Hello and welcome back to another chapter. I hope you enjoy it!

I don't own RWBY or any other media that shows up, please support all official releases.

Weiss's POV

"Incoming!" I yelled out over the radio as the shells from our opponent came careening towards us. Pushing away any tiredness I had in me, I leapt from my station and went outside of the ship.

The shells were coming fast and I knew I didn't have much time to set up a defense. Sure, it never fully stopped the shells with how big they are, but it dampen their velocity at least. That definitely saved us some painful shots a few times.

Planting my sword, I unleashed a wall of ice dust to shield from the incoming shells. Like every though, any that hit punched through and impacted the ship, making it rock slightly.

"Damage report!" Ruby said from the captains chair, looking worried that we took a bad hit. Can't say I blame her, we are so close to completing this Challenge Dungeon as well.

"Challenge Dungeon: The High Seas."

"Quest received: Ship Killer"

"Description: Make like the Bismarck and Yamato and sink the enemy ships!"

"Difficulty: Nightmare"

"Main Objective: Survive at least eight hours of continuous enemy shelling or sink all enemy ships."

"Secondary Objective 1: Take out 50% of enemy combatants."

"Secondary Objective 2: Take out 80% of enemy combatants."

Secondary Objective 3: Take out 100% of enemy combatants."

Main Rewards: One randomly chosen ship of rare variety. 4 lottery tokens each.

Secondary Rewards 1: Two randomly chosen ships of uncommon variety. 2 lottery tokens each.

Secondary Rewards 2: Two randomly chosen ships of rare variety. Two lottery tokens each.

Secondary Rewards 3: One randomly chosen ship of epic variety. Two randomly chosen ships of rare variety. Four randomly chosen ships of uncommon variety. Blessing of the Sea. 2 lottery tokens each.

The rewards looked just as amazing as the AI promised them to be, and I couldn't wait to get our hands on them, it was just that I expected this to be a lot easier then it was. Naive, I know, but who knew naval warfare would be so excruciating to do.

Sure, the AI did warn us that we picked the highest difficulty possible for this Dungeon, something that we apparently unlocked after our "tutorial", but at the same time it did encourage us to do it, so we weren't expecting things to be that difficult. Oh how wrong we were.

As soon as we spawned in on this truly gargantuan ship, we immediately regretted our decision to do this. Mainly because the AI was "generous" enough to implement knowledge on naval warfare for us.

Remnant, in all of its history that I know of, never really participated in naval warfare, mainly thanks to the Grimm. The only real naval battles that ever happened were the ones during the Great War and that happened a hundred years ago! Even then, they were never as big as what was happening at the moment. Infact, the biggest battle didn't even have all the ships in our rewards, it was only a 4v4 that went in favor of Vale, but then the Grimm came and sunk all the other ships. It was no wonder why there was no fleet battles, it was impossible to do with the Grimm around. So, our ignorance could be explained a little bit at least.

But now that we knew exactly what we just got into, we wanted nothing more than to strangle our past selves for putting us in this situation.

Nightmare was an apt description for the situation we found ourselves in, while we only had one ship, as big as it was, we were completely dwarfed by the enemy fleet.

The AI was nice enough to at least tell us how screwed we were, a 1v82 it said. Needless to say we paled at thoes numbers. We were up against 4 Battleships, 6 Battlecrusiers, 10 Heavy Cruisers, 20 Light Cruisers, 40 Destroyers and 2 Fleet Carriers. At least we were in a Battleship with a fuck-ton of AA, though that was about all we had.

To make it even worse, we started off in a night battle with the only Faunus on board being Blake, so she was forced to spot for us. Thankfully, she had her clones and to say that they've been instrumental is a vast understatement.

We all took a guess that a secret objective was to keep a certain percentage of the crew alive, and considering how dangerous this battle was, we determined that Blake's clones should man as many AA turrets as possible. Thanks to that, we've saved a lot of lives.

When the battle first started a rainstorm of shells fell upon us. Thankfully the AI gave us some more help. Infinite ammo for our weapons.

This allowed me to keep spamming ice dust like it was running out of style, definitely saving us from sure destruction, though I did have to wait a while on reloading unfortunately.

The bigger shells from the BBs and the BCs punched through the ice still, but it definitely slowed them down enough that they didn't do nearly as much as they could have. The shells from the CAs, CLs, and DDs didn't even punch through it.

Though, the shells from the ships wasn't even our main concern, it was the airplanes and torpedoes that worried us most.

The aircraft were mostly held back from the AA, though a few did manage to get through. Thankfully, my ice usually stopped most of the harm or Ruby snipped them down with her weapon.

The torpedoes were more tricky. Right at the beginning of the battle, about half of their DDs came right at us, guns baring and torpedoes careening towards us.

We dodged as best we could, but with a ship this big, it's turning circle was absolutely horrible. Thankfully, Ruby's semblance came in massively. Whenever one would get close, she would use her semblance and bring it into her and divert it out of the way.

We unfortunately couldn't spam this as it took a lot out of her, but we thankfully didn't have to use it that much. We turned the ship well enough that we didn't have worry about the majority of them and my ice also stopped a lot of them. It was the ones that I couldn't get too or that we couldn't dodge that we had to use her semblance.

This type of thing has went on for over twelve hours now, with the sun coming up about two hours ago. Now, the enemy forces were heavily reduced.

"Enemy planes bearing from the East!" Shouted one of the Blake clones. I turned around and sure enough, four enemy planes were screaming towards us.

"They're kamikazes!" Shouted one of the men still on the AA guns. Immediately, a hail storm of bullets started firing towards the enemy planes with even Ruby coming up and taking potshots at them with fire dust.

Thankfully our wall of bullets shot them down before they could make it to us, though it still made my heart race any time I hear someone shout that.

The first time someone shouted that, we were a little bit confused as to what it meant as the AI didn't give us any kind of information on that. When we heard what it was, we panicked a bit. I mean, who was crazy enough to ran their plane into a ship?

Apparently these people were, though thankfully not one has got through yet. In fact, if I'm not mistaken then we have taken down a total of 130 planes now with the first kamikaze coming in when we took down our 90th.

The sound of our cannons roaring broke me from my thoughts as I watched our shells head towards the enemy ship, the last of the BBs if I wasn't mistaken and the last of the capital ships as well.

The shells impacted with one in particular appearently hitting the ammunition of a turret. The fireball that resulted was massive with the turret that was hit going flying hundreds of feet into the air and splitting the ship in two, sinking the last of one of our biggest threats.

"Nice shooting Yang!" Ruby yelled over the radio to Yang who was in the 'A' turret at the moment.

If I was being completely honest, Yang was at the biggest disadvantage here out of all of us in this particular Dungeon. Her fighting style was suited to close quarters combat, not dueling at this range.

It was decided that Yang would go around and do whatever she could do, wether that be fighting fires, saving crewmen or in this case, operating a turret.

"Thanks Rubes! How many of them are left?" Yang asked back.

Ruby looked to her left and spoke again, "Just the two carriers left and then we win!" I could practically feel the excitement from her as she said thoes words. I couldn't blame her as I was just as excited. We were just about to complete the impossible.

"Don't get too confident as it seems they are doing one more large attack! Thirty enemy planes bearing from the East, all kamikaze it seems!" Blake shouted as she sprung from her position and aimed her weapon at the fast approaching planes.

Letting out a massive sigh, I readied myself in the instance that I might just be needed again.

A swarm of AA fire was unleashed at the fast approaching planes, literally thousands of bullets being fired within a matter of seconds.

Every second a plane is shot down, but they are still fast approaching. Ruby was firing as quickly as she could, already taking out three planes herself.

The clones of Blake and sailors on board do their best to correct their aim and take out as many as possible.

Yang herself even came up from the turret and mounted a AA gun that wasn't in use. We were so close to winning, these planes weren't going to strip that away from us.

By the time they crossed within a thousand feet of the ship, the last of them went down in blaze of glory.

The AA fire goes silent as the realization of what's happened finally settles on us. We've effectively won. Sure, we still need to take out the carriers, but we did it. Against all odds, we did it!

I wanted nothing more than to collapse right then and there, the 12 hours of constant battle finally catching up to me, but just needed to finish then we could.

"Let's get this over with. I'm in desperate need of a bath." I said to Ruby and Blake who silently nodded.

And we did just that, adjusting course, we turned the ship in the right direction and unleashed our main armament on two enemy carriers. Finally, after ten minutes of constant fire, the last ship went down.

"Congratulations! You survived The High Seas! Now diving out rewards!"

"Congratulations! You got the skill, Blessing of the Sea!"

*Blessing of the Sea: The waves are your allies and the ocean is your home. Do twice as much damage whenever near a large body of water.*

"Congratulations! You completed Secret Objective 1: Survive with less than 50% crew loss."

"Secret Objective 1 Rewards: 4 randomly chosen ships of uncommon variety."

"Congratulations! You completed Secret Objective 2: Survive with less than 25% crew loss."

Secret Objective 2 Rewards: 2 randomly chosen ships of epic variety."

"Congratulations! You completed Secret Objective 3: Survive with less than 10% crew loss."

"Secret Objective 3 Rewards: 1 predetermined ship of Legendary variety."

"Holy-"

"-shit" Blake and I said at the same time. Those were pretty good rewards. What I'm more surprised about though is that we survived with more than 90% of the crew still left alive! I don't know how we managed that accomplishment, but I wasn't going to complain about it.

At that time, my vision went dark and I reappeared in a pitch black room with the others and a giant wheel right in front of us. Is this how we were going to get our ships?

"We must say, we weren't expecting that outcome whatsoever. When we corseted you into doing nightmare difficulty, we thought you would immediately buckle and fail within the first thirty minutes. It seems that we judged wrong. Before you spin, allow us to show you your Legendary ship, you earned it after all."

The AI voice spoke up to us before my vision went dark once more. When it came back, we were standing on a very tall cliff overlooking the ocean and right in front of us was the biggest ship I've ever seen. We all let out gasps as we looked upon it.

"Allow me to introduce you to the Flagship of your navy, Remnant Naval Ship, (RNS), BBN Dreadnought."

At the same time that the AI said that, the ship blew its horn, only adding on to the ambiance of the whole situation.

"Equipped with 4x4 22 inch guns, this behemoth eclipses 160,000 tons. Coming in at a length of 2,000 feet long and 600 feet wide, this one of the largest blue water ships you could ever ask for. Able to fire a multitude of ammunition including dust rounds and even one megaton nuclear shells, it is near the pinnacle of destruction."

We watched as the gargantuan guns turned and aimed at a nearby island. Lining up the shot, they fired and a deafening noise sounded out for miles in all directions. The shells soared and impacted islands, completely destroying it. Where there used to be an island was now only the ocean, not a single bit of land above water.

"Equipped with 10x1 8 inch casmate guns for smaller targets, this ship can be used to take on whole fleets if you so wished. Along with a near infinite supply of AA and nearly impenetrable armor, this Queen of the Sea is the perfect ship to lead any kind of navy. Crewed by over 5,000 thousand people, with half of them being Faunus, it is a floating city, capable of never having to dock."

We watched as people emerged from the superstructure of the ship as well from below deck and stared directly at us in attention, as if waiting for us to issue an order.

My eyes gazed upward and I saw six flags standing proud over the superstructure, with five of them being from the Kingdoms, including Menagerie. But even above those stood another. A flag of Remnant on a blue background with the land being colored white. It was honestly awe inspiring to see.

"Congratulations players, you deserved this." That was actually quite touching the way the AI said that. It honestly made me feel a little bad for being so annoyed with it. Just a little though, I am still pissed that it pretty much tricked us into doing that Dungeon, but I guess the rewards speak for themselves.

Again, my vision went dark and we found ourselves back with the giant wheel full of ships.

"So, are you guys ready to spin?" I asked them.

Their grins were all the answers I needed.

Welp, that is done, I hope you like it!

Now, I know what you're thinking, why on Earth did I give them a literal fleet of ships? Good question, allow me to answer.

This was going to happen anyway, but in a completely different manner. I always planned on giving them a ship, in this case Dreadnought. But that's just the thing, I only planned on giving them the one. But the I started thinking. What if I gave them more? And then it all spiraled out of control from there. The vision I have in my mind is glorious and it would be a shame not at least try and write it.

Is it overpowered? Oh absolutely. Do I care? Yeah, somewhat as I don't ruin the story with this kind of thing, but I'm willing to bet I won't. Only time will tell though, huh?

Now, I'm 100% willing to admit that the way they won the battle was probably bull shit. I mean, come on, people with absolutely zero naval experience take on a fleet of 82 ships? Yeah, that makes total sense. But for the sake of fun and the absolutely massive battle I have in my head, I decided to suspend my disbelief. I hope you can as well.

With that rant over, now onto more fun stuff, naming! To be completely honest, it isn't my strong suit, so if you have any suggestions for the ships names, then please shoot them my way. To give an over view on what the fleet will look like, I have the outline for 1 battleship, (RNS Dreadnought) 1 battlecruiser, 2 carriers, 2 heavy cruisers, 2 light cruisers and 10 destroyers.

But, that's just an outline, so it could change. Leave your thoughts, I love to read them!

But, that's about all I have for you, so until next time, and have an amazing day!
