'Ugh why does this have to be so hard, I just need a cute outfit!' She stared at the plethora of garments she had managed to collect on her bed sadly not finding exactly what she felt matched her mood. "Red… something red…. Hmmmm" she talked to herself, debating on a slinky form fitting dress she had bought a while back but ultimately just shoved it in the back of her closet for it to be forgotten about. It was a pretty little number, a deep burgundy velvet off the shoulder dress with black chiffon lace along the bust and around the hem, with a beautiful faux tortoise shell cameo of a reaper directly in the center of the chest.

"yeah I think this is a good enough occasion to wear this." she smiled to herself. Gently taking the dress off its hanger and gracefully sliding on her frame. It fell ever so perfectly against her body, showing off the tops of her shoulders, collar bones and bust. The dress fell bout two inches above her knees. Forgoing the usual tights she decided to instead wear a pair of shape wear shorts that accentuated her waist, hips and rear. 'At least these will keep my thighs from rubbing together' she thought to herself. She hated tights, her ex always complained that they made her look "too frumpy" so she tossed every pair she had away.

"well now its time to decide on footwear I suppose…" she commented as she made her way back to her closet. Ultimately she decided on a simple pair of black flats, comfortable and cute, she thought it matched her outfit quite nicely indeed. She left her hair down and did some simple makeup, a gentle dusting of burgundy eyeshadow and some eyeliner and a crimson lip. After putting on a few swipes of her favorite pheromone perfume she was ready to go. She loved that perfume, it brought out her natural scent and she felt absolutely unstoppable when she wore it so she only used it on special occasions.

At long last she was finally ready to head out, she was jittery but DAMN DID SHE LOOK AND FEEL HOT! "oooo! I should text my bestie and show him my outfit and tell him all about this guy I'm having dinner with tonight!!" she exclaimed as she quickly pulled out her phone and found their text thread. She quickly made her way to her full length mirror in her room and took a quick picture and sent it to her bestie. Less than a minute later he responded,

D: "DAMN GURL!! Whos got you all gussied up and looking edible?"

she giggled and shot back a quick response

"I met this super hot guy who asked me out to dinner tonight so I figured why not look ravishing and see what happens."

D: "Gurl you better turn your location on, some rando tries to hurt you I will stab him with a smile on my face, and you know I will. You've been hurt too much and you deserve to be happy for once, I do hope it goes well and y'all hit it off. Lemme know how it goes k?"

"Absolutely Dante, I'll call you when I get home and tell you all about it, Love you!"

D: "Good, Love you too boo boo!"

She groaned to herself 'I hope he doesn't think I look like a tramp..' she said with a sigh she pulled on a red leather jacket, grabbed her keys and phone quickly turning on her location sharing with Dante and started on her way to the diner to meet up with her mystery man to discuss over dinner this mystery phrase that apparently he knew. "Guess ill see you there." she mumbled as she shouldered the door and headed out.

Stepping out into the cool night felt pleasant, the chilly autumn are tickling her legs and chest. She loved fall, the air was chilly, perfect hoodie weather, spooky season and of course the cuddles. Cuddles were the best thing about fall to her. She loved to be curled up on the couch under her weighted blanket with a nice cup of hot cocoa or some vanilla chi and watch some scary movies. Fall was indeed her favorite season of all, the cooler months just seemed to bring people closer together.

As she made her way through the mostly empty streets only illuminated by the stray street lights she felt so at ease at this time of night. Hell if she were being completely honest with herself she always felt more alive at night. Everything seemed to look more clear to her, her senses seemed heightened at night. She's always been like this for as long as she can remember. Even when she was little her mother use to tell her about how she was quite the precocious child and never wanted to sleep at night. She recalled one story in particular, her mother told her how she woke up at three am to find her little one pretending to "suck the blood out of her juice box" while perched on the kitchen counter top wrapped up in her blankie.

Chuckling to herself, how silly she was as a kid, she missed hearing the stories from her mom about when she was little. She missed her mother badly, almost as much as she missed her father. Sadly she had lost both of her loving parents several years ago to cancer. She lost her father then within a year her mother. For several years after she was so mad, she hated the world and whatever 'God or Gods' their may be. She was cold and bitter for so long, she hated herself for not being able to save them. Logically she knew there wasn't anything she could have done but that didn't stop the anger and pain.

If it wasn't for Dante she would have never gotten back out in the world. He had been her best friend since she was in kindergarten. He was a shy but flamboyant boy and they became friends quickly. Her parents loved Dante and treated him like their own son, especially since his own family disowned him when he came out to them. Dante was like a brother she never had and he was the most important person in her life now. He was there when she lost her whole world. It was Dante's arms she fell into when she got the news of her parents' illness and it was Dante who was her rock when she lost them. He was there for every breakup and broken heart. He was her twin flame, best friend and brother.

Lost in thought she hadn't realized she was about to walk up to the door of the diner. She paused mid stride, took a breath, straightened her shoulders and walked in. The warm welcoming air inside the diner was a pleasant contrast to the chill that had enveloped around her body. She took a seat at one of the many booths that lined the wall by the window, shaking off her jacket as the server approached her and asked her what she would like to dink. "a nice red wine would be fantastic, please" she answered as she finished situating her things in the seat next to her.

"A nice red does indeed sound lovely, can you make it two please." a male voice said from just over her shoulder. She turned her head and glanced up to see her dinner date, he was dressed up in a gorgeous black silk shirt with the top three buttons undone just giving a small peak at the top of his chest, black slacks that form fit him very well and nice dress shoes as well. He looked like a model straight out of a celebrity magazine.

'Very well sir, ill be back with your drinks shortly.' the server stated as he turned to acquire the beverages. He sat down across from her in the booth, his eyes slowly going over her form, admiring her. "Well, I have to say I was definitely not expecting this level of dress for a simple dine and chat. I'm not complaining but I am very pleasantly surprised. Look at you, looking like a treat with your cheeks all flushed." he stated all the while staring into her eyes almost as though he was looking directly into her soul. She could feel her cheeks turn a shade of red hotter than they had previously been.

"Well you see, as I was looking for something to wear it occurred to me, we haven't properly introduced ourselves." she stated while maintaining his intense eye contact. "You're absolutely right, where are my manners. My name is Astarian, it's very lovely to meet you miss…?" he asked with his head slightly tilted, chin resting on the top of his head, eyes boring into yours eagerly awaiting your response. "Rubii, very nice to meet you as well Astarian. That is a very interesting name and a very lovely one as well." you said with a smile. "Rubii, what a positively perfect name for a treasure such as yourself."

She could feel her cheeks flush one again. She was simply not use to such admirations let alone from a perfect stranger. There was something otherworldly about this man, Astarian, that she couldn't quite put her finger on it. "So, Astarian, what can you tell me about that phrase?" Rubii asked as the server placed their glasses of wine in front of them. She gently grabbed the stem of her glass and smelled the liquid first before taking a small sip letting the bouquet of flavor bloom across her tongue. It tasted sweet and almost floral like, it was absolutely divine.

"Ah yes, first I'd like to get to know you a bit more if its all the same to you, you fascinate me darling." he said softly as he gently placed his own glass down after taking a sip of his wine as well.

Rubii couldn't help but notice how gentle he was with the glass, how his fingers ghosted over the fragile container. How his fingers tightened and released around the stem of the glass, the way he gently twirled the glass in his fingertips. He moved so gracefully, she was utterly entranced by every small simple movement he made. How he spoke, his voice made her feel so comfortable, she could talk to him forever. His voice made her feel so may emotions and feeling she had thought were long since dead.

'Rubii, this man can't possibly be real, he's perfect… almost too perfect.'
