Even though everyone who knew them knew that Chiffon would be the chosen volunteer, it's still a huge deal for the family.

Their mother takes them out for dinner at Chiffon's favourite restaurant. She lets both her kids indulge in champagne. She gives a toast to her beautiful daughter, and, with her forceful voice, gets all the other patrons to raise their glasses too.

Chiffon smiles at all the attention she receives but, when no one else is looking, she sticks her tongue out at Wonder, mocking him playfully.

It's enough to make Wonder relax, even more than he already does every day. Even though she's a future Victor of the Hunger Games, she's still the same old Chiffon deep down.

She appears to have simply buried herself under herself so their mother wouldn't notice.

Wonder never bothered to change himself too much. He never saw the point of it. He was Wonder St Germaine, and no one else was. He liked himself the way he already was.

Now, if only their mother could accept them both…
