Episode 44 - Vertigo

Rock climbing comepetition at school.

Ulrich has a fear of heights.

Really? 44 episodes in to establish this to us?

Jeremy supposedly finally crafted together an anti-virus to free Aelita from Xana.

Jeremy programs Aelita to take the anti-virus.

There is a serious side effect to this.

Aelita is now inivisble.

Xana takes control of a pack of wolves and chases after Odd, Yumi and Ulrich.

They climb up a cliff to escape the pack.

Odd: Don't look down Ulrich! Just pay attention to your hand grips!

...Thank you Odd. Wow.

Jeremy teleports Aelita to Lyoko. She's visible. She's totally insivisble in just the real world, ehh.

Ulrich wants to prove that he doesn't have vertigo and tells Odd and Yumi to make a run for it, to Lyoko.

Aelita uses a freezing power, to freeze some of Xana's monsters in place. Nice. Never seen her do that before.

Ulrich holds up the pack of wolves, as long as he can. He does it for the rest of the episode. Some consistensy for a plot, at least. Brave soldier.

Aelita deactivates the tower.

Return To The Past Now.

Aelita is back to being visible in the real world.

William reminding Ulrich that he has vertigo. Ehh. What a jerk.

That lame insult was enough not to give this episode a passing grade.

Odd: Aelita, what was it like being a member of The Fantastic Four?

Aelita completely ignores him. End episode.

Overall Rating - 5.9/10 - Ehh. The episode tried really hard to get me invested but, there was just a lack of urgency that you didn't have to worry about. I mean, how many times has Jeremy made a mistake, it was never fatal to Aelita and he solves it in a snap? Every time. Having a cure for a virus in Episode 44 of all things, not quite near the end of the season 2? Ehh.
