Thomas woke up from his unconsciousness and it was early morning. He passed out on the marble floor for most of yesterday.

He felt guilty for violently grabbing Momo's tail and forceful ejection from his home that caused her horrendous pain. The curse was pushing him into an abyss.

These actions were clearly grave mistakes and the way he dealt with the incident was a failure. His grip on Momo's tail made him question her identity.

Was Momo really a cat girl or cat-human hybrid? If this was the case, was the attacks on her the definition of abuse or animal cruelty? He does not want to know.

Kicking Momo out of his home was nothing different to him. The house was quiet and tranquil. A bit too quiet.

He only met Momo for more than a day and for some odd reason, her presence affected him. He couldn't figure out why and there was something about her character.

The questions surrounded his mind.

"Why did Momo choose to be with me and not anyone else who found her, or did anyone even find her at all? What does Momo want from me?" he thought intensively.

The thoughts were hurting his mind and tried to disregard Momo away from his thinking.

To clear the conflicting thoughts on his head, the solution was to consume the whiskey. As he went to his office and immediately noticed that the whiskey bottle was gone. He was certain that the bottle was right above the shelf, but he configured Momo was the one who consumed the whiskey.

"Momo must have drunk it" he wondered pensively.

Solving one part of the problem led to a larger puzzle. Was Momo drunk and unintentionally pushed the fish tank by accident or was her drunken state leading her into madness?

With Momo drinking the alcohol, he couldn't find a proper conclusion to what led to the incident. All he knows is that Momo crashed the expensive aquarium tank, accidentally or on purpose.

He had to clean up the mess Momo made as the dead fishes were producing odors, the puddle turned gray and opaque, and the shattered glass reflected the morning sunrise from the office room window. The mop up operation took him a while but got the job done.

The main priority for the day is to rebuild his aquarium and that means more money must be spent, again. Thomas liked to have his personal aquarium and the only aquarium item he has now is a small fish bowl, which he called a "poor man's aquatic museum".

He planned to visit the local pet store today to revamp his aquarium when possible.

As Thomas left his home, Momo woke up as the sunlight blasted right through her eyelids. She slept on a large tree branch at the Hiking Trail, her favorite location to play at and her current, temporary home.

She used her crippled and damp cardboard box as a pillow. Theoretically, she could sleep without it, but the tree branch was very moist, and her fluffy ears were highly sensitive to touching moist or contacting small or large sums of water.

The rainfall made her navy-blue kimono turn into a sponge, but now her kimono was drying up thanks to the sunlight. However, as her attire became drier, her primary clothes began to give out a horrible stench, smelling like an unclean foot or a pair of worn-out sneakers. The worst part was when Momo's body was drying up and gave an unbearable smell as her body was getting sticky due to a mixture of rainwater and sweat.

She barely remembered yesterday's events. Thomas's physical attacks were harsh, but it was not the worst she personally endured.

For much of her life, being a stray kitty was more emotionally painful than being abused by her "potential master". Momo was aware that she had done something terrible to Thomas or his property.

The reason why she cried last night was not just because of Thomas's physical attacks but for destroying his trust that led him into a raging bull.

Momo was conditioned to be fully obedient, never get the "master" on his angry side, and most importantly, never display insult or grave disrespect towards the "master". Her philosophies were destroyed by her own ignorance to uphold these principles.

Suddenly, she clearly remembered consuming the intoxicated liquid and destroying the "potential master's" fish tank in the process.

"What have I done" Momo said to herself, struggling to contain her fragile emotional state.

Momo wanted to apologize to Thomas and hopefully he would forgive her and let her reside in his beautiful home again. The only thing she is trying to configure is how to make him forgive her. One thing is certain, she vowed to never consume the "poisonous" beverage again.

Before she continued planning an apology, her tail needed to be bandaged due to the consistent pain she felt for most of the night. She leaned towards the crippled and dampened cardboard box and grabbed a long, blue string ribbon.

Originally, she planned to use the string ribbon to form a bow for her tail as part for the "loyal servant" apron attire, but her main priority was to stabilize the pain. Momo wrapped the blue string ribbon near the end of her tail and tightened the ribbon as an elastic bandage.

At the end, she designed the remaining string ribbon as a bow to tighten it so that the string doesn't get loose. For now, she needed to make Thomas accept her apology before her contract expiration came to fruition.

Thirty minutes passed, and he finally reached the local pet store. As he got inside the pet store and went to the aquarium department, he was disappointed. Most of the items were out of stock and had no choice but to go back home.

He walked home and saw Momo waiting at his front porch alongside her crippled cardboard box.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

Momo hesitated and wasn't sure what to respond until he asked again.

"What are you doing here?!"

She finally had an answer.

"I was sent to save you." Momo answered quietly but gave a long stare to the young man's eyes.

Thomas was shocked. No one, not even his closest friends and former relationships, were aware of him being cursed. His thoughts were running through his mind, but Momo interrupted his thinking.

"I can end the curse if you'll be my master." Momo stated, placing him in a dilemma.

He was still stunned to react. The curse was taking a toll against him, and acknowledged only Kyu or Venus can end it. Momo entered the equation complicates things.

"What's Momo's involvement in all of this?" he wondered.

Momo interrupted his thought again.

"If you be my master, I promise I will be human and I will make you human too." Momo stated to him as an unusual condition for him to accept.

The second part of the condition shocked him as Momo was aware of his losing humanity and soul to the curse.

"If I am still a stray kitty, they will do things to me."

"Who the fuck is 'they'?" Thomas menacingly asked her.

Momo cut him off from asking further.

"Pleeeeeease? Mmmmmm…" Momo sympathetically begged and squeaked, staring at his peril eyes to soften his cold heart.

It was a similar phrase when he met Momo between his home and the pet store.

Momo used all her charisma to make him be her master to nullified and voided Kyu's contract to avoid being euthanized or worse.

He thought about it, and it was clear Momo knew about him under a curse. He speculated if Kyu sent Momo to him.

However, Fairies and cat girls were not real to him. Kyu was a love fairy and Venus was a goddess, but for some reason, Thomas refused to accept an outer realm being present on Earth. A dream mixing into his reality. Momo, a cat girl, made his reality worse.

Being someone's master makes him cringe and despise this concept. Free will was Thomas's strongest principle.

Momo offered a convincing deal and Thomas had to end the curse in one way or another, so he reluctantly accepted her offer.

"Well, alright. You can be at my home" he hesitantly accepted.

Momo's eyes beamed with sparkling gold and jumped with happiness.

"What? WHAT!? Really!?" Momo screamed with joy as she shut her eyes tight and wagged her tail rapidly.

Momo did not expect her plan to work, but it did.

"I can't believe it! For real? Thank you! Thank you!" Momo happily cheered.

She was still happy for Thomas to accept her to be his servant and him to be her master.

"I'll be the best kitty in the whole world. I promise!"

"I can't believe this! My own master!"

Momo grabbed her crippled box and walked to the front door as she waited for him to open the door. Thomas removed his house key from his pocket, but briefly sniffed his nose. Momo smelled terrible and needed to take a shower.

He opened the door and Momo bolted through the main foyer. She ran to the living room and placed the box on the floor as she was still happy about finding a master and he accepted her. In her mind, she nullified the contract and evaded possible consequences for failure on finding a master.

Thomas saw Momo still acted like a cat, already violated her terms and conditions.

The curse spiked suddenly to his heart. To release the sudden spike and prevent the curse from fully consuming his heart, he shut the front door. The left hand was clenched into a fist and slammed it against the door and released his frustration at the door.
