I'm not dead yet !
The two last fights left Fairy Tail speechless. Clearly, things were not going well for them.
"Damn it Gray ! " Natsu screamed, unhappy about White Eclipse winning another match, while Wendy rushed over the field to heal Gray.
"What an idiot" Lyon shook his head, disappointed.
"Two defeats the same day, that's not going well" Mavis frowed, worried about the unnoficial tournament's result.
"What are we going to do ?" Cynthia asked, hoping a answer from anyone.
"This is going to be troublesome" Carla though aloud, which not help at all.
"It's time for the real ones to do the jobs I guess" Gajeel cracked his knuckles from anticipation. "I'll show you weakling how to win"
"I'll be honest, I am more excited than I though I would be" Aura stetched her arms. Judging by the levels of the wizards from the two guilds, things mighted be boring, however, she found this quite entertaining with a little of suspens.
"This is only the beginning. The wind will turn and we should get the victory" Erza rised everyone's spirit, or partially at least.
"Erza-san sure know how to remain optimist" Wendy giggled, not worried as much. After all, she saw Fairy Tail getting up over and over again, despite the difficulties.
"Personally, I'm not surprised. In any case, they are too idiotic to give up like that" Carla said, hiding a small smile.
"It's great to hear all that" Mira clapped her hands. "I'll make sure tonight's dinner will revigorate all of you"
"Yay!" Cynthia enjoyed herself, a bit too much.
Makarov nodded at the statement. He his happy to know that once again, his children will rise again.
"Excuse me, master Makarov ?"Makarov turned his head, spotting Jason who waved at him.
"Something's matter, Master ?" Erza asked.
"Go with the others, I'll join you". With these words, Makarov went to the other side to see Jason.
While in Fairy Tail's side, the ambiance was down by the events, it's not quite the same for White Eclipse.
"Now look at the best who roll over the losers" boasted Cygnus, arms opened widely with a smug face.
"Please not that again " Taya rolled her eyes, same for Selene.
"This will be an easy pick, just like the other times" Reve snickered. "All we need to do is waiting for them to throw the towel "
"Too bad, I wanted to hit a few more of them " Cygnus almost complained.
"I-It can't end here" Mare shook his head, innocently believing what his guildmates said.
"How cute " Aira patted his head " It's not true, you know ? Fairy Tail Is not like that"
"True, they are too thick headed to admit their inévitable defeat" Luke added another layer, which started to annoy Yuri.
"It's always like that ?" She asked the quiet ones.
"It happens when they are excited, especially when they beat fairies" Arc explained.
"You will get used to it. If people like my brother or Taya can handle them, then you too, I'm sure about it" Zalen added.
"If it can assure you, they will get caught rather soon" Taya smirked, as if she knew it.
"Well " Calium clapped his hands, catching the attention. "You did a great job today, but remember that it's far from over. There are so many fights left. So go home and rest for the next part"
"Okay !" Most of the members replied while making their way back. Except Calium who approached Jason along with Makarov and whispered something without anyone else around to hear.
"Huh? Where did grandpa go ?" Natsu looked behind him, his nose telling that one soul is missing.
"I saw him going to this weird guy after we left" Cynthia replied
"With Jason ? I wonder why " Lucy gripped her chin in though.
"Who cares ? I just want to drink and forget about today." Cana rumbled.
"I can't wait for my turn again" Cynthia tighed her fists. "Especially the glasses one, she seems so strong, right ?" She turned her head at Shizu, who nodded silently, without looking at her.
"You know, she looks like you, in some way" Gray's remark made the one eyes girl jumped.
"...Is that so ?"
"Yeah. I saw her only for one fight, but she is vastly different from the others eclipse craps. She end the fight quickly, without letting Lucy doing a win move"
"Kinda like you when you fight" Carla added.
Lucy nodded. "I confirm. Once she had an appoximation of my strenght, she didn't leave me a chance" She moved her head away,not wanting the others to see her face.
"You will get this Lucy" Natsu did a thumb up, encouraging the blonde.
"Maybe she is your secret sister" Happy said jokingly, rising a pawn.
"..." Shizu didn't reply, her brain was being overwelmed by the little blue cat. Fortunately for her she is little expressive, so nobody could notice it.
"Nah, that can't be the case" Natsu shrug off the mere thought of this. "If that was the case, she would never go with these shitheads"
Shizu let a breath out, relieve by Natsu's own weird logic. "We are not related"
Meanwhile they had their own discussion, Aura grabbed Laxus's coat, catching his attention.
"What do you want ?" He grumbled
"With this guy, Cygnus I think, and the pink haired girl. They both claim to be 'God Slayers', I know you, and others are Dragon Slayer. I am wondering, how common are all these things ?"
"So you didn't have met any Slayer yet ?" Mira asked. Now that she was thinking about it, Aura never actually ask about it.
"Well, no, but God Slayers, do they mean what they mean ?"
"Slayin' Gods ? Probably" Gajeel replied. "Like me, Salamander, the kiddos and Laxus have magic that can theorically kill dragons"
"What kind of dragon ?" Aura asked innocentle, making the others look at each other.
"Well, dragon, like, dragon. Y'know, the big bad beasts that can destroy towns by themself. The ones who by teh past dominate the world"
"But aren't you, excuse me, but a little weak to claim you can defeat these ?" Aura now see shameful faces.
"Next time, I will kick their scaled asses!" Natsu appeared from nowhere, hearing the conversation"
"Ah, we are finally here" Erza looked at the large building that was Fairy Tail's Headquarter. "It will get better if we get inside"
"What is it ? Why do you call us?" Calium asked Jason, same for Makarov. By pure curiosity, Galadriel stood behind them, discreetly
"This is something you must heard first as guild master. You see, despite this tournament being unnoficial, ther is actually a lot of people who watch this, A LOT. So, Yesterday, after the final fight, I got a call from King Tomas ?"
The king himself ? I hope these two guild did not fall into illegality. A 'tournament' between guilds like that, I now understand why they are worried. Galadriel asked to herself. For the fun, and see how her little ones are going, she watched the fights with a small doubt insede her:
The statement made the two elder men's eyes to widen. Amongst everything, this was for sure one of the most unpredictable reasons why they were called. "What do the king want ?" Makarov asked.
"Knowing the rumors about the clandestine fight between guild, he decided to act immediately, and for that..." Jason keep the suspens for himself, before a huge grin was drawing on his face. "He decided that the next sequences happen in the Domus Flau exeptionally! This will be even cooler".
Wait, What ? Galadriel wasn't expecting that reaction
"That's good to hear. Finally my children can fight on a proper area" Calium said haughty
"But the Magic Game are just finished, isn't that a little too soon ?" Makarov asked, skeptical.
"I'm not sure about that, people are eager to see Fairy Tail, even more recently" Jason lifted a thumb up.
"Hmm..." Makarov was in his thoughts until he noticed there was someone who was observing them.
"You don't need to hide anymore, show yourself" Calium ordored, a woman in armor approached from the darkness.
"Sorry, I was just curious why you stayed, so I kinda stay here too. I hope I didn't disturb you" Galadriel explained herself.
"Obviously not" Calium assured her. "You're Elian, right ? I think we've met one time before"
"Indeed, and thank you for the dinner last time. Things went a little off by the end, but we were not bored" Galadriel joked, but the events were still fresh inside the two master's heads.
"Yes, indeed... I'm sorry about my children's behaviour, even if they like to cause trouble. By the way, I'm Makarov Dreyar, master of Fairy Tail" Makarov extended his hand, which Galadriel grabbed it with great pleasure.
"I guess it's my time to indroduce myself. I'm Elian, Master of Darkness, as you already know"
"Your reputation is growing by the day. I must say that I'm impressed" Makarov said, genuinely surprised how we talked about them, especially their tiny number.
"Why, thank you. After the 7 years, it's great to see that Fairy Tail is up to the stage again" She turned her head toward Calium "And if I'm being honest, I'm equally surprise about your guild, I admit I never heard about it"
"That's normal, we are quite a discret guild. But now, I think it's time for Fiore to see what's the strongest guild" Calium launched a competitive glare at Makarov, who did the same.
"Speaking of that" Galadriel stopped the lightning between their glares "Would not be wiser to wait until the next Magic Game to compete ? It's kinda made for that, no ?"
"It's Master Calium who proposed this first. We only answer accordingly" Makarov stated before Calium could.
"It's for that I recieve the autorisation use the Domus Flau exceptionally, so there will be a max of people watching such cool fights" Jason moved his arm in a quick motion just at the though of it.
"I...see" Galadriel replied
Calium stroke his chin "This will change how we proceed. Two fights in the same day will be less than sufficient"
"I agree, bu then, how much can we do a day ?" Makarov wondered.
"Until when do you planned to call it a day ?" Galadriel asked.
"Hmm, I'd said when the sun start to set" Makarov proposed, he looked at Calium, who nodded in agreement"
"So it will be 4 or 5 matches a day" Galadirel though aloud, then she realised something. "Wait ! What about the final matches ?"
"Final matches ? I don't understand where are you getting at" Calium wanted to understand.
Galadriel cleared her thoart. "I just realise. By the end, there will only be a few fighters left, and if they fough successive battles, they will get too exhausted to fight accordingly to their abilities"
"That's a great point, miss Elian" Calium nodded. "But I suggest we think about that later. After all, we are far from the end" He smiled.
"I agree, my children will be worried if I take too much time" Makarov said before leaving.
"I should do the same. They can be restless sometimes" Calium did the same.
"Then it's decided. Tomorrow the tournament will continue, and it will get even BETTER !" Jason exclaimed himself, disappearing in the dusk, leaving the woman alone.
"You talk about laxism" Now that she was alone, Galadriel could express her thoughts. "If I was the king, I would cancel that tournament immediately. It's almost like Fairy Tail is his little favourite" It almost disgusted her. Just because it's Fairy Tail doesn't mean they have to close their eyes to this. It was like the superiors who gave credits to their pet, and nobody else. Not only where she used to work, but everywhere else.
"Maybe I should send someone to spy this government. Yes, that's a good idea" She made her way back to her newfound Guild, still talking to herself.
"So, we were at the part when I said that you were a bit weaker to kill dragons" Aura summarized once they were at the Guild, eating a burger. Next to her was Erza, Mira, Shizu; who hug Carla and Happy a bit too much and the dragon slayers except Laxus.
"Wait, YOU FOUGHT DRAGONS !" Cynthia cried out in awe. Except what was her lacrima, she never heard anything about dragons. "Amazing!"
"Hehe, actually, it was not an even fight" Wendy, the less cocky of the slayers, explained sheepishly.
"Wrong. In fact, I beat one" Natsu lifted his hand nonchalantly, causing the Nazarick members to look at him with suspicious eyes, not knowing if he lied or not.
"You just kicked that bastard on its back. It was your dragon who did all the stuff" Gajeel grumbled.
"The old man just gave me a hand. Thanks to him I got infinite flames supply" Natsu rectified.
"So, to summarize, you have the power to fight dragons, but cannot actually do it, right ?" Aura said. Also, does the effectiveness work only on dragons ? Like, if they can defeat one, won't they mauled every non-dragons ennemy ? Like a Job Class ? She pondered.
"Next time I see one of them, I'll kick their asses" Smoke came out of Natsu's nostril as Aura got out of her thoughts.
"By the way, to answer your initial question" Erza capted Aura (and by extention, Shizu) "We don't know how many slayers there are. After all, there are multiple way of learning this type of magic"
"Yeah, like me, Gajeel or Wendy. It's our dragons who taught us the Dragon Slayer magic"
"While Sting and Rogue, from Sabertooth, has in addition a lacrima, like Cynthia,Laxus, or Cobra" Carla finished. She tapped Shizu's arm, signaling her to release her.
"Uhu" Aura was taking notes on a notepad. It was out of question to let out a such amount of informations.
"As for Chelia, she learnt her magic via a magic book only her could learn. Unfortunately, for the other ones. We are not sure, but if your curious, you may ask them" Mira said before going back to the bar, where a certain brunette was being impatient.
"But, you know, dragons are supposed to be extinct since a long time" Erza spelt out.
"But how -?"
"It's a long story, a very long. When we will have more time, we will explain to you two" Erza said before going away as well. Then, Natsu posed a hand on Shizu's shoulder with a big grin.
"You know, that's a shame you didn't come sooner, you miss so much things"
"You can talk ! I would love see dragons in real life!" Cynthia didn't leave her excitement. In fact, it was higher during the conversation "They must be so magnifical !"
"Don't be fooled, the only thing they want to do is to devour you" Carla tried to be delusional, without sucess.
The front foor suddenly opened, showing Makarov with hands behind his back. "You brats, I have an anouncement to do!"
