Kami's Lookout

"Alright, Ricky! Let's see how you do against me. Give me all you've got! And besides, this is a good chance to practice that technique I just taught you." Krillin tells the Earthling to ready himself.

"Ya goddamn right, it is." Ricky replied, having the urge to battle in his mind.

Ricky and Krillin both sprint at each other, with Krillin throwing the first punch. Ricky blocks the punch, not taking any damage from it. Ricky would deliver a 14-piece combo of strikes before he blasted him eight times in a row. Ricky laughed with enjoyment as he Ki-Blasted Krillin 16 more times, with Krillin barely getting hurt from them.

"Yeah, now we're talking! Keep up those attacks, Ricky!" Krillin encouraged him.

"Oh, don't'cha worry, Krillin. I got more of those left in me!" Ricky yelled in response as he flew towards.

Ricky would just guard against another of Krillin's punches and grapple him three times in a row, tossing him around like a ragdoll. Ricky, flying down to the lookout, breathed heavily as he realized he'd not used the technique Krillin taught him. Ricky would pat his face, telling himself to get back into the fight, restoring his stamina right afterward. Yelling vigorously, Ricky would fly behind Krillin while he was flying at him once more. In shock, Krillin turned to see Ricky fire a consecutive barrage of Ki Blasts, hitting him with the technique and ending the lesson.

"That wasn't too shabby, Ricky. I think you might have what it takes! Wanna go straight to the first lesson?" Krillin asked him if the Earthling was willing to continue progressing forward.

"Oh, hell yeah! Let's move right into that!" Ricky replied confidently.

West City (Industrial Sector)

"Alright, Ricky. It's time for this lesson to begin. Use the technique I taught you to try and beat me." Krillin instructed him.

"Alright, Krillin. But are you sure you want me to do that?" Ricky asked, concerned.

"Relax. I said you should try to be me, but we're just sparring, alright?" Krillin reassures Ricky not to attack him.

"Alrighty, Krillin. Say less!"

Ricky and Krillin charge right into the battle, with Ricky already delivering a 14-piece combo on Krillin and following it up with firing 8 Ki blasts. Recovering immediately right after, Krillin would throw some punches and kicks of his own, with Ricky blocking all of them with no damage being received. Ricky then follows it up with three grapples, once again throwing Krillin like a ragdoll and throwing him down to the street upon the final grapple.

"I knew you could do it. Looks like I should start fighting a little more seriously myself!" Krillin congratulates Ricky on his staggering growth rate.

"By all means, step it up, Krillin!" Ricky encouraged his mentor.

Krillin obliges by Aura-Burst Dashing towards Ricky, only for the tall Earthling to time the Just-Guard technique perfectly upon Krillin getting close enough. Delivering another 14-piece combo on Krillin, Ricky would fire 10 barrages of consecutive Ki Blasts at Krillin, which all hit him square on. Krillin chuckled, noting how cheeky Ricky can be around his mentors. He would Aura-Burst Dash towards Ricky one last time, only for Ricky to time the Just-Guard technique again and throw the Orin Combo technique on him, ending the lesson right there and then.

"Wooh, great work! That's enough for this lesson!" Krillin instructed Ricky, who stopped fighting as a response.

"You know, Ricky. You're a lot better than I was when I started training." Krillin notes of the potential growth Ricky has.

"Well, not to undermine you or anything, but the training you and Goku went through by Roshi wasn't the safest. And hey, it does get the job done in whatever battle you faced in!" Ricky assures Krillin of his efficiency as a mentor.

"Thanks for the compliment! I look forward to seeing just how far your potential will carry you! You wanna go straight to the next lesson?" Krillin asked Ricky to progress further.

"Any time, any day!" Ricky replied, bowing in respect.

"Okay, let's get started. Yamcha will be joining us this time!" Krillin instructed him, having Yamcha by his side.

"Ah, that's Yamcha, eh? Yo, Yamcha! How's your baseball career!" Ricky greeted him with enthusiasm.

"Going pretty well, Ricky!" Yamcha replied to him, liking his enthusiasm.

"Yamcha and I will run away from you, so use your skills to bring us down. Copy that?" Krillin instructed Ricky to use the Destructo-Disc on them from a distance.

"Copy that!" Ricky replied.

"I've heard you're pretty good. But I won't let you catch me that easily, Ricky!" Yamcha dared Ricky to close the distance between them.

"Really, now? Say less!"

Ricky sprints towards Yamcha at full speed, accepting the dare he gives him. Yamcha throws a punch at Ricky, only for him to Just-Guard against it and grapple him three times in quick succession right off the battle. Yamcha would yell in shock as he got thrown around like a ragdoll. Once Ricky threw him down onto the road in the suburbs, Yamcha would fly up to Ricky only to find him out of his line of sight. Yamcha couldn't sense his energy as well, and neither could Krillin as they both searched for Ricky's presence. However, Ricky snuck up behind Yamcha as the Desert Bandit yelled in horror before getting a 14-Piece combo for lowering his guard.

Ricky would fire 8 Ki Blasts at the Desert Bandit as a follow-up. Yamcha would recover quick enough to see Ricky sprinting at him again and tried to throw a kick, only for the Earthling to Just-Guard against it as well and fire eight more Ki Blasts at him. Yamcha would fire a stream of Ki Blasts of his own, only to react in horror upon seeing Ricky deflect all of them as he was about to run down the Desert Bandit. Yamcha was about to grapple with Ricky before the giant Earthling vanished. Time would slow to a crawl as Yamcha turned to see Ricky readying a punch. Ricky threw a heavy punch to Yamcha's back, massively fracturing it, causing immense damage, and forcing Yamcha to squeal in pain.

"Destructo-Disc!"

Ricky charges the attack and fired it in quick succession, hitting Yamcha and taking him out of the fight. Krillin would cringe from Yamcha getting laid out flat.

"Wow, you must be lucky as fuck. Because if you were significantly weaker than I am, a Destructo-Disc from me would result in anyone getting split in half, both literally and figuratively." Ricky casually commented on Yamcha's survivability from an otherwise deadly technique.

"Damn, Ricky! You didn't have to do that to Yamcha!" Krillin yelled in surprise over Ricky's aggressiveness.

"It's like you said, Krillin. You told me to give it all I got. And hey, I'm doing that not just for you, but for anyone you bring along for my training." Ricky replied nonchalantly.

Ricky would smack himself, using his Ki to regain stamina, as Krillin flew at him. Krillin throws a roundhouse kick on Ricky, only for the giant Earthling to sway behind him and use the Orin Combo against Krillin. The short, bald Earthling attempts to hit Ricky while he's behind him, but that effort is for naught as Ricky sees the punch coming and Just-Guarded it with precise timing. Krillin's jaw dropped in amazement at Ricky's ability to read anyone's movements like a book mid-battle as he got a heavy punch to his stomach, making him cough up blood. Ricky fires one last Destructo Disc at Krillin, which lands on him cleanly, ending the lesson right after.

"Woohee. Great work today, Ricky! That's all for now." Krillin gets back up and gives him a thumbs up.

"Thanks, Krillin. Your training is making me grow quick AF!" Ricky replied with appreciation.

"You're not a bad teacher if your student can do this well against us, Krillin." Yamcha gets back up after his fractured back was loose enough.

"Heh heh... Didn't I tell you? My star pupil is gonna go far!" Krillin replied to Yamcha's comment on Ricky's potential.

"Way to go, Ricky! Even Yamcha is impressed!" Krillin gives him a fist-bump

"Hey, let's not try to give me a big head, alright?" Ricky smiled, accepting the fist-bump offered to him.

"Hehe, yeah. Sorry." Krillin apologized.

The sun is setting upon Conton City as night falls upon everyone present in the city. Ricky and Krillin have gotten protein shakes for their godlike physiques to have their muscles repair themselves faster than they would normally and heal their bodies faster in general. Krillin was beaten badly to the point of having to postpone his lessons with Ricky, who feels guilty about dealing as much damage to him and Yamcha as he did. Regardless, their friendship as master and student would continue to grow as they sparred regularly without any specific lessons for Ricky regarding techniques.

"Woohee, these Senzu Shakes are freaking nutty. I can actually feel my muscles repairing already!" Ricky commented on the protein shake's healing properties.

"Yeah, you'd be surprise to know just how successful these Senzu Shakes have gotten once they got revealed to the public!" Krillin replied to Ricky's comment.

"Oh, yeah? How successful are we talking? Like Hercule Satan levels of successful?" Ricky guessed.

"Exactly! A lot of guys and gals used Senzu Shakes to get as ripped and muscular as they do with their fitness goals. It stands for a reason why there hasn't been a single fat Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, or even Frost Demon out there anymore." Krillin drops some backstory regarding the protein shakes.

"Well, hot diggity damn! You gotta do some mad manufacturing to sell those types of shakes to the public!" Ricky chuckled in amusement.

"Yeah, you do!" Krillin chuckled as well as he took another sip from the Senzu Shake.

"So, Krillin. I don't mean to get personal with ya. But considering the fact that we've been sparring for 2 weeks now, you did say there's a third lesson for me once I'm qualified for it. You don't think I'm not good enough for that, right?" Ricky asked Krillin a personal question regarding their master-student relationship.

"What? No, I've never thought of you like that! Probably should've told you there are Advancement Tests you can take once your overall grade is satisfactory or higher. Sorry about that..." Krillin revealed some Time Patrol academics Ricky didn't know of.

"Hey, it's cool, Krillin. Not gonna judge ya for that. Besides, I'm probably not quite there yet anyway." Ricky accepted his apology as he takes another sip from his Senzu Shake.

"That's true. But hey, there are Parallel Quests you can do to keep your overall grade up!" Krillin replied, pointing to the Time Machine Station.

"Parallel Quests? You mean those missions that involve going into different timelines and have different stuff happening?" Ricky asked him, recognizing those types of quests.

"Yep, I heard it's a great way to improve a Time Patroller's ability to fight against stronger foes. You should give it a whirl!" Krillin gives Ricky some advice.

"Aye, I'll think about it. And hey, I'll check to see if an Advancement Test is there for me to accept its challenge." Ricky shakes Krillin's hand.

"You don't need to do that. Someone will notify you once it's ready." Krillin replied, revealing that someone will keep track of Ricky's progress for him.

"Well, in that case, I'll see you when I'm ready." Ricky bowed to Krillin in respect.

"Alright, Ricky! Take care!" Krillin bowed to his student in return.

Ricky and Krillin both go along their separate ways for now to go on with their nightly rest.
