Frodo longs for adventure, while Bilbo remains haunted by memories of the past and hesitates to take his new heir on a dangerous journey. But when surprising news arrives from Erebor, Bilbo is forced to admit that adventure might not be finished with him just yet. AU

Dragons do not lightly suffer company in their hoards, unless that company intrigues them or bears some resemblance to treasure, and I somehow happened to manage both. OR: Smaug decides it would be amusing to confirm the old folktales of captured Princesses and Dragons. All princesses need saving, and it's no different for Carmen - even if she's not, in fact, a princess.

Thranduil and Smaug - they have so much in common! Love of jewels, distaste of dwarves, aggressive protection of their territory and jewels from said dwarves...so perhaps even a bit too much in common. Pure crack, but don't tell me they won't make a splendid couple!
