Chapter- 2

Why she's so captivating?

Once Kai had fully recovered and Kenny was nearly finished repairing his Beyblade, a new BBA center opened for kids under the bridge. Tyson and his friends took on the role of trainers for the children, with Hilary assisting them.

Mr. Dickenson had plans to eventually open an official BBA building and resume tournaments. The idea of competing again filled everyone with excitement as they contemplated which teams they would join. One thing was certain: Ray, Max, and Kai were determined to rejoin Tyson's team.

As summer vacation continued, Tyson and his friends dedicated their time to training

the children at the new BBA center. Hilary excelled in serving drinks and always managed to find Kai when he was not present.

Kai's injuries healed well and he bid farewell to Tala, who had been discharged. This time, Kai decided to stay until the end of summer to enjoy the company of his friends.

On the weekend, the Dojo was filled with noise as Tyson and Daichi fought over breakfast. With no tournaments currently taking place, they were unsure of how to spend their time. They had always been focused on training, but now they found themselves with limited options.

Meanwhile, Ray and Max passed the time playing games, while Kenny was occupied

with his laptop. Hilary found herself sitting beside Kai, who leaned against the wall with his eyes closed. He never minded her presence; it had always been this way between them.

From Hilary's perspective:

"These simple moments give me hope as if he has feelings for me. I've been falling for him ever since he picked up my torn training routine and practiced it diligently. He has helped me countless times and even saved my life. At first, it was merely an attraction, but as time passed, I realized how gentle he truly was. I often saw him feeding stray cats, and I didn't want to disturb his peaceful moments. The more I saw of him, the deeper I fell. I was grateful for the opportunity to assist him and express my feelings. I want him to rely on us more, and on me too. Even now, he doesn't mind me sitting beside him or offering a helping hand for his injuries. It's these little things that give me hope that he feels the same way-"

Ring-ring-ring.

The telephone interrupted Hilary's thoughts, and Ray answered it. It was Mr. Dickenson, informing them that a bus would be arriving in a few hours to take them on a trip to a scenic hilly region for 3 days. He considered it a reward for everything they had been through.

After the announcement, they all began packing their belongings. Overwhelmed by the impending mess, Hilary decided to return home to pack her things. Meanwhile, Kai and Ray calmly packed

amidst the chaos.

--After an hour--

After an hour had passed, Hilary returned to find the chaos and tear-streaked faces of Tyson, Daichi, Max, and Kenny.

Max was frantically trying to cram all his belongings into his suitcase.

Kenny was huddled in a corner, crying, after his belongings were taken by Daichi.

Daichi and Tyson were engaged in a struggle to fit their belongings and snacks into a single suitcase.

Ray and Kai, unbothered by the commotion, simply observed and found amusement in the disarray.

Letting out a sigh, Hilary started addressing their issues one by one, feeling like a mother to these four troublemakers.

The more Kai caught sight of Hilary, the more he recognized her significance within the group.

Before long, the bus arrived, and they embarked on their journey to the destination.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by a resort nestled in a forest. The group checked in and headed to their respective rooms.

Hilary settled into her room, while Kai and Ray shared another room. Kenny and Max occupied a separate room, and Tyson and Daichi claimed the last one.

Afterward, they all changed into their swimsuits. Hilary noticed Kai, whose injuries were nearly healed, showing only a few remaining scratches.

Kai's Pov:

As soon as Kai laid eyes on Hilary, he was captivated. He had never seen her in such a captivating light before. She radiated beauty as she approached him, her long, graceful legs and elegant figure and her dark hair, which was elegantly tied up in a bun. Her striking maroon-colored two-piece swimsuit matched her mesmerizing eyes.

But why was she coming towards him?

Suddenly, Hilary drew near to Kai and

lightly touched his chest. "Your injuries are fading, Kai," she said, her face adorned with a warm smile.

Her unexpected proximity made his cheeks flush, and he instinctively tried to shield his face with his hand. If he looked down, he could catch a glimpse of her bosom which he did accidentally.

'Get a grip, Kai!' he scolded himself, quickly diverting his gaze elsewhere.

"Hey..." he managed to utter.

Realizing the depth of her actions, Hilary blushed and swiftly retreated, offering apologies. "Oh, I'm sorry, Kai. I didn't mean to"

"It's alright," he replied, turning away and

walking off.

"Oh.my.god," exclaims Max.

"What in the world is happening here?!" questions clueless Tyson.

"You're just noticing now?" Ray replies with a mischievous smile.

After some time, Ray elaborates on his thoughts about the development of Kai and Hilary's relationship as they stroll toward the lake.

"So you're telling me, Kai?! The Kai we know has feelings for Hilary? There must be something wrong with you, Ray!" says Tyson.

"Perhaps it's possible, Tyson because I've seen them together on numerous occasions," explains Max.

"Yeah, I think so too," agrees Kenny.

"Kai could never like that Granny. Can we go swimming now?!" shouts Daichi.

"Yeah, Daichi is right, let's get going," says Tyson, picking up the pace towards the lake while Daichi runs ahead and dives in.

"Is he feeling jealous?" asks Max.

"That's a possibility, as Tyson has known Hilary the longest," says Ray.

"But I've always seen them fighting, guys!" explains Kenny.

"Yeah, but I have a feeling-" says Ray before being interrupted by Tyson and Daichi.

"Come on, guys, why are you so slow?!"

The sun was shining brightly on a delightful summer day at the lake. Tyson, Daichi, Max, Ray, Kenny, and Hilary had all gathered together to enjoy the beautiful weather. Tyson and Daichi engaged in a playful water fight, joyfully splashing each other and sharing laughter. Max darted around with a water gun, playfully dousing anyone and everyone with sprays of refreshing water. Meanwhile, Ray, Kenny, and Hilary happily played and frolicked, reveling in the warmth of the sun's rays.

On a nearby rock, Kai sat in serene contemplation, reflecting on his thoughts.

Kai's Pov:

Why did I react that way before? She had touched me in the past, but this time, my heart raced and my body felt an unfamiliar warmth. Am I sick? No, it cannot be. Hilary has been an essential member of our team since she joined, and now, she is my friend too. I do not wish to be rude or cause her any harm. What if she thinks I behaved impolitely?

"Hey Kai, come and join us!" Hilary called from a distance, interrupting Kai's thoughts.

'No, it is not that. But when did she become so captivating?' Kai pondered .

(A/n: She has always been~ You have only

just noticed! Better late than never, dear. You're in for quite the fall.)

Without further hesitation, Kai began walking towards her, joining his friends.

Tyson observed Kai's arrival, a hint of displeasure tugging at his expression. Perhaps he was finally realizing the situation and was unhappy about it, as Hilary had been his longtime crush. He had taken her for granted, assuming she would always be there for him.
