with a soft groan "Sorry there miss, I wasn't paying attention to where I-" before he could finish his statement, Anne Maria started spraying him and the monkey in the face, blinding and poisoning them both.
"Don't touch the hair dweeb!" she insulted as she continued her spray onslaught.
The contestants continued their flight, which was rather uneventful for the most part. Ignoring the occasional turbulence that is. After some time most of them were beginning to become impatient.
"Where the heck is the host?" a man ran around with a camera in hand. He was wearing a grey shirt with a spider logo under a green jacket, black pants with a brown belt and red sneakers. "I thought we'd see her by now!"
"What do you mean? I'm right here"
Peter Carter immediately turned to the woman before quickly running over "Hey, uh, I know this is an awkward thing to ask… but can I take a picture of your feet?"
Blainley almost immediately looked disgusted "Maybe another time kid…"
"I just need a few photos, please" Peter Carter did look mortified, but that didn't stop his question.
"I think that's a rude question to ask to a woman you just met. You have to ask her on a date before requesting a photo of her feet. That's just common courtesy" a larger man walked over to them.
This fat man's hair was curly and rather long. He was wearing a red flannel and black shirt with denim pants.
"Thank you Char…" Blainley spoke slowly "I guess. But how is everyone doing on our flight today?" she smiled and clasped her hands together. Ignoring that Peter was still taking photos of her.
She got some soft murmurs of different answers. Positive and negative "Great! Because we've got our first challenge ready and roaring for you all!"
"Not even giving us a rundown first?" Anais frowned "Shouldn't we know about our eating schedule and housing situation?"
"A valid question. And all that in due time" the host turned to Lightning "Muscle head, can you open one of those crates for us?"
"It's sha-Lightning to you pretty lady!" Lightning looked slightly annoyed, but was still happy to rip the crate off with his bare hands.
Inside, they could see multiple parachutes in a pile "What're these for?" Nick tilted his head, grabbing one of them.
"They're parachutes" Donna smiled at him as Mittens got back into her backpack "Also known as… paracaídas!"
"Good question!" Blainley ignored the hispanic girl "For this first part of the challenge, you just need to grab your parachutes. From there, just float on down to our competition"
"Sounds easy enough" Nick started strapping his on.
"Will these parachutes actually work?" Wyonetta asked skeptically, looking over one of the parachutes.
"Trust me, we tested all of these out earlier!" Blainley ensured.
It cuts back in time to Blainley on the plane "Alright co host, we need to make sure all the parachutes work, are you ready to jump? '' she smirked at a man standing with a parachute at the opening of a plane.
The co host was Shion, and he had strange hair. He had shoulder-length shaggy platinum blond hair that falls on his back like a waterfall, the left bang is longer and covers most of the left side of his face and his entire left eye. His left and right bangs are cobalt, and the end of the left bangs is violet.
Shion wore a purple with black x, dots and lines marks cardigan hoodie with the hoodie being rainbow colored, and each lower side having a pocket, underneath it is a gradient blue and purple loose tank top with black dots and black splatter, ankle-length dark gray joggers, and casual white and purple sneakers. He also wears a gold star necklace around his neck and black bracelet on his right wrist.
"Are you sure you can't jump instead~?" Shion looked back at her "I think I at least have a good fourty more years left than you~" he had a playful smirk.
Instead of responding Blainley shoved him out of the plane. Shion didn't cry or scream as he fell, just laughing to himself as his parachute opened
"Works just fine Mildred~" he gave her a thumbs up when he suddenly slammed into a tree face first.
"Yep, that works" Blainley smirked from the plane.
After that, the contestants were quick to start grabbing their parachutes. Naturally the first to suit up and start running out the opening was Jake, who didn't even have it on correctly.
"First to jump and first to open their parachute!" He cheered while pulling on his, getting a parachute with a red creature on it. The creature had a long schnoz.
"Oh, that's a neat design" he smiled before rapidly writing down his 'achievements'.
Back on the place Lightning was pushing the nervous contestants out of the way "Make way for sha-Lightning!"
He pointed at himself before throwing himself off the plane, diving head first.
"No way am I letting tubby and the muscle head beat me at something" Wyonetta ran right after them with a determined look.
After they gave it a go, it convinced more of the contestants to give jumping a try, with Nick, Sadie, Capone, and Rayna all going together. The group of six pulled their parachutes.
Wyonetta, Nick, and Lightning had the same symbol on their parachutes as Jake; but Sadie, Capone, and Rayna all had a golden sphinx on theirs.
"The fall better not mess with my poof or else the host is getting it!" Anne Maria threatened while leaning by the exit of the plane.
"You really shouldn't care about the hair" Jackson deadpanned from right next to her "Having nice hair doesn't disguise your fake tan"
Anne Maria silently stared at him for a moment before chucking him off the plane head first. Which didn't seem to bother him much.
"Anyone else want a faster way off the plane?" Anne Maria threateningly turned back to the others.
"I can't force my legs to move" Vernon raised his hand slowly, before getting thrown out.
After him Anne Maria jumped out, with Char coming alongside her, he seemingly followed everything she was doing, even pulling his parachute at the same time.
"Can I help you tubby?" Maria angrily turned to him.
Char just shook his head "I'm using my large body to guard the wind from messing with your nice hair. Is it working?" He asked politely.
She tapped her hair, creating a metallic ping "Yep it's good. Thanks kid"
"Happy to help" he smiled.
Back on the plane, Justin was the last of the contestants to try grabbing a parachute, but when he got to the parachutes he found there was none left.
"That's strange, I'd assume they have a parachute for all of us" the model shrugged slightly "I guess I'll just wait for the plane to land"
He turned around, and immediately bumped into Rhonda's fat. He pulled himself back, hiding his disgust "Ah, sorry about that miss, I didn't mean to bump into you there. Not that I regret it" he smiled.
Rhonda just smirked down at him "I noticed you didn't have a parachute"
"Yea, I'm guessing they miscounted" Justin shrugged "It's not a big issue"
"Well, I know why. Donna took two" Rhonda gestured over to the woman. She was trying her damndest to get a parachute on Mittens but he wasn't having it.
"Ah, thanks" Justin smiled at her "I'll have to go ask her for it back"
The male model was about to walk away when Rhonda grabbed him and held him in the bridal carry "I don't think there's any time for that. We need to start catching up with the others!" She pointed to the last few starting to jump with Anne Maria and Donna.
"Uh, ok" Justin forced a small smile as Rhonda put his head close to her chest. With the hottie now secured Rhonda started running out the exit, still holding him close.
With them gone, the only people remaining on the plane now was Peter and Jasmine. "Come on Peter, you have to jump eventually mate. And I'm not leaving until everyone has jumped"
"Then what about the quiet girl?" Peter Carter was silently clinging to one of the tables.
"Quiet girl?" Jasmine tilted her head "I saw everyone jump ship by now"
Peter just pointed over to a box where a practically silent girl was sitting.
Her hair was a dullish dark green color. It was medium length, as the sides and back drop right to her shoulders, and her bangs draped over the left side of her face, covering her eye. She looked unhealthily skinny, not having a bust or waist to really speak of.
Willow wore a white vest with silver buttons over the black dress shirt with her white dress pants to match, but her boots, which almost go up to her knees, had green cuffs that match her hair color. Her tie is the same green color, as well. She wears a white beanie that has cat ears at the top of it. The cat ears are green on the inside and white on the outside, and there is a single green stripe running along the base of the hat. She also wears gloves which are primarily white, but the fingers are green in color.
"She's better at hiding than a koala in moltin season!" Jasmine seemed impressed as she walked over to her. She also had a parachute but didn't look ready to use it.
"Hey partner, you doin ok?" Jasmine crouched down to talk to her.
Willow looked surprised at the giant suddenly coming her way "I'm ok… I just thought I should let the more deserving contestants go ahead of me…"
The Aussie raised an eyebrow "You're here aren't ya? That should be proof enough"
Willow just looked down silently.
"Hey campers" the three remainers turned to Blainley, who was strapped to the wall "Hate to rush you all but… we kinda need to pick this up. Toodles!"
The host waived when the plane suddenly turned on its side, causing the last three to get thrown out without any warning.
The trio screamed in fear as they fell from the sky with the rest of the contestants.
"The koala says cluck to the platypus for luck!" Jasmine panicked before pulling on her parachute. She got a red goblin. The same went for Willow.
All the contestants managed to make their parachutes work, with all of them having specific colors and symbols on them.
Jake was the first contestant to land on the ground, which he immediately started writing down. "Sweet" he grinned.
Anais soon landed next to him, noticing his note taking with a small amused smile "I see you're taking notes on the competition. Quite the clever idea"
He silently looked back at her "Yes… that's what I'm doing" he murmured before pocketing his notes "How did you get down here so fast? I mean you got here second"
The intellectual just shrugged "It's all about aerodynamics and when to use one's parachute" she looked up to the sky to see Lightning flying straight into a nearby manor, while Willow was sent flying into a tree. Just like Shion before them.
"And that's why other people should've taken that into consideration" Anais mused.
"You're pretty smart…" Jake spoke slowly.
Anais smiled at him "That's very true. Top of my class. Likely the smartest here as well. You can write that down too"
Jake's eye twitched slightly "Interesting…"
Before anything else could come from their interaction, the majority of the other contestants started coming down. The massive Aussie was just running to the forest to try helping Willow down from the tree.
The campsite was a rather nice looking place considering the crappy competition setting. There was a large manor and a landingstrip right next to a large, beautiful lake, and even the forest looked nice.
"I could get used to a place like this!" Anne Maria smirked at the scene "Naturally the manor's for me"
"I think Justin and I could use it for just the two of us" Rhonda smirked down at Justin, who she was still carrying.
Before the model could respond, the plane they rode on landed on the landing strip "That manor isn't for any of you!" Blainley called during the landing.
Once the plane was to a stop she walked off the plane with a confident smile "It's for Shion and I. And we have a shack in the back for all the interns"
"Hey guys, this manor has a sha-cusi!" Lightning called, his head still stuck inside the manor.
Blainley sighed slightly "Shion, get him down while I'm telling them the challenge" she rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"You've got it bossy granny" Shion suddenly appeared in the crowd of contestants, saluting to her before walking over to a shack, grabbing a ladder, and trying to smack Lightning out of it.
"Ok!" Blainley turned to the majority as Jasmine came back with Willow under her arm like a suitcase. "Who's got what parachutes?"
The contestants looked confused, but grabbed their parachute fabrics. "Ok, so, those who have red go to my right. Those with gold can be on my left"
They slowly did so, getting into groups of nine. On her right was Jasmine, Jake, Willow, Donna, Nick, Wyonetta, Anais, and Peter "You… eight… will be the Terrible Tengu!" she announced.
"Is Lightning our ninth member?" Nick wondered while looking back to the manor.
"I'd be able to carry just fine without him" Wyonetta smirked confidently.
Lightning started running over to them with a confident smile "Wait for sha-Lightning, can't leave the team's MVP behind!" he flexed while running to the team, pushing Jake onto the ground by running into him.
"Glad you joined us Lightning…" Blainley murmured before turning to her left.
This group consisted of Justin, Sadie, Rhonda, Jackson, Capone, Rayna, Anne Maria, Char, and Vernon. "I dub you nine… the Secret sphinx!"
"This team is going to be fun" Jackson deadpanned, clearly annoyed.
"But there's plenty more to see and plenty you should know" Blainley started leading them away from the manor. Specifically down to the large pond, where there was multiple logs with a firepit in front of them "This is our elimination ceremony… place!" she smiled "Here, we have you all vote on who you want to send him. Can be because you hate them, they failed your team, or whatever you think deserves a vote!"
"Good thing we won't be seeing this often" Anais mused.
Capone silently pointed at Anais "Why does one of the teams have a lost child?"
"I'm not a child Capdodo!" Anais immediately countered, making Capone just as annoyed before Blainley stood between them.
"And that's not all! We also have the confessionals" she walked over to two porta potties "Here's where you air all your dirty laundry without any punishment. Just free reign to say what you gotta say."
"That sounds… fun" a droopy Sadie murmured "It would be… e-e-even more fun if… K-Katie were here!" she burst into tears, leaning against Capone, who just started looking awkward.
Confessional: Sadie
She was crying as she held on tight to the still annoyed Capone "I… my f-friend Katie is my BFFFFL, w-we do everything together!" B-but… they only accepted me!" She balled into Capone's shoulder.
"You're ruining my shirt" he deadpanned.

Confessional: Peter
Peter Carter had a slightly annoyed expression as he looked down at his camera "So… t-the reason I'm taking photos of Blainley because my boss wants some…"
He blushed a little "I-It's not a perverse reason or anything. He just runs one of those gossip magazines. He wants me to get something… juicy before I go"
He looked back at where the inn was "I currently have a few ideas of how I could do that…"
XXX
After that, Blainley led them back to the inn "Now, as stated we have our first challenge. And this challenge is simple."
She pointed directly to the forest "You're making your food where all the gross creeping crawlies are!"
Donna and Nick both seemed pretty excited now "We're going to be making our casas? That sounds so fun!" Donna cheered
"A good question" she starts walking away.
"Is she… not going to tell us what we're doing?" Char whispered as she went inside the large inn,
Suddenly a loudspeaker noise came from the inn "I refuse going anywhere near all those disgusting bugs. Especially on the first day! So you all have five hours to create your new homes before Shion and I finish my suit and make our way over there! There should be a pile of junk a mile into the forest so I'd try using that!"
The loudspeaker turned off as all the contestants looked to each other.
Naturally the first contestant to move and start running that way was Jake "I'm gonna get to the pile first!"
The mentioning of 'first' immediately sparked Lightning and Wyonetta who chased after him. "No way is Sha-Lightning being outpaced by you tubby!"
"And no way am I losing to the muscle head" Wyonetta called back to him.
Once those three were going, everyone else was starting to follow. Rhonda and Capone ended up being the ones leading the Sphinxes.
Eventually both teams made it to an opening in the forest. Finding the massive junk pile Blainley mentioned. However, the chunky boy Jake didn't make it first to the pile.
First was Lightning… then Rhonda… then Wyonetta. And then most of the other contestants excluding Anais, Jake, Peter, and Char.
"You're faster than Lightning was thinking, big man!" The jock smiled at Rhonda "But Lightning never loses!"
The wide woman immediately scowled at him "I'm not a man"
"Sha-what?" He looked her over "Are you sha-serious?"
"If you don't shut your mouth I won't be afraid to shut it for you" Rhonda threatened while cracking her knuckles.
"Keep your hands to yourself, we need to get as many supplies as possible" Jackson ran to the pile grabbing a large box filled with nails.
"Well he should watch what he's saying!" Rhonda stormed over to the pile.
"Lightning was just complimenting him, what did Lightning do?"
"That's not important now" Jasmine looked down at her team "We need to grab what we can and get moving fast. If anyone has an idea just bark it out"
Nick threw his thumb over his shoulder "I think we're missing a third of our team ma'am"
"I'm glad someone else said that. I-I didn't want to interrupt Jasmine carrying me" Willow whispered quietly.
Jasmine frowned before counting their heads "That's not a great start" she slapped her forehead.
"We should go back for them!" Donna suggested.
"No, it would just waste us extra time" she shook her head "We'll just have to hope they come around soon."
"Well, in that case we could all take jobs. Lightning and Wyonetta are fast so they can run and grab the equipment while the rest of us build something effective"
"We have to be the ones running around endlessly? That sounds like a total pain" Wyo rolled her eyes "I mean, just dragging things around sounds unbearably plain"
As they were speaking, Vernon walked to the pile, grabbing things with the rest of his team. Excluding Justin and Anne Maria who sat back. However, while he was digging around he noticed a strange green surface under a trash bag.
He silently frowned at it. He was about to inform the rest of his team about the hard looking scales when the pile started moving on its own.
"G-guys, we should… s-start backing away now" he warned, being the first of them to back away.
Before anyone else could respond, a massive, scaled dragon emerged. Part of its form was without any scales, revealing it to be an animatronic.
"I-It's a monster!" Sadie squealed, hiding behind Rhonda.
The dragon leaned down, roaring at the sphinxs. The team slowly backed away, with the exception of Rayna who was snatched up in its claws.
"Oh noooo" Rayna pretended to sound worried "I need a strong confident man to come in save me I guess~"
"Sha-Lightning's coming lady!" Lightning announced before running straight for the dragon.
"Wait, we should let the other team deal with the dragon!" Jasmine yelled, but the jock just couldn't hear her.
"Dragon in Spanish is dragón," Donna pointed out with an innocent smile.
Jasmine silently sighed "Wyo, you and I are going to get what we can, sound fine?"
Wyonetta just shrugged "Yea, sure, whatever"
"And you two make sure Anais, Jake, and Peter know what they're doing when they get here!" she pointed to Nick and Donna, who just nodded.
Confessional: Rayna
She had a small smirk on her face "What's a better shipping dynamic than the classic damsel in distress and her hero? Best part of that dynamic is that the hero is almost always a beefcake. I'd say that's the perfect ship for me"

While all of them were trying to get through the challenge, Peter was silently sneaking around the inside of the host inn. He could hear Blainley in the shower on the third story, so he wasn't too worried about being caught. That was until he started hearing soft footsteps coming his way.
Peter Carter looked around, trying to find a good place he could try hiding in when he noticed a grandfather clock. Not seeing anything better to go with he just hid inside of it, which proved to not be a very subtle hiding spot.
As he hid, Shion slowly walked past, not paying him any mind. Shion was too distracted looking down at his nails.
"Thank goodness" Peter quietly sighed in relief, pulling himself out of the grandfather clock.
"Can I ask why you tried hiding when I came around~? I didn't think I was that intimidating by just walking by~"
The photographer froze in fear as he looked over to the cohost. Shion had a shit eating grin on his face "Cat got your tongue or am I that breathtaking~?"
Peter blushed and bashfully stood up again "I'm sorry, I was… lost! And trying to find my way out"
"I know that's not true silly~ Just let it out" Shion looked forward expectantly.
"Ok, fine" he sighed "My boss needs a bunch of photos of Mildred and I was hoping to get her in her natural habitat" to show what he means he holds up his camera.
"You should have just said that to start~" he smiled while snatching the camera from him "I'll get this set up and give you some photos actually worth your time~"
Shion smirked and snapped a few photos of himself. This still lit up Peter "Well if you could do that I'd really appreciate it"
Peter just got a thumbs up, before taking the chance to get back to his companions. And while the jog wasn't too hard, it did take some time when he reached Char, Jake, and Anais sweating and panting not far from where everyone else was.
The photographer could see Rhonda and Lightning fighting the dragon as the rest of the contestants grabbed what they could. "That's intense…" he murmured.
Confessional: Anais
The short intellectual was still sweating a bit as she wiped her brow "So, I must admit this first challenge hasn't gone as I anticipated. Being athletic was never one of my superior attributes if you could believe that. But I'm hoping in the construction half of the challenge I can show my usefulness"

As the battle raged on, the teams were just trying to grab what they could. Anne Maria was walking around the pile, seeming uninterested in what was inside the pile "Jeez, do these schmucks have anything worth taking?" she crossed her arms when she noticed something in the pile.
"Ah, now we're talkin!" she cheered, pulling a spray-on tan bottle "Where have you been beautiful?"
Before she could start spraying herself, the dragon swatted it out of her hand with its tail. "Hey, watch it you big hunk of metal!"
The dragon simply ignored her, continuing to focus on the two strongest contestants. "Dragon shit, don't you turn your back on me when I'm talking to you!" she grabbed onto its tail and started climbing up the dragon's back.
"So… what did I miss?" Char walked over to his team's slowly growing pile, where Vernon and Jackson were standing.
As he asked this, Anne Maria slammed her fist into the dragon's head, pulling out its wiring. The dragon collapsed onto the ground almost immediately, with its eyes just going dark.
"The release of the beast" Capone mused "Not that I couldn't have done the same thing as her"
"The route is safe, so all of you need to get back to grabbing junk or else I'm going to tear yours off!" Rhonda threatened to the two standing further back.
"What about Justin?" Jackson gestured to Justin, who was just soaking some rays.
"Sorry guys" Justin apologized with a small smirk "But when you're a male model, looking good is a full time job"
"He's absolutely right. So let's get going!" she practically screamed, getting all three boys to run over as fast as they could to grab what they could.
The same applied for the Tengu. Both teams had some solid piles forming when Blainley's voice spoke over the scene again "Ok, since you killed the dragon… you're no longer allowed to use the pile. You all better hope you just got what you needed!"
"That went by fast" Sadie had a small smile "And none of us are dead yet. Winning!"
"So, what do we have going for us?" Capone walked over to the Spyhnx pile past a tree-line. Their pile wasn't anything special, it had a few bricks, stones, rocks, heart shaped paper, a large mirror, plenty of wood, and a can of spray-on-tan. "This could be a lot worse"
"Who spent their time making paper hearts?" Justin asked while holding up the hearts.
"Oh, that was us" Rayna mused while elbowing Sadie.
Sadie smiled innocently "We thought it would help make the home we make more homely!"
"That was clearly a waste of time" Rhonda deadpanned "We don't need that dumb girly decoratoins to win"
"Well, they could be helpful" Char pointed out "Perhaps the challenge is just making an appealing home"
"That's not a bad theory" Jackson nodded "Blainley seems like the superficial type…"
"Should we… vote on w-what strategy to go for?" Vernon inquired.
"Sure, who wants to focus on just making something that looks good but won't actually last?" Rhonda deadpanned.
Sadie, Anne Maria, Rayna, Jackson, Capone, and Justin raised their hands. Almost immediately after Justin's hand raised Rhonda raised her own.
"Admittedly, a bit surprised by the results"
"Well, that's the vote, guess we better get to work" Capone started grabbing some of the wood.
"I'm not one to argue with democracy" Char smiled and shrugged as he started grabbing things.
Meanwhile, the Tengu were examining their own pile. Theirs was a lot smaller and less impressive. "Well… this stinks," Peter murmured.
"Where have you three been?" Jasmine chastised "You only got here after we lost!"
"We're not done yet" Anais shook her head "We have the creation segment, which should be easier for us"
"It could be easy. If we had better supplies" Wyonetta grabbed a bucket filled with glitter "Clearly someone thought this was funny"
"Oh, that was me," Donna smiled "Mittens thought that our base would look so much nicer with some glitter! Do you-"
Jake put a hand to her mouth to silence her "I was the first person in my family to ever design and build a house myself, and I'd be happy to be the first one on this team to build one"
"Yea, let's stay positive" Nick smiled "Jasmine, Donna, and I are the survivalist types, and then Jake and Anais seem clever enough to find something stable"
"Useless again" Willow murmured while lowering her head.
"Lightning gets why the little boy isn't useful but Lightning knows he can build better than any of you"
"Please, let's just stay on topic" Jasmine pleaded to her companions.
"Ok, ok" Anais had a plan "We don't have enough equipment for an actual house" he gestures to their more decorative home "Clearly… we just need to make a home out of somewhere that's already stable"
"We could… do a cave?" Nick scratched his chin "Those are pretty stable"
Almost immediately their giant leader froze in place. Mittens silently tapped her side, however she still didn't move.
"J-Jasmine?" Willow looked genuinely concerned.
"Nothing, nothing" she chuckled nervously "Just… a wee bit nervous of claustrophobic areas"
"Do you know what claustrophobic means?" Donna asked asked slowly, specifically looking at Lightning.
"Don't try babying Lightning. It means she's scared of Santa Clause"
"Let's just do the plan" Jasmine shook her head "It's not like I'll have to sleep in the cave or anything"
"Let's not dilly dally then" Jake was the first to grab their supplies and was the first to start running to try and find a cave.
"Since we're supposedly in Japan it won't be an issue at least finding a mountain" Anais pointed out as the team started running. This time the large Aussie thought ahead and carried Willow with the brainiac.
Confessional: Wyonetta
"It feels like the whole competition is here to be more annoying than challenging" she deadpanned "Especially on my team. Anais and Jake are about as cliche a nerd can get. And the less said about Donna and Lightning the better"
She looked off screen "Talk about the building we made? How about you do that! It's ok, happy?"
Confessional: Jackson
The emo boy leaned back in his seat "With how the team is… I wasn't really expecting us to make much progress…. But we managed to make a whole building with rooms for everyone. And thankfully all the walls seemed soundproof"

The teams were given plenty of time to craft and forge as well as they could. There had to be some improvisation, but they were done and ready by the time the challenge was over.
Once most teams were more or less done and ready with their crafting, Blainley and Shion were both riding in an all-terain truck that had the top thrown off.
The teams could hear an alarm coming from their truck "You hooo, campers~" Shion called with a loudspeaker "we're here to start judging~!"
Almost immediately the teams stopped what they were doing, waiting outside their homes for the hosts to arrive. Their first stop was to the Tengu base.
Their base was pretty simple. They found their base to be very simple, just seeing a cave with a wooden entrance wall and door.
"How unsanitary" Blainley murmured at the cave part.
"Please Mrs. Blainley, we can assure you it's very stable" Nick smiled, clearly proud of their work.
"We'll just have to see about this" Blainley skeptically crossed her arms as mist surrounded the contestants. They looked around swiftly, trying to see what was happening when they heard something walking over to them.
"What's going on?" Peter glanced around nervously, when the contestants noticed a figure in a samurai outift.
"Just let him do what he's gonna do~" Shion smiled to the contestants as it walked past them.
The team skeptically stood by as the mist started dissipating. Revealing the figure to be someone wearing a mask similar to the symbol on their parachutes.
"Oh, it's a Tengu!" Donna cheered.
"Lightning still doesn't know what that means. Is it like those funny monkeys with the weird noses?"
"Not even close" Anais deadpanned "That's a Proboscis Monkey"
"The myth of the Tengu could've been based on the Japanese Macaque, so he's not totally wrong" Jake had a small smirk pointing that out.
As the team started debating if a Tengu is a type of monkey or based on a monkey, or just something totally irrelevant as the masked man unsheathed a katana and sliced through the Tengu's door.
"Hey, what's he doing now?" Nick noticed what he was doing while they were distracted.
"He's seeing how stable your home is" Blainley mused as the man ran inside "So just give him a few moments here"
The Terrible Tengu could only listen in silence as the man ravished their home. Eventually, he walked out and sheathed his katana. The mist was long gone as the team silently glanced inside. All of their furniture was gone, only leaving a small fire pit they created.
"Well, at least we don't have to sleep inside there anymore" Jasmine chuckled nervously.
By the time the team turned back around, the two hosts were already back in their truck and were starting to drive away "We'll see you back at the pile for your score~" Shion waved.
With the Tengu's trashed, they soon arrived at the sphinx headquarters.
Shion and Blainley looked around "So, where exactly is your base?" the blonde crossed her arms, not seeing any kind of building.
Justin was the first contestant to walk over, extending a hand to take hers "Raise those wonderful eyes of yours and you'll see what we spent our time on"
Blainley blushed, giggling like a little school girl as Shion looked up, finding that they made a massive treehouse "That's pretty creative~" he smiled.
The other host also looked up, seemingly just as impressed "Not bad. Not bad at all"
"Would you like the tour?" Char gestured to a latter.
"Oh, no, that won't be necessary," Blainley chuckled.
"Then… how will you judge us?" Rayna worried. As she asked this, they could hear the call of a loud cawing.
From where they stood, a shadow came from the sky. They glanced up, finding a creature with a lion's body, falcon wings, and a human head.
"What's the giant flying rat?" Anne Maria deadpanned.
Shion smirked "That's a sphinx~ it's here to fuck your shit up~"
The Sphinx landed on the top of their treehouse, smashing a large hole in one of the many rooms. Rhonda grabbed a large rock from the ground, getting ready to knock the creature out in one powerful strike.
"Ah, ah, ah" Blainley wagged her finger "It gets free reign to destroy what it wants for a few moments now…"
Rhonda begrudgingly dropped the rock as the Sphinx flew around, smashing up more and more of their base until suddenly flying off. The base seemed messed up, but stable for the moment.
"Not bad Sphinxes" she complimented. Only for their large tree house to suddenly collapse in on itself, crashing down on Vernon. But thankfully everyone else was ok.
"Well… I didn't think someone could do worse than the Tengu" the host murmured.
The Secret Sphinxes groaned in annoyance, knowing they lost. "Good thing it's a non-elimination round~" Shion snickered softly.
"What!? Why didn't you tell us that earlier?" Anne Maria snapped "I would've spent more of my time doin sometin important!"
Blainley sighed "Why'd you tell them? I wanted to see them squirm more!"
Shion had a coy smile as he covered his lips with his hand "Did I say that~? My apologies, it just slipped out"
"It doesn't matter, next time you slip up you're fired, get it?" Blainly scowled at him. He just returned with a gesture of zipping his lips shut "OK. Good. But don't think losing today was just fine, Shion will be going to the Tengu and giving them some special food for the night. You nine however… will have to forage for yourselves"
"That's worse than just sending someone home" Rayna groaned.
"Hey, there's plenty of food around for you all to scoop up some grub" Blainley shrugged "But hey, try winning next time and you guys might get a special treat. But until then, see you around!" she waved before Shion started driving them away.
Later that night, the Tengu were standing by a fire with all of them in very jovial moods. "I hope we keep winning if we get food like this!" Donna smiled as she ate into a vegan burger.
"As long as we let me do most of the legwork I think we'll be just fine" Wyonetta smirked.
"Please, Sha-Lightning will carry these challenges. Just look at Lightning's muscles!" he flexed, showing off how strong he looked.
"I think you will both be really helpful" Willow murmured with a small smile.
"You weren't too bad yourself" Nick complimented her, as he sat right next to her "If you were in the scouts you'd be pretty great I think"
Willow silently blushed "Not as good as you I'm sure…"
"Well, that's why practice makes perfect"
As the team enjoyed the spoils of war, some juicy burgers, members of the opposing team could only watch in annoyance. Particularly Justin, Rhonda, and Capone. The rest of them were at least trying to make a new home.
Jake noticed them staring and silently waved at them with a smile.
"We'll beat then next time" Rhonda stated flatly, while wrapping her arms around Justin and Capone.
"We better" Capone didn't seem too bothered by it "I can't just keep these impeccable muscles if we don't get proper food" he raised his shirt to show it off. Which Rhonda was more than appreciative of.
Confessional: Jake
Jake had a proud smile on his face as he wrote down on a notebook "First to jump out the plane, first male to talk, first to land, first team win… things are going great! If we ignore that I wasn't the first to get to the pile…" he started angrily clutching his notepad "But I'll be damned if he beats me at being first with something else!"
Confessional: Justin
Justin sat in the confessional with a serious expression "This first challenge didn't quite go as well as I hoped. But the important part is that I'm still in this, and I'm in it to win it"
He had a more confident smile now. "That's right, I'm not just a perfect face, abs, nose, pecs, butt, and incredible calves. I'm also a master strategist. My brain is just as beautiful as the rest of me. And with both sides working together, I'm going to be unstoppable" he spoke in his usual, hot tone as he kicked back and rested his perfect feet against the confessional door.

"So hot" Blainley grunted as she fanned herself, with Shion looking just as attracted to his speech as she was.
"I think we should just end it here. No way we can top that~" Shion rested his chin on his hands as he gazed at Justin.
Blainley nodded "For once I agree." she turned to look at the camera "That's all for today. But be sure to tune in for more Justin in our next episode of Total Drama Legends!"
