Crusch felt relieved as she watched Felix take the first step and open his mouth to speak, and though his words were hesitant, they renewed her own hope that there was still a way out of this mess.
"T-thank you Crusch-sama."
His eyes began to sparkle with the optimism he gave voice as he spoke, an energy that spread through Crusch like wildfire. Seeing him filled with hope again infused her own spirit too; it was like a fresh wind pushing against her sails—a sign that perhaps things could be salvaged after all, There was no way she wanted to disappoint him now; instead she vowed to do whatever it took until they both survive so with a determined smile.
"Well done Felix, now we have to m-...!!?..."
She tried to say something, but mid-sentence she suddenly felt a strange sensation in her chest. An unwelcome feeling that was foreign and unfamiliar that she had not experienced before, as It seemed like it was growing, and pressing against the air around it. So She looked down, and.
"GEHHHEK!!??"
She saw an entire arm, up to the wrist, thrust out of her chest like a demon's appendage. With it came an exsanguinated flood of viscera-strewn blood and entrails that failed to suppress a shockwave of unbearable agony it seemed like fire in her veins. With every breath she took it was as if someone had thrust an invisible dagger into her lungs. All breath was lost as were all hopes and aspirations.
"Gehhk!.."
she was dying. Yet even amidst life's abject destruction there remained one precarious thought: ――why is it that I continue to linger despite having my lungs torn apart? For what purpose could this lingering be offering if not prolonging already dead hope and dreams?.
"..."
But despite those grim thoughts She tried to gasp for air but found no refuge in it - only more pain squeezing into every breath she attempted to take until.
".gehk!..."
finally even speaking seemed beyond what this wounded creature could do any longer as death's embrace slowly began its inevitable course, fading and fading... there's no escaping death no-!!?...
"Sorry, Crusch, but I will not let you go down the path of death so simply... well, not before you get a taste of what I specialize in..."
-Said a voice, was a low rumble, icy and without emotion, before.
".k!...!!!!!"
She felt as though she was on fire. Her insides seemed to have melted, and her desire for death intensified until it pushed out all other emotions. The pain was so unbearable that it felt like her eyes may have exploded, the burning pain tormenting her body. But no scream could escape from lips sealed tight with agony, for without breath to funnel it out, sound was impossible. All that came were silent tears and terrible terrible terrible...burning as death crept closer and closer on its unsuspecting trail. She waited helplessly as life drained away.
"..."
all she could do was wait until the inevitable arrived and took what remained of her life away forever.
"...!!"
Suddenly a faint smell of something cooking in its wake; a sickening reminder that what she could smell was actually the burning of her own flesh.
"..."
Death became an ever-growing presence which threatened to consume her entirely - there were no longer any moments or reprieves from wanting nothing else but death's mercy and relief from this agonizing torture.
"I think that was enough... well, goodbye Crusch karestan..."
-the voice was low and menacing as it spoke from directly behind Crusch.
his arm locked around her neck and the other arm stuck deep into her back up to its elbow until it emerged from her chest, His body was entirely attached to hers - a hideous, macabre bond that connected them in an unnatural way. Around them lay a pool of blood and viscera strewn across the ground - remnants of what had once been Crusch's internal organs. Smoke rose from her now charred frame as clothes disintegrated away leaving nothing but blackened skin with not even hairs left in place. Her eyes had become two empty voids with not even a spark of life left within them; only charred ruin remained in their place, hauntingly silent reminders that this once living being was no more than a Charred human firewood now, while the surrounding face exhibited only a silent, perpetual scream of suffering.
"What a masterpiece. I just wish I could keep it or her?, as a souvenir...but..."- his tone was cheerful, despite the fact that what he had done was considered heinous.
His voice contained an innocence and naivete that suggested something far removed from the malice with which his misdeeds were branded, and so...
CRACK!!!
There came a sudden cracking sound, starting from the huge filled hole in Crusch's charred chest. It spread outward through her whole body like a spider web of glowing embers, until every inch was engulfed with deep red lines radiating heat and then...
FOHISSSSS!!!
dark smoke hissed forth from each fracture, coalescing into pillars that covered the area in a fog of dread. And then flames erupted from every break and tear in her corpse; consuming it with an unholy fire that lit up the darkness with its eerie glow, giving off a fearsome aura, transforming what had been a still corpse into something sinisterly animate and then...
BOOOM!!
An earsplitting explosion that seemed more powerful than ought be allowable for a single person; sending pieces of human remains flying through the air like shrapnel made of charring flesh shattering it into thousands of pieces across the place accompanied by a sharp sound reminiscent of tinder igniting in an inferno.
-"Only a sick mind would preserve the body of a dead, charred girl as an object to be admired. This is something I could never fathom doing and I cannot imagine ever resorting to this type of perverse behavior. It isn't in my nature and it certainly isn't who you think I am, Felix ... Isn't that correct?"
"..."
In the midst of smoke and chaos, with flames licking at the walls and pieces of charred human flesh scattered around him like snowflakes on a winter day, Natsuki Subaru stood tall where once Crusch stood. A bolt of thunder echoed within his chest and illuminated the darkness surrounding him with an eerie white light. His lips quirked upward into a sadistic smile eyes glowing bright white as sparks shoot forth like thunderbolts from their depths. He looks triumphant amid destruction – muscles rippled visibly beneath blood-splattered skin left marred by the remains of countless victims' charred bodies. The force behind each step was possessive and powerful, streams of blood trickled down his skin as if being baptized by fire itself.
"From Earth to Felix Do you hear me?"
"..."
Felix heard him, of course he did. But he wished that he did not. He wished that his ears would stop hearing and his eyes could close themselves from the sight before him. He wanted to disappear - an escape from this world and its trials; as if life had no longer any meaning after watching helplessly as the woman who he admired the most, who trusted in his oath of servitude, was slaughtered with such cruelty by this terrible and unfairly strong monster before him without a shred of mercy or pity shown for her pain-filled cries which rang deafening in Felix's ears yet doing nothing but standing rooted in despair and terror.
Felix didn't know how long he stayed that way, but it dosen't matter anymore as All Felix feels now is an all-encompassing emptiness that he cannot fill no matter how hard he tries - an emptiness that was once filled with love for his lady.
"...!"
But He can hear a faint voice echoing through his soul, one reminding him of his friends tragic end, and his last unselfish words.
"..."
yet not even this is enough to stir an ounce of motivation within him. His promise to serve faithfully and protect her with all his might has been broken, and so He felt as broken himself, as if his will to live had all but dissipated with every beat of his shattered heart and soul. All that remained was despair - an infinite loneliness so complete and...
"I-I..want to die hk...,"
"Hmm?"
Suddenly Felix bowed his head to the ground, all of the grief and fear visible in every shiver of his body. He knelt there, hands outstretched as if in supplication to an unseen force that had suddenly stolen away everything he held dear. His silent tears pooled around him as they joined with his mistress's blood and entrails that soaked into the earth around him He felt the cold ashe and blood seep up between each finger numbing and chilling him further He stayed kneeling there for a long moment,
motionless but for shaking shoulders--the only sign of life he exhibited before a monster who had taken from him what mattered most.
Finally allowing himself to look up at what had taken away so much joy from him today, he raised his trembling hands towards the sky or rather towards the monster in front of him, and so...
"PLEASE KILL ME. END THIS PAIN, THIS SUFFERING. TAKE MY LIFE AWAY DESTROY ME, POUND ALL REMNANTS OF WHO I WAS WITH YOUR POWER TILL I AM NOTHING BUT DUST AT YOUR FEET. BURN MY BONES UNTIL THE ASHES CONSUME AND ERASE EVERYTHING THAT ONCE WAS WHOLE. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE NO TRACES SO THAT NOT EVEN MEMORIES LINGER IN THE EMPTY VOID AROUND US - JUST MAKE SURE TO TAKE AWAY ANY CHANCE OF ME COMING BACK, FOR WHAT GOOD WOULD IT DO IF I REMAIN? NOT AFTER CRUSCH-SAMA'S DEATH!!!!"
The words tumbled out of his mouth in a plea from the depths of despair, no longer caring what happened to him.
"PLEASE PUT AN END TO IT ALL FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL: KILL ME IF THAT IS THE ONLY WAY LEFT AVAILABLE FOR PEACE--JUST DO WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT DOING...YOU MONSTER!!!!".
The words veritably dripped with abject despair. He pleaded for his end, a final mercy that would guarantee no more sorrow, no more pain, and...
"PLEASE ... JUST K-kill me now while every memory of Crusch-sama is still fresh, for if it fades how can i expect our souls to reunite? So ... P-please end this misery, I beg you. Kill me! Remove my existence ... END IT NOW!!!..."
With one last scream of desperation, suddenly Felix drew himself to his feet. His legs were trembling and he felt the hot tears burning in his eyes as he launched himself towards Subaru in a final attack. His arms were outstretched, fingers splayed wide as if ready to grab onto the monster before him. He had mustered every last ounce of strength he had within him, but despite that He knew that there was no hope and that death would be the sure outcome, but death had become an unexpected blessing for him; it meant freedom from life's bitter pains and sorrows and That is exactly what Felix meant when he said "I want to die "—he did not want life anymore; instead, it was time for him to die alongside his lady, but...
"Oh felix..."
"...!?"
After saying that, Subaru disappeared, or to be more precise, he moved with an amazing speed, giving the impression that he had disappeared, which made Felix stop in his tracks, confused and also angry, looking around hysterically, searching for him, but the smoke from the fire around him made that impossible.
-So, left with no other choice he...
"WHERE ARE YOU, MONSTER? WHERE ARE YOU HIDING? COME OUT AND SHOW ME YOUR FACE. I KNOW THAT YOU'RE HERE – COME AND DO WHAT IS IN YOUR NATURE TO DO. AND FINISH ME OFF!, COME AND TAKE AWAY MY LIFE WITH YOUR UNFEELING HANDS OR POWER IF IT SUITS YOU. DO NOT HOLD BACK FROM THIS EASY TASk AND JUST KILL ME DAMN IT!!!!!"
Felix's entire body trembled violently, his arms around his shoulders as though to keep in whatever warmth he had left. Tears streamed down from bloodshot eyes; the salt filling up those hollows below them, which never again seemed likely to rejoice. His veins were full of a darker blood than should ever have flowed while he staggered blindly through thick smoke and ash and wreckage – torn clothes, scorched flesh, splintered wood – and hoarse thunderbolts slicing through the sky – until finally it all culminated with Felix screaming into the night air for death to come end him.
"Please ... j-just show up a-and ... and kill me. Why do you want to m-make me suffer like ... this? Why? ... Please just kill me, y'you YOU MONSTER!!!".
Fear despair and anger was coursing through his veins as he continued to plead for release as only death could provide him any respite now.
"PLEASE!!!... "
His body trembled with fear and sorrow--and strange energy that was not of himself but seemed linked somehow within every beat of his erratic heart. Everywhere he looked there were reminders of violence.
"...PLEASE SHOW YOURSELF NATSUKI SUB-hk!".
"Now this is the correct answer well done felix~"
Before Felix could utter his final plea, a sudden shock of wind chilled the air around him and Subaru appeared like an apparition or bolt from the blue. The man or rather the monster was clothed in darkness with only a white lightning bolt on his chest to illuminate his presence; yet it seemed as if two bright white fireballs had replaced what were once eyes, burning with some intent for evil and malice. His arms outstretched showing tense muscles ready to strike at any moment, Subaru loomed over Felix who failed to notice anything but a cold breeze behind him. With one thought reverberating through his mind - 'I'm finally coming to you Crusch-sama.'Felix closed his eyes and smiled, savoring the faint breeze. He could feel his body slowly succumbing to exhaustion, battered and broken from the long struggle that had brought him here. The pain was unbearable; yet he chose to face it with courage and acceptance, waiting for the final blow that would end not only his suffering but also this cruel cycle of violence in which he found himself trapped. He felt a sense of calmness wash over him as he prepared for eternity's embrace one last time, and so...
"Ah?..."
But what he suddenly felt was not a blow that would end his life, but rather something entirely different.
Felix's eyes snapped open and he gasped in shock. Instead of Subaru looming over him with malicious intent, the monster was cradling him from behind, one arm loosely draped around his shoulder while the other hand gently patted his head as if petting a stray cat. Reflexively, Felix tried to break free from this unexpected embrace but found himself unable to – Subaru held on tightly or is he?, still patting away like some kind of bizarre ritual or comfort gesture. His furious gaze shifted up at Subaru who smiled teasingly back down at him as if nothing had happened With all the boldness left within him, Felix screamed out.
"W-Why are you hugging me all of sudden?, just kill ME ALREADY!!!"
"Why should I kill you?"
"What?" Felix felt as if his mind were in a maelstrom, pulled downward by rampant confusion and an unbearable sense of loss. He wanted to die; he wanted the monster that had taken his beloved without mercy to kill him as well. But why did this beast of destruction have such a hesitation to end him? Was it because death would offer an end to his anguish? Or was it something more, some sort of twisted game of his to extend the duration of his torture?.
"WHAT DO YOU ME-!!."
But before he could finish his words, the monster interrupted him by saying, "FELIX, I really know exactly how you feel. The intense sadness that accompanies loss is something I understand very well," Subaru said gently. "I am so sorry for killing her in such a brutal way - if only I had known how attached you were to her... Please forgive me I really didn't know how attached you were to the deceased, so I'm sorry. "with an apologetic expression on his face he continued."I'm sorry - sincerely sorry- that I killed her before your very eyes in such a cruel fashion," Subaru's mouth quirked sadly at the corners as he looked directly at Felix who in turn could sense that everything Subaru said were sincere words from the heart. He was really confused now. ――How could that be? Did he want to trick me into believing him? But before he could finish his thoughts, Subaru interrupted him again.
" I now realized the error of my actions and instead of her I should have chosen to extinguish your flame first ... so I offer my most profound apology; an unforgivable mistake on my part that will not be repeated in future. May you find solace within my words and know that your loss is given due consideration felix~" Subaru smiled a cruel, mocking smile as he spoke.
"..."
Felix felt the confusion draining away like an ebbing tide as Subaru spoke. The man was a monster, cold and cruel in his logic; there could be no doubt about it now. His first or maybe second impression of Subaru had been correct; here was someone with whom he should not trifle, He felt his own breath catch as he registered just how coldly brutal this man seemed to be -- merciless in his calculation, ruthless in its execution --Subaru truly was nothing less than a ruthless monster a creature far more sinister than any prophet of doom could have conjured up in nightmare.
"Kill me please ".Felix's voice was faint from lack of life, as he uttered his plea. He leaned against Subaru, desperately looking for relief from the hopelessness that had enveloped him He hit the back of his head against Subaru's chest in a quiet rhythm, as if he wanted to experience the pain for himself. "Just kill me," he whispered, "I don't care anymore." every word and action becoming fragmented in despair. Subaru hardly flinched at Felix's actions but he frowned slightly at his words but then smiled brighter than before and wrapped his arm around him more tightly. And With a teasing chuckle he said: "Oh come now, it can't be that bad…because life is an ever-shifting kaleidoscope of light and shadows, joys and sorrows. It can be both exhilarating and numbing; confusing yet incredibly illuminating. But if you choose to take it in with open eyes, arms outstretched towards its beauty, life can teach you tremendous lessons about resilience, courage, strength - the true power of love for your self as well as those around you. So are you ready? Come on felix--let me show you how beautiful life truly is outside this wall of smoke, Maybe that might stop you from wanting to die".
"..."
Felix gazed at the side, unmoving and expressionless. Subaru's words passed over him like a breeze, failing to register any acknowledgement or reaction from him. But it seemed as if Subaru didn't really require one, and so.
"Oh well ".
Subaru pursed his lips and slowly blew out a stream of breath, the wisps of air stirring up the swirling clouds that surrounded them. He continued to blow until The smoke that had shrouded the area funnelled away, evaporated into the air like a ghostly presence trying to escape its fate. When it was finally clear...
"..WAAAAAAAAAH!!!!."
Felix, broke into a bloodcurdling scream of terror and revulsion. His cries echoed around them like an infant's wails His eyes widened as he beheld a sight that could only be described as nightmarish.
Felix stared in disbelief and shock as the nightmarish dystopia spread before him it seemed as if hell had descended upon the capital Everywhere he looked was ruined and broken, an apocalyptic vision of a world gone wrong. The sky was black with heavy clouds that boomed with thunder and spat lightning, casting everything into harsh dark shadows or blinding white light. Below, the city had been leveled; there were no structures left standing to mark where they had once stood but instead only piles of rubble smoldering from fire still burning beneath it all But what made Felix's stomach churn most was the sight of countless corpses lying amongst it all -- some charred beyond recognition, others ripped apart by the merciless force of something unknown that had brought them all down.
"H-how.. HOW THIS HAPPENED!??"
Felix's mind raced with the most dire of questions: how had the capital collapsed so quickly without him having any inkling? He frantically searched Subaru's face for an answer, and it seemed as if his query was heard. Subaru bore a smug grin that shone menacingly in the dim light, as felix would not be made to wait long for an explanation.
"Oh Felix, well ... all you have to know is that I flew through and around the capital at the speed of light while lightning crashed ferociously around me doing the rest. It's not really that hard, and don't worry, no one survived my onslaught; everyone perished in the wake of my storm..." His voice trailed off for a moment before he added lowly, " Or more accurately….everyone perished except for you-and others... like Reinhardt.." then He frowned slightly as if remembering something else."...and Priscilla who managed to escape during a momentary gap while I was busy with destroying every last corner of this once glorious capital."
Subaru's words hung heavy in the air and Felix looked at him wide-eyed horrified at what he heard.
" HEY! Don't look at me like that!!—i wasn't the only one who was responsible of destroying the capital,.. take a look over there" Subaru frowned, his lips pursing as he gestured to a large expanse of the capital city and so.
"...!!"
The normally vibrant streets and buildings at that side of the city were now coated with a layer of frost that had frozen solid in some areas. Hundreds of figures dotted the landscape, Felix could see them crystalized tableaus along the streets tiny figures petrified in time, hundreds of them all throughout the capital their features hidden beneath a hardened sheet of ice. Felix gazed at this frozen side of the capital, not as shocked as he'd been the first time as He felt less terror now than curiosity;――who did this?.
"It was a giant creature an immense tiger of some kind and he was much larger than anything iv seen before – and as he appeared he started speaking about ending all humanity and life on this world."
Subaru spoke as if he were recollecting a distant memory, answering Felix's unspoken question.
"W-Why..?"
"I don't really know, because I didn't have the chance to hear the rest. The moment it came out," Subaru spoke with an air of superiority as He emphasized his words by tightening his fist and crushing an imaginary object in mid-air before continuing on with a smirk on his face, "I completely crushed it before I heard the rest." Felix was not that surprised; instead he looked at Subaru with dispassionate eyes that belied a sense of resignation and Despair. Despite this however Subaru still had enough gumption to pat him patronizingly on top of his head as if nothing were wrong.
.

.
.
.
Subaru and Felix stood in the field of destruction, watching silently as buildings and homes crumbled under a barrage from thunderbolts, while fires spread like wild beasts devouring anything that remained standing. Subaru continued to pat Felix's head soothingly, even though the other was nearly lifeless, bent over in despair with no tears left to shed, The only sounds they could hear were of thunder crashing onto what was left behind and fire consuming people's corpses without mercy - until...
So, Felix," Subaru said gently, breaking the silence between them. He looked at him with a mixture of hope and teasing; he had his answer even before Felix spoke. But he carried on anyway, still hoping for a different answer "Have you made up your mind to overcome your grief and loss?" Subaru asked softly; but even as he spoke, there was no response from Felix--not a twitch or word betrayed any emotion in his face or body language that would have indicated some sort of change in attitude toward life.
Subaru sighed heavily with a fake disappointment : this was going much harder than anticipated Subaru questioned him again: "Come on, Felix - for Crush's sake - just say the word; say that you want to live not die." With sudden anger contorting his features and ringing through every syllable as he screamed it at Subaru's shocked face: "Don't say her name with such familiarity, you MONSTER!!!!"
Overcoming his shoke Subaru adopted an apologetic expression and said, "Alright alright, I won't say her name again. There's no need to be angry; just calm down." He patted Felix on the head in a gesture of peace but Felix did not seem convinced and instead averted his gaze away from Subaru towards the ruins of the capital ahead of them. Not saying anything else.
"Listen felix" He reached out with his hand and gently touched Felix's shoulder, trying to get some response from him "It doesn't have to be now," Subaru said encouragingly, "but I want you to remember that no matter how hard life gets, it is possible for us all to overcome our grief and loss if we just have faith in ourselves ... just take as an example iv already overcomed my grief over Emilia's and Rem and Beatrice and even Roshi and arlam villagers death's and ... you can be like me you know ?."
."But you were the one who killed them," Felix said in a lifeless voice. Subaru paused for a moment and said, "So?" His tone was casual yet indifferent as if Felix had said an unimportant thing that he felt no need to elaborate on.
"..."
Felix just shook his head hopelessly at himself, refusing to discuss it any further and acknowledging the fact that he had unthinkable conversation; after all this time he had been talking to pure evil.been speaking with someone with an unfeeling soul all this time instead Felix dropped his eyes and muttered in a hollow voice" just kill me already Natsuki Subaru..."
"Hk...?!"
Subaru's smile suddenly faded as he felt his skin crawl with a strange sensation. His world began to spin, and the sky and earth started to sink into total darkness like an oncoming tide. He tried in vain to make sense of what was happening as Felix in his hands went from recognizable being to pure black, white eyes glowing through the void accompanied by an eerie crooked grin. Stunned by this sudden transformation, Subaru frowned deeply at this solemn figure in confusion before letting go entirely and stepping away from him slowly...
"What hell is going on and whe-!!"
"WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!" "WAKE UP YOU MONSTER YOU ARE NOT ME!"
"..."
Again and again, the dark shadowy thing cried out with a voice that reverberated through Subaru's very soul. Its mouth opened ever wider in an unnatural, distorted way that forced Subaru to stifle a shudder of disgust. Yet it was not this display of horror which made his skin crawl with disgust; no - it was the sound of its voice. Heavy and deep like bellows from some unfathomable abyss, yet lightening briefly to turn wistfully sad before hardening back into harsh confidence... It spoke as if trying desperately to remind him of something long forgotten but just out of reach within his memories...but not only that the voice wish this thing spoke with was so terribly familiar too familiar that is...
" is that my voice??"
Subaru uttered a puzzled expression as he watched the dark figure slowly begin to disappear. The creature's whispered words still lingered in his mind, and yet it seemed that suddenly the darkness around him began to cave in. It was almost as if the presence of this mysterious thing had held back some unknown force. He was left standing there alone, surrounded by melding shadows that formed an ever-shrinking sphere around him He felt a sense of dread wash over him- it seemed like this wasn't the end; soon afterwards, the darkness around them started to crumble away piece by piece, until...
"Wha!!hk."
Suddenly, Subaru's head began to spin and a strange numbness spread from the base of his neck down through all four limbs. He stumbled forward in its grasp and plummeted face-first into darkness below, unable to regain his balance or lift himself back up again. The unbearable pain in his skull was unlike anything he had ever felt before; it seemed as if someone were pushing down on top of him with an invisible hand. While something was trying to break out within it at the same time As if sensing Subaru's fear, there came light - and with it footfalls advancing slowly but surely behind him, that seemed both distant but also drawing near – an unnerving thing indeed! He tried to turn and see his pursuer, but the weight of his body pinned him in place.
-So left with no other choice he...
"Who are you?" he demanded with a sharp edge in his voice. "What do you want? I'm warning you - if your intention is to harm me, be sure that I will kill you in the worst possible way." His voice was like thunder as it filled the air with its threat; there seemed an electric current of energy radiating around him. And as a result The sound of mysterious footsteps immediately stopped behind him, and so.
"Greetings, Natsuki Subaru," spoke a beautiful voice from somewhere behind him he couldn't quite place. Suddenly it said again, speaking as if to clarify something: "Or rather, Natsuki Subaru's subconscious." He shifted uneasily at that statement her description of him as his own conscious mind was upsetting for some reason and even made his blood boil in rage; what did she mean by calling himself an unconscious being? In a fierce tone he shouted out: "What do you mean by subconscious, woman?" His anger was palpable in his tone as he demanded an answer from its mysterious owner...
The voice spoke with a gentle firmness. "As I said before, you are just Natsuki Subaru's subconscious mixed with his anger and hatred. I understand your confusion, but to understand what is going on here you must give me the chance to explain it all. Do we have an agreement? Will you listen intently without interruption so that I may explain this properly?"
Subaru's mind reeled at the thought of being partially composed of such a volatile emotion as rage and yet hearing imploring words from someone speaking so softly reassured him somewhat. He nodded silently in agreement and then confirmed aloud...
"Yes, I'm ready to listen".
Hearing his confirmation The voice continued in a slow and measured tone. "good ... You see my dear Natsuki Subaru, you are more than just yourself but instead made up of many distinct pieces that all together make up your whole self, mostly hatred and anger, You were designed to be an example of the consequences of reckless action and unchecked anger that could lead Natsuki Subaru to destroy a World and annihilate entire lives. For in the end, despite your power over this world, you are still just a seventeen-year-old boy. I have been commissioned by the Rock of Eternity to guide you on the path towards creating a world out of your dream - one in which a darker version of Natsuki Subaru wish is you is placed so that the real you see that his wrath cannot pass without consequence You - exemplifying what life would be like should he allow his anger unlimited rein over his actions and decisions ." A pause followed as if for emphasis; then came forth again with solemn certainty." So in conclusion Rock of Eternity has bestowed upon me a great responsibility—controlling and protecting Natsuki Subaru from himself, guiding him through this world I have created for his own good. It is up to me to ensure that he learns the lessons necessary in order to become a responsible holder of the magic of Shazam."
After the voice had finished its explanation, an eerie stillness descended upon them. None spoke for what felt like an eternity, until...
" well this makes sense ... but i h-!!"
CRACK!!!
Before Subaru could complete his sentence, suddenly there was a crack in the darkness around him that quickly began to break up and fade away. The voice spoke again, this time with an urgency and warning in its tone. "It seems Natsuki Subaru wishes to awaken; but before you do—remember this: though it may have felt like a great amount of time had passed within the dreamscape, not one second has elapsed on the outside world." The voice stopped before beginning again " one last time Heed these words closely: with great power comes great responsibility." As soon as those final words were spoken, the voice disappeared from existence leaving Subaru alone in this dark and crumbling shadows.
"That wasn't my question...but it doesn't matter." Subaru spoke in a flat, uninterested tone, as if annoyed, and Immediately after he had spoken these words, an invisible force took hold of him and drew hm into a black vortex. He descended slowly yet irresistibly until all trace of him was lost from sight; at the same time this dark abyss seemed to be swallowing up all around it little by little until nothing remained.

"Hk!!!"
Subaru felt a sudden, intense pain clamp around his head. His vision blurred and his ears rang, the pressure of it too much for him to handle. He stumbled to the ground, holding onto his head with one hand as he tried to maintain consciousness through the throbbing in his skull.
"SUBARU!!!"
Emilia's concerned voice cut through into Subaru's foggy awareness like a beam of moonlight shining on an otherwise dark night sky. Her presence filled him with reassurance; her nearness made him realize this was all just some twisted dream created from some deep-rooted hatred within himself meant only for revenge – but Subaru know that he was not a revengeful soul but still...
"What the hell was that?" He murmured lowly. As he slowly clambered up off the ground and stood before Emilia, who looked down upon him with worry and gentleness in her eyes. "Are you alright?" she asked, offering her hand with an encouraging smile. Her hand felt warm as Subaru finally accepted it, and his worries began to dissipate, as He once again realized then that all this had been but a dream - nothing more than an illusory reminder of what might have been if he...
He shook his head trying to disperse the thought and instead he slowly looked up at Emilia, his eyes full of apologie and gratitude. "Thank you," he said quietly - he of course won't say sorry as he know she only accept to be thanked.
And of course Emilia managed a faint smile as she wrapped her arms around Subaru in a tight embrace; the warmth of her hug filled him with comfort and security like no other before.
-And as she was pulling back from the huge.
"Oh!"
Subaru again pulled her into another huge, not caring about the stares or confusion from everyone around them, including puck who was furiously flicking glittering orbs of ice towards Subaru, each one like a spear tinged with snowy winter. They whizzed at him with an icy chill that would send any mortal into shock, but evaporated before they even touched Subaru's skin--their magic disappearing like there's was nothing Still he continued shooting.
"sub!...oof!."
She tried to warn subaru about what puck is doing But before she could even begin to speak he was embracing her tightly in a hug that seemed unending. Emilia let out an oof as Subaru squeezed but she still wore a gentle smile on her face and patting him on his head tenderly with one hand while sunk into the embrace.
