The screen flickered for a bit before the author appeared.

*Hey guys Hakuorofan7 here and welcome back to another chapter of the Curious Shadow of Fairy Tail.*

*Let's keep things short, but this chapter is basically Lucy's and Finnean's introduction to the guild of Fairy Tail, with the latter forging some connections before they and Natsu depart the guild to look for a missing guild member.*

*Hope that you all will enjoy it, but first the disclaimers.*

*First, I do not own Fairy Tail or Pokémon.*

*Secondly just sit back, relax, maybe put some music on, and enjoy. I'll see you all at the end of the chapter.*

The author snapped his fingers, getting the screen to turn to static as the chapter begins.

Fairy Tail

(Outside of Magnolia - Next Morning)

"No wait...not again..." Lucy muttered in her sleep, shifting in her sleeping bag before groaning and seeing a fleck of what looked like a pink cloud floating above her head.

Blinking before seeing more such clouds floating above her, picking herself up to see them fading away.

And that Finnean was standing above her, him stepping back as she came to her senses.

Freaking out and nearly striking him as Finnean sunk into his cloak, it rustling against her strike before he reappeared.

"My apologies Lucy you asked to wake you all up early enough or incase of a nightmare." He said, getting Lucy to blink before looking a little sheepish.

Right she did ask him that as they made camp for the night, both tired and eager to join Fairy Tail the next day. He did also warn her about his magic affected dreams.

Just she didn't expect to be woken up like that!

"Don't stand over me like that again in my sleep please!" Lucy said, getting Finnean to nod as he began to walk over to Happy. "So I was having one..."

"Being stuck in a tidal wave by what looked like a very angry mermaid, your Celestial spirit from last night?" Finnean asked as his visible turned red.

"Yes, Aquarius is her name." Lucy said with a shudder as he placed a hand on Happy's head and pulled a shadowy version of the cat.

It was kind of erie to look at, especially as the shadow turned into a sphere. Bursting into pink clouds that Finnean began to suck them in.

Happy woke up with a stir, before stretching like...well a cat.

"So did they have a taste?" Happy asked curiously.

"Yes, and it was fish." Finnean said as he picked went to pick up a stick.

"What kind of fish?" Happy asked while tilting his head.

"Koi, butterflyfish, goby, and flounder." Finnean said, getting the cat to grin.

"Aye!" He cheered, getting Lucy to hold back a laugh. He did ask Finnean about it last night...

Wait a minute...

"Saltwater and fear." Finnean said while looking at her. "Thought that you were going to ask."

She just nodded as a dark circle appeared in the palm of his hand, a small knife with a small red lacrima at the hilt.

"Planning on waking up Natsu with that?" Lucy asked at Finnean nodded. Pressing his finger against the lacrima and struck the edge of the stick, creating a slowly growing ember.

"Tried Dream Eater on him first...he dreamed entirely of fire." Finnean said before placing the stick next to Natsu who began to stir awake.

Finnean emptied his entire water bottle before his mouth no longer felt like it was burning.

Lucy winced at that before Natsu sucked up the fire, yawning and stretching.

"Not the best meal, but a good morning snack." He said as Finnean dropped the knife into his shadow. "Anyway we're not that far from Magnolia, let's go!"

He started to pack his things up while Finnean did the same using his shadows, while Happy just munched on a fish. Lucy just smiled as she did the same.

They were so close to Fairy Tail now, after a year of traveling she could finally join them.

(A while later)

Here we are!" Happy said, his arm spread wide as both Lucy and Finnean looked on in awe at Magnolia.

The town was much larger than Hargeon and nested inbetween mountains with a massive lake at its edge, large canals and roadways intertwined and going through a majority of the town.

Finnean looked eager at all the places to explore in the town, it looked so much more sprawling than Haregeon. It would probably take weeks to fully explore it.

Lucy eyes sparkled when she spotted a large pagoda like building on the lake's shore. It looked so small from where they were, but she never felt happier to be so close to it.

The Fairy Tail guild hall, it looked as spectacular as she hoped it to be.

So close yet so far...

"Come on let's-" Natsu said with a grin before the sound of a church bell went off, getting him to wince. "Great, just great."

"What?" Finnean said, before hearing more bells going off.

It sounded like the bell from the bell tower in Hargeon Town...which Natsu had knocked down with Bora. Finnean figured he should probably give Natsu some more words on that later. But there was a difference between the bell there and in Magnolia.

The bell continued ringing after the time to mark the hour, instead it started to sound like music.

Both Finnean and Lucy looked for the source, seeing the source was a large rectangular building in the center of Magnolia with a green roof and multiple towers at the corner. A bell tower at the entrance yet it didn't seemed to be ringing.

Yet the sound of bells continued to persist, both Finnean and Lucy seemed to be enjoying that.

"I take it that this is some cathedral?" He asked Lucy, getting her to nod.

"Kardia Cathedral, one of the three great cathedrals of Zentopia in Fiore. Aside from Fairy Tail it is one of the biggest attractions in Magnolia. But I never heard out having this before?" Lucy said as the bells started to die down, much to Finnean's disappointed.

"It's something added months ago, testing it once or twice a week." Happy said with a shrug.

"We've hardly heard it since they set those bells up thankfully, can't get rid of the ringing out of my ears afterwards." Natsu said while looking annoyed.

Smacking his hand against his ear to try and drown out the noise.

Lucy seemed to be lost in thought for a few moments before the music ended, smiling at the lingering tune from the bells.

"Carillon, it's a carillon." Lucy said, getting Finnean to look at her. "They had one in the church in Campanula Town, I visited it a few months ago. I don't know all the details, but it has a bunch of suspended bells with a keyboard or larcrima to create the largest type of instrument in Earthland. Yet this sounds much bigger than that one."

"I would imagine given the size of Magnolia." Finnean said, a small smile on his face.

The order of the carillon had sounded pretty soothing to him... yet it sounded like it could be more. Happy had been said that they have been testing it.

At least he now had another place he wished to travel to one day, if only to hear another carillon.

"Well I could care less what it is." Natsu said before grinning. "As I was saying, come on! We're almost there!"

"Aye!" Happy cheered out as he spread his wings and followed Natsu who began to rushed ahead.

"Wait for us!" Lucy called out, running after them.

Finnean shook his head with a small smile on his face, looking over at Kardia Cathedral once again before sinking into his shadow to catch up to the others.

(Fairy Tail Guildhall - 20 minutes later)

After walking through the bustling streets of Magnolia the group finally arrived infront of the pagoda like guild building of Fairy Tail.

"Wow it sure is big!" Lucy said, admiring the building. Seeming to beam with excitement that was shared with the rest of the group.

Minus one member.

"Finnean are you nervous?" She asked, the cloaked mage shaking a little and constantly looking over the building.

"No, just I could feel Bad Dreams activating from somewhere in there but I can't tell where it is coming from." Finnean said, such a thing never happening before.

He had plenty of practice reigning in Bad Dreams in Haregeon to avoid plaguing the entire town in horrific nightmares. Enough so he could have enough gauge connection of the magic affecting others and quashing its effects.

Yet he could feel it being affecting someone, just not a connection of any sorts.

A new yet strange experience for him.

"Maybe someone tried to out drink Cana again?" Happy suggested as he flew past Natsu.

"Wouldn't be surprised, but maybe it's someone's magic. Probably someone in the infirmary." Natsu suggested.

"Perhaps." Finnean said while regaining his composure, brushing the issue out of his mind.

There was plenty of different magic out there, it would be possible for some to disrupt Bad Dreams or other dream magic. If Finnean learned who then he would ask them.

If only to finally be able to turn Bad Dreams off and on.

"Anyway welcome to Fairy Tail!" Happy cheered as Natsu and him approached the guild's doors.

Before kicking it wide open!

"We're back!" Natsu and Happy declared, getting the attention of the entire guild.

"Yo!"

"What's up!"

"Welcome back!"

"Hey!" The various mages chorused out as the group entered into the guild.

Both Lucy and Finnean looked in awe at all the different mages in the guild, milling about, some at a board full of what they be guest to be for jobs, and some just sitting around and enjoying a meal.

To Finnean it resembled more of a pub back at Haregeon and he was sure this is what the main area was for, yet like there it held quite the lively atmosphere. Brining a small smile to his face.

"Natsu! Happy! Welcome back! I see you brought some new faces back this time." He heard someone call out, but he couldn't find the source of the voice through the chorus of the guild and members starting to crowd around them.

Lucy looked elated while taking in the sights while Natsu approached a table with two mages. One with bucked teeth and the other with triangle shaped hair.

"Natsu you really went overboard this time!" The buck toothed mage shouted out while laughing. "We read in the paper that you destroyed half of Hargeon harbor-"

Whatever else he was going to say was cut off by Natsu dive kicking him into the table, and the table next to it.

"Why!" Lucy exclaimed while Finnean looked blandly at the scene.

This was going to turn into a brawl, wasn't it.

"That information about Salamander was all lies!" Natsu shouted as the mage picked himself up.

"I just told you what I heard, that's all!" The mage shouted, only enraging Natsu.

"What you say! You want to go!" Natsu shouted before lunging at the buck toothed mage, sending him flying into several tables and knocking several other guild members flying as well.

"Now, now Natsu. This isn't something to get-" Happy tried to say, but was cut off when someone crashed into him.

Causing him to go flying off into a table full of mage, smacking them in the face before landing on the wall.

Like Finnean had thought, the entire first floor of the guild had broken into a massive brawl with fists and magic flying anywhere.

He just looked at the chaos unfolding in front of him flatly while Lucy looked in wonder.

"Somebody stop Natsu!" One of the mages shouted from the crowd.

"Duck for cover! Happy's dive bombing us from the air!" Another cried out.

"Aye!" Said cat yelled from the crowd.

"It's incredible." Lucy said looking at the guild. "I'm really here in Fairy Tail."

"Well it's certainly something." Finnean said while shaking his head, a small smile gracing his face. "At least it looks like things won't be stale here."

"So Natsu's back?" Someone said from their side.

Both Lucy and Finnean turned to see who. Lucy promptly freaking out at seeing him almost completely naked!

He was a young man who looked around Natsu's age with spikey black hair, dark colored eyes, a black Fairy Tail guild mark on his right pectoral, a silver chain necklace with a sword in stone at the end, and was wearing only black boxers with silver stripes running along the side.

"We're going to finish this! You hear!" He shouted before he began to approach the brawl.

"Gray...your clothes." Someone said to him.

Finnean and Lucy turned to see at one of the few intact tables left from the brawl a young woman with slightly tanned skin, dark purple eyes, and long wavy brown hair with two bangs framing her face. She wore very little to hide her figure with a blue bikini top, capri pants, bands on her shins and biceps, three metal bracelets on her right wrist, and a black Fairy Tail mark on her abdomen.

A glass of alcohol in hand and sitting next to what Finnean presumed to be an entire barrel filled with it.

"Oh damn it!" Gray cursed out as he continued to walk towards the brawl, this time more observant to his surroundings.

"That's why they say the men here have no class. It's sickening." The woman said...before grabbing the barrel and drinking from it to Lucy's shock.

Finnean measly tilted his head to the side, not expecting to see someone drinking that much in a single go.

Before remembering something Happy had mentioned before they entered the guild.

"Excuse me are you Cana?" Finnean asked, getting the woman to pause her drink and put the barrel down.

"Yes, what's it to you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Not much, just heard that you were the biggest drinker in Fairy Tail." Finnean said, well at least he figured it was.

Cana smirked at that and raised her barrel with one hand easily.

"You heard right, welcome to Fairy Tail you two. Also you might want to duck blonde." Cana said.

Before Lucy could ask what she meant as Cana resumed her drinking, a pair of shadowy hands pulled her back as Gray crashed into the floor where she had just been.

"Put some damn clothes on before you fight!" Natsu called out from the crowd.

"You're going to get it Natsu!" Gray shouted as he remembered the fray.

"Thanks for that." Lucy sighed out as the shadow hands sunk back into Finnean's shadow.

"No problem." He said.

"This is disgusting, all this whining and crying before noon. What a bunch of babies." Someone said to their right.

The both of them turned to see the speaker was a towering spikey white haired man with a stitched up scar going from under one on his blue eyes. He wore a buttoned up dark colored jacket, loose pants, and wooden sandles.

For some reason Finnean didn't know why, but the man reminded him of a white and grey furred bipedal bear. Minus having a shoot of bamboo in his mouth.

"You shouldn't be screaming and making noise continuously, a real man only talks with his fists!" He yelled out before running into the brawl.

"He's only encouraging them..." Lucy said in exasperation.

"And he didn't last more than a few moments." Finnean said as the towering man was flung into the air by both Natsu and Gray.

He noticed a table flying their way.

Before his shadow could move, someone jumped over them.

"I got it!" He said, slamming a fist into the table and sending it flying back into the crowd.

The mage landed infront of both to reveal a young teen who looked a little longer than most of the mages in the brawl. He had spikey orange hair with a red headband tied beneath some of his bangs and a somewhat short yet muscular frame. Wearing a red sleeveless vest with a fur collar, dark shin length trousers, toeless shoes, and fingerless red gloves, and wearing black and red metallic gauntlets on his forearms.

"You both okay?" He asked with a smile.

"Y-Yes/We're fine." Both Lucy and Finnean said, getting him to nod.

"Nice one Yui, you got Natsu." Gray said, having the triangled haired mage from earlier in a headlock.

Yui proceeded to looked sheepish at hearing that.

"Well he is only going to get more fired up now..." He said before turning to the pair. "Welcome to Fairy Tail, and it should be the safest around the bar."

Yui than pulled back his fist before jumping into the brawl.

"He's right on that, messing with the source of alcohol and food is not a good idea in a brawl. Perfect way to get booted out." Finnean said.

"And how do you know that?" Lucy questioned as they walked around the edge of the brawl.

"Captain threw me into a pub brawl a few times, saying best way to learn self defense without using magic and without training." Finnean said with a shrug.

Sure James and Rick gave him some pointers, it didn't take long for him to get the hang of things. Just a matter of learning how to avoid a hit.

Took being thrown into four brawls before he was the only one standing or not kicked out that the captain said he got the basics down.

"That actually makes some sense." Lucy said with a sweat drop.

She heard quite a few people teach by that mentality.

"My what a racket." She heard from further down the wall, looking and nearly having stars in her eyes.

With the speaker being another young man with spikey orange hair, sunglasses, a green coat with fur around the hood, dark pants, and sneakers. And with a different woman on each arm as well.

"It's Loke! One of the highest ranked men on 'Most Eligible Wizards' in Sorcerer Weekly!" Lucy said, before her expression turned sour when she noticed the women hanging around his arms.

Not caring as a stray coaster struck his head.

Settling the two women down before turning back to them with a thumbs up.

"I'm going to mix it up, just for you all!" Loke said before joining the fray.

"Good luck!" The women cried out as Lucy pulled out a magazine and marker.

Staring blandly at the mage as a pair of shadowy hands grabbed her shoulders and Finnean began to gently pull her along.

"Okay he is going off my list." Lucy said, crossing off Loke's picture before sighing and looking at the chaos unfolding in the guild. "But man, look at this. Is there a single serious mage in this place?"

"Perhaps there is, but it looks like this is their way of letting off steam. At least that is what I think." Finnean said, retracting his shadow as he dragged Lucy to the safety of the bar.

"Your theory wouldn't be that much further off, my brother does love to get into a good scrap every now and then. And miss most of us have our serious days." A voice said from next to them.

Finnean turned and Lucy hide behind him with a yelp to see a mage sitting on the bar stool, looking up from the book he was levitating infront of him.

The mage was a young man with long lavender hair and piercing violet eyes. He was a rather sharply dressed with a black and red suit jacket, red vest, gray pants, black shoes, and a bolo tie with a blue gem.

Resting on the counter was a thick book with multiple red bookmarks sticking out of the pages, with what looked like blades on the corners with a dark purple surrounding a red square.

"S-Sorry." Lucy said taking a step back as the mage shrugged.

"No issue, welcome to Fairy Tail. I'm Schoena." He answered curtly.

"Finnean." The cloaked mage said in return.

"I'm Lucy." She said before blinking. "Wait isn't your brother's name Yui?"

"Some one say my name?" Said mage called out from the crowd.

"They did one of the new members Natsu brought in, and to your left." Schoena said.

Yui extended his fist to the left, the gauntlet making a click sound before a thrown barstool came sailing towards his head. Releasing a blur and static noise that reduced said flying furniture into a cloud of splinters.

"Close one, thanks bro!" Yui said with a cheerful smile as he kept back into the brawl.

"No problem...just you could have just smack it away." Schoena said while shaking his head before turning to face the two new members. "Apologies, but I take it that you've heard of us before?"

"Natsu told us a little about you both yesterday." Finnean said, getting Schoena to quirk an eyebrow.

"I would expect Yui, but not myself. We don't interact much." He said.

"Just show how much he cares about everyone in the guild. But he can be full of surprises, like brining in a pair of newcomers." A soft voice said from behind Lucy and Finnean.

With Lucy immediately gaining hearts in her eyes.

"Mirajane! In the flesh!" Lucy said excitedly, seemingly not noticing Finnean curiously looking at her eyes.

He didn't know she had an eye based illusion magic?

Mirajane just giggled before Finnean turned to look at her as Lucy began to regain her composure.

She was a young woman who looked a little older than Lucy and just around Finnean's height with long white hair and dark blue eyes. Wearing a sleeveless maroon dress with a pink trim and large pink now on her chest and a chain necklace with a blue gemstone set on it.

Both Finnean and Mirajane looked at each other as she frown briefly before shaking her head.

"Is everything alright?" Finnean asked as Mirajane smiled.

"Nothing, but you seemed familiar." Mirajane said with a smile.

"Were you thinking of a mirror, cause I think I could see why." Schoena said as he flipped the page in his book. Lucy's eyes widening in surprise.

Both Finnean and Mirajane looking at each other, tilting their heads at each other. Despite the whole gender difference both where around the same height, long white hair with a slight curling in the hair, and blue eyes while Finnean's were a lighter coloration and the white cat like pupil, and a few other features.

Lucy blinked and saw Finnean's in Mirajane's place and vice versa.

"Wow, I think I can see the resemblance." 'Finnean' said with a smile in Mirajane's voice, a wide smile on their face.

"Indeed." 'Mirajane' said in Finnean's voice before dispersing their transformations much to Lucy's relief.

"Excuse me, should someone be doing something about this?" Lucy said, pointing towards the chaos of the brawl.

With seeing Natsu repeating slamming a table on someone among other things.

"This happens all the time. It's best just to let them run its course." Mirajane said, smiling while observing the chaos unfolding.

"R-Really?" Lucy said in shock.

"Of course It's-" Mirajane tried to say, but was interrupted as a shadow tendril extended past her to catch a flying bottle. "Thank you. Anyway, it's-"

She was cut off again, instead by the towering man from earlier crashing into both her and Finnean to Lucy's shock.

"It's fun isn't it." Mirajane said with a smile, before passing out.

"Mirajane, Finnean!" Lucy called out, the latter emerging from the towering man's shadow. Clutching his head with a groan.

"I'm alright, though my ears are ringing..." He groaned out, his shadows prying the man off of Mirajane and setting her on a bar stool.

"Give her a minute, she'll be up in no time like nothing happened." Schoena said as he turned the page in his book. "Though things are getting out of hand again."

"You think!" Lucy exclaimed before jumping back as Gray crashed into the floor infront of her...completely naked. With Natsu twirling his boxers and cackling before tossing them onto the floor.

"Damn it Natsu!" Gray browned out as he strok to the freaking out Lucy. "Do you mind if you can lend me your underwear?"

Her fist promptly met his face, the face sending him back into the crowd.

"You don't ask people that!" Lucy roared out, before she found herself being picked up into someone's arms. "Huh?"

"How unsightly I cannot understand the indecency of these men sometimes. Y the way are you a model?" Loke asked with a smirk, carrying Lucy away.

"What is going on here?" She asked thoroughly confused.

Before Loke could answer, the towering man punched out Loke. Causing her to fall to the ground.

A shadow billowed out to act as a cushion as it pulled her back to the pub. Lucy letting out a sigh of relief as she sat herself on a bar stool.

"Thanks for that Finnean." She sighed out.

"No problem." Finnean said with a curt nod before noticing someone being pushed out of the crowd.

Looking like that they were about to fall, Finnean extended some shadowy tendrils as he caught them and brought them back to the pub.

"You alright?" Finnean asked the mage.

"I'm fine, thank you." The mage said, a young woman around his height with long violet hair tied back with a red ribbon and brown eyes behind oval lensed glasses. She wore a light colored coat with a red ribbon under the collar, dark pants, and boots.

"Laki, usually you don't get caught up in these brawls." Schoena said as he closed the floating book.

"I was trying to flank the dispute, but someone threw Natsu into me. And it keeps getting heated." Laki said, getting Finnean to tilt his head while trying to figure what she was saying.

"So things are getting crazy and you were trying to get away." Finnean said, getting Laki to nod.

"Yes, now stand back." She said, a green glow spreading from her hands.

Looking around the guild the brawl had died down as everyone began to use magic, drawing items, or transforming parts of their body.

"They're going to fight with magic!" Lucy yelled out, somehow gotten a hold of Happy and was using him as a shield.

"Aye." Happy said, uncaring about being used as a shield.

"Aye nothing!" Lucy shouted at him before noticing a large shadow over the guild.

Blinking she looked at Finnean, only to see him looking up. Following his gaze, she dropped Happy in shock.

"This is the end you dolts! Cut it out!" A giant easily at least two stories tall shouted, his body obscured by shadows.

"A giant!" Lucy shouted in shock while Finnean kept his gaze on the giant. Wondering if he could replicate the effect with his own shadows.

Still it seemed like his mere presence caused all of the fighting to stop.

"So you were here Master." Mirajane said happily, getting both new members to look at her now awake.

"Master?" Lucy shouted as Finnean looked to see all of the damage in the build and the mages standing down.

"That would make sense." Finnean said with a shrug.

Hearing laughing to see Natsu in the middle of the guild, waving his still flaming fist in the air.

"You are all scared of that. Then at claim victory!" Natsu cheered, before promptly being flattened underneath the Guild Master's foot.

"He kind of asked for it." Finnean said, getting Schoena and Laki to nod in agreement.

"A pair of new recruites then?" The Guild Master said as he turned to face Finnean and Lucy.

"Yes/Y-Yes." They both responded, Lucy flinching back in fear.

With a loud groan the giant began to contort on himself, becoming smaller in size. Lucy started at the figure in fear before that began to fade away as the giant showed his true form.

A very short old man with a thick mustache. Wearing much more casual clothes than Finnean expected from a Guild Master including a blue and orange jester hat.

"Glad to have you two on board!" He said warmly extending his hand with a smile.

Finnean stared at it for a moment before shaking the Guild Master's hand.

"Likewise." He said with a small smile.

"He's tiny." Lucy said under her breath as Finnean pulled back from the Guild Master. "And wait, of you're the master..."

"That's right, this is Fairy Tail's Guild Master Makarov." Mirajane said as said Guild Master jumped into the air and began to flip towards the second floor railing. Both Finnean and Lucy winced as the man smacked his head on the railing and missed the landing.

Makarov groaned as sprawled out on the railing, trying to right himself up before pulling out a rolled up piece of parchment. Coughing into his hand like he meant to do that.

Finnean looked around, seeing that no one bought it.

But all the attention was now focused on the Guild Master.

"You rascals have gone and done it again!" Makarov shouted down to he guild. Unfurling the parchment which turned out to be a large stack of paper. "Just look at all the paperwork the Council has sent me for your messes! They're all complaints. All you brats do is get the Council mad at me!"

Finnean and Lucy looked around as a majority of the mages looked at the floor, contemplating the Guild Master's words before clearing his throat to get their attention.

"However..." Makarov trailed off before the papers in his hand caught fire. "Screw the Council!, they can eat crap for I care!"

"Eh!" Lucy said in shock as he tosse the burning paper into the air.

Only for Natsu to jump up and catch them in his mouth, beginning to munch away at them.

"Listen, ours is a power born beyond the bounds of reason. But it is born of reason itself. Magic isn't just some miracle. What we do is match the spirit that flows between us with the wavelength of the world's natural energy. And take what is embodied in that union through a strong mind and focus! In fact magic is the pouring out of one's soul! One can not progress in the way of magic by being mindful of the watchful eyes from above! So don't be afraid of those idiots on the Council! Just follow the path you truly believe in!" Makarov declared.

In the guild there was a beginning of an uproar, the various mages smile in or smirking as a clam out of sounds steadily grew in the air.

Lucy looked excited at the building atmosphere while Finnean smiled.

Follow the path you believed in...seems like he chartered the right course.

"That's what it means to be a Fairy Tail wizard!" Makarov shouted out, raising his right hand with the thumb and index finger extended.

An action copied by most of the members of Fairy Tail as the building uproar had been unleashed into a massive cheer, echoing throughout the guild building.

Lucy looked around in awe while Finnean smiled at the scene infront him.

He could guess...this is perhaps what it would be like to be in a guild then.

(Half an hour later)

"So that's why Natsu told us about you, it would make sense." Yui said as he sat across from Finnean at a table. Both Schoena and Laki were at the table reading books.

It only took a few minutes for everything on the first floor to be put back together, Schoena mainly helping. Finnean was unsure of what exact magic he used outside of a silent mutter. Yet what looked like strings of text wrapped around most of the damaged stools and tables were fixed.

Before some of them fell to pieces, apparently having been broke enough.

Anyway it seemed like everyone in the guild was more used to putting things back together after trashing the guild. Aided by a surplus of furniture in the basement.

Even if things was calmed down the guild seemed to be bursting with activity.

So much so he didn't know what to do with at first.

Lucy mainly went to talk with Mirajane and to get her guild mark.

Natsu, while was stay clear from Natsu after a few stray embers from the dragon slayer's literal fiery meal almost caught his cloak on fire.

So he caught up to Schoena and Laki again at a quieter portion of the guild, joined by Yui taking about a quest he had done before inventing to join. After talking to the three for a bit the group sometimes gather where it was quieter to read or get caught up in a spontaneous brawl.

Finnean could see some of the appeal from that somewhat and interact with others around them. A member named Max stopped by to welcome him to Fairy Tail and asked Laki to go on a quest but declined, having just coming back from one.

The topic did shift for what Natsu said about the brothers at Haregeon.

"So your memories have been cleansed, yet you're fine with that?" Laki said, getting Finnean to shrug.

"More or less, heard that it was the same with Yui." He said, getting Yui to grin.

"True, although I had everything pieced together after me and Schoena were attacked by some monster while training...first thing I did was attack Schoena when we woke up back home." Yui admitted while scratching the back of his hand. "Once again sorry about it bro."

"You didn't have any memories except for being attacked, you can stop apologizing." Schoena said while shaking his head "Took a few weeks before we could leave after the accident. Still recovering his memories."

"I only have a few, but honestly it's no big deal for me." Yui said with a shrug. "Same with you I take it Finnean."

"Indeed, though I do have to wonder a few things like why I can't turn off Bad Dreams or why some of the other magic I know seems like just one spell like Ominous Wind." Finnean said.

"Schoena can actually answer the latter then, he likes to study the history and types of magic." Laki said, getting Schoena to stiffen before nodding.

"Right, so not sure for your dream magic. But do these spells have on specific effect that could qualify as a type of magic?" He asked.

"They can." Finnean said simply.

Double Team was an advanced application of his illusions and Dream Eater fit with Bad Dreams. Haze, Quick Attack, and Ominous Wind were something else entirely.

"Perhaps they are a form of Lost Magic. There are countless spells that only follow one application of magic that have been falling out of favor and replaced with more common place. There are two types of Lost Magic. First is the almost mythical and more powerful types like Natsu's Fire Dragon Slayer magic which the methods to learn are lost to time. The second is ones that have been lost to time and fallen out of favor like my own Alphabet magic which has fallen for either simpler or stronger variants that fellow guild members Levy and Freed use. So perhaps you were someone who studied several of them and if so-" Schoena said before gasping for air as Yui clapped him on the back.

Finnean tilted his head as the wizard struggled to breathe.

"This happens sometimes." Laki said.

"Bro sometimes get too excited and forgets to breathe over knowledge like this, needs a good jolt. He's a bookworm at heart despite how he presents himself or dresses to look older." Yui said with a grin.

Only to beamed across the head by the spine of Schoena's book.

"Ow!" He cried out while clutching his head.

"I am older." Schoena said, regaining his composure and returning to his book.

"By like 8 days." Yui grumbled as he shook his head.

"Do they do this often?" Finnean asked an amused looking Laki.

"Sometimes, did that satisfy your interest?" She said with a smile.

"It did, somewhat. Yet what I really want to do is explore more of the world, to see what is out." Finnean said with a smile which Laki mattered.

"A curious shadow with wanderlust for drifting across the world, quite fitting isn't it." Laki said, to which Finnean smiled.

"Indeed." He said, thinking the words were apt with him.

"Okay not sure what Laki said, but I think I got her sentiment. Plenty of chances to travel all around Fiore, heck sometimes out of the country depending on the job." Yui said with a wide grin.

"Now you've done it." Schoena said with a small smile as he turned the page. "Don't be surprised if he tries to drag you on a request now. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the others tried to bring you along."

True to his words, Finnean could hear some muttering from around the tables.

"Might take them up on the offer perhaps." Finnean said with a small smile.

"Give him some time Yui, he just got here." Schoena said, getting his brother to huff but nodded.

"Finnean look! They just gave me the Fairy Tail mark!" Lucy said with a smile as she walked up to him, showing the pink guild mark on the back of her right hand.

"That's good Lucy." Finnean said with a small smile.

"Have you thought about where you want your mark yet?" Lucy asked, getting him to ponder over it for a few moments.

Before ultimately shrugging.

"Don't know yet, I'm sure to think of where to put it soon." Finnean said.

Lucy nodded at that before heading towards the board where Natsu and Happy were currently looking over the jobs.

"Pay heed and find the time soon. Can't go on official jobs without the mark." Laki said, getting Finnean to nod while Yui looked confused.

"Too many chances for fakers to pretend that they're Fairy Tail for their own ends. To replicate a guild mark outside of transformation magic is difficult." Schoena said.

"Right, just saw an example of that yesterday." Finnean said, thinking of what Bora tried to pull yesterday. Before seeing Lucy yelling at Natsu over something. "Excuse me."

He got up and sunk into his shadow, zipping along the ground before emerging behind them.

"Hasn't my dad come back yet?" Someone said, getting their attention.

The speaker was a young boy, staring up at Makarov who was sitting on the counter. Sighing as he settled his drink next to him.

"If you're the son of a wizard Romeo then wait patiently at home for him!" The guild master said.

"But he said that he'd be back in three days, and he hasn't come home in a week!" Romeo said.

"If I recall correctly he took a job at Mt. Hakobe." Makarov said.

"It's not that far away. Go out and look for him!" Romeo cried out.

"Your old man is a wizard! There isn't a single wizard in this guild who can't take care of themselves! Go home and drink some milk or something!" Makarov said to him.

Romeo ignored him and jumped up to punch the guild master in the face before turning to run off.

"Must be hard for him..." Lucy trailed off.

"He's worried about Romoe's father too, even if his words are harsh he is concerned." Finnean said, having seen a similar reaction from the captain.

"Finnean's right, master is worried for Macao." Mirajane said, getting Lucy's attention as she walked towards them from behind the counter. Polishing a glass in her hand.

Before Lucy turned to see Finnean take a step back as Natsu punched the request he was going to take into the board. Creating a large dent in said board.

"Natsu don't break the board again!" A guild member called out, but was ignored as Natsu and Happy turned away.

Makarov sighed as Natsu held Ted his bag over his shoulder as the two departed from the guild.

"What is he doing?" Lucy asked as some muttering began to emerge from around the guild.

"Natsu is just like with him, the same thing happened with his father Igneel." Mirajane said.

"The dragon." Finnean said, getting Mirajane to smile a little.

"So he has told you." She said before her smile dropped. "He went away so suddenly one day and never came back after raising him. Everyone in Fairy Tail are all living under a cloud. Carrying something with them each day...some wound, scar, suffering...like me."

"What was that last one?" Finnean said, her last word almost too quiet for the both of them to hear.

"Forget it, it's noting." Mirajane said cheerfully as she smiled.

Lucy looked downcast as she noticed the cheerful atmosphere of Fairy Tail returned. Yet she couldn't stop thinking of Mirajane's words. Everyone in Fairy Tail must be carrying something with them...

Well she supposed there was true.

Still Natsu must be looking forward to meeting with Igneel again if he was looking for rumors of him...

"Let's go." Finnean said, snapping Lucy out her thoughts. "Unless you want to stay back here. Sorry if I assumed what you were thinking."

"No." Lucy said with a small smile as she turned to him. "Let's follow him."

0take care you two." Mirajane called out with a smile as the two waved back. Lucy a little more enthusiastically as they began to depart from the guild after Natsu.

The screen flickered for bit before the author reappeared with a wave.

*Hey guys Hakuorofan7 here and I hoped that you all enjoyed this chapter.*

*Mainly focusing on the basic introduction of the guild as stated before although Finnean forming some connections already with Mirajane, Laki, Yui, and Schonea.*

*Mirajane is from mere curiosity and Laki he seems to decipher her wording and a similar calmer disposition. Same with Schoena.*

*And as I said last chapter he and his brother Yui were mentioned last chapter along with Kennelly from the same game. The two were a pair of orphans that were attacked by a monster. In the game both lost their memories and attacked the other thinking they were responsible. Here only Yui lost his memories.*

*The relationship between the two are comparable to Asta and Yuno from Black Clover, admittedly still reading the early volumes of the manga. A pair of brothers although bickering a lot less than those two.*

*Yui is a friendly and outgoing person whose sense of adventure actually rivals Finnean's, although he does go overboard with his magic similar to Gildarts. Schonea is a more calmer person compared to the guild yet with some small quirks, he is quite the scholar. More will be revealed about their magic in later chapters.*

*Anyway Finnean hasn't gotten his guild mark yet, still deciding on that yet but hot quite a few suggestions. He'll get it in the chapter after the next.*

*Finally he seems to have caught unto something in the guild before entering it through his ability, wonder what that could be…*

*That should be all for now.*

*Next chapter the group embarks to Mt. Hakobe to look for missing guild member Macao, only to into some trouble. Hope that you all enjoy the chapter when it comes out.*

*If you have a question leave a review or PM and I'll get back to you when I can. So until next time ciao!*

The author waved goodbye as the screen faded to black.
