Season 2: Episode 7

The atmosphere in the swimming team locker room was tense, more than a few of the girls on the team noticed it but didn't know how to even approach the subject to any of the three who were the centre of that awkwardness. Paige bit her lip, suddenly feeling unsure and worried, namely due to the sharp look Alison was sending her way.

'What the hell is that all about...could it be...could, no, she can't suspect me.' She thought in shock. 'She knew I'd never do anything like that, I know that it would hurt Emily and I can't do that.'

But Alison was indeed suspecting Paige. 'I know for a fact I didn't do anything to expose the truth to Emily about Maya, but Paige is the only other one with a copy of that information...but Emily got it from A, could it be?'

She couldn't help but begin to feel even more anxious. She turned to see Emily glaring at her.

"Em?"

Emily shook her head. "What the hell was that about, Alison?"

"What are you-?" Alison began.

"Maya." Emily cut her off. "Why was she getting all up in your face?"

Alison swallowed, caught off guard, Maya had indeed confronted her, clearly suspecting her in 'ruining her relationship with Emily'. Alison had brushed her off and acted nonchalant, as if she didn't know what Maya was talking about.

"I have no idea, I swear." Alison said. "She was getting right in my face yeah, but I have no idea why she is acting this way towards me."

She had no desire to share her fears with Emily, not right now, not until she knew for sure.

Still shaken from the tense atmosphere, Paige nevertheless made her way out of school and she managed a smile as she saw Morgan sitting waiting as they'd agreed.

"Hey."

"Hi there." Paige said as she went to sit next to her. "Sorry I made you wait."

Morgan shook her head. "It's alright...I wasn't just sitting here the whole time you know. I decided to watch the practice, you guys are pretty good."

"Oh, um, thanks." Paige replied, biting her lip, feeling her face heat up.

They slipped into a momentary silence for a while. Finally Paige spoke up.

"So um, about that kiss, at the pool…"

Morgan nodded. "Ah yeah. I hope I didn't freak you out."

Paige smiled. "No, I wasn't freaked out, just surprised, I didn't expect you to, well, like I said. It wasn't bad or anything."

"True, I know I liked it." Morgan admitted. "I was wondering if, if you...Did it mean anything more to you?"

"I'm, I think so, I've certainly not been able to stop thinking about it." Paige admitted in return with a grin.

"Oh?"

Paige nodded at that and Morgan couldn't help but return the grin.

"So, can we try?" Morgan asked.

Paige grinned and moved closer and gave Morgan her answer and they kissed once again.

Meanwhile, while leaving school themselves, Hanna sighed sadly as she walked with Emily. She looked over at Sean who was also leaving school and quickly turned her head away, just seeing him like this hurt.

"Han?" Emily asked, looking up from her phone, a strange look on her face.

Hanna quickly turned to her, biting her lip. "Um, yeah?"

Emily sighed. "You're still struggling with things ending between you and Sean huh?"

"Yeah, I just...what's bothering you, you look a little, surprised." Hanna replied, trying to change the subject.

Emily actually smiled at that. "I just...I don't know what happened, but Garrett just contacted me and there isn't going to be a trial. Ben changed his confession to guilty and has been sentenced."

Hanna gasped in amazement and grinned.

"Em that's, that's great. He's been made to pay at last."

Emily nodded happily. "Yeah, it's finally been dealt with."

Hanna nodded in agreement with that and did her best to remain smiling, looking around again, luckily she didn't see Sean again. Her gaze did land on someone else however, someone unexpected. It was Caleb Rivers, the boy she had seen around school at times, even having to work with him in class, she began to wonder about him.

Hanna wasn't the only one having relationship troubles at that moment however, Spencer grimaced as she tried to catch up with Tony.

"Tony wait, please." She called out.

But he was still not talking to her, he was clearly still unable to listen to what she was saying about the party, about what happened between her and Ryan. She stopped and watched sadly as Tony then entered his parents car and they drove off.

"Dammit." She muttered.

Shaking her head she decided she'd try again some other time, instead she simply began making her way home. She paused when she saw Toby up ahead. He looked up and smiled when he saw her. She felt a little uncomfortable but cleared her throat and did her best to remain calm as she walked.

"Hey, Spencer…"

Spencer swallowed. "Hi, what's up?"

"Still having problems with Bruno, huh?" He remarked. "I'm sorry to see that, you know, if you want to talk to anyone, I could-?"

"I'm fine." Spencer said quickly.

She hated to admit it but Toby made her feel uncomfortable, it was started to make sense to her, as if he was making some advances on her, yet she wasn't interested and wished he could just see that. Finally however, to her relief, she was out of his sight and made it to her home.

Not that things got any better there, Spencer was busy studying when she saw Melissa, Ian and her parents not too far away, close enough for her to overhear.

"Oh Melissa, that's wonderful." Veronica was saying.

"Thanks mom." Melissa said.

Ian nodded. "I'm looking forward to it, I can't wait, we've already set the date."

'The date...no way?' Spencer reflected.

Sure enough she noted the rings and a lump formed in her throat, Melissa and Ian were engaged, getting married.
