Episode 59 - The Secret
It's midnight and Jeremy calls for Yumi to head to Lyoko immediately.
William is apparently skateboarding at midnight, and bumps right into her.
William wants a kiss from Yumi.
Yumi offer a kiss but, tells him to close his eyes and she make a break for it, running away from him. Clever.
Yumi gets there and the monster that was at Lyoko is already defeated and taken care of.
Welp.
Another Xana attack.
Ulrich and Odd head into the sewer and William follows them.
Jeremy and Aelita are doing a report in history class and rush through it, as fast as possible. I got a good snicker out of it.
William makes it to the hideout.
Jeremy and Aelita get there, roughly at the same time.
Everyone passes glares at William.
Xana takes the form of a constructor, and has some kind of bomb in his disposal.
William stays behind, while everyone else heads to Lyoko.
The action here is actually pretty good.
Aelita, Ulrich and Odd do nice some vehicle hopping, in between as Aelita jumps on the back of the surfboard to the motorcycle, to kill Xana's monsters.
Xana activates 8 bombs to go off at the hideout. 10 minutes to destruction. Oh geez.
William rushes outside and sees the constructor worker. Yumi helps him.
William: I need to tell you something.
Yumi: THIS IS A VERY BAD TIME!
William: ...I can't swim.
Oh God.
Aelita deactivates the tower.
Again, we get a Return To The Past sequence, that Jeremy could've done but...opts not to do it.
Xana takes control of Aelita momentarily, once again to input a code to destroy the ice sector.
William, Ulrich and Odd look for the bombs to disarm.
Yumi heads to Lyoko and manages to help Aelita, fight up Xana's control of her. The ice sector is saved.
William defuses the bomb, at the last second.
Jeremy offers up a vote, that if everyone allows William a 5-0 vote then, he can join the team.
The vote was 4-1 (I'm sure it was Ulrich, who voted against him.)
William leaves furious.
Return To The Past Now.
Actually...it ended up being Yumi.
Yumi said it was because she still can't trust him, because he's so new.
End episode.
Overall Episode - 7.0/10 - As much as I hate to admit it, this was a really good episode. William was nowhere near annoying as he usually was, he really wanted to know what Lyoko was. The ice sector ended up being saved - which I did not expect. William's dad was on the bomb squad, which is how he knew what to do. Everything flowed nicely and I don't really any complaints here. Generally solid episode. Only 1-2 episodes were better than this in the entire series, so far. It's too bad, this series isn't really known all that well. I feel like a loser watching this. That's another reason why no episode in this project has gotten higher than 7.1/10 so far.
