Liam tried his best to talk, but he couldn't. He's never tried to talk to anybody after he had died. He tried to talk to the night guard that worked at the pizzeria at one point, but it was that incident that made him realize that alive humans, see a disturbing animatronic bunny, and nothing else. Now, Tae and the rest of this apparently boy band, are seeing the same.
Liam took deep breaths to calm himself down, but it must have been the stress of the moment that was keeping him from holding himself together. He tried to take another step forward, but that resulted in Tae throwing something at him.
"Come on, let's get away from this!" Tae yelled to his bandmates. But Jesse wasn't too fond of that idea.
"What?! We can't just leave this thing here!" He yelled to Tae.
"Yeah!" Aaron T said, "It clearly came from the door!"
"But how?" Robaire said after. "I thought only Mark was able to use the door?!"
Liam tried to walk forward again.
"Ahh!" Tae yelled. The sight of the animatronic rabbit, with its dark eyes and a radiant light in the pupil, sent shivers down Tae's and everyone's spines.
'Guys... It's me!' Liam tried to speak.
"Oh God, it's making that weird sound again!" Robaire exclaimed.
Liam looked at Robaire, then at Tae.
Liam decided to give it his all. He summoned every ounce of energy to speak Tae's name, but it left him feeling drained. 'T-Tae...' he managed to utter, though the effort left him weakened.
He saw that Tae was staring into his face. After a while, he looked at Robaire for a moment, then back at him.
"D-Did... Did It just say my name?" Tae said.
"I thought I was tripping..." Aaron T said. "I-It did say your name... Why did it...?"
"Should we still run?! Why are we still standing here?!" Robaire yelled at them.
'I have to try again...' Liam said to himself. Liam took an internal deep breath. He braced for the power drain.
'Tae... It's... Me... Liam...'
Liam saw Tae's face change. He looked a little shocked. Did he hear him? The other bandmates seemed like they didn't. At least, not Robaire. "What did it say?"
"I heard the name Liam... That's all I heard," Jesse said.
Tae blinked. "...Liam?" He spoke.
Toy Bonnie's head tilted a little bit. The glitching simmered down a little.
"L-Liam?!" Tae gasped.
"Wait... What? Who's Liam? Is that the guy's name who you were with?" Jesse asked.
Tae looked hesitant to walk up to Toy Bonnie. "W-What? This doesn't make any sense... prove that you're Liam... there's no way that you're him!"
Liam didn't know what to do. He didn't spend enough time with Tae for him to know a lot of things about him. 'Crap... What should I do the prove that I'm Liam?' Liam thought to himself.
Liam took another internal deep breath for the next thing he was going to say.
"Freddy... Fazbear's... Pizza..." Liam tried to speak. That was the only thing that Tae knew about him. Or, at least the only thing Tae heard him say.
Tae gasped in response. "L-Liam... It is you...!"
"Huh?!" Robaire exclaimed.
"What do you mean it's him? How would this be him?"
"I don't know either..." Tae said. Then he looked back up at the rabbit. "What happened Liam? Why are... why are you this... Rabbit thing? And what is with the... possessed look?"
Liam tried to speak again, but he used too much energy. He was pushing himself too much. He couldn't withstand the glitching. The lights in the stadium started to flicker.
Tae was startled by the sudden twitching in Toy Bonnie's face, but then he gasped... They all gasped- once the lights started to go in and out in the Skydome.
That would have been the final straw probably, but then something weird happened.
After Liam started to twitch again, more than the last time- He changed back into a human. Toy Bonnie just poofed away, with Liam taking his spot.
"L-Liam!" Tae gasped at seeing him.
But Liam felt super weak. He couldn't stand straight. Tae didn't hesitate this time, and ran up to Liam before he could fall over, and caught him. "G-Gotcha!" Tae said as he held Liam.
Poor Liam was panting. He felt exhausted. He felt a little calmer as Tae held onto him. After a few minutes, he came back too. But when he did, the other members wanted answers.
"What the hell... did I just witness?!" Robaire said. Liam looked at him. Even he didn't know what just happened.
Tae looked at Liam, as he let go of him. "A-Are you alright?" He asked.
Liam could only nod. He didn't know what else to say. "Y-Yeah..."
Tae held onto Liam's arm. "Follow me, come to my dressing room," Tae said, as he slowly started to walk while holding onto Liam's arms.
"Y-You're just going to take him into-," But Robaire couldn't finish his sentence since Tae told him to shush.
Once Tae brought Liam into his dressing room, he once again could see all those dark marks all over the room. It felt a little eerie, to say the least. Especially the fact that Tae Young didn't seem too bothered with it. Tae told him to sit on the couch, and that's what he did.
"Usually it's either me or select fans who get to go on a meet and greet with us, get to see our dressing rooms," Tae said. "But you are... a special occasion,"
Liam smiled a that, but then he looked around the room. "T-Tae... I can't keep it in anymore...," He pointed around the room. "What the hell?"
Tae looked around. He sighed, then covered his face. "I was hoping you'd never notice that..."
"Never notice it? T-Tae, it's covering the entire goddamn room..." Liam said in disbelief that Tae would think he wouldn't notice.
Tae sat next to Liam. "Well, that door... Something else was from it..."
Liam tilted his head. "Something else?"
Tae Young nodded. "Yes, and... it came into his room. It was this weird creature that was covered in this dark... black type of mist. I think we... killed it,"
"W-We? Who... You and the rest of 4 Town?"
"Uh... Y-Yeah," Tae said. "It like... exploded or something, and it stained the walls and the ceiling,"
Liam blinked and looked at the weird marks again.
"But, enough of that..." Tae said, turning his attention back to Liam. "I need to know more about you...," Tae said. "What was all that about?" He tilted his head toward the door back out.
Liam knew Tae was talking about when he turned into Toy Bonnie. Even he doesn't understand it. Hell, he doesn't even understand why he's even next to Tae right now... moreover as a human again. Why did he change back into the animatronic, and then back into a human being again?
"Tae... I... there is something you should know about me," Liam started.
Tae adjusted himself on the couch, and nodded, "Hm-hm, I'm listening," He said.
"Ok... uh... where do I begin... You remember I mentioned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, like a little over an hour ago, right?" He asked, hoping that Tae would remember so he wouldn't have to explain even more things. Tae thankfully, nodded.
"Yeah, I do,"
"Well, it is... a pizzeria with mascots. But, the mascots are animatronics,"
Tae blinked. "Ok... Animatronics? Wait... aren't animatronics a type of like... Robot?"
Liam nodded. "Yes,"
Tae tilted his head. "But that thing that happened to you... now that I'm looking back at it... It actually looked like a robot..." Tae gasped, and looked at Liam. "You were one of the mascots? You are a robot? B-But how?"
"I... um..." Liam is a robot. But he's not at the same time. Or at least, never used to be. But he doesn't know how to word that to Tae. He knows if he just came out to him, and said that his soul haunted the animatronic, he'd definitely sound stupid. Especially with the fact that he is alive at the moment.
But it seemed like Tae had an idea of what was happening.
"Liam, I saw that animatronic thing, glitching... it was speaking like a weird language or something," Tae said.
"I-I..." Liam didn't know what to say, he felt nervous all of a sudden.
"Hey," Tae said. It seemed as if Tae could have seen right into his emotions. "It's ok... I just wanna know how I could help more..." He said as he placed his hand on Liam's shoulder.
Liam blinked.
He decided to tell Tae his story.
I used to visit Freddy Fazbear's Pizza all the time when I was younger. And I mean, all the time. I practically lived there. I didn't go because of the greasy pizza, or the arcade games... but... the animatronics. I was such a nerd for those types of things. My favorite animatronic was Bonnie. I loved his little whiskers and his overall appearance. But, a lot of parents hated the animatronic designs and claimed they looked too scary. Everyone was on edge, cause the restaurant doesn't have a good history with it's owner.
The company redesigned its animatronics. To look more appealing. Bonnie earned an obvious upgrade, but I preferred the older Bonnie, but there was nothing I could do. Anyways... the owner of the restaurant... offered me a tour of the restaurant after hours one night, when all the kids cleared out. He noticed that I had a liking to the lifelike animals, and to my knowledge at the time... I thought I was going to have the time of my life...
It turns out those rumors that were going around about the owner... were true. He was a murderer. He killed me. Right there. I don't know how... or why... but shortly after... my soul... my spirit... it went into the newly designed Bonnie...
Once Liam finished talking, he looked up and saw Tae Young just staring at him. He didn't say anything, he just stared, with a confused expression. Liam couldn't differ if it was a worried expression, scared, or disgusted.
"So... That's the story of me," Liam said. "I'm dead. It's why you couldn't hear me when I talked... I never was able to communicate with humans again," Liam shook his head.
"Liam... I... I'm so sorry..." Tae managed to say, his voice filled with sympathy. "You... I... you shouldn't have gone through all of that..."
Liam sighed. "Long story short... I found myself here, just a few hours ago," He spoke. He looked towards the door of the dressing room. "Do you really think I came from that door outside there?"
"I'm not sure," Tae spoke. "But... would you really want to go back? You don't have to! You can stay here with us..." Tae looked at Liam. "Something clearly happened when you came here... You... You seemed like you became alive again,"
Liam thought about it. He felt like he did want to say. But he doesn't want to leave the other spirits hanging.
"I'd want to... But I wasn't the only one the owner killed,"
Tae gasped, "He killed more?!"
Liam nodded. "I told you, the rumors were true. They all possess the other animatronics,"
Tae hugged Liam. "That's... That's so sad..."
Liam blushed a bit, not realizing it, and hugged Tae back. "It is... he stripped those kids away from their childhoods, they were so young,"
Tae blinked and looked at Liam. "Wait... Young? How... old were they?"
"Like... 10-12," Liam told Tae.
Tae gasped. "WHAT?!"
Liam just sighed and shook his head. "I know, it's... shocking. Afton... makes you remember that horrible people are all over in this world,"
Tae blinked. "Worlds too..." He shook his head. "Geez, that's all disturbing to think about..."
"You know when I first became Toy Bonnie... I.. I found it so wicked..." Liam said. "I found it so damn cool. I was... an animatronic. I wasn't my favorite one, but I was still a Bonnie. I was an actual robot. But then I saw the other souls, and how scared they were. They were controlling broken animatronics. They barely could walk right, and they were locked in a room all day. Plus, all those kids were just scared... and felt hopeless," Liam buried his head in his hands. "I felt like I was so wrong for thinking it was amazing that I was a robot..."
Liam felt Tae Young rubbing his back. "No, you weren't in the wrong. You didn't even know at the time..."
Liam didn't say anything and just kept quiet.
Then, a growling sound emanated from his stomach, and he remembered his hunger.
"Was that your tummy?" Tae asked, blinking.
Liam took his head away from his hands and then looked down at his stomach. "Y-Yeah, I think so... I'm hella hungry," Liam spoke as he rubbed his stomach, which started to rumble again. "Becoming alive again... I forgot food exists,"
"I can ask Robaire to order takeout," Tae said, as got up. "What would you like?"
"This might sound... stupid since I had a bad experience at a pizza place... But I could go for some pizza..." Liam said.
Tae Young only just smiled softly. "Okay, pizza it is," He said. Liam watched as Tae left the room. He was just there, in the quiet, the only sound was his rumbling belly.
Liam sighed. "Oh geez..." He said. He never told anyone what he said to Tae before. He just felt like he had to come out with it. He hasn't even known Tae for that long. He just had to say it all. It was always weighing him down. He felt a little relieved. He didn't even bother to tell Tae about Afton figuring out that he knew about the dead kids, just ever-so-slightly. It was why he killed him. Afton thought he knew about what happened and just wanted him dead. Then, Liam started to think about the kids. He wants them to have the same level of relief too. They deserve it more than him- or that's what he thinks. He wants them happy.
After a few moments of waiting, Tae finally came back into the room. "Ok, so Robaire placed the order for three boxes of pizzas for us," He said. He sat next to Liam.
"You ok?" Tae asked as he sat.
Liam looked over at him. He nodded. "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine..."
"Liam, it's okay if you feel... like... weird about all of this. That's normal..." Tae said to him, then sat next to him.
Liam nodded. He looked at Tae, but, for some reason, he felt his heart skip a beat from looking at him. He hadn't felt that in such a long time. He got a flashback to when he was in school, and he was going to ask someone out... He remembered that weird sensation in his chest every time he saw that person.
He was feeling it again, but looking at Tae Young.
"You alright?" Tae asked, tilting his head. "You're welcome to lie down on the couch," Tae said, as he got up. "I can leave again and give you some space,"
"No- I-," But then, Liam went with that. He felt as if he probably could do with some rest. "Yeah, maybe I should..."
Tae nodded and smiled a bit. He got up, and then rubbed Liam's hair. "Alright 80s hairdo," Tae teased. "The pizzas should be here in like a half hour, get some rest till then..."
Liam blushed slightly from Tae ruffling his hair. He smiled, then lay down on the couch once Tae left the room.
Liam blinked as he stared up at the ceiling. "Oh no... Do I like him?" He thought out loud. "Geez, 4 hours of being alive again, and I got a crush already..." Liam said rolling his eyes. "Like I'd have any chance with him, as if. He's apparently famous here!" He grumbled. He turned his head toward the couch's back. He felt tired. "Damn, I never felt.. like I need sleep in a while..." He said as he closed his eyes.
