Episode 57 - Aelita
Aelita has a sudden dream and flashback (from 10 episodes ago)
Her father, Franz Hopper can't be seen in human form on Lyoko, unlike her.
That's hard to believe. Why her but, not Hopper?
We spend the next 5 minutes of the episode on why Odd's feet smell - I'm serious.
Odd heads to the nurse.
The nurse tells Odd that he suffers from plantar persipraiton. (Yes, it's a real disorder.)
Constant sweating as a way of putting it.
Back to the actual plot of the episode.
Aelita asks Jeremy, if her father is actually still alive.
Jeremy says no and that he's gone.
Her father chose to make Aelita visible on Lyoko instead of him.
Jeremy and Aelita blame at one another, that one isn't worker harder than the other, and that they may not need one another.
More sappy middle school drama stuff.
Aelita heads to Sector 5 initially to see if she can find more details about her father. Odd tags along with her.
They both to Sector 5 and are caught off guard, by the giant sphere core of Lyoko being attacked in Sector 5.
Aelita opts to help protect it with Odd.
Ulrich and Yumi head to Sector 5.
Our heroes fend off the core, effectively without breaking a sweat.
Jeremy applauds the group with a job well done.
Jeremy gives Aelita to chance - to look up more details of her father.
Jeremy finds some information on the details, Aelita looked up in Sector 5.
A DNA code of her father, Franz Hopper. Hmm...
No Return To The Past. And that's it. End episode.
Overall Rating - 5.1/10 - An extremely predictable episode, bogged down by the good Aelita bits to her past, to Odd's feet getting screentime over her. Not necessary at all to overshadow her like that, especially given the name of the episode is "Aelita." The action bits in this episode were also not as good, as they could've been.
