Also, the magic tablet can also size shift. This is to save myself from the question of where does he put the thing.

Enjoy.

Chilly. That was the first thing Rainer felt when he found himself in a new universe with Fionna, Cake and Simon as well as the Scarab. Around him were cozy looking houses covered in snow around snowy roads of ice. It was almost enough to make him forget the metallic taste of blood in his mouth.

What did, however, was Scarab almost turning Rainer into a donut using a silver rod. Luckily, Fionna pulled him out of the way just in time leaving Scarab to embed the rod in the ice road.

"Werewolf Prince! Do something!" Exclaimed Fionna in fear.

Knowing how allergic to silver he was, he decided to transform into a small wolf and jump onto Fionna's shoulder. "Oh, come on!" Exclaimed Fionna as she began running away from the Scarab.

Rainer ignored his instincts that told him to fight. There were too many things circling in his brain for him to try that.

"COME HERE!" Yelled Scarab angrily as he chased the group.

And just as he was about to catch them, a bolt of ice flew towards Scarab and encased him in ice before the group of four heard a merry chuckle.

"Hahaha. Worry not, friends. You're safe now." Everyone turned to the source of the voice and saw what looked to be an Ice person Simon wearing the magic crown and standing on the head of a giant penguin. "The rascal is frozen inside my inescapable magic ice."

Rainer quickly transformed back into his human werewolf form. He stared at ice Simon with wide eyes as he got off his penguin. He really wanted to draw him for some reason. Meanwhile, Simon and Ice Simon quickly recognized each other as...each other. Ice Simon introduced himself as the Winter King before Cake quickly snatched his crown with a yoink and ran away.

No one budged as ice Giants brought her back with the crown. Fionna took her cat from the giants and spoke to the Winter King. "Cake didn't mean any harm."

"A cat named Cake? Hahaha! Outrageous!" Ice Simon replied cheerfully. "And what is your name fair lady."

"I'm Fionna." Replied Fionna earning the intrigue of Ice Simon. "And the reason we need this crown is to transform Simon. Our world depends on him becoming cursed and magical again."

As the Winter King was about to ask Simon if this was true, his eyes fell on Rainer and everyone could tell Ice Simon was a little uncomfortable.

"Is that a... werewolf?" He asked with a weak smile. "With very bloody teeth?"

Everyone sweat dropped hearing the Winter King's question. "Yes?" Said Fionna nervously, hoping Ice Simon wouldn't react horribly as Rainer licked his teeth and spat out all the blood.

Seeing that, Ice Simon did what any sane person would.

Rainer was now sitting in a large and spacious and very locked cage as Winter King and the rest of the group stared at him. He felt... horrible in this place. Like a rabid animal placed there for everyone safety.

I guess I deserve it after what I did. Rainer thought dejectedly.

"He'll have to stay here until you leave. It's made from a silver alloy that won't hurt him, but will suppress his powers." Said Ice Simon cheerfully as he turned around to leave. "And don't worry! He'll be given food and water. Now let's go continue from where we left off."

As Winter King took off and left the area, Fionna approached the cage with a guilty expression. "Sorry, Werewolf Prince. But-"

Fionna couldn't finish her sentence before Rainer threw his cloak into her face as well as his royal looking turtleneck leaving him with a plain white button up shirt with the first couple of buttons undone.

Leave me alone. Thought Rainer with a frown feeling horrible about himself and not at all angry with Fionna, but it didn't translate that well to her.

Fionna groaned as she threw away the clothes he threw at her. "You don't need to be difficult ALL the time!" She said with a frown as she turned around to follow the Winter King. "Maybe if you didn't kill that guy YOU WOULDN'T BE IN THERE RIGHT NOW!" She exclaimed causing Rainer to frown as his ears fell to his head gloomily and his tail dropped to the ground despondently.

Cake glanced at Rainer for a second before quickly following Fionna silently. Meanwhile, Simon decided to sit in front of Rainer's cage with a calm expression. Seeing this, Rainer headed to the opposite end of the cage and gave his back to Simon.

"Rainer, I just want to ask about what happened in the last universe." Said Simon in a soft tone. "Did you do it because he was a jerk to his kids?"

Rainer twitched, which was all Simon needed to hear to understand what was going on. "Were your parents jerks to you too?"

Rainer tensed up the moment heard that. His ears went alert and his tail went stiff. Simon could hear a soft sniffle come out of Rainer, prompting the antiquarian to stand up.

"I'm sorry. That must've brought back some bad memories." Said Simon softly. "I'll convince the other me to get you out of there, I promise."

And with that, Simon left to talk with his alternate self leaving Rainer all alone in his cold cage in the winter kingdom to curl up into a ball all alone as little tear drops decorated his eyes.

It seemed that he would be stuck there all alone until Simon and the others got the crown. But that changed when Rainer heard an unfamiliar voice behind him.

"Ouch." It was the voice of a child. Rainer quickly turned around to see who it was. "Hi there, Mr wolf."

Marceline? Thought Rainer in confusion. In front of him was a child Marceline made of ice who was holding the original Marceline's bass axe. Rainer waved to the little girl awkwardly as she put her hands on the bars of his cage.

"I'm Marcy. What's your name?" Asked ice Marcy cheerfully only to be met awkward silence as Rainer fiddled with his fingers. "Hmm, can't talk? That's okay. We can talk in other ways."

Rainer heard this and remembered his tablet. He pulled it out from his pocket and wrote his name for little ice Marcy before approaching her and holding the tablet up for her.

Ice Marcy narrowed her eyes at the tablet. "Hmm..." she hummed intently. "nope, can't read."

Rainer frowned dejectedly as his ears fell to his head before he realized there was another way. He quickly got to drawing and drew a beautiful dark and rainy alleyway. He then showed Marceline the drawing.

"Dark and scary alleyway? Is that your name?" Asked Marcy tilting her head curiously only for Rainer to point at the clouds then the water drops. "Is it Dark clouds? Water drops? Rain?"

Rainer immediately nodded upon hearing the word Rain, causing Marcy to look surprised.

"Did you try to hurt Simon?" Asked Marcy curiously, only for Rainer to shake his head in confusion. "I once saw a Miss Wolf called Rain. She couldn't talk like you too. She even had a tablet like that one. But she was trying to hurt Simon so he sent her somewhere veeeery far away."

Rainer's shoulders dropped dejectedly as his ears fell onto his head. He curled up into a ball and tightly clutched his head. He felt horrible hearing that. Ice Marcy was probably talking about alternate him.

Even in this world I'm horrible. Rainer thought dejectedly. A horrible killer.

He was a monster. A terrible TERRIBLE monster. He hurt people. As he thought this, Marceline was trying to snap him out of it. Trying to comfort him. She tried to squeeze in between the bars as she reached out to Rainer.

But the moment her hand made contact with his face, Rainer freaked out and part of his wolf side kicked in leading to him biting Marcy's arm. The werewolf quickly jumped to the opposite side of the cage that Marceline fully slipped into a second later.

What have I done?! He thought in a panic as his breathing quickened, his ears going alert and his tail going stiff before he clutched his head. No no no no no!

"It's okay. It's just a scratch." Said ice Marceline cheerfully as she showed Rainer her bitten arm and that she was fine.

Rainer turned to Ice Marcy with a feeling of guilt clear on his face. The little ice girl saw this and pet the wolf on the head with a smile that told Rainer everything was alright, he didn't have to be sad anymore.

A while later

Marceline gasped as she sat next her bass to a smiling Rainer inside the cage. "You can make cartoons!?" She said excitedly as she stared at the tablet Rainer held which was playing a short animation of Ice Marceline playing the bass that Rainer made.

Rainer nodded as his tail wagged back and forth happily, causing Marceline's expression to brighten. "That's so cool!" She exclaimed with starry eyes.

Rainer felt happy to play with little Marceline. No judgement, no betrayal, no hidden motives and no hurt. Just fun. It felt nice and not empty, even if for a short while.

Ice Marcy also liked spending time with Rainer. But this made her turn to the bars of the cage they were both in and think really hard and very serious. "Hey, Rain? Do you wanna leave this cage?" She asked in a serious tone.

Rainer was surprised to hear that question. He thought about for a few seconds before patting little ice Marcy on the head.

"You wanna stay with me?" Asked Marcy calmly, prompting Rainer to nod. "That's what I wanted with Simon too. But he doesn't let me leave my room. He says it's dangerous outside. So it sometimes feels like I'm in a cage too. But I'm very sneaky, so I found my own ways to get outside. Like how I got to you."

Rainer frowned at this. Why would a Simon do this to a Marceline? Is it because she's a clone and something happened to the original? It still doesn't make it better.

"Then let's both leave our cages." Said Marcy cheerfully before she stood up and picked up her bass axe.

Rainer quickly realized what Marcy wanted to do as she got ready to swing her axe at the bars of the cage. It made him think about Marcy's question once again. Did he really want to leave this cage after what he'd done? He was a monster, right? So why was this little girl made of nothing but ice trying so hard to help him? His alternate self tried to kill her Simon and he himself was a killer, so why?

Maybe he shouldn't compare himself with an alternate self he never knew. Maybe he could control himself better next time and not take lives so easily. Maybe being free of this cage would be nice. Maybe...just maybe...he wanted to get out of this cage.

Rainer stared at his hands for a seconds before approaching Marcy and holding the axe with her. The little ice girl turned to Rainer and smiled before the two swung the axe together. The two started to break their cages together...one metal bar at a time. Until they were finally free.

"Hey, Rain? What will you do now that you're out?" Asked ice Marcy cheerfully. Rainer shrugged with a smile before pointing at ice Marcy. "Me? Hmm...I wanna go on an adventure!"

Rainer gave Marcy a thumbs up as the two began walking forwards. "I don't know why, but I'm feeling REALLY warm all of a sudden." Said Marcy cheerfully.

Rainer turned to Marceline thinking it was a fuzzy and nice thing to say before he noticed her body had started melting. The werewolf quickly panicked. What was happening?

Something cold! I need to put her somewhere cold! He thought looking all around him as the Winter Kingdom started to melt. There was nothing to cool her down.

"Hey, it's okay. You can put me in a jar and take me on an adventure that way." Said Ice Marceline cheerfully putting the hand that was bitten by Rainer on his cheek as she slowly melted into a puddle of water, causing Rainer's eyes to water.

No no no! This can't be happening! Thought Rainer as tears overflowed out of his eyes. Please don't die!

Marceline's body continued to melt in front of Rainer until...it stopped? Right when the melting reached the arm that was bitten by Rainer, it stopped even with the rest of Marceline's body being a mere puddle of water. The bite marks had glowed blue as the melting started to reverse.

And little ice Marcy was reborn as a little ice werewolf. She looked the same as she had before except now she had ice wolf ears atop her head and an ice tail. The bite marks were now nothing more than a visible scar. Before ice Marceline could admire her new ears and tail, she was met with a tight hug from tearful Rainer.

The little ice girl giggled before she hugged Rainer back. She was okay and that was all Rainer needed to know.

"Such a heartwarming scene." Said a familiar voice calmly, causing the two werewolves to turn around. It was the Scarab. "It almost brings me to tears."

He must've gotten out when the ice melted. Thought Rainer as he put Marcy on the ground and stood in front of her protectively before she started growling at the Scarab.

"Don't worry. I'm only after him." Said the Scarab calmly as he pulled out his silver rod while glaring at Rainer.

Rainer knew how durable the Scarab was. And with that silver rod, both he and Marcy were in danger. The only way to keep Marcy safe and not risk dying a painful death was to find Simon, Fionna and Cake.

Rainer transformed into his monster werewolf form and put Marcy who was holding her bass on his back before he started running away from the Scarab. He sniffed the air for the smell of his group and soon found them. They were at the crazy looking candy mountain in the distance.

Rainer ran on all fours before he quickly transformed into his wolf form as Scarab chased them ruthlessly.

"You're not getting away this time." Said Scarab as he pulled back his arm while holding the silver rod before launching the silver weapon at the two werewolves.

Marcy saw this and stood up on Rainer's back with her bas in her hands before swinging it as hard as she could like a bat, hitting the silver rod away like a baseball. She smiled at the Scarab and blew a raspberry in his face as he plucked the silver rod out of the air.

Rainer increased his size to cover more distance, but the Scarab saw this as an opportunity and threw the silver rod again.

"Shrink!" Yelled Marcy quickly, prompting Rainer to shrink quickly, letting the rod pass better him and Marceline who was still in the air before growing back to his previous size.

The Scarab picked the rod back up as he ran and tried again and again to throw it at Rainer and Marceline. But whether it was by jumping over it, ducking under it, by shrinking and having it pass between them or growing so large that it passed under them, the duo dodged every time.

And with enough perseverance, the duo made it to the candy mountain and inside all the way to where the others were.

Fionna was the first to notice Rainer and The Scarab. "SIMON!" She yelled in a panic.

Before Rainer could join Fionna and the others, he noticed Princess Bubblegum herself. With no time to admire seeing a character from the show he loved, he transformed into his monster werewolf form before putting Marceline on the ground and pointing at where PB was. Before ice Marceline could ask any questions, Rainer hurriedly jumped towards Fionna, Cake and Simon with Scarab right behind him before transforming into his wolf form and shrinking enough to land on Fionna's head just in time for all four of them to teleport into a different universe leaving Scarab to yell and writhe in anger.

But that didn't concern little ice Marcy as she headed to where Rainer told her to go. And there she saw the back of a lady she never met before. She decided to tug on the lady's dress to get her attention. The Lady turned to little ice Marceline before a shocked expression made its way onto her face.

"Rain told me to go somewhere here. Do you know where I'm supposed to go?" Asked Marcy innocently. "I'm Marceline, by the way."

It took all of Princess Bubblegum's will power to not tear up in front of the little ice werewolf. "Yeah. This is the place." She said with a soft smile as she picked Ice Marcy off the ground with a hug.

Little ice Marceline had a new, better home now.

Meanwhile, in another universe filled with babies.

Rainer layed on the soft pillow like ground with a calm expression as he stared at the sky. He thought back to what happened in the last universe, hoping that Little Marcy made it to PB safely.

Then he thought about what Fionna and the other had told him a minute before. Ice Simon was evil. Did his alternate self know that? Did she try to save everyone only to get killed by ice Simon?

Maybe I'm not as bad as I thought. Thought Rainer calmly with a tiny smile as Fionna approached him with a guilty expression.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you back there." She said dejectedly. "I shouldn't have let him put you in a cage like some sort of animal. It's okay if you don't wanna forgive me."

Rainer blinked. He never expected to get an apology. His tail wagged around cheerfully as he gave Fionna a thumbs up with a small smile indicating that he wasn't mad at all.

"Thanks, Werewolf Prince." Replied Fionna with a smile.

"Actually, this reminds me-" Simon cut in with a smile, approaching Rainer. "Rainer, Do you still have your family name? The bad one?"

Rainer was both surprised and uncomfortable by that question. He frowned before slowly nodding.

"Well, I was thinking...would you like to have mine instead? Be a Petrikov?" Asked Simon with an awkward smile, causing Rainer to freeze in shock. "I know it sounds weird, but maybe it'll help you remember that you're not with your old family anymore. That you're in a better place with better people now. And after I get cursed again, it'll be yours and yours alone."

Rainer didn't know what to say. It felt so weird, but it... wasn't bad. It was too nice. Rainer's tail wagged cheerfully as small tears decorated his eyes and cheeks before the werewolf nodded slowly with a sniffle. Simon smiled before The werewolf quickly hugged him with a small smile on his face.

This was the birth of Rainer Petrikov, The Werewolf Prince.

Simon now has an adopted vampire daughter and an adopted werewolf son. Man's about to become a whole orphanage of mythical creatures at this rate.

Also, a happy chapter for once! Yay!
