During the annual Winter Solstice feast, Tauriel learns that her parents may or may not be alive and living in Lothlorien. With the help of Legolas and King Thranduil, Tauriel learns just who she is and where she came from.

My own twist on what happens before the battle of the five armies and what happens when Thorin develops some feelings for Bilbo. (I do not own the characters or setting of this story.)

When their mother unexpectedly dies, Fili and Kili are taken under Thorin's wing and Fili is appointed Heir to the throne of Erebor. At first he is intrigued with the prospect of his new role. But in Erebor not all is as it seems, and all that glitters is not gold. When it is, it corrupts and twists, and turns once-glorious dreams into living nightmares. NON-CON : ADULTS ONLY PLZ!

Bilbo had been sleeping in Thorin's bed since before the Battle of Five Armies, but it was just sleeping. They were more comfortable within arms reach of the other. It wasn't anything more than that. Now if only they could convince the rest of the company of that. Also, all of Erebor would be good too. *slash*
