Hello, I'm new here in the business of writing fanfiction. I was reading some stories and a lot of them have criticized the female lead, I guess am not the only one who has talked about this, some two or three others have talked about this and well for me I will state it. "Ga Eul didn't deserve to be the female lead because firstly she was too gentle to act as the female lead and secondly, even though she's beautiful more than Jan Di, she didn't have that unique charm that Jan Di had" And also, the directors found her not fit to be the female lead, her character in this story only suit her as a support role. Too bad most authors Judge Jan Di as a real person, not a character so I will state it again and again, Ga Eul only deserved to be the support character with either Woo Bin or Yi Jeong. And in My story, she will appear but not so much because my focus will be on the Janhoo couple.
My story is just an inspiration of mine and it will start a year after Jun Pyo's leave for America to expand Shinhwa.
Disclaimer: I don't own boys over flowers characters.
It has been a year since Gu Jun Pyo left for America to build the Shinhwa group and establish a name for himself in business. Gu Jun Pyo had finally matured, and the F4 had grown up since meeting Geum Jan Di and Chu Ga Eul. They had matured into responsible men who were admired by everybody.
Geum Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo frequently chatted on the phone and did a lot of video chatting, but their connection has dwindled with time.
Ga Eul, on the other hand, has not yet consented to a partnership with So Yi Jeong. She was terrified of it from the start because of how he had treated her in the past. Yi Jeong had also gone to Sweden to further his studies and advance in the field of pottery. Despite their hectic schedules, Ga Eul and Yi Jeong frequently speak. Yi Jeong frequently reminds Ga Eul of the promise he made to her before leaving.
Yoon Ji Hoo and Geum Jan Di's soulmate connection has become stronger. They weren't a couple, yet they were inseparable. Not even a little fly could break their unbreakable relationship.
Jan Di no longer resided at his residence with him when her parents moved to the city. Grandpa Yoon Seok Young insisted, but her parents wouldn't allow her, especially after Gu Jun Pyo spoke a few things to them hence stopping her from living with Ji Hoo. Jun Pyo had gone ahead and bought a townhouse, claiming that the previous one was too small, but he was actually trying to compensate for his shortcomings as a boyfriend, and in order to get Jan Di's father to like him more, which Jan Di had declined, but her mother is obsessed with a comfortable life, so she agreed. Madam Kang had insulted her for it, which was why she had decided to reside in the school's hostels. At Ji Hoo finding out, he got himself a hostel but Jan Di had insisted that Grandfather would be left alone but she promised to visit daily and update him on her living conditions.
Ji Hoo reluctantly agreed to it but said that he would be giving her rides to and from every day to give him and his grandfather peace of mind.
Monday morning...
Jan Di dashed out of her dormitory and into her lecture room. If you took a leisurely stroll, the apartments were 10 to 15 minutes away from the girl's dorms, but only five minutes if you were in a hurry. She had overslept today and had almost forgotten she had an Anatomy test. Today, she had prevented Ji Hoo from giving her a ride as usual so as not to bother him, even though he didn't mind at all. They had spent the previous night at his house preparing for the test. She could see he was exhausted, but Ji Hoo refused to comprehend it.
When she entered the lecture hall, she saw that the professor had not yet come, which caused her to sigh a relief and be happy that he wasn't in yet. She walked in to find Ji Hoo sitting in his regular seat, and there was a bag on the other seat, indicating that he had kept it for her, as he usually does if she doesn't get a ride from him.
She smiled and thanked him for his kindness and took a seat. "Good morning," she said as she greeted him.
Ji Hoo smiled and kissed her on the cheek. He then pulled away and said, "Good morning."
His hand moved to her round cheek, which he had kissed and stroked with the back of his fingers. Something he had become accustomed to in the year they had been together. "How did you sleep last night, Otter?"
Otter, her nickname, became stuck. He seldom used it in public, but seeing him use it was unusual to her. "I slept well." Actually, I slept far too well.
"I'm glad," he said, his face glowing with a smile. "Are you ready?"
"Yes, I am. What about you? Are you ready?"
"Me too. "I'm ready."
The professor entered the room with the exam papers and answer shits. The lecturer gave them an hour and a half to complete each of the questions. And as soon as Ji Hoo and Jan Di opened the test paper, they exchanged a glance and smiled.
They had read ahead of the topic that the professor had not thoroughly discussed, and of course, while everyone was groaning and whimpering, Ji Hoo and Jan Di took advantage of the opportunity to answer the questions. A girl next to Ji Hoo began whimpering, pleading for Ji Hoo's assistance, but he respectfully rejected, stating that it was inappropriate.
Since the moment she arrived in the room, Hae Ra had been watching Ji Hoo and Jan Di interact. She had been scoffing and sneering the entire time while Jan Di blushed at Ji Hoo's behavior towards her.
It had become Ji Hoo and Jan Di's regular greeting, but the girls at the school couldn't get enough of it. They called it cute and some preferred watching them all day interact but it was impossible. Hae Ra has had a crush on Ji Hoo since he switched from Music to Medicine class but she has never got his attention even for a second. His focus was always on Geum Jan Di...
Jan Di and Ji Hoo stood up from their chairs an hour later, both clutching their bag packs. "Excuse me?" he said, motioning for Hae Ra to make room for them to pass. Ji Hoo went by her while she pouted at him, but it didn't work. Only Jan Di's doe eyes affected him.
Ji Hoo turned to face Jan Di as she strained to get past the tiny lady who was shooting deadly daggers at her and forcing her into the desk, injuring her. With an injured arm, he offered his hand to her and assisted her in moving away from the desks.
"Jan Di-ah," he said as he stroked her wounded elbow. He took out his hankie and wiped the wound. "Does it hurt?" he asked softly.
"No, it's only a scratch," she replied. "Let us just turn in our paperwork."
Ji Hoo nodded and placed his arm over her shoulder before leading her to the professor, who nodded and said they may leave. The professors here were more mature than at Shinhwa high school, but the students were also the same. Bullying her and looked down on her, but she knew how to protect herself and had Ji Hoo defend her from the school bullies.
Jan Di pondered if Ji Hoo was a person or a God as they went out of the room. She expected him to be upset with her after she rejected him on the island. Instead, he became more brazen. He didn't hold anything back in his heart as he used to. Whatever was on his thoughts would just come out without him having to think about it. He always appeared more romantic to her. It was awkward at first, but after she got to know him as a man, it seemed entirely natural, and she recalled how their grandfather had advised her to accept him completely so she could get to know him better and enjoy him as a man.
This all began with buying her favorite ice cream on the street one weekend. He had duped her into thinking he was terrified of being alone at home because Grandfather always went on a Friday and returned on a Monday. She had rushed to his house right away, only to discover that he was alright.
When he watched her rush inside the house, he couldn't help but smile. He had informed her that he wanted to know if she cared about him. And, of course, she was irritated the entire afternoon until he decided to take her to a nearby street to have her favorite ice cream. There was only one large cone remaining. Jan Di proposed going somewhere with more ice cream, but the man claimed it would be more romantic if they shared it to see whether they were destined to be together.
And during their Ice cream sharing, their lips had occasionally brushed as they ate. Jan Di thought it was strange at first until the ice cream guy stated it was his time to prove if they were destined to be together, and of course, he wanted to prove it.
He had shared the final piece of ice cream cone with her, and they had ended up sharing a simple kiss.
Jan Di had been afraid after the kiss, but he had begged her to ignore it, but it appeared to him that he couldn't ignore the kiss. He had been smiling when she wasn't looking, and he had put on a motionless façade when she did.
The day did not come to an end there. He had brought her to a neighboring shop and bought an expensive chocolate white bar for her as a congratulatory gift for passing the examinations. She had smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek.
Of course, he had taken her to his house that evening. He suggested cooking for her because he now knew how to make wonderful meals. He had put on a movie to watch with her after dinner, and of course, all nice things must come to an end at some point. Jan Di had to go home since his best friend Woo Bin had arrived at his house drunk for no apparent reason.
It was a day to remember.
"Sunbae, thank you for yesterday," she added gratefully. "You've been a huge help to me, and I don't know how to thank you."
Ji Hoo smiled and nodded. "That's not something you should say. I already stated it. I would go to any length for you."
"I know, but I still want to thank you."
"If you want to thank me, let's go out this weekend like we're on a date, and I won't accept no for an answer," he said confidently.
"All right, captain," she said, smiling.
Every time he was happy with her, he always flashed his flawless smile, the one he knew she loved. "Good. Valentine's Day is coming up on Saturday. I'll come to get you."
"Hmm," she hummed, wrapping her arms around his waist. She sighed and hoped that when the results came in the next day, everything would be OK.
"Don't worry," Ji Hoo said, sensing her uneasiness and concern. "We worked hard, and I'm confident we'll pass. Come on, I'll take you to your next lecture." Ji Hoo was familiar with her class schedule and was aware that she had a break before her next class.
"It's OK. I was simply going to walk to the library and study for a few minutes before my next lesson," Jan Di said.
"I'll join you. I have a few minutes and could use a brief rest." Ji Hoo's propensity of falling asleep in strange places persisted. His favorite place was the library up to now. The second was the stairway, where they continued meeting for leisure and time alone.
"Sunbae, I'm jealous that you have time to sleep when I'm always studying like crazy. I believe this comes too easy for you "With a little pout, she said.
"It is not simple. I, too, must study "He poked her in the face. She didn't quite believe him.
They took their time walking into the library. Jan Di went to her favorite table and picked out a large stack of books. Ji Hoo grinned and sagged in the corner next to her table. He gave her a short glance, seeing she was completely focused. He smiled comfortably and closed his eyes. His bangs, which were now darker, fell softly over the right side of his face.
Jan Di checked her watch after around 50 minutes. "Oh."
She put down the bio-chemistry book she was reading and strolled up to Ji Hoo, who looked to be fast sleeping. She knelt, waved her palm in front of his face, and murmured his name, the new softer method she'd become used to waking him up. She was certain he enjoyed not being woken up from slumber by her yelling and shouting as in the past.
He opened his eyes, a smile spreading over his face as he saw her face.
She indicated her watch. "Your math lesson is about to begin." She was also well-versed in his class schedule.
"I'm your firefighter, and you've become my timekeeper?"
She grinned and nodded. She grinned and nodded. "That's all I can do. And, notwithstanding, we slept late last night, and I'm sure I slept better than you. You can nap in my room after your lesson because you have the key."
Ji Hoo had taken Jan Di's room key and copied it. She had argued with him when she discovered him sleeping on her bed a few months after starting medical school, but she had quickly softened after watching him sleep soundly.
"It'll be all right. I've got my bike, but I need to get going. However, I will accept your offer to nap on your bed."
He felt the need to kiss her goodbye like a couple would, but immediately remembered their status and gave her a chaste kiss on the cheek instead.
He had to remind himself recently that they weren't a relationship, but rather closest friends. He wondered why he needed to remind himself of this at all, given that there was no reason anybody would mistake them for a couple. They were usually together, ate together, seemed to know what each other was thinking, and occasionally even finished one other's sentences.
She no longer lived with him, something he had to admit he missed, despite the fact that it drove him insane. Despite being rejected, he'd become comfortable and managed to control his emotions.
He knew it would be difficult to contain himself around her after that one time he kissed her after sharing Ice cream. He had chosen to show her his other side, which most people were unaware of, and he could see she was appreciating it.
He was also often jealous, especially when boys approached her. He knew it was none of his business, but he made it clear to everyone at school that she was also off-limits to him.
Ji Hoo reflected on this as he exited the library, he mounted his bike around the corner and rode toward the building where he would have his mathematics lecture.
Ji Hoo had never imagined being that close to someone. Even with Seo Hyun, he wasn't this close. Of course, he was young at the time. Nonetheless, he thought he and Jan Di belonged together, as the monk had stated.
She'd give him a family... He had hoped and secretly prayed that it meant something different, but he knew he wanted Jan Di in his life one way or another. He claimed to be her salvation, but she was his as well. She had transformed his life in countless ways, and though it still hurt, he couldn't imagine without being around her as often as possible. He groaned as he strolled inside his lecture hall, hands in his pockets, after parking his bike.
He found Jan Di asleep in her bed after his lecture. The bed was spacious, and he knew Jan Di wouldn't object if he slept close to her. He smiled and removed his shoes and jacket before placing his bag pack where she had placed hers. He recalled how he had forcefully bought all of the furniture in the room, including the mattress and linens. The reading table, the fridge, the portable gas cooker, and the closet were all his doing.
He smiled once more and placed his lips on her nose before laying his head on the pillow.
That was the first chapter.
I have another Idea. I just wrote it along with this, that way I won't forget about it.
Tell me what you think.
