"How are you so good with your magic already, didn't you just get it today?" asked Kindra while spelling the door closed behind her.
"I did, but I have been studying since I was little on how to use it and preparing myself to find and kill you for taking everything from me!" said Candace before the door was blown open.
"And now here I am, ready to end you and our parents in one go," she said while walking into the kitchen.
"What did you do to mom and dad?" asked Kindra as she stood at the kitchen island.
"Look at the counter, they're sitting right there," said Candace while motioning with her head. Kindra then slowly turned her own head to the counter where two candles were burning, one smaller than the other.
"It's kind of easy to turn people into candles, but mortals always burn faster so it's not really all that fun," said Candace.
"Turn them back, they have nothing to do with this!" said Kindra.
"Oh but they do," said Candace.
"They could have gone against tradition and kept us both!" she said before shooting her magic at Kindra who countered with her own, both beams of magic being canceled out by each other.
"That's why you're so mad, because you had a different life?!" asked Kindra.
"I was sent to live with our Aunt Katrina, everyday was a fight for my life with her as she did everything in her power to hurt and train me to kill you one day," said Candace.
"All while you got nothing but love from your family and friends!" she said.
"You think my life has been easy?!" asked Kindra.
"Until I was thirteen I had no friends and was bullied relentlessly, then Liam moved here and finally someone started hanging out with me but even then things haven't been better," she said.
"That doesn't change the fact that your life was better than mine!" said Candace.
"You're right," said Kindra while noticing Liam hopping into the kitchen as the fire spread through the doorway.
"Because unlike you, I'm not alone," she said. Liam then jumped onto Candace's face, causing her attack to stop.
"Get off!" said Candace. Right as she grabbed Liam and tossed him away, Kindra blasted her with a spell which sent Candace flying through the door and into the flames.
"We have to get out of here," said Kindra while scooping up Liam and her parents before zapping herself out of the house.
