Gotta keep running, can't stop, have to keep pushing, but I can't just ignore the screams can I? I mean I'm Sonic the Hedgehog. No, I'm his clone and this isn't my world, but it doesn't mean that I still don't remember everything like he did. I liked it here, it was nice, it reminded me of home and it was peaceful, until this world's Sonic lost his marbles when Sally Acorn died at Eggman's fortress. I watched everything from the shadows trying to not butt in on something that I had no business with, and in fear of what they might think of me but the way this Sonic absorbed the Chaos Emeralds frightened me even more, the way his fur turned black and the devilish grin and pupiless eyes that now made his face, I can't understand why he would willfully turn into Dark Sonic and turn on his friends. Not that it matters now, I'm gonna run to a new world, a new place, try and make a new home. Even if the people I called friends in my world are dying? Can I afford to break my promise? And what will they think of me? No now I just keep running. I lean my head forward and try to ignore the screams but one scream shocks my brain as all the memories of my past flood my brain. The memories of Sonic the Hedgehog from my world, his first encounter with Eggman, the first time he ever met Tails, the first time he met Knuckles, the first time he went Super, and the first time he met her. Amy Rose, the most beautiful, kind, and protective hedgehog in the universe, the woman who was there for both Sonic and me. The memories I made start to play next, fighting Sonic for the first time, turning on Eggman, Sonic giving me my name, and watching them all die at the hands of Mecha. I try to push forward and ignore the memories but another scream shocks my brain as I skid to a halt, turn around and bolt towards the blood curdling screams of this world's Amy Rose, a golden aura surrounding me as I speed towards the destruction and screams. My feet lift off the ground as my tail grows larger with an arrow-like point at the end, the spikes on the back of my head lift straight up, my belly fur turns red, and my fangs slowly shrink back. I speed through several Badniks as I enter the village and Spin Dash into Sonic knocking to the side. Knuckles and Tails look at me in confusion and uncertainty but grateful. Amy huddles against a wall with Cream, and Vanilla as Sonic stands up wiping a smudge of dirt off of his cheek. I stand in front of Amy, hands extended out wards, as Sonic walks towards us with a dark eerie laughter, "and who might you be?"
"The hedgehog who's gonna stop you!" I grunt, clenching my fist and digging my heels into the ground.
"They already tried that. Twice," He laughs pointing to Silver and Shadow on the ground as he stands feet away from me.
"I'm a wild card, and I know you better than you do," I say smirking, as Amy slightly looks up at me, with a tear in her eye prepared for the worst.
"How so? Oh and might I ask how you managed to get into that form without the Emeralds? " Sonic asks creepily.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, let's just say it's a trade secret," I say as he jerks his head in realization.
"You're from another world aren't you? You're me!" Sonic laughs, slapping his knee as Amy, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow all look at me in surprise.
"If we want to get technical yes I'm you, but in reality I'm not you, I'm a clone, and yes I'm from another world but that doesn't change anything I'm still the hedgehog that's gonna stop you," I say pointing at Sonic before sticking my thumb to my chest.
"Sure, we'll see Faker!" He laughs as I Spin Dash into him. Sonic pushes me off as I fire a blast of energy. I throw a punch and smack Sonic into the ground. Sonic lunges at me and bites into my shoulder tearing off some fur. I scream and tackle him, boosting out of the village and through the Green Hill Zone. Sonic laughs as we crash down into an open plain and I skid bakcwards to a halt. I grunt, wiping a smudge off my lip, "Time to end this." "I couldn't agree more Faker." "The name's not faker!" I shout scraping off some of his fur with my knuckles. I barrage him with punches as fast as I can. He smirks and kicks me in the face as Tails and Knuckles rush onto the scene. I scream in pain as Sonic slashes my left eyelid leaving a huge gash of blood. I hold my eye and stumble back digging my feet into the ground. Sonic lunges towards me with a maniacal smile but I grab his neck and rocket up towards space. I muster all the energy I have left into my fist as we exit the atmosphere and punch Sonic in the face sending him so far that he becomes a twinkle in the black void of space. I start to fall back towards Mobius as my Super form fades away and my quills return to normal. I curl into a ball as I begin planetary reentry and the heat begins to rise. I land on the edge of the loop ramp uncurling as I boost up the loop. The villagers all look at me with a mix of untrust and gratitude as I bolt into the village and skid to a halt with Tails asking, "Who are you?" "The name's Speedy," I smirk remembering the name my Sonic gave me when we first met, my name, "Speedy the Hedgehog!"
