Luke took his lightsaber out from his jacket, igniting the red blade. "How do you know that?"

A brilliant blue lightsaber snapped to life in response. "I know many things."

Luke snorted at the vague comment. "Darth Vader is coming." He said. "But you haven't even caught me yet. I don't need him to defeat you."

Kenobi chuckled. "Overconfident. Just as your father was."

"You don't know anything about me." Luke adjusted his stance and glanced at Solo. "Stay back."

Kenobi was approaching and the hiss of another lightsaber alerted Luke to Olin's intent to join the duel. "On the contrary," Kenobi flourished his lightsaber, the blue blade cut through the polished marble, "I know more than you can imagine."

"Obi-Wan!" Organa stepped forward. "Stop this at once!"

"Stand back Senator." Kenobi said calmly.

"No."

Luke raised an eyebrow as the senator suddenly stepped between him and the Jedi.

"You will not hurt this boy." Organa said, firm in his own right.

Kenobi sighed. "You simpering fool. The Jedi we lost is Leia!"

Organa gaped at Kenobi. Luke could practically see the tension between the senator and the Jedi. Organa did not move.

"Again it seems I will have to do all the work myself." Kenobi suddenly flicked his wrist, the Force flinging Organa across the room and into the wall with a harsh thud.

Olin hurried to prone senator's side. Luke took his chance and rushed Kenobi. With a swift swing he went for the head. Kenobi answered the attack with his lightsaber and quickly countered for Luke's leg. Luke danced out of the way and lashed out with a fist, clocking Kenobi across the jaw. The older man stumbled with a gasp. Luke stabbed at him. But the Jedi was quick to recover and meet the attack again with expert defense and counter attack. Luke backflipped onto Organa's desk, kicking the holocomputer at Kenobi who simply cleaved the item in two. Olin had left Organa's side and was cautiously making his way towards Luke and Kenobi.

Solo and Chewbacca took shots at Olin. The fat man defended against them without a care in the world. Two shots he redirected back, hitting Chewbacca's hand and shoulder. His wails were both furious and disheartening.

"Solo get him back to the ship." Luke ordered. Solo looked regrettably conflicted, but did as told.

Luke twirled his lightsaber, grinning down at the two Jedi. "I've waited a long time for a challenge."

"We can still resolve this peacefully." Olin said.

"Read the room." Luke shot back. With that he Force pushed one of the chairs into Olin, making the fat Jedi grunt. Luke turned his attention to Kenobi, jumping off the table with a slash at the Jedi's shoulder. Kenobi avoided the attack and turned to meet Luke's close quarters attack. They moved across the office, leaving burn marks in the floor and walls when they got too close. All this time Olin had followed but seemed quite reluctant to actually engage. Luke wondered why. He landed a kick at Kenobi's leg. Turning on Olin Luke lashed out. But the Jedi only backed off. Luke sneered and turned back to Kenobi before he could take advantage of Luke's testing of the fat Jedi.

The fight had taken Luke and Kenobi to the balcony. Luke would admit one thing. Kenobi could take a hit and he was a challenge. Kenobi cornered Luke against the balcony railing. Their lightsabers locked, Kenobi was bigger, easily pushing Luke against the railing in a surprising show of physical strength.

"Don't make me take a hand." Kenobi hissed.

Luke forced a grin and glanced over his shoulder. "Vader wouldn't like that."

Kenobi grimaced and pushed his lightsaber, the blue blade about to burn Luke's eyebrow off.

Not liking the closeness, Luke raised a leg and planted his foot against the railing. Pushing back with a surge of strength he caught Kenobi off guard. The Jedi fell back long enough for Luke to jump onto the edge of the railing. Down below were several balconies and jutting out from the tower. He smiled almost cheekily. "Can you keep up with me old man?" Then almost casually Luke dropped off the edge.

It was a long fall to the ledge of his choice, but to Luke it was a skip. He landed like a cat and raced through the door into an empty room. A thud behind him told Luke Kenobi had followed.

"Never underestimate your elders, young one."

Luke snorted and turned to face Kenobi. "I'm not impressed."

Kenobi charged. Luke flourished his blade, knocking aside the attack before the duelists engaged in a dance to the death. Luke was certain this man was a master of defense. Luke could only get a hit in with his fists. Maybe the old Jedi was not used to crude attacks such as a sucker punch. They had moved from the room into the corridor. Someone screamed but Luke paid the bystander no mind. Instead he put all his focus on Kenobi. On his defense and any opening he might be able to exploit. Luke struck a fist out, seeing an opening for Kenobi's nose. But the Jedi turned it around on him, catching Luke's fist and pulling him forward. Luke quickly positioned his lightsaber against Kenobi's to keep him from a fatal blow. But something suddenly burned across Luke's rib cage. Kenobi's lightsaber angled and grazed Luke's shirt and skin.

The burning pain was all too familiar, tapping into a past Luke had not wholeheartedly visited for several years. In a fit of rage Luke cried out and blasted Kenobi with the Force, sending him several yards down the corridor. Like his father often preached on Mustafar, Luke sunk into the anger and stalked forward. The burning agony across his chest fed into that anger and anger fed his power. Kenobi was struggling to get up as Luke came upon him.

But Luke did not get the chance to finish him. The hum of a lightsaber forced him to turn around and face Olin. Luke immediately understood why this Jedi had not taken full part in the duel. He was pathetic. Brave, but pathetic. They traded several blows down the corridor, but Luke was significantly stronger and faster. One well placed stab through the chest and Olin was gone.

Luke spun around, anticipating Kenobi's retaliation for Olin's demise. But Kenobi was gone. Luke spotted his shadow disappear around a far corner. Luke snorted and started forward, but stopped. Coming back to Olin he took the Jedi's lightsaber and clipped it to his belt.

Luke returned to Organa's office. Wherever Kenobi had scrambled off to, Luke was disinterested in getting caught in a trap or being used against his father by the Jedi scum. Right now he needed information. He commed Solo and told him to keep a look out for Kenobi.

Organa was at his desk, trying to raise alarms on the broken equipment. Luke casually threw the pieces aside with the Force, easily getting the senator's attention.

"That was not part of the plan." Luke shook his head as he came to the desk and offered Bail a little grin.

Organa looked white as a sheet. "Are they..."

"One of them. The big one, Olin. He seemed nice."

"He was." Organa said in a whisper.

Luke sighed and sank into one of the chairs. "Alright Senator, you're going to tell me all I want to know. Or I'll just rip it out of you."

Organa slowly sat down as well and nervously folded his hands. Luke opened his mouth to ask his first of many questions, but Organa beat him to it.

"You've grown."

Luke frowned and tilted his head at the Senator. "Pardon?"

Organa swallowed. "You've grown." He said more clearly. "You look like your father."

Luke's gaze narrowed. "You don't know my father. You don't know me. We've never met."

"You're wrong." Organa said, eerily calm for someone who had just argued at a Sith. "I knew your father during the Clone War-"

"You knew Darth Vader?" Luke interrupted.

Organa chuckled without humor. "I knew Anakin Skywalker. The man Darth Vader was before the death of his wife and supposed death of his children."

Luke shook his head. "I don't understand." Luke was not understanding a lot at the moment. He should be torturing this fool for information on Kenobi. Not listening to some odd tale. Still...

"I know you don't." Organa had a sympathetic, sad expression. "You were born in a time of genocide. Your abilities made your future questionable. So you were sent somewhere safe, Tatooine."

Again Luke shook his head. "I want to know where Kenobi is."

"It was my fault." Organa continued, not even listening to Luke. "My daughter was in danger. I took the only means of protection you had away from you and your family. And you paid the ultimate price."

"What the hell are you saying?" Luke stood, holding his wound while he stared at Organa.

Organa sighed. "Kenobi and I... we abandoned you."

Luke took a step back. "Speak plainly senator." His chest was feeling tight.

Organa nodded. "He was supposed to protect you from the Emperor, train you if you had a connection to the Force. You didn't appear to have any. But Leia..."

"Leia?"

"Your twin sister."

Luke's brows furrowed.

Organa looked close to tears. "Kenobi said you would be safe because you had no abilities in the Force. He said he wanted to take on Leia as his student."

Luke squeezed his eyes shut. "You're telling me... that Kenobi is the reason-" Nausea was rising. His wound was burning. "A Jedi was supposed to be watching me?"

Organa nodded.

Luke took a deep breath, forbidding the nausea any further control. "Tell me everything. From the very start."
