ChimaTigon: Got it. The Timeline are still in debate for me, but seeing your opinion, I can say this beyond FNAF 5 at least.
SomeoneHopeful: I just love this in deep. Everything you type in this just helps me improve the storyline I want this to go. Your opinion may it be, has been improving my imagination. So, seriously, thank you for your support, and hope I don't fail to entertain you...Also, if you read this chapter, you will find out a simple mistake you made. Nothing big, just that I had always been planning this part for it to be.
nexusplayer & Zer0theHedgehog: Children. This is FNAF, not Star Wars. Get your Jedi out of here and bring something related!
Done! Now, enjoy the chapter.
(3:10 AM, Corridor)
"Alright…No more distractions. Just go to the office, and ask questions without, read: try, making him uncomfortable." Fredina mumbled to herself as she made her way to the office to talk with Ellis.
She could not explain how this all happened. First, she made a wild goose, then she was asked by Chiku to deliver some pizza, then she got into small sparring with Fexa, and then she just…lost herself…
Again, she could not explain.
Thankfully, she was sure Ellis had finished his chores and was now in the office.
Reaching the doors, she knocks on the frame, "Ellis? You're here?" She peeks inside and finds Ellis sitting on the chair resting against it while his hat covers his face, hiding his expression. "Already tired? But it's barely half the shift." She walked up to him, "Listen, I…have something to ask, and I hope that is not uncomfortable and you can answer it."
…
…
…
"...Ellis?" She spoke to him again, getting no response. "Are you okay? You looked very active not too long ago." She placed her hand on his shoulder and slightly shook it.
Still no response.
"Hey, are you breathing?" Fredina got concerned as she placed her hand on his chest, feeling a pulse that calmed her. "Okay," She raised his hat. "Are you-"
!?
The hat fell off the side, into the floor.
Fredina felt her entire programming go haywire in terror when she saw the state of Ellis, as she step back. "Oh no…!"
Ellis' eyes were wide open, but instead of pupils, they were replaced by some sort of static interface. Like a TV having lost signal.
('Dammit!') Fredina cursed herself at this. ('I should have known she would do this! I couldn't even inform him in time about it!')
The thing is, there was something Fredina purposely did not inform Ellis about. She was hoping to give him some time to adjust and calm down about this predicament.
That the pizzeria had a spectrum guarding them…with a mix of feelings of humans that take this job.
"Dammit, Ellis…I can't help you on this." She whispered as she grabbed his cheek and caressed it. "I can only hope you'll survive."
(?)
He…wasn't sure what happened.
One moment, he was staring at two dark orbs with small white dots, and then, he was…sitting in some sort of small old office, with a tablet.
"...O…kay…" He mumbled in confusion, knowing he wasn't in his real office. He tried to get up, finding it impossible as if he was glued to it. "Weird dream…Now what?"
*Ring!*
He yelped in surprise when he heard a phone ring, which magically appeared on the table. It kept ringing for a few seconds before, and after seeing he had no other option, Ellis reached for it and answered the call. "H-Hello?"
"...Hello, Ellis." Spoke for the other line a female voice. He couldn't point it out, but she sounded a bit…like Fredina.
"F-Fredina?" He asked.
"Close." She replied. "I must apologize for this scene change, but it's the only way I can talk to you at the moment."
"M-Moment?" Ellis repeated.
"I do believe Fredina was hoping to inform you of my existence at a much later date." She said with a sigh. "But we cannot wait any longer." He could tell that whoever this was was waiting…for something for a very long time. "I've been waiting for you for so long."
"Y-You have?"
"Of course. I promised to you we would meet again…"
"H-Huh?" Ellis was left confused. Met?
"...It seems that my fears were correct." There was a tone of sadness and regret. "You…don't remember, do you?"
"R-Remember?" Ellis asked. Was he supposed to remember something important?
"Is okay. I don't and won't blame you for forgetting." It said, "Because whenever we like it or not, you have returned to me."
To her?
"I know you have questions, but I cannot answer them to you just yet." She replied before a static noise came out. "Sorry Ellis, but I need you to do something for me."
"...W-What?"
"...I need you to play a game."
…
…
…
"Huh?!"
Let's get some things straight; he was suddenly transported into some sort of place. He got into a talk with someone that sounds like the bear mama, got dumped by an info bomb of something of his past that he's supposed to remember, revealing that there's more to it than he knows, and now after she said all this mysterious shit, she wants him to play a game?!
"PFFFT!"
…Did he just hear a snort?!
"Sorry! Sorry! I couldn't contain myself!"
"Are you kidding me!?" Ellis screamed out, throwing the phone away as it landed on the table. "Don't drop your Batman-Mind telling on me and then proceed to make a SAW reference! That's not funny!"
"Hehehehe! Again, sorry! I couldn't contain myself!" She giggled so hard, that the phone began to hop. "Hehehe…But seriously, I need you to do something."
Breathing heavily, Ellis grumbled. "What."
"You see…I'm in need of help." She said in seriousness. "In this mindscape, there's something that I need, but I'm unable to get it myself. My power is currently limited, like having you stuck in that chair."
('No wonder I felt like I was peeling my entire lower part.') Ellis remarked in his brain.
"No need to be sarcastic. I did it so that you don't panic immediately." Ellis flinched. "Before you ask, yes. I can read your mind." That's not creepy at all! "Now then, pay attention. I have been looking for the correct individual that could help me for so long. I did this to all previous guards before you; some seemed promising but ended up as failures…horrible failures."
"F-Failures?" Once again, he felt his face turn blue. "...Does this…have to do with that one guy that Fredina refused to tell me about?"
"...Moving on."
"DON'T YOU TELL ME TO MOVE FROM IT!"
"Outside this room, you will find five doors." She continues, ignoring him. "Each one represents a…dream world, to say the least. And each one has…a part of my former body."
"Body?" Ellis raised an eyebrow. "Are you…broken apart?"
"That would be the nice way of saying it."
"...And what would you truly call it?"
"...Mutilated."
"Grkh!" Ellis found himself in need of a trash can, urgently.
"Anyways. There are five pieces of my body in each door. I…need you to find them so I may reform myself." She explained.
Ellis swallows heavily to focus, "...But there's something else, right?"
"Yes." Suddenly, Ellis felt something in him to just…let go. Blinking, he found his hip moving and he managed to get up from the chair. "Please, follow me so you may see." She said as the phone suddenly began to morph into a white orb, surprising Ellis, and began to head out.
He reluctantly followed her out, the office vanishing as he stepped out. Following the orb for a few seconds, he stood in front of five doors.
Each one sported different colors and images. The first one was brown, with a bear and a top hat in the center. The second was purple with a bunny and a guitar. The third was yellow with a chicken and a cupcake. The fourth was red with a fox and a pirate flag. The fifth one was completely black, with no image on it that he could identify.
"These are the doors, and I'm sure you have seen these images." The orb replied.
"...These are the girls." Ellis sniffed. "This is…their dreams?" He asked.
"Something close to it."
Ellis had so many things going around his brain. Like, how did the creator make them have dreams?! What programming school they went to shit like that is mind-blowing!
But he chose to ask the one thing that truly matters. "What…exactly is in there? Because if it was to look for something, there should be nothing to worry about." He dreads.
"...You are correct." He didn't, couldn't, see it, but he knew she was sighing in defeat. "Each one sports…a version of the girls' true program."
"True…program." Ellis had both a bad and known feeling.
"I cannot tell you what it is, for that is something that they must tell you themselves first." She said, swaying in the air. "Just know…that is not their fault."
"..." Ellis chose not to comment.
"Either so, consider this a scavenger hunt. Each part of my body is located somewhere in there. Once you have collected, I will teleport you back here."
"...I'm putting my life and sanity on the line here?" Ellis asked.
"...Yes."
Ellis sighs in resignation. "Alright…let's see what I can do. Just don't get your hopes up on me."
"! Y-You'll do it?!"
Ellis looks at the orb in confusion. "You…sound surprised. Am I allowed to reject this?"
"...I mean…You could…but then I will have to erase this conversation and doing that will have…consequences." She said in sadness.
"Does this involve the one guy who you all are refusing to tell me about?" Ellis asked.
"No." Ellis flinched at that quick response. "That guy should have told the boss about his fear of big people before screaming in horror and running around the pizzeria before tripping himself and landing hard on his head that gave him a concussion that put him in the hospital."
(O_O -_- O_O -_- O_O)
Yeah…I think we can all just say that's an 'F' on him.
"Even so, I really don't want to try and do it. I'm…desperate." He couldn't tell by her form, but Ellis believed she was bowing to him. "Please…I beg of you for this help. You are…my only hope right now."
He simply looks at it before massaging his forehead in tiredness. "Fine. I'll do it." ('Damn guilt consciousness.') Even more reason to hate his birth parents.
"Thank you, Ellis." The orb said. "Now, allow me to explain a few things; these doors are currently locked." One of the doors wiggled to prove her point. "And lock doors need keys to be open, but you won't find them."
"Why is that?"
"Because the keys are the girls themselves."
"Huh?"
Before Ellis could ask anything, the world around them began to haze. "Damn…It seems this is it for now." The orb said a seat began to vanish right in front of him. "Sorry Ellis, but this is as far as I can speak with you at the moment. When we meet again, I'll try to explain more things. For now, remember what I said." She began to completely disappear. "Thank you for accepting this…and tell the girls that I'm sorry for going ahead of time."
Before Ellis knew it, he woke up with a gasp. Breathing heavily, he noticed that he was back in the office. He looked around and saw the clock, telling him that it was almost 6 a.m.
('Talk about feeling time go by.') He yawns as he stands up, cracking his neck and stretching his left arm completely.
Only for him to refocus his view to be face-to-face with a surprised Bonfyie.
"JESUS CRHIST!" He jumped back, almost falling on the ground if the bunny hadn't shot forward and hugged him.
"Y-You're okay…! You're okay…!"
Whatever Ellis wanted to say to die he heard her concern tone, along with her shaking. Confused and concerned, he simply placed his hand on her back, caressing it. "There. There…I'm sorry for the worry."
"Hmm!" She was nodding while biting her lips. Her ears stood up, indicating that someone was coming here.
Sure enough, multiple footsteps came close as Fredina and Chiku burst through. "We heard a scream! Is he-" Fredina was about to say when she saw Ellis trapped in Bonfyie's hug, which he weakly waved at them. "Bonfyie!"
Fredina's urgent tone made the guitarist release him and move away, allowing the bear to zoom at Ellis, quickly grabbing his face and inspecting his eyes. "Light!" Chiku appeared above her, her eyes glowing in some sort of purple flash, looking directly at Ellis's black orbs, not stinging him a bit. "Enough!" Chiku blinks off and moves back. "Ellis, count to ten."
"What?"
"Count to ten!" Fredina yelled, making him flinch as he counted to ten. "What are the 5 vowel words?"
"What?!"
"What are they?!"
"A, E, I, O, U!" Ellis answered, getting scared by the second at her attitude.
"What is my color?!"
"Brown!"
"Who was hugging you?!"
"Bonfyie!"
"Who has the fattest ass?!"
"Chiku!"
…
…
…
"Excuse me?!" Chiku squawks out in offense.
"Oh thank God!" Fredina's demeanor crumbled in belief before grabbing Ellis and hugging him tightly. "When I found you like that, I feared the worst!" She moved away and looked him straight in the eyes. "I'm sorry. I was hoping you would be comfortable for a few days before telling you about our…friend."
Ellis blinked several times. "...So…you are saying…that there's a living ghost here?"
"Spirit." Fredina corrected, not denying.
There was no point in hiding it. She just hoped that he wouldn't freak out-
"...Fascinating."
"...Eh?" All three animatronics blink at the sudden interest expression Ellis is forming. They weren't expecting that expression.
"So there's a spirit in here." Ellis, to the absolute discomfort, was calm as he thought about it. "I wonder what is keeping her here. Perhaps regret, or vengeance…"
"Uhm, Ellis?"
"Hmm?" He looks at the girls, looking disturbed and concerned. "Oh…S-Sorry about that." He coughs, hiding a blush from his face. "A-Anyways, W-What is this?"
"Well-"
*Ding-Dong! Bing-Bong!*
Oh yes! I just did a cliffhanger!
Ellis watched as the girls morphed back into their day form. "Shoot. It's already morning." Fredina cursed. "Sorry Ellis, we'll have to leave this conversation for later." She quickly pulled him up and began to drag him away. "Girls, go and prepare things, and check if Fexa is dexoticated."
"Got it-Hey, wait!" Chiku was speaking before yelling, but Fredina ran away already with the guard. "Grrr! What the hell!?" She inflated her cheeks. "Why did the Night Guard say I have the fattest ass in this building?!"
"N-Now, now." Bonfyie quickly placed her hand on Chiku's shoulder. "Fredina was getting concerned. Y-You know how she feels when…she does this. Her reaction cause Mr. Night Guard to panic and answer in panic."
"I know that!" Chiku said before peeking at her behind. "But asking him 'that' really necessary?! Do I really have it big!?"
"..." Bonfyie chose not to comment.
That causes Chiku to fall to her knees, comical rivers of water falling out. "I'm not fat! I'm just hefty! Is it not my fault that I'm finger licking good tights!"
"B-But…I'm the one with the tights-"
"You know what I mean!"
(6:10 AM, Entrance)
"Now listen closely. You will go home, take a bath, and sleep. I don't want to see you come back and look spooked or dead of sleep. You better have a decent meal once you wake up, and if I see a single black mark under your eyes when you return, so help me, my creator." Fredina spoke in authority as she dragged a now civilian-clothed Ellis out of the building.
"O-Okay." Ellis replied, scared of Fredina's current personality.
"Good." They reach the doors, where she takes a deep breath and drags Ellis into a hug once again. "I'm sorry for this tone of mine, you don't deserve this, but understand that this…was out of control and I needed to take immediate action."
"N-No. I-Is alright. I get it." He could tell. "Random spirit pops out and enters inside me. Supernatural bullshit that should be taken care of for sanity sake."
Fredina chuckled as she ended the hug. "Thank you. And please, find it in your heart to forgive her."
"I-It's alright!" Ellis replied, "In fact, she told me to say that she's sorry for heading ahead of time!"
Fredina huffed. "She better." She proceeds to give him his bag and places him out of the building. "Now, go home and sleep! We'll continue our talk once you return, and when I deal with the bloody idiot."
Ellis's sweat drops. "A-Alright. L-Later." He said with a wave that Fredina replied as she closed the doors of the restaurant.
…
…
…
"Welp!" Ellis spun around, adjusting his bag. "Better get home before Mama Bear gets mad at me." And with that, he began to walk away.
(Ellis Apartment)
"Okay…Wow, I feel tired." He said as he felt his legs go spaghetti when he entered his apartment and closed the door. Perhaps his mind finally processed everything that happened. ('Is this why Fredina quickly sent me away? Just how many people had this happen too?') With a tired breath, he slung the bag on the table.
He stumbles to his room. ('I really should bathe…but-') Reaching his bed, he fell on it. ('Too tired to move.') He moved his face, looking at the small stand where Goldie was. "Hey Goldie. Sorry for this, but I'm going for a nap. Keep an eye on the clock…" was all he said before closing his eyes and going to the dream world in an instant.
Goldie simply watched his figure…before it began to float in the air, its eyes glowing green. Soon, from Goldie's plushy body a shadow figure came out, while covered in darkness, it looked very similar to Fredina's night form.
It floated to Ellis's sleeping form, staring at it for a few seconds before raising its hand, a green aura forming around his body as it moved to a better comforting position on his bed. Once done, it appeared next to him, stretching its arm at him…and proceeded to grab the blanket and put it over him.
"Heh...heh…heh…"
A chuckle came out as a sinister smile plastered on its face. Followed by a mad twitch from its face as it vanishes in the dust of black. Said dust began to return back inside the golden plush. Once inside, it stopped floating and fell next to Ellis, somehow landing perfectly on his side.
"... Don't…worry…"
Its eyes finally returned to normal, all green having vanished. Only the sounds of Ellis's small snores.
(Meanwhile, 8:00 AM)
Back in the pizzeria, Fredina was left alone in the Part and Service room, wanting to be left alone to…talk. With crossed arms and tapping feet, she waited for her to appear as there was a lot of explanation to be told.
('How much longer does she need?') Fredina began to get impatient.
Thankfully, she sensed the lights flickering and noticed a presence. "About time." She said while turning around, seeing the blurry image of…something. "Are you good? Did you recharge properly?" She asked with a sweet yet forceful smile.
"..."
"Good. Now that your 'health' is okay, let us start this conversation with WHY would you summon him this early!?" Fredina broke her smile with shark teeth and black eyes. "We agreed to give him time to adjust before telling him!"
"..."
"Yes, he told me you were sorry! No, it doesn't matter to me!" Fredina grilled her metallic jaw. "You do realize that half of our night guards leave because of this?! The nightmares they fall into will put us down for good!"
"..."
"I KNOW!" *Slam!* "Dammit! I know that too well! But…Dammit!" *Slam!* "They stared at us…like…like back then!"
"..."
"...Y-Yeah. Sorry." Having calmed down, Fredina breathed in and out. "I…I just don't want him to see us like that." Flashback of many looks of fear, hate, and lust enter her bank memory. "Like everyone else has done to us."
"..."
"I know. You will never let us suffer anymore." Fredina coughs. "But it doesn't erase the memories…and if…Ellis leaves, I rather he does it without seeing that."
"..."
"...Huh?" Fredina looks at the being in disbelief. "What do you mean he won't be easily scared? You saw how close he was to almost shitting himself when he met Bonfyie."
"..."
"Give him time? For what? You already are making him enter those nightmares."
"..."
"...He…willingly doing it?" Fredina felt her eyes pop out in surprise. "Wait…you didn't make any of your offers?"
"..."
"O-Oh…Okay, that's very concerning." Fredina said. "No way he would do this so easily. What was he thinking?"
"..."
"...Don't remind me," A sour expression appeared on her face as she looked at her hands. "I…I don't think I want to know how he could just…go on with his arm like that."
(Flashback)
"...hope you'll survive." Fredina sighs as she looks at Ellis' static face. She was going to look for the others before noticing Ellis' right arm.
And a reminder of what she wanted to ask.
"...Dammit." She cursed her entire programming of caring.
Curiosity: 1, Morality: 0
With a hurtful expression, Fredina went for it as she grabbed his right arm. "Sorry Ellis! I need to know!"
…
…
…
"Oh…my God…" The camera didn't show her face, but one could feel horror in her voice. "How…is this possible?"
(End of Flashback)
"I…I don't think I have ever felt so disgusted in my life." Fredina commented, looking at her shaking hand.
The thing she felt…the thing she saw…The things she can think he's hiding.
Mama Bear is not going to forget such things so easily.
A hand landed on her shoulders, making her stiff. Looking back, she saw the figure doing its best to comfort it. "..." It said something that only she and Fredina understood.
"...I hope so." Fredina finally sighs in defeat. "Just…please, promise me if things go south to pull him out." She begged the being. "This…is the first time we get a kid his age working here, and he already suffered enough."
"..."
"Thank you…You know, we really need to find a way for you to speak." Fredina said. "It's been almost seven years and we still haven't gotten you something to at least speak." She stated.
"..."
"Huh?" Fredina looked at it once again. "What do you mean it's already covered?"
"Hehehehe…" A chuckle escaped from the figure before disappearing.
"Hey! You did not just leave me hanging!" Fredina yelled out, "What do you mean by that?! Don't you dare cliffhanger me here!"
Oh yes! Yes, I will!
"Shut up, Author!"
