"Open your eyes…" A mysterious voice made itself heard in Sonic the Hedgehog's mind. "Open your eyes…" The voice became clearer in Sonic's ears as he started to come to. "Open your eyes. Wake up, Sonic." Sonic the hedgehog slowly opened his eyes and sat up on the magical bed he'd been lying on. He was in the Shrine of Resurrection, a magical shrine that had the power to heal after a twenty four hour slumber. But Sonic had been sleeping much longer than that. He wondered who was talking to him. Slowly, he climbed out of the bed and started to walk cautiously forward. He noticed a pedestal not far away and upon it was what looked like a magical tablet. Curious, he slowly picked it up. "That is a Sheikah Slate," said the mysterious voice. "Take it with you. It will help guide you after your long slumber." Sonic took the sheikah slate with him and continued on his way. A little ways away, he saw another pedestal. "Hold the sheikah slate up to the pedestal," said the mystery voice. "That will show you the way." Sonic did as told, holding the sheikah slate up to the pedestal. It activated a door that opened which led Sonic to the outside. He shielded his eyes from the bright sunlight before running towards it. Before he went any further, Sonic heard the mysterious voice again that belonged to a woman. "Sonic, you are the light… our light… that must shine upon Hyrule once again." Sonic gasped. Could Princess Zelda be in trouble?
