Seven years before the Awakening of the Avatar, in a Fire Nation occupied city on the Continental Earth Kingdom's East Coast, an orphan boy by the name of "Fluke", with a past he does not remember, finds himself attempting to simply survive the hellish conditions of his city's slums, not yet knowing the role he'll come to play in the intensifying Hundred Years' War

What if Ursa was executed instead of banished? What if Azula had gotten closer to Zuko and Iroh after that? What if Aang was not the Avatar? Disappeared Avatar, Azula travels with Zuko, serious war background, horrors and victims of war taken seriously, trauma not brushed aside. Anti-hate, pro-love fiction, although sometimes you'll want to hate the bad guys. Divergence from canon.

AU of "The Chase," where Azula strikes Zuko with lightning instead of Iroh, with even direr consequences for the banished prince. Thankfully, Team Avatar is willing to set aside their differences to try to save their fallen enemy. No character death!

So I guess this makes it a series? Follows my other stories, Full Moon and Earthbending Practice. It's dark. Really dark, and Zuko is nowhere to be seen. Katara's not suspicious, exactly, but she's also not going to be able to sleep until she knows where he's wandered off to.

Takes place after the end of "Lake Laogai". As the kids escape on Appa in the aftermath of the battle with Long Feng, Aang notices that Katara is still sad and tries to comfort her while asking some questions he would like to know the answers to. The last thing Katara remembers is the Battle of Ba Sing Se. Now she's waking up with a splitting headache to find that fifteen years have passed, and she's married to Fire Lord Zuko with four kids. With a sinister plot in the offing, Katara and Zuko must navigate their personal and family issues or risk the peacefulness the Fire Nation has finally achieved.

Pre-Southern Raiders, in which Zuko and Katara are captured by an underground cage-bending ring and forced to fight to the death. Katara is ready to do what is necessary to stall until rescue arrives, but much to her surprise, Zuko refuses to fight. Or, in which Katara is forced to work with Zuko and learns to understand him a little more along the way.

My personal take on the beloved tv show. With Aang and the other characters being slightly aged up, this is how I would have done the show differently. Kataang.

Slight AU to the finale, where Zuko tries to reason with Azula in honor of their mother. Azula wants something entirely different – for Zuko to bow before the new Firelord. When Zuko refuses, Azula proves just how far she's willing to go to get what she wants.

Follow-up to Full Moon. Toph finds out Zuko let Katara teach him waterbending, and isn't at all pleased he didn't come to her. Just a bit of fun.

On their travels through the Earth Kingdom an old friend joins Zuko and Iroh. Kemori had been Iroh's student and followed them for a good amount of time on the order of her old master. What effect will she have on the story, and what secrets does her past and her heritage hold? This is a Zuko x OC story, it follows the original storyline to a great deal and is rated M to be sure.

Ozai planned that Zuko would die during the Agni Kai. When he survives, Zuko must leave the Fire Nation to hide from his father. Far away from everything he knew, Zuko discovers a world he never expected.

Zorra is the 'Water Dragon', the only waterbending soldier to serve in the Fire Nation Army. Her mother was a water tribe prisoner who rejected her, her father was a soldier who risked his life to save her. It's clear where Zorra's loyalty lies, until she is assigned as an aide to Prince Zuko in his search for the Avatar, which soon causes her to begin questioning...everything.

A heartbroken Sokka finds new love in none other than Zuko's mom Ursa. Can their love for each other fight off against people who don't approve of their relationship and say its wrong for a young teen to be in love with his best friends mom? or let love go?.

Iroh and Zuko were banished. When they reach Ba Sing Se, Zuko realizes there is more to life than returning to the Fire Nation.
