The Warrior carefully sits down on the Tardis floor. He wonders what impact his actions have on his own personal future. He wonders if his actions will lead to irreversible damage in his own personal timeline or if the paradoxes could snap the very foundations of time or perhaps, some powerful entity will make him face trial and punishment for his actions in the future or maybe the universe will make sure everything works out like it always does.
Regardless, the warrior has changed for good. Whilst this life was born from death and failure, it does not defined by it. He decides to make the most of his new lease in life with a trip across time and space. Somewhere quiet and relaxing like the lost city of Atlantis or the VE parties of WW5 or the planet Barcelona. He wonders how little he has before his memories fade, and he makes those fantastic men he met go through a life of wrath and worriment and woe and…
Wait…
Was that...?
The warrior feels his eyelids become heavier, his hearts slowing down before a familiar rush of energy courses through his veins. His cells start to repair and renew themselves. He realizes what is happening, the last thing on his mind. He almost tries to fight it before realizing why it is happening.
He has a role to play in the universe and there is no need for a warrior anymore.
A golden light starts to shine out from the Timelord's body.
"Oh yes, of course. I suppose it makes sense. Wearing a bit thin." He chuckled.
The only thing he can do left for the universe, and it was an honour to carry it out.
"I won't remember that I tried to save Gallifrey rather than burn it. I'll have to live with that."
The celestial flames grow, primed to forge a men far greater and kinder then himself.
"But for now, for this moment…"
He had spent a lifetime breaking promises, but this would be the only one he will keep. The only one he knows he will keep.
"I am the Doctor once more".
The Doctor smiles warmly and closes his watering eyes in peace as the shimmering regeneration energy flows harmlessly out from his body. Every cell in his body renewed and reborn, imbuing new life to his essence. The energy glides through the Tardis, softly weaving in and out of every pillar before finally resting at the feet of the new man. He runs his fingers through his short hair and rather conspicuous ears. He gives a big toothy grin before proclaiming:
"Blimey!"
…
But before The Doctor can continue, he feels the neurons in his brain reset, his memories overlapping and being rewritten in the haze of post regeneration. His last words echoing and racing through his mind "I am the Warrior no more". No more. No more. Catching a glimpse of his reflection in a glass roundel, he is overcome with hatred and guilt.
After grabbing a hammer, the Doctor rages through the Tardis destroying every mirror and source of light in fury until all that is left is a dark broken room and a new man born of blood and anger. The man looks at his shattered Tardis with his piercing blue-grey eyes and instead of words, he lets out a cry of rage and sorrow.

Authors notes
This one was really fun, seeing what had changed and what was the same with 'The Warriors repent'. I stole 'Blimey' from 'Doctor Who and the Time War' by Russell T Davies and I was inspired by this watch?v=o0MABc70atg&ab_channel=Oliver272 especially the part where his smile vanishes when his memories reset.
