On Saturday he pulls everyone out of their classes, giving the teachers a free day. He explains his newest plans, and consults with everyone; anyone can speak their mind and correct him, barely anyone does. His plans seem foolproof.

And then he learns a certain piece of information that makes his eyes go wide as he remembers what kind of permission slips he has.

Gods bless Miyagi.

The next day is Sunday, literally the only free day they have, but all of them agree to keep pushing on, so it's full of fighting and testing. Testing the support equipment, of course.

The costumes they're gonna use got an update: reflective helmets that would help them with their plans, while offering comfort and protection, without narrowing their field of vision.

The other stuff they test is efficient, amazing. The Support Course outdid themselves.

On the way back home Izuku sends All Might an encrypted message, asking for a favour, as he just realised something and needed to get the message to the principal, whose whereabouts were hard to pinpoint during the weekend.

And then… the next morning they all wake up thinking only one thing. It's the day of the test. And they're going to win.

As per his request they enter the training grounds way before the Hero Course does, and just chill in their waiting zone, unseen by anyone else. Their guests will arrive later, unfortunately, but they should still have some time before the Hero Course arrives. He hopes so. It would ruin the surprise otherwise.

Izuku is sitting right next to Kusunoki and Kawamae, who are reporting to him every slight murmur they hear.

So far it hasn't been anything interesting, but better safe than sorry. Kusunoki mostly reports on excited whispers of the Hero Team talking about not knowing where their base is, so all Izuku can do is roll his eyes and accept that they've been kept in the dark just as his Union is.

And he finally learns why their chat was called UNION! It was because of a joke you see. Nishikawa had growled out that they're 'like a fucking workplace union', 'unionised to take down the hero course'. And doesn't that check out? It was completely true.

Izuku looks at the clock conveniently hung on the wall in front of him. An hour until the exercise starts still.

He makes a gamble.

"Kusunoki, stop listening about the location of their base, and start listening about the teacher's bets on us," he says.

"You sure, boss?" the girl looks taken aback. "Isn't the base more important?"

"If they knew anything they'd have slipped up by now. They're too overconfident to prepare for us listening in."

She shrugs, "If you say so." She closes her eyes for a second and flexes her fingers… and she opens her eyes widely, very suddenly. "Ooooooh, they're gossiping. All of them."

In the observation room, a few of the teachers have gotten into a heated argument. All Might and Vlad King stand facing each other, Vlad with a snarl on his face and All Might with a smirk of confidence.

"There is no way that boy will win this entire thing," Vlad narrows his eyes and juts out his chin. "Class 1B will be victorious and outshine anyone from class 1A," he spits out.

"You underestimate Midoriya-shounen just like your class and that will be your and theirs downfall," All Might proclaims. Both continue to stare at each other until Nedzu clears his throat.

"Why not make a wager and we can end this discussion without needless bad blood?"

A few of the teachers' heads turn as the declaration of a famous UA tradition is uttered by the Principal. Nedzu whips out a notebook and waves for the teachers to start the bets.

"10,000 yen on Midoriya to win," Allmight tosses out first.

"12,000 yen on Class 1B to do better than Class 1A when they win," Vlad growls out.

"10,000 yen on team A to win. I just don't see how team B can pull this off against both hero courses," Midnight chimes in.

"50,000 yen on team B winnin'," Snipe speaks up from the back of the room. "I think y'all forget how resourceful that green kid is."

The teachers gasp at the bet and Midnight whistles.

At that moment the door to the waiting room opens, and their guests arrive. It's Kusunoki's cue to stop relaying what she's 'hearing'.

Izuku stands up and smiles.

"Welcome to Kicking The Hero Course's Ass, the exam," he says, opening his arms wide.

Less than an hour and it will all start. He's ready. They're ready.

It's gonna be glorious.

Momo… doesn't understand what's happening. First, they see absolutely no one entering the Villain— uh, Team B waiting area, then a bus full of people from outside the campus arrives but no one can see who exactly gets out of it, and now… The exam has started, they were told the exam is starting in five minutes, the siren rang out… but nothing is happening. She's on comms with the entire team and everyone, both class A and B, are reporting an absolute lack of anyone from Team B appearing.

It's like they aren't even there.

She considers contacting the teachers… but logic tells her that if the other team deserted they'd be told about that instead of running around like headless chickens.

So they're hiding. What do they hope to accomplish? There are additional points for surviving a day, yes, but they're both gaining those points at the same time. So they cannot simply outwait them. Unless the rules aren't as equal as Aizawa-sensei told them, and they do get more points from waiting than their team does.

They have to find them.

She pulls out patrol schedules she made up in the planning stage and starts contacting various micro-teams.

They have to find them. As soon as possible.

Katsuki is…

Well, he's fucking furious.

First Ponytail assigns him a partner, like he even needs one, then said partner tries to fucking chain him to the ground when he rightfully ditches her, and now…

WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY?

He's checked the city hall like three times simply because he flew through the entire city alone and didn't even find the fucking cat. There's nothing and no one on the streets. Just their fucking team and the stupid fucking robots!

Deku really is a coward to hide instead of facing him like a fucking man. But to hide his whole team? That requires skill, especially since earphones and the octopus are looking for them too. Everyone is looking for them.

He briefly wonders how many people could be on Deku's team. He's seen him talking with at least five people from the business course and a few from the support course, but honestly, only the gods themselves know how many actually signed up.

They could be against twenty to forty people for all he knows. Especially since Deku seemed confident in himself. Having all this weird support equipment on everyone would sway the game in their favour for sure but… well. Nothing can quite replace a good quirk and experience combo, the nerd should know that, nerding after all those heroes with good quirks for all those years.

Tch.

Izuku is honestly… having fun.

He knows what they're doing now is risky, but he finds himself forgetting about it from time to time and just enjoying what he's doing.

And what is he doing? Well… texting, mostly. Playing games on his phone also. Depends on what the others are doing.

They've taken a small oath of silence, lasting a day, and hid. Hid where? In the sewers.

And from what Kusunoki is telling him the other team hasn't even considered it yet.

Their act would be up the moment the Hero Team realises, or when the first day is finished, whichever comes first, but for now they can relax, as long as they're completely silent.

To minimise the risk of someone, like, sneezing, and blowing their cover, they're spread out through the tunnels and just have signal-strengthening equipment on themselves to help with the thick walls of the sewers.

Everything is going according to plan.
