I binge watch through the entire series of Code Lyoko. Aside from seeing 1-2 episodes, I'm going in completely blind to this series. It's a show, I would never see anyone say anything good or bad about at all. I'm confused to as to whether or not, it's an anime or a cartoon. Cartoon Network never even aired the finale back in 2007. A smorgasbord of a project. Let's do this.

57. Prequel: Xana Awakens (Part 1)

XANA Aweakens (Part 1)

NOTE: These next two episodes are a "prequel" that take place, covering the events before the start of Season 1.

Wikipedia advised me to watch these, before starting Season 3. Well, okay.

Odd has a new haircut. His hair isn't spiky. And Odd had just moved to the academy.

Odd is now Ulrich's roommate and Ulrich doesn't seem pleased about it.

Jeremy goes to the factory and meets up with Aelita online for the first time.

Aelita doesn't even have a name or knows what to call herself.

Jeremy tentatively calls her "Maya" for now.

Jeremy calls Ulrich by "Stern" - his last name and not his first name. Why? Who knows.

Xana begins his first onslaught by attacking Jeremy in his dorm and bringing inanimate objects to life.

Xana suddenly stops the attack.

Jeremy shows Ulrich - the hideout for the first time.

Jeremy shows Ulrich - the world of Lyoko.

Ulrich is addressing and calling Jeremy by his last name - Belpois

Why?

Odd's pet dog Kiwi makes a mess in the dorm, the boys are sharing.

Ulrich kidnaps Kiwi.

Sissy follows the boys, unaware of what's going on.

Odd: Why did he kidnap my dog?

Sissy: Maybe, he's using it for a science experiment?

Odd: You watch too many horror movies!

Sissy: Yeah, you're right. That's pretty dumb.

Odd and Sissy sneak in where the scanners to take them, to Lyoko are.

Ulrich and Jeremy have no idea, they snuck in.

Odd is sent to Lyoko. He doesn't know how to get it.

Ulrich asks Sissy, if she wants to go to Lyoko.

Sissy passes up on the offer and leaves. She's too freaked out.

Ulrich heads to Lyoko.

Jeremy tells them - they get weapons based on their "subconscious desires"

The boys head back to the real world.

Xana attacks for about a minute in the lab, before once again, he suddenly stops his attack in the hideout.

Aelita-excuse me "Maya" asks the group if they are okay.

Jeremy tells them there's nothing to worry about and everything's fine.

End episode. I'm serious. It ends like that.

Overall Rating - 5.8/10 - It's a "prequel" that recalls events to the show before Season 1 actually started. Very...strange episode. Couldn't really get into it. I think the turn off for me was Ulrich and Jeremy calling each other, by their last names. No. Just no. Sissy almost joining the clique and going to Lyoko, couldn't save it.
