naruto was on the run just like every other one of his birthdays. Today marked his 6th birthday but today was my especially worse drunk mob along with some drunk chunnin.
he turned left they'd turn left he'd turn right they'd turn right you get the gist of it. he turned a sudden right and ducked behind a dumpster.
Where is he! one screeched
look around he can't be to far. one responded
naruto prayed they wouldn't find him.
so he stayed till he knew they we gone as far as he knew they were. he had just wanted food and he knew he shouldn't have gone out but he hadn't eaten in 3 days he barely had any muscle or fat for that matter.
naruto sighed and began running, running to the only place that he find some comfort and hopefully food.
15 minutes later
naruto had read about traps when he could about different kinds of thing ranging from traps to cooking to even skinning and knowing what to eat. so he made his way to a forest.
he headed deep in the forest where no one wandered.
naruto landed by a river wanting to be taken by in and be anywhere but here but he knew better because he had people who cared like jiji or the Ramen owner and his daughter who he had seen there.
naruto laid there for 10 minute before drifting off to sleep.
5 hours later
naruto awoke to someone whistling a low but somber tune. he sat up only inhale the smell of cooked fish and rabbit, immediately his stomach growled. the man then looked over to naruto as naruto sat up. he was wearing what looked to be a full mask it could only be described as a wolf. He had a long black cloak with 2 swords on his back and a bow with a quiver full of arrows and he had gloves, boots,black cargo pants, spiky black hair that went down behind his back like the stories he heard about Madera uchiha and most importantly his eyes, they seemed to gaze over his entire being like a giant towering over and insignificant ant or the sun to the moon.

wolf are you anbu he questioned because of the mask and jiji had introduced him to inu and cat and said they were to guard him in events of emergency or if the time called for it.
naruto relaxed at the thought of a friendly anbu but it could be a trick because before in and cat there were anbu who let loose where he was to the village on fox hunts.

you should eat a young kit like you may need the energy and nutrients to grow big and strong he spoke with a what looked to be a smile.
naruto hesitantly took the fish and smelled to see if anything was wrong before taking a bite and digging in.

so wolf shared food with naruto and showed him how to use traps small ones meant for rabbits or even deer and showed him how to start a fire.
when it hit 9am they walked back to the village to let the hokage and anbu know he was alright and alive with a few already healed cuts and bruises.
30 minutes later
I'm back jiji naruto exclaimed
the hokage immediately dropped what he was doing and went over to naruto same with inu and cat.
are you hurt naruto inu questioned while assessing him

yes I'm fine wolf found me and gave me fish and rabbit even showed my how to trap rabbit and deer naruto beamed.

neither disagreed they had lost naruto on the most important day to keep watch it was a blow to their pride.

wolf then would occasionally be naruto guard for a couple nights and even on his birthday but they wouldn't meet again till he was 12.
