A true fairy tale...

I was abandoned by my biological mother… again, the one I had searched for months to "save" me, and my adoptive mother, who had raised me since I was born.

Was she right? Did she never love me? Did she ever love me? Why does it hurt so much?

Where am I?

My whole body feels heavy, my eyes, what's happening to me?

Why can't I see anything?

Was it intentional? Maybe they never loved me… but that doesn't really matter now… no, not anymore…, but it does. I had always been alone from the moment I was born.

Isn't that right… moms?

My mother, the Evil Queen, only adopted me to fill a void in her heart. To her, I was just an object, something to satisfy her emotional needs, momentarily… it's so unpleasant.

And my other mother, the so-called "Savior," who was supposed to save me, but what a joke, she left me again. Should I be surprised? If the only real reason she stayed in this unbearable town was out of mere pity and guilt, which always reflected on her face… she never loved me…

Why would she?

They abandoned me, but I couldn't blame them, could I? They were all just victims of a curse. I'm just a mistake; I shouldn't have existed.

I didn't feel hatred or resentment towards them… I think. Why would I? Maybe if I'm crazy, maybe none of this exists… how I wish that were real… just a simple dream.

Agony

One of the many anomalies that occurred on the planet, one of them had occurred, but none of them stood out for the radiation it left behind, however, this one presented a considerable amount of energy, this energy was alien to our universe.

Storybrooke, Maine US.

Upon entering the town, it emitted a large amount of radiation, we believed that the people who lived there had died, but it was desolate, as we ventured in, the animals behaved differently, when we got out of the vehicles and walked the streets, the animals just watched us, they observed us, it was as if they were guarding something, or someone.

While my team continued to check the town that apparently was empty, they had informed me about having found a boy, who might have been fourteen or fifteen years old under a psychiatric hospital, connected to machines, but before they could enter the animals, dogs, cats, wolves, birds, even bears, did not let us in, so they had to put them to sleep to be able to pass.

They said several times that this was quite unusual, they mentioned that the animals prevented them from entering, but he had his eyes closed, he seemed asleep, it was impossible for him to control them, but apparently, he does not control them, they did it independently.

It was as if he communicated with them.

Could it be some kind of telekinesis? On very few occasions had I witnessed that kind of ability, but of course it was just a theory that occurred to me at the time because of their slight comments on the situation, and when they entered, they saw the boy leaning against the wall.

"His position resembled that of a rag doll," was what they said.

I asked one of my men to lay him on a stretcher, he obeys and instantly the place received an electric shock, illuminating the whole place, and from one moment to another the boy slowly opens his eyes, the boy saw us, so I took a deep breath and thought of some question that might make him talk.

"Hello," I said as I walked towards him. "I'm Agent Michael. What's your name?"

He kept looking at me. He had brown hair and wore a black coat and had a green and red scarf tied around his hand. As I examined his body I looked into his eyes. They were different. They seemed dull while his pupil lit up. After observing him and not getting any response I took another breath and tried asking him another question but still got no response.

He closes his eyes again, and a lullaby plays, the sound it generated was making us drowsy, and the lights began to flicker on and off, it was as if another force was acting on its own, or it was him, we didn't know, he didn't seem hostile, so I decided to take him to our agency, to treat him, and find out where he and this town came from.

As we took him away, we noticed that all the lights that were on had turned off when we took him out of the town, Storybrooke.

I hope I didn't make a mistake in bringing him.

Several weeks passed until the boy woke up, but before that happened, they had diagnosed him about his abnormal state, and apparently he was seventeen years old, the studies had determined that he had survived an induced coma a kind of sleep, or some kind of lethargy that prevented him from waking up, he had survived without any kind of food, or any kind of liquid, this was a finding, it was really incredible that a human could do this unconsciously, however he did it consciously, he could be the next step in our evolution, and this interested the agency, because he should have died years ago, but he didn't.

I was behind the mirror in his room, he was there, lying in total calm, the feeling was overwhelming, it felt like he was… judging you.

Then I look to my right behind the monitors at my partner, Elizabeth, she had given me the boy's report days before, and from what I read, he was born in a federal prison in Phoenix, then transferred to an adoption agency in Boston, however, the names of the parents were nowhere to be found, so we assumed it was a closed adoption, and then months later, he was adopted by the mayor of the town where we found him, the woman's name was…

"Michael, it's time for you to interview him. The higher-ups are impatient," Aurora said to me. "They want to know everything about the boy."

"Sure. I was just reviewing the report."

"Really? Because it looks like you just read it… but that's okay."

"Okay. You caught me. Congratulations… I just wanted to let him rest a little longer. He looks tired. Wait. Is he okay?" I asked confused. This never happened. "And why do the higher-ups want information about the boy so quickly?"

"I don't know yet. But some factions say they want him. The only thing they told me is that that town didn't exist until forty-six years ago just like that woman who adopted him. She didn't exist either. She wasn't found in any records. So, the information in the report could be incorrect or all of it could be wrong. They're worried because we really don't know anything about the boy."

Aurora was right. We don't know anything about the boy.

"I understand. Yes. You're right. Then… wish me luck."

"Good luck."

I enter the room and see him. He doesn't seem scared or intimidated or confused… how interesting.

"Hello again. I'm Agent Michael. We've met before. I have some questions I'd like you to answer if you don't mind. My superiors want to know where you come from. I'm not sure yet but our studies only allowed us to examine your body but not your brain, so we believe your physical structure didn't allow us to do so we assumed you were in some kind of lethargic state."

He seemed to listen his head looked to the left towards the floor, but he listened carefully, so I continued explaining his situation.

"»So, we believe we can help each other out our team found metal residues inside your body attached to your bones and organs and upon investigating this we believe you can't formulate words or move easily but don't worry we can help you all we ask for are answers."

"I understand."

His voice, that was his voice, he didn't seem to have any problem, his voice didn't sound worn out or with any kind of problem, it was incredible that his vocal cords were not affected by the metal.

"Okay, well… thank you," I replied, thanking him. "So, what's your name?"

I ask him, but he doesn't answer, silence fills the room, well it's not a problem not knowing his name yet, but I was hoping to know it, to address him that way, and give him that confidence.

"»I understand, too soon. Where are you from?" I ask.

"Town."

He answers instantly, that's interesting, his answer was quick but not useful, I guess he's talking about the place where we found him, I think I need to be more specific.

"Town? Could you be more specific?"

Then I try not to make it sound like a question so that at least he specifies, but still, I don't get any answer, I give him a moment to think and then ask again but in a different way.

"»How are you here? I mean the planet, literally the town where we found you materialized out of nowhere," I don't get any answer from him, I wait a moment and ask again. "Why are you here?"

"Woman… Women."

He answers in an exhausted way.

"Okay. It's something. Women?"

"Yes."

"You're here for these women. What are their names?"

Nothing. A resounding silence. I don't get any answer, but his micro expressions give him away. I can see that it bothers him. Disgust maybe? Well then. I'll keep asking related questions.

"»I understand… so are you looking for these women?"

"Yes."

"Why do you do it?"

"Town."

"Town? What do you mean by that? You want to be with them in the town or is it some kind of… revenge?"

"Maybe."

"Well when we found you there was no one in the town it was completely empty except for the animals but it's very likely that these women you mention are in another universe or that's what we believe. We theorize that the large amount of energy encompassed the entire city teleporting its inhabitants to their place of origin but don't worry we're still investigating how to find that universe."

I finish explaining what we've been doing all was true we still don't know if they could be in our galaxy or our universe.

But on his face, there were no signs of confusion.

"I know."

How? He knows maybe he's lying "How can you know that?" I ask confused.

"If one acts like prey, they will believe they are predators… I wait their fate is inevitable they return them to me."

Does he want revenge on these women? But he doesn't speak as if he holds a grudge so what is it who are these women? Ah… again the questions invade me I have to ask more questions that can answer those questions.

"Do you have a plan?" I ask but there is no answer, so I continue saying the only thing we know for sure. "Okay in the town where we found you the animals behaved differently, I asked you what your name was and instantly the speakers in the place activated and played a kind of lullaby did you have anything to do with it?"

"No."

"I understand okay by any chance do you think that song woke you up or alerted you metaphorically or maybe even physically to the place where you were?"

"Yes."

"So, what do you think that place was?"

"The end."

"The end of what exactly?"

"Everything… This."

"Okay during the last few weeks we've tried to replicate that song or try to track any kind of similar signal to be able to create a replica and get you out of that lethargy and so we were able to find a similar song in a car the car was registered by Emma Swan."

As soon as I pronounce that name, he goes into an anxiety attack but seems to control it spectacularly.

"»Hmm, does that name mean anything to you?" I ask cautiously. Apparently, she had been considered missing by the Boston police, Emma Swan.

I said the woman's name again, so maybe there would be some other reaction, some kind of sign that would tell us who she is.

"I… she… I hadn't heard that name… in a long time."

"How do you know her?"

"Irrelevant."

He answers quickly, without hesitation this time.

"Okay, when was the last time you saw her?"

"Irrelevant…"

Again, he answers quickly, but his voice sounded different than before.

"So, what was your relationship with her?"

"She… she was…" he starts to cough, and seconds later he answers instantly. "Irrelevant."

I guess I won't be able to get more information out of him, well I think it's time to end this interview.

"Okay, we're done here, we need time to process this information, however, I'll get back to you soon with more questions, there are many things we need to know, rest."

I get up from the chair and leave the room being greeted by Alicia, one of the nurses who takes care of him.

"Poor boy, he seems to suffer. What kind of person would leave a child alone?"

"I don't know," I answer honestly. "But remember that all entities are like that, they all have suffered."

"I know, but he's just a boy. He's not the typical being who thinks he's a god. Listen I was able to capture some of his brain frequencies while you were talking to him and when you mentioned the name of that woman his brain seemed to hurt itself."

"Do you think that woman is important to him?"

"He mentioned that he's looking for 'women', he spoke in plural. Maybe she's one of those women."

"Maybe. Well let's stop speculating and focus on the information he gave us and what we've found. It's very likely that with his help we'll find where the inhabitants of the town came from," I said as we walked through the central laboratory. "And by the way don't get attached to the boy."

"I don't Michael. I just feel sorry for him… I… you know."

"I know. I know."

Case Report

Subject Name: Uncertain.

Codename: Boy.

Age of Existence: 17 years.

Sex: Male.

Classification: Unclassified.

Our team had found a town with large amounts of energy and radiation, but this was not a major threat to humans, however, the town from where it came, we found a boy, we assumed he had died from the large exposure to radiation from being there for so long, but no, we were wrong, he was alive.

We brought him to our facilities to examine him more closely, to see how he behaved, or how he reacted, and when we tried to examine him and ask the first questions, he went into a coma; at first, we thought he had fainted, but no, he had entered a kind of lethargy induced by himself.

But that didn't stop us, we examined him, and his behavior was unusual, to what we were used to, when trying to inject him, the syringes burst from the pressure of the liquid or air, we didn't know exactly what caused it, maybe it was him or something else.

Then we examined his body, we were impressed, we had found a discovery, his body had lived four years without ingesting any kind of liquid or food.

We had no words to describe it, all we could do was ask questions.

How was it possible that he lived so long? What kept him alive? Is he really alive?

Or was that what we believed? We assumed that the animals that guarded him were used as food without him being conscious and thus several hypotheses arose. But we couldn't find any relationship. We needed more answers. We needed him to wake up.

And finally, he woke up. When he did some electricity generators failed regularly. That was almost impossible because those generators were underground at sea level. However, we still couldn't classify him.

Our interview was short. His answers were simple and confusing. He was looking for women. He didn't tell us exactly why or how many there were or even the names of these women, but he did react to a specific name.

Emma Swan.

28-year-old woman resident of Boston her status is missing since 2011 she had no family or spouse. We still don't know who she is, but we hope she will reveal more information in the next interview.

We are still investigating every corner of the town, but we believe that if we are more inquisitive, he will give us more information.

End of communication.

Four weeks later, we were able to find much more information within the town, "Storybrooke". Apparently, its universe intertwined with ours, based on the stories found here. Fairy tales, to be specific, something ridiculous really, but from what we know the boy is not from that fantastic universe, but from ours. That's what his atoms were telling us. We theorized that maybe he was illegally adopted or kidnapped by that woman, the mayor of the town.

Regina Mills.

But incredibly the hair residues we found in Emma Swan's car, we put them into the database and her DNA established a blood link with the boy. We believe she was the one who gave him up for adoption, but between those years something happened.

Maybe there was a dispute over the boy, or maybe not, we still don't know for sure. And as we delved deeper into the town and examined each place, we could see many inconsistencies with the dates seen on objects. But when registering the houses, three of them found dead cells of the boy.

But one of them stood out, the house of the woman, Regina Mills. We believe that was his room and she kept him inside that glass coffin. The amount of cells there was abysmal. We assumed that she kept him here for a long time. But what was strange after that was that the temperature dropped considerably when entering that room. Something didn't want us here.

The stench of the room was unbearable. It expelled us from here.

This is overwhelming. The higher-ups are pressuring me to know more about all this. They told me that the Superior Order wants the boy in our ranks. Apparently, they consider him suitable which is never asked for. They think that being from our universe he will accept without hesitation.

I sincerely hope so.

And while we were investigating other routes our team gathered more information and created hypotheses about what happened by intertwining names but Alicia had become attached to the boy and even though I told her not to she did it anyway this was unacceptable she knows we are not allowed to form bonds with subjects and yet I couldn't tell our superiors.

She had lost her fourteen-year-old son in a conflict between two countries something that for us was irrelevant I thought that if I told the higher-ups about this they would get rid of her instantly but I can't let that happen she doesn't deserve that… maybe this will help us so I'll let it pass maybe the boy will help us more if she forms bonds with him and just maybe it will help her overcome her son's death.

While I wait for Alicia to finish helping him eat, I question what motivations move the boy. We still don't know how it was possible for him to withstand so long without any food or liquid. I hope the latest reports on his exams tell us more about his condition.

I see Alicia finish feeding him and say goodbye to him in a way that anyone could categorize as gentle. I'm honestly worried that someone will see her act that way when she's with him, so I always turn off the cameras, but the sound of the speakers I direct to my own office, so at least something about this situation would help me.

But all I hear is her talking, and from him I only hear his breathing.

She leaves the room, and our eyes meet. She really appreciated the minutes I gave her with the boy. All I can say is that this shouldn't be like this.

"Thank you…"

"Why are you thanking me?"

"You know why."

"Sure, how is he?"

"His condition is good; he's been sleeping normally."

"Okay, has he said anything to you?"

"No, still nothing."

"Alright…"

Our conversation ends, and I enter the room and start talking before sitting down.

"Hello again. I'll start recording our conversation. So, interview 02, Agent Michael," I pause and continue. "It's been a while since our last conversation, and since then we've found a lot of information about you and the town where we found you, Storybrooke, Maine."

He still hasn't said his name so it's hard for me to address him, so I proceed to explain his situation.

"»So since last time new information has come up about you and I would like you to validate it if it's correct but before that our intelligence says… ah there's no way to say this but apparently that town and its inhabitants came from fairy tales however you didn't come from that fantastic universe but from ours that's what your atoms tell us we theorize that maybe you were illegally adopted or kidnapped by that woman the mayor of the town."

"Irrelevant."

He answers quickly. His voice sounded somewhat disgusted. Maybe he still doesn't believe it… great now he thinks I'm crazy.

"Why is it irrelevant?"

"They're not here, they're not lost. Whether they are or not for them to be lost would imply that they can be found but no they can't."

"I don't understand what you're trying to say. Can you be more specific?"

"To take something that is not yours does not make it yours does not imply that it is good it is not acceptable it was never enough it changes and that is no longer what it was before."

It was as if two types of voices were speaking or more…

I still didn't understand but I can't get stuck on one answer, so I decide to point out to decipher later what he meant.

So, I proceed with the following.

"Okay well so far we've only discovered that some people who lived in the town we believe they are biologically connected we found DNA from five people two women and three men and you shared blood ties with them so there's no way to say this but the evidence tells us that you were taken to that town when you were a newborn so it's possible that you were left in that town I'm sorry to say this but it's likely that happened."

"I remember everything… I know who I am who I was."

"I'm sorry you were a victim. I'm sorry," I pause and proceed with what was written. "What do you remember about your life before this?"

"Irrelevant."

"Irrelevant? We're talking about your life when you were a little boy tell me how your childhood is irrelevant?" I ask annoyed by his answer.

"Loneliness."

Loneliness.

I couldn't ask another question, his answer froze my blood, his voice didn't sound inquisitive, or any kind of annoyance, he just said it as if it was nothing, as if it was something… irrelevant.

—A-Ah, um… I'm sorry, really, but I need to know a little more, what was your first memory before all this?

—Voice. Woman.

—A woman's voice. Okay, what's the last thing you remember?

—Kiss.

—A kiss, what do you mean?, did someone give you a kiss?

—Woman.

—Okay…, so by any chance, does the year 2011 mean anything to you? —There was no immediate response this time. So, I continue with the next question—. Does the name Emma Swan mean anything to you?

—Irrelevant.

He quickly answers this time.

We know she is his biological mother, but we need confirmation from him.

—In our previous conversation, you reacted to that name.

—Irrelevant.

—You said she was someone to you… she was your mother.

There is no response, not even a sound.

—Okay… I didn't want to do this, but well… In 2011, Storybrooke hospital was informed about an accident, an accident that led a child into a coma and then death, but not entirely, something kept him here, that's what the doctor said.

He began to squirm, his eyes that had always been off, a faint white point had lit up inside his pupil, and at the same time the walls around us began to tremble, it really made my skin crawl.

But still, I didn't stop.

"»This child was Regina Mills' son."

The spotlights burst the moment I said the woman's name, but instead of turning off they blinded me with their intensity.

"Stop this conversation."

I'm sorry, really.

"Her son was poisoned by a food she herself prepared to give to Emma Swan, the boy's biological mother. The boy ingested the food first because he told her it was poisoned due to a fantasy, he believed was real. But until then everyone in town treated him like a madman including his two mothers."

"S-S-STOP!"

He screams tearing his vocal cords apart.

"His mother Regina Mills also known as the "Evil Queen" had decided to freeze him keeping his body in a state where it could not decompose in a desperate attempt to keep her son with her."

The lullaby began to sound on all speakers deafening me but still I didn't stop.

»They said that before all this happened, she secluded him depriving him of any other interaction with another person. It was said that she would do anything to keep her son with her, but it was rumored that if he continued with that fantasy which was real, she would confine him in an asylum when he came of age.

Here is the English translation of your text:

The sound increased, making his ears bleed as well as mine.

—So, his mother Emma Swan, also known as the "Savior" did not believe him about the poisoned food, which contained "magic" from his world or to be more precise a poisoned apple, he ate it to prove that everything he had told her was real, but seconds later he had fainted, to fall into an eternal sleep from which he would never wake up.

"STOP!"

"And from that moment he was admitted to the hospital, to be later taken to his room, but this showed a large amount of brain activity, suggesting that the child was somehow still alive, but he tormented himself through his subconscious, and while his mind collapsed on itself, his two mothers could only do nothing more than sit next to him and cry."

"I SAID STOP!"

All the lights that illuminated us had gone out just like the speakers, I couldn't see or hear anything, everything was silence.

"Who are you?, A-Ah… you told me you remember everything, if you told us your name, it could help us more, I'm sorry if this brings back bad memories, but I need to confirm if your name is…"

"I AM A DEAD MAN, THAT'S WHAT I AM AND THAT'S WHAT I WILL ALWAYS BE. I AM A TORMENT WAITING TO BE UNLEASHED ON THOSE WHO ARE BROKEN ENOUGH TO DESTROY THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT. THIS IS NOT A PLACE OF LOVE OR HOPE BUT OF SENSELESS BRUTALITY WAITING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DESERVED IT SINCE THEY WERE BORN."

I couldn't say anything, his words had frozen me.
