Chapter 6: The Dragon Kingdom
Rudy opend the back door and looked around for Brill while everyone was packing up for some, He ran down a road, but then stopped and went the other way as Captain Fightdeck drove by and was on speaker.
"Lock your doors! The Dragon has Returned!"
Driving away, Rudy ran to the edge to find Brill.
"Brill? Where is he? Where is he? Where is he?"
He then ran down an alley way as everyone was closing their doors and windows, Rudy reached a dead end until he heard familiar screaming.
"Brill?"
He followed the scream to the edge of a cliff and found the Brill was being attacked by Seagulls for have a corn dog in his hand.
"Ahh! Get off me you feathery demons! Ow! You winged dopes Ow Ow, Hey! Save Yourself, It's too late for me!"
He shouted as Rudy grabbed the corn dog.
"Forget the corn dog!"
He said getting the Seagulls' attention and throwing it over the cliff, with the seagulls following it.
"Did you see that? They took my stick snack."
"Hey! Uncle Brill, focus. I need to know.""
Rudy said grabbing his face.
"Mm-hmm"
Brill nodded.
"Who sent you here?"
He asked making Brill looked scared to say.
"Mmm, No! No no no! No, please don't ask me things, I am so bad at keeping secrets, just talk to your Mom."
"Mom won't tell me anything!"
"Well neither will I, she should be the one to tell you about your Grandmother."
Brill then realized and nervously put his hand up to his mouth.
"My what?"
"Nothing. I didn't say Grandmother, What? I said landlubber, ahoy?"
"I have a Grandmother!?"
"Uh, No No No! Uh, don't listen to me. I don't know what im saying, I'm hungry traumatized form before- It's the Birds-"
"Wait, the Women in our family can also turn into Giant Dragons, right? That means, she's a Giant Dragon too!"
"Uhh... let the record show, I kept that part a secret."
"Is she here?"
"What? No, your Grandmother would never leave the sky, honestly I don't know how you're Mom did it all these years, land is not built for a Giant Dragon."
He finished as Rudy looked down at Cloudside and his house.
"You're right, it's not."
He said looking at his hand as Brill nodded.
"I don't know the first thing about being a Giant Dragon, but it's not fair to keep in the dark either."
"Nope, not at all."
Brill agreed.
"I can't keep waiting for answers."
Rudy said as the sun went down and lights started to turn on and when one turned on, he had an idea by looking up into the sky.
"I need to take control of my own life."
"You go kid."
Brill encouraged as Rudy started walking to the edge of the cliff.
"I'm a Dragon."
"Preach!"
"And if I want answers, then there's only one person who can help me."
"Your Mom!"
"My Grandmother!"
"Yea- No! What?! I can't let you do that, you're Mom will kill me."
Brill said stopping Rudy who then groaned.
"Uncle Brill, you been more helpful than you can imagine."
He said hugging Brill who sighed while hugging him back.
"You know, this is the first hug we've had in fifteen years."
"Then I'm really sorry."
"For what?"
"This."
He said taking a corn dog from the trash and giving it to him then walked away.
"Oh! A Stick snack!"
Then a Seagull was on his head and then a bunch more and attacked.
"AAAAHHH! HELP!"
Rudy didn't pay attention as he got to the edge of the cliff and looked down into the Sea of Clouds, he took a deep breath and jumped into it, then there was darkness, until light start to shed, Rudy opened his eyes and saw he was flying, and then looked at his hands and they started to glow reaching up his arms, and then he swooped out of the Clouds, glowing all over his body, he was getting a real good look at himself, Uncle Brill then joined getting feathers off him.
"Ok, real clever with the stick trick, I admit that but- Whoa!!"
He was then speechless as he looked how Big and Bright Rudy is.
"Yeah! It's kinda Amazing."
"There's no way I'm getting you out of the Sky now, is there?"
Brill asked and Rudy shook his head with a smirk, Brill then sighed.
"Well, follow me!"
He said flying off.
"Wait! Uncle Brill! WHOOAA!!"
Rudy immediately and took off fast, Rudy then give a big flap and another one until, he started to get the hang of it, and he was flying quick, down below Captain flightdeck and Buckwheat were on look out, Buckwheat Baad at the sight of something glowing up above and it got flightdeck's attention while the thing flew over them fast and he laughed sinisterly.
Rudy was enjoying how high he was, and started going even faster, he approached a flock a falcons traveling.
"Sawyer?"
He noticed one of them and moving closer to it.
"Sawyer H. Watterson, you're all grown up! I'm so glad you made it."
the Falcon screeched saying "thank you" as Rudy start going a different direction.
"You look great."
Next he caught up to Brill while coming across glowing Butterflies and other flying animals.
"Uncle Brill, being in the sky is more wonderful than anything I could Imagine."
"Ha, trust me, kid. It only gets better from here."
He said going higher into the sky with Rudy following him, he came across a current of light he followed it, touched it and then went inside, and came out on the other side.
"Wow! That was wild."
"Welcome to the Kingdom of the Dragons."
Brill said revealing a Giant Castle on a mountain top over the horizon, and Rudy started flying to it, Rudy and Brill arrived at the entrance as it started to glow red, same as Rudy's color, and it opened, Brill went inside with Rudy following into the Hall of Dragons.
"Whoa."
He said staring at it in awe.
"Yeah, I know what your thinking, it's a little over the top, but you know royals."
Brill laughed
"Royals? You mean my Grandmother's-"
"A Queen! A Warrior Queen!"
He was interrupted and looked up to see a Green-ish Yellow Giant Dragon coming down from above.
"Ultimate Loredess, Ruler of the Skies, Et cetera, et cetera. Give me a hug."
She said squeezing Rudy with her 4 arms.
"So... tight!"
He said barely breathing.
"Aww."
Brill wanted in, but then this.
"Not now Brill! It's Rudy's time now and you said you'd be ok with it, huh?"
"Of course Mamah, I'm not that needy, so..."
He said going down.
"I still can't believe you're my Grandmother."
Rudy said with astonishment.
"Please, Call me, Grandmamah!"
She said acting dramatic and Rudy was still speechless.
"You seem surprised by the level of General Majesty and Royal Splendor."
"I definitely wasn't expecting the whole Queen thing."
"You're Mother never told you, you were Royalty?"
"I guess it was another tiny omission."
"Tiny Omission!? AGATHA!!!!"
She shouted as the room quaked shocking Rudy, the castle then released green energy pulse, the Queen looked clam again.
"Don't worry, I go to therapy now, I see a wise Eagle on Tuesdays and Fridays, and I've let my rage go, Away Rage."
She finished as a Butterfly carried a plate of cookies.
"Ah, Cookies! Help yourself Rudy."
She said moving it over to him and he tried one.
"Wow... their really... really good, a little mushy."
"I made someone make them myself."
She said as she and Rudy went down a hall.
"Now, talk to your Grandmamah, tell me everything, was it horrible living among the hairy crust-dwellers?"
"You mean people?"
He said and the Queen chuckled.
"Even the word just makes my wings squirm."
"People are kind of nice actually, I've a couple of friends, I asked a Girl to the Prom, well sort of, it did not go great."
He said having flashbacks of the Porm-posal gone wrong.
"Well deary, you can put all of that behind you you're made for bigger things, come with me."
She said as he following her into the Throne Room, Rudy was surprised as he was then surrounded by thousands of dragons, not alot were big but there was alot of them.
"Is that Rudy?/It's Him!/He's back!/I can't believe it!/Look it's the King!"
They all looked excited as Rudy appeared and praised him, Rudy looked at butterflies, and then saw a Child Dragon giving him a gift.
"Oh, for me? Thank you."
"It's Rudy!/Rudy's here./He's so handsome."
More and more Dragons came happy to see Rudy.
"Hi Rudy."
Said one of the two Dragons passing by, Rudy smiled back, soon the place was filled with Dragons.
"Fellow Dragons! Here at last is his Majesty, my Grandson, after 15 years, King Rudolph has finally returned home, to be my successor."
The Queen finished as everyone cheered and Rudy looked even more surprised, but not in a good way.
"Wait! Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait! Majesty!? You mean I'm a... A What Now?!"
"Rudy you're the King! Address the crowd."
The Queen said as Rudy started to freak out while everyone wait for his response, even Uncle Brill.
"I think... I am STARTING TO PASS OUT!!"
He said collapsing while everyone cheered anyway.
