After calming down, Tanjuro returned to their room, and came face to face with his worried Son. "Father, why can I smell Nezuko's blood?" he asked immediately. Tanjuro placed his hands on Tanjiro's shoulders, "first, calm down, then I'll tell you, alright?" he asked. Tanjiro shuddered, but tried to calm his breathing. A few minutes later, he still looked worried, but he was much calmer. "Alright. I'm calm. Now, what happened to my little Sister?" he asked. "Nezuko got brought in a few minutes ago by the Kakushi. She has a deep gash in her side, that will need stitches. But the Doctor is taking care of her now, and she'll be fine" Tanjuro said, much more calmly than he felt.
Perhaps that was a mistake. With Tanjiro's sense of smell, surly he knew just how worried he was. Tanjuro took a deep breath, falling back into his Selfless State, as his emotions calmed. When he opened his eyes again, he was as calm as he was before his daughter was brought in. "Nezuko will be fine" he said, and now Tanjiro relaxed. He nodded, "alright Father. I believe you" he said. "Let's go to bed. You are hurt after all" Tanjuro said, patting his Eldest Son on the head. As they entered the room they were staying in, the Kamado's came face-to-face with Zenitsu. "Um, I'm sorry. I know it's rude to eavesdrop, but I have enhanced hearing, so I couldn't help it.
Your Sister is hurt right, Tanjiro? I'm sure the Doctor will do everything he can for her" the blond reassured Tanjiro. Tanjuro smiled, and pat the older boy on the head, "thank you Zenitsu. You have a kind heart. My daughter will be fine, don't worry" he said kindly. Zenitsu smiled slightly, before looking over at Kie's box, "so, your Mom is a Demon too, right Tanjiro?" he asked, as Tanjuro settled himself down for watch duty. "Yeah. She and Father were home and got attacked and turned into Demons. But neither of them has ever hurt anyone. They're still really kind" Tanjiro replied softly.
After that, there was silence for a moment, before the blond teen spoke up again, "I'm glad that you still have your family, Tanjiro" he said, before falling asleep.

A few hours later, Tanjuro got up and decided to check on the children. He checked on Haruka and the Siblings first, since they were in the same room. All four were sleeping soundly. Next he quietly went to check on his daughter. He could no longer smell blood coming from Nezuko, and she also didn't smell like death. Tanjuro let out a sigh of relief at this. His daughter seemed to be stable at least. As he left the room so that Nezuko could sleep, the Demon decided to write a letter to Kanae. Then he would take Haruka to Urokodaki's house.
Going to the Owner of the Wisteria House, Tanjuro asked for materials to write a letter. "Of course dear. Just let me get those for you" the old lady agreed. After a few minutes Tanjuro had the writing materials. He smiled, "thank you Ma'am" he replied with a bow. Then he left to go back to his room. "Alright, so I need to let Miss Kanae know about Kyoshi, Shoichi and Teruko, so she can pick them up. I hope they'll be okay working at the Butterfly Estate" he decided. The Kamado Patriarch began writing: 'Dear Miss Kanae, I have recently found three children on my latest Mission. The Oldest Brother is a Marechi, and I thought you could take them into your care to protect them. The Siblings have no Parents, as they died last year. Knowing that they'll be safe with you will help a lot. I would send them to Urokodaki, but there are already a lot of children there.
The rest of my own, along with the seven Shinazugawa Siblings and their Demon Mother, and I'll be taking a little girl named Haruka to live there as well. Three extra children would be too much on top of that. If you wouldn't mind, could these Siblings go live with you?
Regards, Tanjuro Kamado'. Tanjuro finished the letter and called his Crow. The bird flew into his room and the Demon secured the letter to his leg, "take it to the Butterfly Estate please, to Miss Kanae" he asked. "Of course Tanjuro" the Crow replied, as he turned and flew out of the window. He sighed as he stood up, "alright, now I have to take Haruka back to Urokodaki's," he paused in thought, "maybe I should write to Lady Tamayo to explain about Yukito" he pondered.
"But, how will I send it? Is their cat nearby?" Tanjuro sighed, "I suppose that could wait. But speaking of Yukito, I should go check on him" he decided, and stood up. As he left the building, Tanjuro wondered how far away Urokodaki's house was from here. 'I don't want to take too long, with Nezuko hurt. After everyone is recovered, we should go back to visit everyone for a while. A proper visit' he decided. Then another thought occurred to him, 'I wonder how Miss Shizu is doing? I hope she's retained enough humanity to recognise her children. After all, Mr Yukito retained his humanity' Tanjuro thought.
He entered the forest around the house, looking around for anyone nearby. Deciding that they were safe, he called out: "Mr Yukito? Are you here?" Tanjuro asked. The black and purple-haired Demon stepped out of the trees, his grey eyes glinting silver in the sunlight. "Is everything alright Lord Tanjuro?" Yukito asked. "Please, just call me Tanjuro, or Mr Kamado if you really want to" Tanjuro held up his hands. Yukito frowned, "but you saved my life Lord Tanjuro! It would be disrespectful of me to call you anything else!" the other Demon replied. Tanjuro nodded, not wanting to upset the young man, "Yukito tell me, have you had any cravings for human flesh or blood since I turned you?" he asked.
Yukito frowned, "well, yesterday, for a few seconds, the most amazing scent I'd ever smelled hit me. I almost followed it, but I realised that the smell was coming from the Wisteria House, so it must be a human patient. So, I went further into the forest to get away from the smell" he explained. Tanjuro crossed his arms in thought, 'Yesterday. That must have been when the Doctor checked over Kyoshi's wound and retreated it. I was too busy thinking about everything that I would have to do to notice it' he realised. "I see," he said out loud. He then turned back to his Demon.
That was weird to think about, the fact that this young man was a Demon that he'd created. He hoped that Miss Tamayo had an explanation for this random ability. And that Miss Rei was doing well since she'd become a Demon. Tanjuro shook his head, he was getting distracted. He focused back on Yukito, "I have a job for you Yukito," he began, as the other Demon perked up. "I need you to stay here and keep an eye on everyone, while I take Haruka to Mr Urokodaki. Just in case. Is that alright?" Tanjuro asked. The black and purple-haired Demon nodded firmly, "you can count on me Sir! I promise I won't let anything happen to any of them!" Yukito said in determination.
Tanjuro smiled gently, making the other Demon become more determined. "Thank you. I believe in you Yukito" he replied. Then, as he entered the Wisteria House, a meow caught his attention. He looked down at his feet, where Tamayo and Yuhiro's cat sat. "Oh, you're here. I have a letter for Miss Tamayo, if you don't mind delivering it" Tanjuro asked. The cat jumped up onto his shoulder and vanished with a meow. He could still feel it on his shoulder, so he calmly walked into his room, where it meowed again and reappeared. The cat jumped down onto the floor, as Tanjuro got his letter and placed it into his bag.
"Thank you again for your help" he said, stroking his head and hearing the cat purr back at him. Tanjuro opened his window, and the cat jumped outside with another meow, once again turning invisible. Tanjuro sighed, "well, that's done," he glanced towards the door, "I should take Haruka back to Urokodaki's, but-" he clenched his fists, images of Tanjiro and Nezuko flashing in his mind, "my children are hurt. Can I just leave them here?" he wondered. The Demon shook his head, 'they'll be fine. I need to let them rest and heal. Besides, Kie and Yukito are both here too.' Tanjuro took a deep breath, and let it out, "I should be more worried about how upset my other children will be when I tell them I have to leave again" he spoke to himself.
He walked towards the room where the four children were, and knocked on the door. "Come in" That was Kyoshi's voice. Tanjuro opened the door, smiling as he saw then look up from some drawings they were doing together. "Mr Kamado!" the two little girls cried at the same time. "Hey, how are you all doing?" Tanjuro asked. "The Grandma here is really nice! She gave us some stuff to draw with!" Haruka replied cheerfully. Tanjuro smiled gently, rubbing both of their heads, "that is nice of her. Did you say thank you to the nice Grandma?" he asked. "Yes!" Haruka replied with a smile. "We did" Shoichi said from his seat at the table.
"Good job," Tanjuro knelt down in front of Haruka, "I was wondering if you were ready for me to take you home yet? I have time to do it now, so I can take you" he asked her. "Already? But-" the little girl looked over at the three Siblings, who she'd obviously become very close to in the time they'd been here. "You can all send each other letters, and Mr Urokodaki has lots of other kids staying with him, including the rest of mine. I'm sure they'd all be so happy to meet and make friends with you Haruka" Tanjuro said warmly. Haruka glanced over to the bag with her Mother's Wedding Kimono in it, "before we go, can I write a letter to my Mother? To let her know how I am, and ask how she is?" she asked. "Of course you can. Come with me Haruka" Tanjuro picked the little girl up, as she wrapped her arms around his neck to hold on.
He felt Tamayo's cat move onto his head, with his back paws resting on the back of his Uniform. Reaching his room, Tanjuro placed Haruka down onto the floor, feeling the cat jump down onto the tatami next to them. "Okay, do you want me to write the letter after you tell me what you want to say?" the Demon man asked. "Yes please" the little girl replied.

After Haruka wrote her letter, Tanjuro wrote his. 'Dear Miss Tamayo. I don't know if you are already aware of this Ma'am, but I appear to be able to create Demons as well. On my latest Mission, I encountered a seriously wounded young man. After he agreed, I gave him some of my blood. I didn't know if it would work, or if it would kill him, but I figured that he would either turn, which would save his life, or he would die, which he would have anyway. It did work, and now that young man, Yukito, is a Demon under my command. He doesn't seem to need to eat anything, like myself, and he is also immune to sunlight.
I don't intend to create many Demons either. But if I can save someone in front of me by doing so, then I will. Mr Yukito is completely in control of himself, and seems content to obey my orders. I thought you should know about this. Regards, Tanjuro Kamado.' As he finished his letter, Tanjuro turned towards Haruka, "what are you putting in your letter Haruka?" he asked kindly. "I'm letting her know that I've made some new friends." She said with a smile. Tanjuro smiled at her gently, "I'm sure she'd be happy to hear you've made some new friends. Even if she can't react to it yet" he replied.
Haruka looked down sadly. "What's wrong Haruka?" Tanjuro asked with a frown. "Do you think Mother will ever become human again?" she asked anxiously, crumpling her letter slightly as she gripped it. Tanjuro sighed and brought the little girl in for a hug, "she will. Miss Tamayo is working very hard to create a cure for all of us. Your Mother, my Wife and I, Mrs Shinazugwa. All of us will become human again. So don't worry. You have to be careful and not get hurt, so your Mother won't be worried about you when she sees you again. Okay?" he asked gently. Haruka clenched her eyes shut as tears welled in them. She gripped tightly onto Tanjuro's Haori, before she began sobbing loudly.

Later that day, Tanjuro had Haruka in his arms, the little girl gripping the bag with her Mother's Wedding Kimono in her arms. He had already said goodbye to everyone, including Nezuko, who was now awake and drinking broth. "Okay. Hold on tight to me Haruka" Tanjuro warned, before he sped off down the road. 'Now that Nezuko is awake, and Tanjiro is healing well, maybe I could stay at Urokodaki's with everyone for a while' he thought. Making up his mind, the Demon smiled, looking forward to seeing the rest of his children again.
