Currently running through the streets of Queens New York is a young man named Jayden Silver. Jayden has dark skin with black hair cut low to his head and sports an average build. He is in basic street clothes and the reason he is running is because his school came under attack by criminals known as the Purifiers.
The Purifiers are a group of mutant hating people, and they have some strange technology, and that technology could apparently detect the activated X-gene within people. Several students were killed, and Jayden was one of the students to somehow make it out of the school, but the Purifiers are hot on his trail.
One of them attacked Jayden with a knife and cut his side, which triggered Jayden's power to awaken itself. Jayden was understandably shocked as purplish black energy seeped out of his knife wounds and hands before a shockwave of energy burst out of him, causing the man to get sent flying while also hitting a few other students.
Jayden saw the looks on his classmates faces when the event happened. They became scared of him and frankly, Jayden was now scared of himself and simply ran as fast as he could out of the school.
Jayden just ran past dozens of people uncaring about how he looked as he heard the Purifiers closing in on him, along with some police sirens. Jayden's mind was racing, and he had tears streaming down his face from the pain and stress.
"Jayden, everything is going to be alright." A mysterious, yet calming voice said within Jayden's mind, which did help a little bit, but it made Jayden question his sanity even more. However, his attention was brought back to reality when a Purifier tackled him onto the ground and positioned Jayden onto his back with his legs and hands pined to the ground.
"Got you now, mutant." The man said with pure hatred in his voice as he is dressed in a robe similar to the KKK, but with a black cross across the chest.
Jayden looked around for help but saw that the area was being controlled by the Purifiers, who had stolen some police cars, which meant that the sirens Jayden heard, weren't from the police who could have saved him, and now the 'normal' people are being forced out at gun point from technologically advanced weapons.
"Let me go! I didn't do anything!" Jayden shouted before the Purifier punched his nose hard enough that Jayden heard a sick sounding crunch and felt intense pain from his now bloodied nose, making more tears fall down his face.
"Shut the fuck up your mutant filth! Your existence is already a blight on our planet! Don't you dare try to beg for your pitiful life!" The man said before grabbing Jayden's throat with both hands and started chocking him.
"Brother, we need him alive." Another Purifier said to the man chocking Jayden, who scratched and clawed at the man's arms, as the shadows around Jayden's hands didn't seem to do anything at the moment. When Jayden's vision started to darken, he felt something in his body change and the shadows started getting thicker, but the voice in his head came back to him and spoke, before something else happened.
"Hold on a bit longer Jayden, we are reaching your position now." The voice said again as Jayden didn't understand why all this was happening, but he tried to hang on like the voice said. He thought of his mother, father and sister. He thought of seeing them again and he got angry when he thought of the man taking him away from them like this.
Jayden struggled harder now and started flailing around harder than before. The man tried to position himself on top of Jayden to regain control before Jayden screamed and his powers reacted.
"Get off!" Jayden screamed with all his might as he tried to push the man off. The shadow like energy within Jayden surged forth and a torrent of shadow like energy burst out of Jayden's hands and sent the purifier flying into a light pole, which caused the man's back to snap in a painful arch, much to Jayden's shock.
However, when he tried to get up to run away, he was knocked back down to the ground by the other Purifier, who hit Jayden with the butt of his rifle. Jayden's head was now in a haze, and he felt dizzy. He saw his shadow energy flickering away from his body, and when the Purifier grabbed him by the shirt collar, he couldn't find the energy to resist or fight back.
"Little shit." The Purifier cursed in anger while Jayden was mentally apologizing to his family.
'I'm sorry mom and dad. I'm sorry Karina…I tried my best to get out of this. I don't want to die and leave all of you.' Jayden thought to himself as he prepared himself to meet death, but he was caught off guard when he was suddenly dropped to the ground as the Purifier holding him by the collar had been hit by what looked like a red beam of energy.
Jayden looked towards the direction the beam came from and he saw the X-men in action. He recognized them from the news stories and thought that they were cool, like the fantastic four.
Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Wolverine, Gambit, Colossus Storm, and Lifeguard.
"Are you alright?" Lifeguard asked as she walked up to Jayden to help him up. Lifeguard's body is entirely made of gold, and she didn't bother with a protective suit like the other X-men. Her gold form only showed that she was female, but it didn't show anything else such as a nipple or her womanhood. She also has an Australian accent to her voice.
"No." Jayden said weakly as he was helped up. Lifeguard then put her hand on his chest and with focused effort, Jayden suddenly felt strange. His body started healing and the injuries mended themselves quickly, even his broken nose.
Jayden saw Colossus, Gambit, Wolverine and Marvel Girl handling the Purifier group with practiced teamwork as Beast walked up to him.
"Sorry for the wait young man. But thankfully we managed to make it in time to save you from these ruffians." Beast said in a kind tone of voice.
Jayden tried to stand on his own, but he still didn't have the energy. Lifeguard managed to heal his injuries quickly, but his stamina was a different story.
"Don't push yourself." Lifeguard added with a concerned, yet stern look.
"Sorry. Thank you for helping me. These Purifiers attacked the school and when everything got crazy, I ran away as fast as I could. Those guys were just killing people and tried to kill me, just because of these weird powers I suddenly have." Jayden said to himself as the shadow energy he created had long since left his body, but he could still strangely feel the sensation of the energy on his skin.
"The Purifiers are a troublesome group I'm afraid. But your safe now young man. So, let us handle the Purifiers. Someone else wishes to speak with you." Beast said before he pointed to the right behind him.
Jayden looked in the direction and he saw none other than Professor Xavier himself. Lifeguard helped him get closer to the professor so they could speak.
"Greetings Jayden. I trust that Lifeguard has tended to your injuries properly." Xavier said with a smile and Jayden nodded his head and looked away from the professor. Not as a form of disrespect, but because he always has trouble making and keeping eye contact with people.
"Yes, she did." Jayden said back sadly. "Everything just got so crazy so fast."
"I'm sure it did. That's why we are here. Now come with me; we must speak with your parents about what has happened." Xavier explained before Jayden looked back at the fight happening.
"What about them?" Jayden asked with concern for the heroes. Who were just finishing things up with the Purifiers.
"They have the situation well in hand." Xavier assured him before Jayden, Lifeguard and Storm followed Xavier to Jayden's home.
Jayden's family was surprised and shock to see him along with the X-men before the situation was properly explained in detail.
"My son was attacked at school…He's a mutant…I just don't know why all this is happening. Even if Jayden is a mutant, that doesn't make him any less of a person." Jayden's mother said with a mixture of anger and sadness.
Jayden's mother and father are Janet and Roman respectively. Both office workers happened to have the day off today. Both parents were equally upset about what had happened today.
"I understand that Mrs. Silver. Unfortunately, some people in this world just aren't willing or ready to accept that. They find it easier to hate and despise others for simply being different." Xavier said back sadly. "But that is why I wanted to speak with you about your son. He is a kind and sweet young man, with a gift that is misunderstood. So, I would like to enroll him at my institute for gifted students like him."
"You want to enroll our son?" Roman asked in shock as Xavier nodded his head.
"I do. Your son is blessed with many gifts that are misunderstood. Both in his powers and his place on the spectrum. I believe that my school would be a good fit for him. A place where he can be around others like himself."
"Can we have time to think it over?" Janet asked as Xavier nodded his head before leaving with the rest of his X-men team in order to give the family some privacy.
Jayden spoke with his parents for a good portion of time before a decision was made. That decision was that Jayden would be transferring to Xavier's school. His sister Karina helped him pack his things before he had a rolling suitcase of the necessary things he needed.
Xavier and the others had been waiting for him and soon enough, Jayden followed the X-men to the jet they managed to park and was heading towards Xavier's school for gifted mutants.

"Whoa." Jayden said in awe at what he saw when the X-jet landed on the basketball court/landing zone. The lower interior floor of the school was almost futuristic in design, and everything looked so cool.
"These are the lower floors. Maybe one day you'll be able to get a full tour of this section, but for now you are heading straight to the upper floor into the actual academy. Jean and Scott can show you to your new room as well as give you a tour of the academy itself." Xavier explained.
"Got it." Jayden said back and followed his fellow teens to the higher floors of the mansion.
"Professor, there is something strange about that boy's powers." Lifeguard said to the professor.
"What do you mean Heather?"
"His powers felt strange…Like they rejected the healing I offered and instead mimicked it to a lesser degree. I most likely won't be able to heal him again, but I do believe that his power has formed a minor healing factor from being exposed to my healing." Heather said in a serious voice confusing a few other X-men members while Xavier was intrigued by what Lifeguard had just said.
"So, what? He suddenly stole your powers?" Logan asked as the Australian woman shook her head.
"Not exactly. It's hard to describe. But what I know is that his power rejects and possibly absorbs outside elements and copies them to a lesser degree, as well as builds a resistance to those outside forces as well. To what degree I don't know, but what I do know is that his mutation is a powerful one." Heather replied with concern.
"Who cares about the details. The choom is a good kid, right? I'm sure he ain't going to doing anything evil." Gambit aka Remy LeBeau said with a causal smirk as Logan rolled his eyes.
"Well, I could examine his unique mutation if you want professor." Beast aka Hank said back.
"That would be more then enough. He'd have to take a medical evaluation while he is here anyway, so see if you can get a medical understanding of Jayden's gift after he settles in. We don't want to burden him with unnecessary actions yet." Xavier said before the group split up into the mansion.
The only one who didn't have to change was Heather. Her unique mutation didn't exactly have an off switch after all. It made her a bit jealous of Piotr honestly, but then again, he couldn't heal people, so she at least took solace in the fact that her powers were good at helping people, even if it brought her unnecessary attention.
After the mission in Brazil Heather didn't want to vacation or even hear of that place again…Not when she accidentally started a cult by healing some natives. But that's a story for another time.
