Kristoff made sure everything on the roof of the van was tied up completely.
"We have all we need, let's just go," he announced.
"Wait!" Olaf called out, "I forgot the snacks! Give me a minute, guys!"
"Do we need snacks?" Elsa asked.
Olaf was already back inside the building.
"I'm kind of hungry, honestly," Anna admitted. "Do you mind if I run inside so that I have something for myself?"
"I'm sure Olaf plans on bringing more than enough for everyone," Kristoff sighed, "but go ahead, Sven can wait."
Anna ran off.
"Sven?" Elsa asked.
"Yeah, Sven. The van."
"Why Sven?"
"Because it's a Swedish name," Kristoff shrugged, turning away to check that everything was ready.
"But this is a VW," Elsa said, perplexed.
"Uh, well, I used to have this really ancient Volvo," Kristoff explained.
"Older than this thing?"
"It's not a thing, it's Sven," Kristoff retorted. "And, yes, older than this. Didn't even have seatbelts. Do you know how old a Swedish car has to be to have no seatbelts?"
"No," Elsa admitted.
Just then, Anna and Olaf emerged from the front door of the apartment building. Olaf was carrying a large cooler, and Anna had a tupperware container that Kristoff last remembered seeing at the bottom of the kitchen sink.
"I packed up a few things in the cooler, and Anna made sandwiches!" Olaf announced.
"Where did you get all that stuff?" Kristoff asked.
"Oh, you know…" Olaf drifted off as he opened the van door and slid the cooler across the floor, never explaining.
"So, what are we waiting for?" Anna asked between bites of one of the sandwiches she had made a few minutes before.
"You're ready now?" Kristoff asked.
They all nodded.
"Fine, everyone get in!"
Kristoff climbed into the driver seat. He looked in the rearview mirror, and felt slightly disappointed seeing Anna get into the back with her sister.
"I call shotgun!" Olaf shouted as he got in next to Kristoff.
"I'm sure I won't doze off now," Kristoff said, forcing a smile, as they finally got moving.
"Oh! Oh!" Olaf bounced in his seat. "I have this new trivia app! Let's play!"
