"I activate the Quick Play Spell, Burial From A Different Dimension! This card allows me to return 3 banished monsters to the graveyard!" Yugo explained, causing Yuya's eyes to widen.

'He must be trying to add Clear Wing back to his graveyard so he can special summon it from there with one of the cards in his hand! I can't take the chance! I have to stop him!' Yuya thought to himself. "I won't let you return your ace monster to the field! Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon's effect activates! By shuffling Life Magician back into my deck, the activation of your Spell Card is negated and it's destroyed!"

"...So you figured it out...but you haven't stopped me just yet! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke!" Yugo shouted as the small duke appeared.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, High-Speed Launch! This lets me bring back High-Speedroid Machago Ita with it's effects negated!" Yugo yelled as the pink and green machine in the shape of a paddle rocketed back onto the field.

"Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect! Since you activated a card effect, you take 500 damage! Restraining Pressure!"

YUGO: 2700-2200 LP

"Grr...Now, I tune the level 3 Den-Den Daiko Duke to the level 5 Machago Ita! Spread those wings shining with sacred light! Strike down your enemies with that radiance! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the blue dragon with shinning crystal armor appeared on the field with a powerful roar.

"Yugo's evolved ace monster is here!" Melissa yelled.

"Alright, he brought out Crystal Wing!" Rin cheered.

"You may have brought out the evolution of Clear Wing, but Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon prevents the opponent's monsters from activating their effects during the Battle Phase. Meaning, Crystal Wing's effects won't trigger when it attacks. And if you try to attack Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon, I can use Odd Eyes Absolute Dragon's effect to negate the attack. You can't defeat me, Yugo!" Yuya shouted in triumph.

"...Who said I was planning on attacking?" Yugo asked with a smirk on his face.

"What do you mean?!" Yuya questioned.

"The fun has just begun, Yuya!" Yugo shouted as he grabbed a card in his hand while taunting his opponent with his catchphrase. "I activate the Spell Card, Synchro Cracker!"

Due to Yugo activating another card effect, the Ritual monster's eyes shined as he was damaged once again.

YUGO: 2200-1700 LP

"Synchro Cracker...that's...!" Yuya trailed off as he remembered the card from Yugo's duel with Olga during the Miami Championship.

"By returning Crystal Wing to my Extra Deck, all monsters on the field with less ATK than Crystal Wing's are destroyed! Since all of your monsters have less then 3000 ATK..." Yugo began, causing Yuya's eyes to widen.

"...All of my dragons will be destroyed...!" Yuya uttered in shock.

"That's right! Do it, Crystal Wing!" Yugo commanded as his dragon let out a powerful roar. The dragon exploded in a wave of green energy that enveloped Yuya's field, obliterating all of his monsters.

"GAAH!" Yuya shouted as he was caught up in the wave of energy, almost causing him to spin out. Seeing his chance, Yugo sped forward and drove in front of Yuya, grabbing an Action Card.

"Not only did Yugo destroy all of his opponent's monsters, he managed to gain the lead and grab an Action Card! What an unbelievable come back!" Melissa commentated.

"Way to go, Yugo!" Rin cheered.

"So he did have a plan after all..." Shun said with a small smile.

"I told you I would defeat them all!" Yugo shouted as he looked back at his opponent with a determined smirk.

"Grr...Yugo's strong...too strong..." Yuya uttered in nervousness as he clutched his fist.

"It's not over! Quick Play Spell, Wings of Reincarnation activate! When a dragon-type monster leaves the field, I can special summon a dragon-type monster with less ATK that's in the graveyard or removed from play! Revive, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo roared as his ace monster returned to the field.

"...Odd Eyes Absolute Dragon's effect activates! Since it was destroyed, I can special summon Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon from the graveyard!"

"I won't stop! I said I would defeat them all and I meant it! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ritual of the Storm!" Yugo shouted as an altar appeared which was two green statues that looked similar to Clear Wing's head. The altar also had a large cyclone of green wind circling it.

"Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect! Restraining Force!"

"...By releasing WIND monsters on my field whose total levels are 7 or higher, I can Ritual Summon this monster! I release the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as dragon flew into the cyclone of wind. The dragon turned into seven stars of light that spun around in the cyclone. "Dragon born from the storm! Gain the power of the raging winds and fly through the field like a hurricane! Ritual Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Storm Dragon!"

From the storm, the green armored dragon with turquoise colored armor plates appeared. The dragon had sharp blue prismatic wings and flew beside Yugo, leaving a trail of green wind in the air.

Clear Wing Storm Dragon (2800/2500) LVL:7

"The powerful dragon Yugo used to defeat Team Taiyo is here!" Melissa cheered.

"It's a battle of their ritual dragons..." Yuto trailed off.

"Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Ritual Summoned using a Synchro monster, I can negate the effects of all monsters on my opponent's field!"

"But Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect still continues upon the activation of your dragon's effect! Restraining Force!" Yuya shouted one last time as Yugo was hit by another wave of increased gravity.

YUGO: 700-200 LP

The dragon's turquoise eyes glowed as it let out a powerful roar. The dragon's wings glowed at it flew towards the opposing dragon and began circling it. This caused it to be consumed by a tornado of shinning wind-like energy.

"He may have finally stopped Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon's effect, but it costed him almost all of his life points..." Masumi trailed off.

"Yuya just has to survive the turn and he'll surely win!" Sawatari cheered.

"Only 200 life points left...just a little more...and I can win..." Yuya said under his breath as the two ritual dragons growled at each other.

"Let's go! Battle! Clear Wing Storm Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his dragon launched up towards the sky. "At this moment, Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this monster attacks a special summoned monster, it gains ATK equal to the opposing monster's level times 300! Since your dragon is level 7, it gains 2100 ATK!" Yugo shouted as his dragon's wings shined brightly.

Clear Wing Storm (2800/2500)-(4900/2500)

"That'll be 2100 damage...!" Gongenzaka realized, but Sawatari began to interject.

"It's fine! Yuya still has enough life points-"

"Time to show off the card I picked up earlier! Action Spell, Nanana! My monster gains 700 ATK!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared.

Clear Wing Storm (4900/2500)-(5600/2500)

"T-That makes the damage 2800! Yuya is a goner!" Sawatari screeched.

"Grr..." Yuya grunted as he looked on in nervousness.

"Go, STORMING CYCLONE STRIKE!" Yugo roared as his dragon flew downwards in a cyclone of turquoise energy.

"Don't you dare lose, Yuya!" Sora yelled.

"I...will survive! Trap Activate! Wall of Disruption! Your monster loses 800 ATK for each monster you control!" Yuya shouted in desperation.

Clear Wing Storm (5600/2500)-(4800/2500)

The two ritual dragons clashed for a brief moment, but the Odd Eyes monster was quickly overpowered, causing a massive explosion.

"GRAAAH!" Yuya cried as his D-Wheel was thrown began to spin out.

YUYA: 2200-200 LP

"I...absolutely...won't give up!" Yuya growled in determination as he regained control of his D-Wheel before it could slam against the side of the track.

"Yugo almost had him..." Rin grunted.

"Both Yugo and Yuya lost a lot of life points this turn...it seems like this duel might come to an end soon..." Masumi trailed off.

"I don't know...Yugo and Yuya are both practically experts at doing the unthinkable with barely any life points..." Yuzu explained.

"That's right. Although a lot has happen so far, they still have plenty of fight left in them. They're both fighting for what they believe in and they'll do whatever it takes to win." Yuto said, knowing full well what his counterparts were capable of.

"Tch...you may have dismantled my field...but it doesn't matter! My dueling will win! Action Spell, Damage Draw! Since I took 2000 damage, I draw two cards!" Yuya shouted as he drew.

"I set two cards facedown, turn end!" Yugo concluded.

"...I won't back down. I will show them a true entertainment duel." Yuya said to himself before smiling. "Ladies and Gentleman! It appears that my opponent has expertly fought back against my previous moves and has put me in a very poor situation! However, he won't have the advantage for long! I'll turn this duel around right now! My turn, draw! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Greed! I draw two cards!"

As Yuya drew, he gazed at the cards with a happy look on his face.

"Alright! With the Scale 8 Odd Eyes Mirage Dragon, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the smaller green dragon with red and green eyes appeared in the column in the sky.

Trump Witch 4 - 8 Odd Eyes Mirage

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 5 through 7! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my Extra Deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! And from my hand, the dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!" Yuya yelled as two beams shot out of the portal in the sky, revealing his signature dragon and the red dragon with sharp blades protruding from it's shiny white and yellow armor.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Double Reborn Level 4! Now, both of us must revive a level 4 monster from our graveyards in defense mode! Revive, Entermate Amenboat!" Yuya shouted as the bug returned.

"Revive, High-Speedroid Puzzle!" Yugo shouted as the blue and green armored ninja with a orange scarf reappeared.

"Double Reborn Level 4 and Odd Eyes Saber Dragon...it's the same combo he used when battling Frost..." Crow realized.

"Battle! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon, attack High-Speedroid Puzzle! Spiral Light Burst!" Yuya yelled as his monster fired a yellow and red spiraling blast that obliterated the ninja.

"Ghh..." Yugo grunted from the force of the attack.

"Odd Eyes Saber Dragon's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster through battle, another monster on your field is destroyed! Say goodbye to Clear Wing Storm Dragon! Shinning Force!" Yuya shouted as his dragon fired a white and yellow blast through the ritual dragon, causing a powerful explosion.

"Another clever combo by Yuya Sakaki!" Melissa shouted.

"Good one, Yuya!" Sora cheered.

"Tch...Clear Wing Storm Dragon's effect activates! When this card is destroyed, I can special summon Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from the graveyard!" Yugo shouted as his ace emerged from the smoke.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7

As the dragon returned, the two ace monsters of the counterparts growled at each other.

"Let's continue! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya commanded with a grin as his dragon fired a powerful red blast at the white dragon.

"Fight back, Clear Wing! Whirlwind Hell Dive Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was surrounded by green energy before flying towards the incoming attack.

Clear Wing clashed with Odd Eyes' attack, causing a powerful explosion of red and green energy that destroyed both dragons. The crowd looked in awe at the mesmerizing light show.

"Alright..." Yuya smiled as he noticed the crowd enjoying his performance.

"Yuya's style is getting through to them..." Yugo trailed off as he too looked on at the crowd.

"My turn isn't over yet, Yugo." Yuya called out, causing his opponent to look back at him with a worried look on his face.

"What do you mean-" Yugo stopped talking as he noticed Yuya pointing up at one of the monsters in his Pendulum Zone.

"Trump Witch's Pendulum Effect activates! Once per turn, I can perform a Fusion Summon! I fuse Odd Eyes Saber Dragon and Entermate Amenboat!"

As Yuya snapped his fingers, the dragon and the bug appeared in the fusion vortex.

"Dazzling light of salvation! Become one with the mosquito of the sea and bring forth the dragonic beast that slashes through all! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Entermate Odd Eyes Metal Claw!" Yuya shouted as the wolf and dragon hybrid appeared. The monster had blue fur, red and silver armor, and had sharp razor claws.

"U-Unbelievable! Yuya Sakaki has managed to Fusion Summon during the Battle Phase! With no monsters on his field, is it really over for Yugo?!" Melissa questioned as the crowd sat on the edge of their seats.

"No way..." Yugo uttered in shock.

"This is the finale! Odd Eyes Metal Claw, direct attack! At this moment, Metal Claw's effect activates! When this card declares an attack, all monsters on my field gain 300 ATK!" Yuya yelled as his monster roared while the blue orbs on it's body shined bright.

Metal Claw (3000/2000)-(3300/2000)

"Go, Spiral Strike Slash!" Yuya commanded as the monster lunged forward with it's razor sharp claws that ignited in glowing red energy.

"Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I don't take any damage and I draw a card!" Yugo countered as a barrier blocked the slash while he drew a card.

"So close..." Yuya sighed before grabbing a card in his hand. "I set a card facedown, turn end!"

Metal Claw (3300/2000)-(3000/2000)

"I'm not giving up just yet! My hopes and dreams will become reality! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke's effect! Since I have less then 1000 life points, I can banish this card to special summon the tuner monster, Speedroid Red Eyed Dice!"

Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the blue dragon with shinning crystal armor appeared on the field with a powerful roar.

"Clear Wing's evolution has arrived once again!" Melissa commented.

"And with no restrictions this time, Yugo can use it to win!" Rin cheered.

"Let's do this, Crystal Wing! Battle! Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Entermate Odd Eyes Metal Claw!" Yugo commanded as his dragon flew through the air. "At this moment, Crystal Wing's effect activates! When this card battles a level 5 or higher monster, it gains ATK equal to the opposing monster's ATK!"

"Survive it, Yuya!" Serena yelled.

"This is for the future! GO! KRYSTALLOS GALE EDGE!" Yugo shouted as his dragon soared through the air while blue light reflected from it's crystal armor.

"You're only fighting for your own future! Trap Activate! Guardraw! My monster is switched to defense mode and I draw a card!" Yuya countered as his monster took a defensive stance.

Metal Claw (3000/2000)-(3000/2000)

The dragon charged through the center of the monster, causing it to burst into particles.

"That was close..." Sawatari sighed.

"Of course you survived...I set a card facedown, turn end." Yugo concluded as the set card materialized next to his other facedown.

Crystal Wing (6000/2500)-(3000/2500)

"You're dragons are really strong! But unfortunately for you, so are mine! My turn! I activate the Spell Card, Odd Eyes Draw! Now, I must send the top card of my deck to the graveyard. If it's an Odd Eyes monster, I can draw two cards if it's level 6 or lower and three cards if it's level 7 or higher." Yuya explained as the top card of his deck gained a red glow. "Let's see I'm as lucky as you!"

Yuya flipped over the top card of his deck and grinned as he looked at it.

"Yes! The card was Odd Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon, a level 7 monster! Meaning, I can draw three cards!" Yuya yelled as he drew up a new hand. "Alright, with the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my Extra Deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! And from my hand, the mysterious and eerie dragon with beautiful dichromatic eyes, Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon!"

The blue and grey dragon appeared alongside Yuya's signature dragon.

"Next, by releasing a level 5 or higher monster on my field, I can Advance Summon this monster from my hand! I release Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Yuya's dragon was surrounded by a circle of flames. The flames then began to rise covering up the dragon and the form of a larger dragon could be seen from within.

"Dragon with burning dichromatic eyes, evolve past your limits and incinerate the darkness with your eternal flame! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a larger winged dichromatic dragon with sharp red armor along it's body.

Odd Eyes Advance Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

The two dragons let out powerful roars as Yugo glared at the smirk on Yuya's face.

'Why is he bringing out that dragon now...?' Yugo wondered nervously, knowing his friend must have something planned.

"Let's go! Odd Eyes Advance Dragon's effect! When Advance Summoned, I can destroy a monster on your field and inflict damage to the opponent equal to it's ATK! Burning Assault!" Yuya roared as his dragon ignited into flames before flying forward.

"Crystal Wing's effect activates! Once per turn, a monster effect is negated and that monster is destroyed! Then, Crystal Wing gains that monster's ATK!" Yugo countered as his monster released a powerful blast of light from it's armor that obliterated the burning dragon.

Crystal Wing (3000/2500)-(6000/2500)

"I'm confused...what was Yuya's plan there...?" Sawatari pondered.

"Just watch." Serena said with a smirk.

"How'd you like that, Yuya?!" Yugo questioned.

"Heh...When Odd Eyes is destroyed, I can release an Odd Eyes monster on my field to Special Summon this monster!" Yuya shouted Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon dissolved. "Sparkling dichroic eyes! Defy evil and protect your kin with your blades! Come forth! Level 8! Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon!"

A large red dragon with dichroic eyes appeared on the field that wore bladed armor and wings.

Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

"Yuya Sakaki never ceases to amaze everyone with his spectacular evolutions of his ace monster!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered.

"No way...you used Odd Eyes Advance Dragon to not only get me to use Crystal Wing's effect...but to get out your new dragon..." Yugo grunted as his opponent grinned.

"Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect activates! By sending Entermate Odd Eyes Guardna from my deck to the graveyard, the effects of Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon are negated!" Yuya shouted as his dragon let out a powerful growl while it's eyes shined bright.

"With it's effects negated, Crystal Wing loses 3000 ATK!" Melissa commented.

Crystal Wing (6000/2500)-(3000/2500)

"Crystal Wing also can't use it's effect to gain ATK when it battles a level 5 or higher monster!" Rin realized.

"Battle! Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon, attack Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya commanded his dragon as it extended it's bladed wings and flew forward.

"You're going for mutual destruction?" Yugo questioned.

"Not quite. At this moment, Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon's effect activates! By returning an Odd Eyes monster to my hand, my dragon isn't destroyed by this battle and I don't take any damage! I return Odd Eyes Mirage Dragon to my hand to protect my dragon from destruction!" Yuya explained with a smirk.

"That means only Crystal Wing will be destroyed!" Sora cheerfully shouted.

"Go, Spiral Lance Charge!" Yuya commanded as his monster was surrounded by swirling yellow energy. The dragon flew through the air and stabbed through the center of the opposing dragon with the blade on it's head, causing a powerful explosion that consumed Yugo's field.

"Damn it..." Yugo grunted as he drove through the smoke.

"Alright! How'd you like that, everyone?!" Yuya asked as he raised his arms out. The crowd roared in response, causing the boy's grin to widen.

"You have become a lot more strategic compared to how you were back then..." Yugo said as he looked back at the red and green haired boy.

"I guess so...I've picked up a lot of neat tricks while in this dimension...dueling in all kind of crazy situations has pushed me far beyond my limits." Yuya explained with a smile as he scratched the back of his helmet.

"Indeed it has." Reiji said with a short smirk as he watched the duel.

"However..." Yugo trailed off as a smirk formed on his face. "...you aren't the only one who had a plan!"

"What do you-"

"Trap Activate! Extra Shave Reborn! Since the level 8 Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon was destroyed and sent to the graveyard, I can special the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo yelled as his ace returned.

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7

"Here we go! Trap Activate! Assault Mode Activate! This trap cards lets me release Clear Wing in order to summon a new monster from my deck!" Yugo shouted before Clear Wing was engulfed in a bright turquoise light as it's body began to change. "Sharpen your bright and wonderous wings and evolve beyond your limits through the shinning light! Come forth! Level 9! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode!"

As the light dispersed, Clear Wing now had blue and golden armor along with sharper and brighter green wings.

"Amazing! Yugo responds to Yuya Sakaki's move by summoning another one of his dragons!" Melissa shouted in excitement.

"So you also had something prepared..." Yuya said with a somewhat nervous smile. "I end my turn."

"Let's go! My turn! Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Assault Mode, attack Odd Eyes Lancer Dragon! At this moment, Clear Wings' effect activates! Once per turn, when this card attacks an opponent's monster that was special summoned, it has it's effects negated and is destroyed! Go, Dichroic Blitz!" Yugo shouted as his dragon flew through the air while surrounded by a colorful aura.

"Grr..." Yuya grunted as his opponent's dragon smashed through his newest monster.

"My dragon can attack in a row due to it's effect! Go, Clear Wing! Direct Attack! Whirlwind Assault Slasher!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was covered in a colorful light as it flew directly at Yuya.

"With no set cards or monsters left, is this really the end for Yuya Sakaki?!" Melissa questioned as the crowd sat on the edge of their seats.

"This duel isn't over yet, Yugo! Entermate Odd Eyes Guardna's effect in my graveyard activates! During either player's turn, I can banish this card to special summon an Entermate monster from my graveyard! Rise, Entermate Amenboat!" Yuya shouted as the bug returned.

"Go, attack Entermate Amenboat and end this duel!" Yugo commanded as his dragon as it surged with colorful energy while flying at the mosquito.

"Bring it! I'll counter anything you throw at me! Nothing will stop me from reaching my destiny as king! I have to win! I have to!"

To many people in the stands Yugo seemed determined, but Yuya could see past the boy's determination and could see what he was really feeling...desperation.

"Why?! Why do you have to become king?!" Yuya questioned, trying to push his friend to conveying his true emotions.

"...The things I've endured as a Common...the constant struggles I've had to deal with...once this war is over...that'll become my life again if I don't win this tournament. You, Yuto, Yuzu, Kurosaki, and everyone else...you all have lives to get back to after the war is won. As for me...you've seen what it's like in this city. My life will return to a constant struggle when this is all over. Rin and I decided to compete in this tournament to change our lives...but then she was kidnapped...and that responsibility fell to me. That's why I have to win! That's why I have to become king! I can't live like that anymore...no one deserves to live such a miserable life!"

Yugo's dialogue caused lots of whispers and talking between the high class members of the Synchro Dimension, causing Rin to look at the crowd in shock.

"The Tops...it sounds like they actually care about what Yugo is saying...!" Rin realized.

"So this was Yuya's plan..." Yuzu trailed off.

"Plan? What plan?" Shun asked.

"He's been getting Yugo to open up to his feelings throughout this duel...to show the Tops what they've put Yugo and the other Commons through...he's trying to get them to see that things need to change..." Yuzu explained.

"Not only that, he's trying to get Yugo to come to a realization." Yuto added.

"What kind of realization?" Ruri asked.

"The true reason he wants to become king." Rin answered with a hopeful smile.

"That's why...that's why..." Yugo uttered as he looked up with a fire in his eyes. "...I will become king...and make sure no one has to live such a life! That's the true reason...I will become king!"

"Heh...I guess we're both fighting to change the ways of the people of this dimension. No matter what happens...we'll make our dreams a reality. Right?" Yuya grinned.

"You're damn right! Now, bring it on, Yuya! Let's change the future with this duel!" Yugo shouted as he slowed down his D-Wheel so that he was closer to Yuya.

The two boys grinned at each other before fist bumping, causing the residents of the Synchro Dimension to abrupt in cheers.

"Yuya! Yuya! Yuya!"

"Yugo! Yugo! Yugo!"

"Alright! Here I go, Yugo! With our power, we'll definitely change the future! MY TURN!" Yuya shouted as he powerfully drew. "From my hand, I summon Odd Eyes Mirage Dragon!"

The magician pointed it's prismatic blade at the dragon and fired a beautiful green beam of energy. The energy was absorbed into the dragon, giving it a green aura.

"You're summoning...!" Yugo realized.

"That's right! I tune my level 1 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon to my level 7 Odd Eyes Meteorburst Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his ace turned into a single green ring that flew around the crimson dragon. "Dragon with dual colored eyes! Gain the shining wings of light! Soar to the summit of supremacy! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come forth! Level 8! Dragon with piercing eyes of breakthrough! Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!"

The red and green eyed hybrid dragon with white and black armor and sharp light blue crystals appeared with a powerful roar.

"...Odd Eyes Wing Dragon...the dragon that represents our connection..." Yugo uttered as he stared at the dragon with a look of awe.

Yugo grit his teeth as blue energy surged out of the hybrid dragon and covered the gold and white dragon.

"Now it's time for...DICHROIC DESTRUCTION!" Yuya shouted as he snapped his fingers.

The hybrid dragon extended out it's wings, releasing a white hurricane of energy that shredded through the opposing dragon.

"Everyone, prepare to witness a spectacular finale to this extravagant duel! BATTLE! Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Spiral Flame of Fantasy!" Yuya shouted as his ace's alternate form fired a powerful blue blast which shot through the center of the opposing dragon.

"Grr..." Yugo grunted from the force of the attack.

"There's no better way to end this duel then with the monster that represents our bond! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! Direct Attack! Storming Attack - STRIKE SLASHER!"

The dragon's crystal began glowing brightly causing the hybrid to be surrounded by bright blue energy. The dragon whirled as it flew up in the air and then dove down at even higher speeds at the defenseless duelist.

"YUGO!" Rin cried out in fear.

"I'm not giving up here, Yuya! Trap Activate! Dimension Voyage! Now, I can special summon as many of my banished Synchro monsters as possible! Come, High-Speedroid Kitedrake! High-Speedroid Chanbarider!"

"Odd Eyes Mirage Dragon, attack Chanbarider!" Yuya commanded as his dragon fired a green blast that shot through the sword wielding monster.

"Yugo managed to form a defense at the very last moment! This duel isn't over yet!" Melissa excitedly yelled.

"Now that my Battle Phase is over, I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Card Burst! By destroying Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon and Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon, I draw two cards!" Yuya shouted as he drew. "Alright, I set two cards facedown, turn end! At this moment, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect ends."

The crowd jumped out of their seats and locked their eyes on the dice as it began to slow down.

"The moment of truth is here! The result is...!" Melissa trailed off as the dice stopped moving.

"A five! That means I draw five cards! And then I must send the top five cards of my deck to the graveyard!" Yugo explained with a smirk.

"Does this guy's luck ever fail him?!" Sawatari growled in annoyance.

"Alright! From my hand, I summon the tuner monster, Speedroid Domino Butterfly!" Yugo yelled as the butterfly with domino wings appeared.

The second effect lets me special summon this card's Synchro materials from the graveyard if they are all Speedroid monsters! I choose to activate the first effect!" Yugo declared as a card popped out of his deck. "Now, I activate the Spell Card, Speedroid Rebuilding! By banishing Speedroid monsters in my graveyard, I can special summon a Synchro monster whose level is equal to the combined levels of the banished monsters! I banish the level 4 Speedroid Double Yo-Yo and level 3 Speedroid Taketonborg to special summon the level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"It's coming..." Yuto trailed off.

"What's coming?" Rin asked in confusion.

"The evolution to Synchro Summoning..." Yuzu answered her counterpart, which ended up leaving her even more confused.

"It's time, Clear Wing." Yugo said to his ace dragon as the two made eye contact with each other.

"Let's go, master."

"This is it...the embodiment of my hopes and dreams...the light that shines through the darkness...and..." Yugo began as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before opening his glowing turquoise eyes. "...the power that will change the future! CLEAR MIND!"

As he drove, Yugo and his D-Wheel were consumed by a bright red light that illuminated the night.

"I tune my level 3 Synchro Tuner, High-Speedroid Cork-10 to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo shouted as the machine-type turned into three rings that the dragon flew through at incredible speeds. "Majestic dragon flying at the speed of light! Refine your brilliant wings in the light of evolution and accelerate towards the future! ACCEL SYNCHRO!"

As Yugo and Clear Wing were consumed by the red light, the two briefly disappeared.

"Yugo! Where'd he go?!" Rin gasped.

"Materialize! Level 10! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

In a powerful flash of light, Yugo was far in front of Yuya with his evolved dragon on beside him. It had dark blue skin with white, cyan, and gold armor. The dragon had many sharp green crystals protruding from it's armor and it also had a long black and green tail that extended out of it's lower body. The dragon's wings were made of green crystals that protruded from it's back.

"It's here! A battle between two evolutions to Synchro Summoning...Synchro Pendulum vs Accel Synchro!" Melissa commented as the crowd roared in excitement.

"What the hell is up with that light show?! And how the hell did Yugo get his hands on such an awesome looking dragon?!" Rin questioned in a mixture of amazement and jealousy.

"Yuya, I'm giving this duel everything I have!" Yugo yelled as he pointed back at his friend.

"So am I! Trap Activate! Pendulum Shock! When an opponent special summons a monster, by sending a face up Pendulum monster in my Extra Deck to the graveyard, that monster's loses ATK equal to the Pendulum monster's ATK-"

"That won't work! Crystal Clear Wing's effect activates! Once per turn, I can negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card and destroy it! DICHROIC FORCE!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared, causing the card to be consumed by a green cyclone.

"Alright! Yugo's dragon is awesome!" Rin cheered.

"Yuya had to have known that his trap would be countered by Crystal Clear Wing..." Yuto trailed off as he looked on at his counterpart, who wasn't showing any signs of fear.

"As expected of your dragon...the ability to counter Spells and Traps as well as being unaffected by monster effects with it's other ability..." Yuya trailed off before smirking. "This duel really is something else! Thanks for helping me entertain the crowd, Yugo."

"I wouldn't be thanking me since I'm the one whose about to win this duel! BATTLE! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! Show them all why we're the strongest! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!"

As the dragon surrounded itself in a green whirlwind of energy, it flew incredibly high in the sky. The dragon spun through the air before descending towards the hybrid dragon. As it descended, the dragon gained more and more speed which caused it's wings to shine even brighter.

"That'll be 300 damage...!" Melissa realized as the crowd jumped out of their seats.

"Put on a show, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya commanded.

The hybrid dragon's crystal began glowing brightly causing the hybrid to be surrounded by bright blue energy. The dragon whirled through the air as it flew up at the large descending dragon.

The two dragons clashed, causing a powerful storm of blue and green wind to surround the track.

"This can't be the end!" Sawatari gasped.

"Don't give up, kid!" Crow cried.

"Yuya, we believe in you!" Serena yelled.

"Go, Yugo! Finish him off!" Rin shouted.

"End this, Yugo..." Shun uttered under his breath.

"..." Yuzu couldn't bring herself to cheer against neither of the two counterparts.

"END HIM, CRYSTAL CLEAR WING!"

With one final roar, Yugo's dragon smashed through the hybrid dragon, causing a massive explosion that consumed Yuya.

"GRAAAAH!"

"Heh...Heh...Heh..." Yuya breathed heavy as he drove out of the smoke with barely any life points left to the shock of everyone.

"What?!" Yugo shouted in shock.

"I activated the Trap Card, Odd Eyes Guard. During this turn, whenever an Odd Eyes monster battles, by sending the top card of my deck to the graveyard, any damage I would take is halved. So by sending Entermate Springoose to the graveyard, I managed to survive." Yuya explained before smiling.

"Shit..." Yugo grunted.

"So that's why he activated Pendulum Shock earlier...to force Yugo to use his dragon's effect to guarantee that he could use his second Trap Card to survive the turn..." Yuto realized.

"Even in the face of such a powerful monster, Yuya still isn't giving up." Yuzu smiled.

"And through my card's effect, at the end of the Battle Phase, I get to draw a card for every Odd Eyes monster that was destroyed. I draw one card!" Yuya shouted as he drew.

"Grr...I should be mad that you survived the turn...but honestly...I'm looking forward to seeing how you match up to my ultimate dragon! So don't disappoint me, Yuya!" Yugo shouted at his counterpart with a smirk. "I set two cards facedown, turn end!"

"Can he really beat the dragon that even Yuto couldn't defeat..." Masumi trailed off in a worried tone.

"Yuto didn't know what he was dealing with at the time, but Yuya does." Serena pointed out.

"That's right! I'm sure Yuya's has a kick ass plan to send that dragon packing!" Crow confidently shouted.

"Even against such a strong monster, my dueling will prevail! The fun has just begun! MY TURN! Alright! With the set scale, I can simultaneously summon monster with levels 5 though 7! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my Extra Deck! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon! And from my hand, Dragoncaller Magician!" Yuya shouted as the two dragons appeared along with a magician clad in brown and blue that carried a scythe.

Also, this card is unaffected by the opponent's monster effects during this turn! RADIANT MIRROR!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared. The dragon's crystals glowed brightly, causing a green whirlwind of energy to surround it.

"Amazing..." Rin uttered in awe.

"How are you going to overcome my dragon now, Yuya?" Yugo questioned with a grin.

"Just watch! I overlay my level 7 Dragoncaller Magician and Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon! Dragon with dual colored eyes! Eradicate all enemies that opose you with your black scale of wrath! XYZ SUMMON! Come forth! Rank 7! Dragon with Eyes of Rage! Supreme King Black Dragon - Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the red and green eyed hybrid dragon with pitch-black armor and two fangs on it's chin appeared.

"Yuya Sakaki is planning on fighting Yugo's Accel Synchro dragon with his Xyz Pendulum dragon!" Melissa shouted.

"That dragon..." Yugo trailed off nervously as he remembered being defeated by it back in Standard.

"BATTLE! Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya commanded his black hybrid dragon that let out a powerful roar. Purple electricity coursed through the dragon's body as it flew forward, tearing through the ground with it's fangs as it approached the white dragon.

"I don't know what you're planning, but we aren't holding back! Go, Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!" Yugo cried as his monster was surrounded in a cyclone of green energy before launching towards the black dragon.

The two dragons collided head on, causing a surge of green wind and purple electricity to fill the field.

"Woah!"

"So cool!"

"I've never seen anything like it!"

The crowd cheered for both duelists as their dragons fought for supremacy, with the black hybrid dragon quickly losing ground.

"Why isn't your dragon destroyed yet?!" Yugo questioned.

"You can't overpower my dragon. Because Dragoncaller Magician was used as material, Odd Eyes Rebellion gained an additional effect." Yuya began to explain.

"Additional effect?" Yugo tilted his head in confusion.

"Since Odd Eyes Rebellion is battling a dragon-type monster, it's new effect causes it's ATK to double during damage calculations!" Yuya explained with a grin as his dragon's aura sparked up.

"What an effect...!" Yuto gasped.

"Awesome, Yuya!" Sora cheered.

"Y-You really are something else, Yuya..." Yugo uttered with a small smile.

"Count down with me, everyone! Three!" Yuya began.

"Two!" The crowd yelled.

"One!" Serena, Crow, Sora, Masumi, Gongenzaka, and Sawatari shouted from the cockpit.

"The end! Rebellious Wrath - STRIKE DISOBEY!"

The black dragon's fangs ignited in purple energy before driving through the white dragon, causing a monstrous explosion that consumed Yugo.

"GRAAAAAHH!" Yugo cried as his D-Wheel spun out.

"YUGO!" Rin cried as the track was filled with smoke.

The first to race out of the smoke was Yuya. And not far behind him, Yugo raced out too.

"What?!" Yuya shouted as he looked back at his counterpart.

"Remember when I sent four cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard with Roll of Fate's effect?" Yugo asked his counterpart, causing his opponent's eyes to widen.

"Don't tell me...one of the cards were...Synchro Endurance..." Yuya realized.

"That's right! By banishing it, the damage I took was halved." Yugo explained.

"GRAH! That guy's luck is ridiculous!" Sawatari yelled in anger.

"At this Crystal Clear Wing's effect activates. If this card is sent to the graveyard by an opponent's card, I can add a WIND monster to my hand!"

"E-Even so, you have no monsters on your field! This is the finale! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, direct attack! Spiral Strike-"

"That won't work either! Trap Activate! Miracle Wake! I can special summon a monster that was destroyed by battle during this turn! Rise, Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"Alright! Way to keep fighting, Yugo!" Rin cheered.

I can release an Odd Eyes monster on my field and then I draw depending on the released monster's level! Since Odd Eyes was a level 7, I draw 3 cards!" Yuya shouted as he drew while his ace dissolved. "Alright, I end my turn with that!"

"Both duelists have 50 life points left! They're life points are like candles in the wind, the next player to inflict damage to the other will surely come out victorious!" Melissa shouted.

"To think Yuya would have the perfect counter to Yugo's dragon..." Yuto uttered in amazement.

"Perfect counter?" Rin said in confusion.

"Crystal Clear Wing's effect can't be applied during the damage step, so Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon can freely use it's new effect without Crystal Clear Wing gaining ATK." Shun explained to his sister's counterpart.

"Tch...it doesn't matter, Yugo will come up with something! He's too stubborn to give up!" Rin hopefully shouted.

"To think I almost lost to that dragon a second time..." Yugo nervously laughed before shaking his head and steeling his resolve. "Even if you managed to find a way to counter it, Crystal Clear Wing and I are unstoppable! Isn't that right, partner?"

"Show them our power, master!"

"Yeah, let's do it! MY TURN!" Yugo roared as he powerfully drew. "Let's go! I activate the Equip Spell, Silver Wing! By equipping this to Crystal Clear Wing, it can't be destroyed by battle twice per turn!"

"Is he trying to set up a defense?" Crow wondered.

"This is Yugo we're talking about, he must be setting something up for his counterattack." Serena anticipated.

"It's time! BATTLE! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yugo shouted as his white dragon sped towards the black hybrid dragon.

"At this moment, Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon's effect activates, doubling it's ATK!"

"Counterattack, Rebellious Wrath - STRIKE DISOBEY!" Yuya cried as his dragon charged forward with it's electrified fangs.

The two dragons clashed once again, although this time, the exchange was much more one sided. The black dragon drove it's fangs upwards, striking the dragon in it's core and sending a wave of purple electricity at Yugo.

"I activate the effect of Speedroid Gear Guard in my hand! By sending this card to the graveyard, an instance of battle damage involving a WIND monster is reduced to 0! Then, if the battling monster is a Synchro monster, I can draw a card!" Yugo shouted as a small grey mech carrying a gear-shaped shield appeared in front of him and blocked the incoming electricity.

"So that was the card you added to your hand when your dragon was destroyed. But I have to ask, what was your motive in attacking like that?" Yuya asked.

"So that was your plan...unreal...!" Yuya uttered in disbelief.

"It'll have enough ATK to overcome Odd Eyes Rebellion!" Sawatari shouted.

"And Yuya has no set cards...!" Gongenzaka realized.

"This can't be the end..." Masumi uttered.

"Alright! I knew Yugo had something up his sleeve!" Rin cheered.

"Let's do this one last time! BATTLE! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon and end this duel once and for all!" Yugo cried as his dragon flew towards the hybrid.

The black dragon refused to back down as it flew through the air and powered up once again.

"Checkmate, Yuya! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!" Yugo shouted as he thrusted his fist towards the sky.

The white dragon stormed through the field and rushed through the black dragon, causing a powerful explosion of green energy that headed directly for Yuya.

"YUYA!" Serena and Crow cried.

"...I can't have you stealing my show now, can I? Entermate Barrier Balloon Tapir's effect in my hand activates! By discarding, I don't take any damage!" Yuya countered as a barrier formed around him, protecting him from the storm of energy.

"Huh?! You had one of those cards in your hand too?!" Yugo comedically gasped.

"You aren't the only lucky one." Yuya grinned.

"Tch...we'll just end it on the next turn, I'm sure of it! Clear Wing and I are the strongest in the world!" Yugo determinedly shouted as his dragon roared. "I set a card facedown, turn end!"

Crystal Clear Wing (6600/2500)-(3300/2500)

As Yuya placed his hand on his deck, the boy brainstormed a way to get out of this situation, but that caused him to realized something crucial.

'I...I have nothing left to fight with...! The only cards I have left that could possibly help are the cards that are the cards born from my darkness...'

Yuya looked down in shame as his hand twitched.

'I have to win with my own dueling...I have to show them that there is a better way to duel...I will show them, no matter what!'

As Yuya placed his hand on his pendulum, it began to give off a bright blue light.

The boy's eyes widened as he saw the spirit of Enlightenment Paladin in front of him. Suddenly, the spirit of the swordsman began to shine, causing Yuya to see a faint image of a new monster.

"...I understand. I don't have to rely on the power I gained through my anger to win! The only power I need is the power that I created! The power of Pendulum!" Yuya declared with a large grin. "From my hand, I activate the Quick Play Spell, Pendulum Shift! Through it's effect, I change Odd Eyes Clear Magician's Pendulum Scale to 9!"

"So you can Pendulum Summon back Odd Eyes Wing Dragon, right? Not happening! Once per turn, I can negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card and destroy it! DICHROIC FORCE!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared, causing the card to be consumed by a green cyclone. "Don't tell me that's all you got, Yuya!"

"I'm not even close to being finished! Odd Eyes Release Draw's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing it along with an Extra Deck Odd Eyes monster such as Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon, I can draw two cards!"

"Trap Activate! Talisman of Reversal! Since you drew outside of the Draw Phase, I can draw until I have the same amount of cards in my hand as you!" Yugo shouted as he drew until he had a five card hand.

"Too bad you won't get to use those cards! I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Storm! By destroying the cards in the Pendulum Zone, your Equip Spell is destroyed!" Yuya shouted as a cyclone of wind destroyed Trump Witch, Clear Magician, and Silver Wing.

"Now Crystal Clear Wing can be destroyed!" Sawatari cheerfully shouted.

"But Yuya still has to overcome it's ATK without using a monster effect, or else Crystal Clear Wing's ATK will increase again..." Gongenzaka noted.

"I activate the Spell Card, Miracle Rebirth! First, I must send the top card of my deck to the graveyard. Then, if it's a monster, I can special summon a monster with the same type but a different name from my graveyard!" Yuya explained with a smile as a large yellow portal appeared. "My deck will respond to me right now! Let's go!"

Yuya held the top card of his deck high in the air, causing everyone to look on in anticipation. The boy grinned as the card was revealed to be...

"...Tuning Magician! Since it's a Magician-type, I can send it to the graveyard to revive a Magician-type from my graveyard! Thank you, Tuning Magician!" Yuya shouted as the spirit of the girl magician winked at the boy before flying to the portal. "Return to the field, Enlightenment Paladin!"

"And since the opponent controls a special summoned monster, I can special summon Entermate Radish Horse from my hand!" Yuya shouted as pink horse with a radish horn on it's head appeared.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Storm! By destroying the cards in the Pendulum Zone, your Equip Spell is destroyed!" Yuya shouted as a cyclone of wind destroyed Trump Witch, Clear Magician, and Silver Wing.

"You may have eliminated my dragon's destruction protection, but you still have to overpower my dragon!" Yugo yelled.

"I'll overpower it with this! Radish Horse's effect activates! By targeting a monster I control and a monster you control that has 2500 or more ATK, my monster gains the ATK of this monster and then the opponent's monster's ATK is decreased by the same amount! I target Enlightenment Paladin and Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya yelled as his horse fired it's radish horn into the sky which exploded into particles that were absorbed into the swordsman.

The particles then began to float towards the white and blue dragon, causing Yugo to grit his teeth.

'Shit...if Crystal Clear Wing is hit by the effect, it's ATK will fall to 2800...and Enlightenment Paladin will be stronger...I have to stop it!' Yugo thought to himself before pointing up at his dragon. "I won't let you touch my dragon! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! It gains Entermate Radish Horse's ATK and becomes unaffected by monster effects!"

The dragon's wings shined, whipping up a powerful force of wind that blew away the particles.

"Enlightenment Paladin can't stand up to Crystal Clear Wing at this rate...but Yuya had to have expected that..." Serena trailed off.

"Now what, Yuya?! Is that all you got?!" Yugo screamed.

"Have some patience, Yugo. After all, the fun has just begun! With the Scale 1 Entermate Gumgumouton, and the Scale 3 Xiangke Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Out of the portal in the sky, a beam shot down which revealed to be a purple cat that's body was a trampoline.

"Trampolynx's effect activates! When this card is summoned, I can return a card I control to my hand! I return Entermate Radish Horse to my hand!" Yuya explained as the horse returned to his hand.

"That's not a bad move, Yuya. But even if you summon back that monster and use it's effect again, Enlightenment Paladin will only have 3500 ATK! This duel is mine!" Yugo confidently shouted.

"That would be the case...but I have one more surprise left..." Yuya smiled as he grabbed his pendulum before turning to his paladin, who nodded back at him.

"What are you talking about...?!" Yugo grunted.

"Yugo, for the longest time, I've been relying on the power that I've gained from you, Yuto, and Yuzu. But the power of pendulum, which I created, is limitless...and I'll break through my limits and evolve even further, just like you did!" Yuya shouted as he pointed back at his opponent.

"You don't mean...!" Yugo trailed off as he noticed Yuya's Extra Deck giving off a blue glow.

"It's time! I tune my level 8 Enlightenment Paladin to my level 2 Entermate Trampolynx!" Yuya declared, shocking everyone.

"What?! How can you Synchro Summon without a tuner monster?!" Yugo questioned.

"The monster I'm summoning can be summoned by releasing a Pendulum Monster that was Pendulum Summoned this turn and a Synchro Monster whose combined levels equal 10!" Yuya explained as his paladin turned into eight green rings that flew around the Entermate.

"He used the power of Pendulum to evolve his Synchro Summoning even further...!" Yugo uttered in awe as the night sky was illuminated by a brilliant flash of blue light.

"From the peaceful depths of time, release the light throughout this wide world, and revive! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Level 10! Ultimate Magical Swordsman of Enlightenment! Nirvana High Paladin!" Yuya screamed as the light began to dissipate, revealing a paladin clad in blue and golden armor that carried a large sword with a gold handle.

"U-U-Unbelievable! Yuya Sakaki has performed a unique kind of Synchro Summon, just like his opponent did a few turns before! This has truly become the battle of Synchro evolutions!" Melissa shouted as the crowed roared.

"That kid never ceases to amaze me..." Crow smirked.

"Leave it to Yuya to pull something like this out of nowhere!" Sawatari cheered.

"To think Yuya could pull off such a form of Synchro Summoning. I, the man Gongenzaka, feel so proud." Gongenzaka emotionally said.

"Yuya...show them all what you can do." Serena smiled.

"So you went out and evolved even further in the spur of the moment...I should be mad...but I'm honestly happy that we're both giving this duel everything we got!" Yugo shouted before grinning.

"Yugo...at the start of this duel, you weren't smiling because you were so driven to win...I'm glad you ended up enjoying this duel." Yuya said to his counterpart with a smile.

"And I'm glad you decided to stop holding back. This duel has been the greatest duel ever, so let's end it with a bang!" Yugo shouted in excitement.

"Yeah! The fun has just begun! High Nirvana Paladin's effect activates! When this card is summoned using a Pendulum Summoned Pendulum Monster, I can target a card in my graveyard and add it to my hand!" Yuya shouted as his monster waved it's sword in a circular motion, creating a rainbow colored portal in the sky. "I target the Spell Card, Smile World!

Suddenly, the Spell Card materialized from the portal and flew towards Yuya, who caught the card with a smile on his face.

"Smile World? How will that help you?" Yugo questioned.

"You're about to find out! Since the opponent controls a special summoned monster, I can special summon Entermate Radish Horse from my hand!" Yuya shouted as pink horse with a radish horn on it's head returned to the field.

Yuya shouted as the horse shot it's horn up into the air which exploded into particles that filled the field.

"Crystal Clear Wing is unaffected by monster effects, so it's ATK won't drop." Yugo told his opponent.

"That doesn't matter since Nirvana High Paladin's ATK now surpasses your dragon!" Yuya grinned as his swordsman absorbed the particles.

"Incredible! With a combination of Smile World and Radish Horse, Nirvana High Paladin is the strongest monster on the field!"

"N-No way...he really did it...!" Yugo's eyes widened in disbelief.

"He actually did it! He surpassed Crystal Clear Wing!" Sawatari jumped with glee.

"Awesome, kid! Now finish this duel!" Crow yelled.

"This can't be the end..." Rin uttered in sadness.

"Ladies and gentleman! It's time for the grand finale! BATTLE! Nirvana High Paladin, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and end this duel!" Yuya declared as he raised his fist to the sky.

The paladin's blade ignited in a swirl of green and purple energy as it was raised to the sky. The purple and green energy extended upwards, creating an insanely large energy blade that illuminated the night sky.

"This is the end...!" Melissa gasped.

"Go...TRUTH SUKHAVATI!"

Yuya's scream echoed throughout the night as everyone watched in silence. The paladin swung it's sword downward, causing the gigantic blade of green and purple energy to fall towards the white and blue dragon.

Yugo's pupils shook while watching his hopes and dreams shatter in front of his eyes as the energy blade hit the dragon.

"...I can't keep up...he just keeps growing stronger...I can't surpass him...I'm sorry...Rin...everyone..." Yugo uttered as he looked down and closed his eyes.

"Don't give up, master! This duel isn't over yet!"

Hearing that familiar voice once again, Yugo opened his eyes and saw his dragon blocked the sword with both of it's arms while looking back at the boy.

"It's holding the attack back?!" Yuya gasped.

"C-Clear Wing?!" Yugo stuttered as his dragon struggled to hold back the attack.

"His potential may allow him to keep gaining strength, but your resolve is stronger! Take all of the pain and sorrow you felt in your past and channel it into determination to win this duel!"

"Clear Wing..." Yugo uttered as a tear fell down his cheek.

"I believe in you, master! Now, let's go!"

Yugo wiped away the tears in his eyes before grinning at his strongest monster.

"Right! We still have a chance to win this duel! Let's reach our destiny! Trap Activate! Meteor Wave! Crystal Clear Wing gains 300 ATK and can inflict piercing damage!" Yugo shouted as his dragon was engulfed in red energy.

Crystal Clear Wing (4100/2500)-(4400/2500)

"No way...it's ATK is the same as Yuya's monster...!" Sora gasped.

"That means both will be destroyed!" Crow realized.

"Do it, Crystal Clear Wing!" Yugo commanded his dragon.

With one final roar, the dragon exploded in a burst of energy that consumed the paladin and the field. The light from the explosion blinded the audience, who struggled to see the conclusion of the battle.

"I guess your new monster wasn't so tough after all!" Yugo shouted.

"You think so?" Yuya smirked as the light dissipated, revealing his newest monster to still be present on the battlefield.

"H-How?!" Yugo questioned in shock.

"Entermate Gumgumouton's Pendulum Effect negates destruction by battle once per turn. It seems my monster was victorious after all!" Yuya yelled with a smile.

"So I couldn't destroy it after all...sorry, Clear Wing..." Yugo uttered.

"Now, Nirvana High Paladin's second effect activates! Since this card successfully destroyed a monster by battle...your life points are halved!"

"What?!"

"Go, LIGHT OF SALVATION!"

The monster drove it's blade into the ground, causing a brilliant blue light to erupt out of the ground that consumed Yugo.

"GAAAAAAH!"

"Now Yuya can attack directly with Radish Horse and win!" Sora cheered.

"Heh... even after I evolved in a way I never could have imagined, you still found a way to catch up to me...and soon...you'll probably surpass me...that's just the kind of duelist you are." Yugo said in a somewhat defeated tone.

"Yugo..." Yuya uttered.

"...But Clear Wing believes in me...so I can't just give up now...I have to prove that my partner was right in believing in me!" Yugo shouted.

"Did you say...Clear Wing believes in you?" Yuya asked in a surprised tone.

"That's right! I can't let my partner down! I'll match your limitless potential...with my unwavering resolve! I activate the effect of the Trap Card, Synchro Drift in my graveyard!" Yugo shouted, causing Yuya's eyes to widen.

"That card...!" Yuya gasped, remembering when Yugo used it long ago during the Miami Championship.

"By banishing this card when a Synchro monster leaves the field, I can special summon it back! Rise, Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo screamed as his ace monster returned to the field in a powerful storm of wind.

"He brought it back again?!" Sawatari's jaw dropped.

"No matter how many times you knock us down, we'll keep rising back up! That's how determined we are to reach our destiny!" Yugo shouted as his dragon roared in agreement.

"Your resolve might be strong, but I'll overcome that strength with my own power! Entermate Springoose's effect activates in my hand! By banishing it, I can return Horse Radish and Xiangke Magician to my hand! Then, I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuya concluded.

Nirvana High Paladin (4400/2500)-(3300/2500)

"We've been through so much to get this far...Clear Wing and I...will see this through to the very end! My turn...DRAW!" Yugo shouted as he powerfully drew, creating a force of wind that blew the field. "...Alright! This is it! The card that will bring me victory! I activate the Spell Card, Speedroid Accel! This allows me to draw a card and if it's a Speedroid, I get to special summon it. If not, that card is banished. Let's go!"

Yugo drew the top top card of his deck and grinned.

"Yes! I summon Speedroid Shave Boomerang!"

The yellow boomerang mech appeared beside the large dragon.

"Quick Play Spell, Cyclone! Entermate Gumgumouton is destroyed in your Pendulum Zone!" Yugo shouted as the black tornado ripped through the Entermate. "It's time to grasp my dream! BATTLE! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Nirvana High Paladin! SHINNING TEMPEST DRIVE!"

Once more, a whirlwind of green energy surrounded the dragon as it descended from the heavens towards

"Yuya!" Sora and Serena yelled.

"Don't lose!" Gongenzaka and Sawatari screamed.

"Don't give up, kid!" Crow roared.

"...The fun isn't over yet! Trap Activate! Last Minute Cancel! Nirvana High Paladin is switched to defense mode!"

Before taking a defensive stance, the swordsman was consumed by the whirlwind of green energy.

As the smoke covered the field, Yuya was able to pick up an Action Card.

"There goes his new monster..." Sawatari sighed.

"I guess my Accel Synchro was stronger after all!" Yugo grinned.

"My monster isn't finished just yet! Nirvana High Paladin's effect activates! Upon being destroyed, I can place it in the Pendulum Zone!"

"I set three cards facedown and end my turn! At this moment, Shave Boomerang is destroyed since it was summoned through Speedroid Accel's effect." Yugo explained at the boomerang dissolved. "This duel is almost over..."

"You're right about that. This duel is about to conclude. The stage is set for one last act! Are you ready, Yugo?" Yuya questioned with a grin.

"Always. Bring it!" Yugo responded with a smirk as his dragon roared, sharing the same amount of confidence.

"Ladies and Gentleman! The climax you've all been waiting for is here! My turn...DRAW!" Yuya shouted as he drew, leaving a trail of colorful light in the sky. The boy then smiled as he placed the card in his hand, before picking up the card he had just picked off the track during the previous turn. "Let's go! I activate the Action Spell, Single Distraction! Since you only control one monster, that monster is destroyed!"

"Not so fast! Crystal Clear Wing's effect! Your Spell's effect is negated! Dichroic Force!" Yugo countered as the card was ripped to shreds by a tornado that surrounded it.

"Now that your dragon's effect is out of the way, I activate the Spell Card, Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and then I discard two!" Yuya drew three before sending Xiangke Magician and Entermate Silver Claw to the graveyard. "Alright! With the Scale 2 Acrobat Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

The red and green magician appeared in the empty column in the sky.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 3 through 7!" Yuya declared.

"So you're going for one last Pendulum Summon, eh? That won't be enough to stop me and Crystal Clear Wing!" Yugo confidently shouted.

"Pendulum is the power I created! It's my own strength! My own path! I'll continue to walk down the path I created! Swing pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! PENDULUM SUMMON! Come forth, my final cast of monsters!"

As Yuya cried out to the heavens, five colorful lights shot out of the portal in the sky. The lights swirled across the battlefield, created a brilliant spectacle that left everyone in awe. The lights then slammed onto Yuya's field, created a vibrant shine of light that revealed five monsters.

"Let's change the fate of this dimension, Yugo! Entermate Smile Mage's effect activates! When this card is Pendulum Summoned, I can add my Spell Card, Smile World back to my hand!" Yuya explained as he pointed at his yellow and purple robed magician who wore a smiley mask that concealed his face.

"I'm way ahead of you! Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! When an opponent's monster effect is activated, this card becomes unaffected by monster effects! Also, it gains that monster's original ATK!" Yugo roared as his monster gained a brilliant glow.

"How about that?!" Yugo yelled with a smirk.

"We're not even close to finished!" Yuya shouted as he looked down at his father's Spell Card. "Dad...I'll make you proud through my own dueling..."

Yuya then smiled as he held the card high in the sky, before slamming it into his duel disk.

"I activate the Spell Card, Smile World!" Yuya roared as once again, colorful smiley faces flew through the field. "Now, all monsters gain 100 ATK for each monster on the field!"

By targeting Nirvana High Paladin and Crystal Clear Wing, my monster gains this card's ATK while your monster loses the same amount of ATK!" Yuya shouted as the horse shot it's horn up into the air which exploded into particles that filled the field.

"Like before, Crystal Clear Wing won't be affected!" Yugo shouted.

"But Odd Eyes will!" Yuya grinned as his dragon powered up even further.

"It's still not enough! Yugo's got this!" Rin shouted.

"Here we go! It's time for the finale! BATTLE! Timegazer Magician, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya declared, much to the shock of everyone, as one of his signature magicians flew through the air and raised the blade on it's arm to the sky.

"W-W-What?!" Melissa stuttered in shock.

"Is that all you got?! Deflect it and end this duel, Crystal Clear Wing!" Yugo yelled.

"As the founder of Pendulum Summoning, I'll display it's true power right now! Nirvana High Paladin's Pendulum Effect activates! By targeting Timegazer Magician, it can't be destroyed and any battle damage is negated!"

As the paladin waved it's sword, a rainbow aura surrounded the magician before striking the powerful dragon with it's blade, causing the dragon to become strangely damaged.

"What the hell?! Clear Wing!" Yugo cried, sensing his dragon's pain.

"Nirvana High Paladin's pendulum effect causes the ATK of all monsters the opponent controls to be lowered by the target's ATK after it battles!" Yuya explained with as the clash ended, causing the dragon to become weakened.

"It's ATK is less than Odd Eyes'..." Shun realized.

"Yuya has won...!" Yuto uttered.

"S-So that was your aim...what a powerful pendulum effect...it's almost unreal..." Yugo trailed off in disbelief. However, the boy looked up at his partner with a smile on his face. The spirits of Cork-10, Puzzle, Chanbarider, Machago Ita, Kitedrake, Clear Wing, and Crystal Wing all appeared behind the large dragon before flying into it, causing it to gain a bright aura.

Crystal Clear Wing (4100/2500)-(8300/2500)

"8300 ATK..." Masumi gasped.

"Is that really all you got, Yuya?! I thought you were going to show everyone the true power of your creation?!" Yugo taunted.

"I'll do that right now! Nirvana High Paladin's effect continues when the battles ends! Now, the target of it's effect switches to a monster one level higher than the previous target!" Yuya explained as the gear on the paladin's blade shifted, causing the glowing number 3 floating in front of the blade to be replaced by the number 4. "Meaning, the effect switched from the level 3 Timegazer Magician to the level 4 Entermate Horse Radish!"

As Yuya continued to explain, the colorful aura left the magician and surrounded the horse.

"This means Yuya can just keep attacking until Yugo's monster is drained of ATK!" Serena realized.

"What a powerful effect..." Gongenzaka uttered in awe.

"Hell yeah, Yuya! That's my rival!" Sawatari cheered.

"That kid really is unbelievable..." Crow proudly uttered.

"The fun has just begun! Entermate Radish Horse, attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his horse rammed into the dragon in a colorful flash of light.

Crystal Clear Wing (8300/2500)-(7200/2500)

"At this moment, Nirvana High Paladin's effect continues! The target changes to the level 5 Entermate Gumgumouton!" Yuya shouted as the magical number shifted to 5, causing the green monster to gain a colorful aura. "Go, Entermate Gumgumouton! Attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The green monster clashed against the dragon in a burst of colorful energy, weakening it once again.

"At this moment, Nirvana High Paladin's effect continues! The target changes to the level 6 Entermate Smile Mage!" Yuya shouted as the magical number shifted to 5, causing the magician to gain a colorful aura. "Go, Entermate Smile Mage! Attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The magician drew a smiley face in the air with his rod, summoning a colorful stream from it that collided with the dragon.

"Our voices may be small, but when united together, anything is possible!" Yuya shouted as he raised his fist, causing the crowd to roar in applause.

"So this is the true power of Yuya Sakaki...moving the hearts of those who watch his dueling..." Jack uttered with a smile as he watched from his throne.

"Ladies and gentleman! It's time to end this duel with a bang! This is the finale! Go, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Attack Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

Yuya's dragon let out a powerful roar as colorful energy began to swirl around it.

"Say with me now, everyone!" Yuya shouted out to the audience as his ace charged it's attack.

"SPIRAL..." The crowd began.

"...STRIKE...!" Crow, Serena, Sawatari, Masumi, and Gongenzaka continued.

"...BURST!" Yuya screamed, snapping his fingers.

The dragon fired a brilliant stream of golden energy that fluctuated into different colors as it shot across the field.

Yugo stared on in disbelief as his vision was enveloped in a colorful light.

"...So this is the true power of Pendulum...the power of connection that unites everything together." Yugo realized as he closed his eyes. "You'll make a great king, Yuya..."

"Yugo..." Yuya uttered softly as the blast enveloped Yugo's field.

"...but I'll make an even better one! Trap Activate! Re-Dice!"

Suddenly, the blast paused it's advancement onto Yugo's field, mere inches away from Crystal Clear Wing.

"What are you-" Yuya began to question, but his eyes widened as he noticed his opponent's Extra Deck and eyes both glowing for a brief moment.

"First, I must choose a Synchro monster in my Extra Deck! Then, this card allows me to bring back the tuner monster, Speedroid Red Eyed Dice with it's effects negated!"

Speedroid Red Eyed Dice (100/100) LVL: 1

"Next, I get to roll a dice and Speedroid Red Eyed Dice becomes that level. After that, I must Synchro Summon the monster I chose in my Extra Deck. If I can't, all monsters I control are destroyed! The monster I'm going to summon is level 11!" Yugo explained.

"A level 11 Synchro monster?! It appears Yugo has one last card up his sleeve! But due to Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon being level 10, if his tuner's level changes, all of his monsters will be destroyed!" Melissa shouted.

"If you don't roll a one, I win." Yuya said.

"Hah! I love those odds!" Yugo shouted with a childish grin. "Let's seize our future, Clear Wing! Go, dice roll!"

The dice appeared in front of Crystal Clear Wing, who smacked the dice with it's fist. The dice spun through the air before landing on the track and continuing to roll.

Two, four, one, three, six, five, the dice showed various numbers as it rolled for what felt like an eternity. Eventually, the dice ceased it's motion, revealing the number...

"One! It's the number one! Alright!" Yugo roared in triumph.

"...He pulled it off..." Yuya uttered, realizing the shift in momentum that just took place.

"Here we go! I tune the level 1 Red Eyed Dice to the level 10 Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo screamed as the dice turned into a single green circle that flew around the Accel Synchro monster. "Dragon born from the wind! Transform your soul into the machine of pure speed and accelerate into the storm! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Race out! Level 11! High-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider!"

A D-Wheel that looked identical to Clear Wing Synchro Dragon raced alongside Yugo.

"Clear Wing transformed into a D-Wheel...!" Rin uttered in disbelief.

"Amazing, Yugo...but even so, Odd Eyes has 4200 ATK! And now the battle will resume with Clear Wing Rider as the target of the attack!" Yuya pointed out.

"Not so fast! Trap Activate! Synchro Comeback! By targeting a Synchro Monster on my field, in exchange for being destroyed during the end of the turn, it can activate it's effect during the opponent's turn!" Yugo explained with a grin.

"What?!"

"Clear Wing Rider's effect activates! Once per turn, I can roll a dice and then I must shuffle WIND monsters in my graveyard into my deck equal to the result. Go, dice roll!" Yugo shouted as another dice materialized and flew through the air, landing on the number six. "My luck is on fire! Now, I shuffle Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, High-Speedroid Cork-10, High-Speedroid Puzzle, and High-Speedroid Kitedrake back into my Extra Deck."

"Recycling your Synchro monsters?" Yuya questioned.

"It's not over! Now, I can destroy cards the opponent controls up to the amount of cards that were returned to the deck! That's six cards! All of your monsters and Nirvana High Paladin in your Pendulum Zone are destroyed!"

"WHAT?!"

"Go...DICHROIC ACCELERATION!"

The yellow eyes on the D-Wheel shined as it turned around and began to circle Yuya's field. The green blades on the D-Wheel shined, creating a powerful tornado around Yuya's monsters.

All Yuya could do is look on in horror as his all of his monsters, including his powered up ace, and his hybrid in the Pendulum Zone, were all decimated.

"Then, Clear Wing Rider gains 500 ATK for each card that was destroyed!"

"T-This is...unreal...victory seemed assured for Yuya Sakaki...but Yugo just completely took the advantage by tearing through his opponent's field at such an unexpected moment! In all of my years of commentating, I've never seen such a reversal!" Melissa shouted in disbelief.

"Alright, Yugo! I knew you could turn it around!" Rin yelled.

"Sorry about stealing your thunder, Yuya. But I can't afford to lose here! With this new power, I'll reach my dream!" Yugo confidently shouted.

"...You think so?" Yuya questioned as a smirk formed on his face.

"What?!"

"I still have a chance to win this duel, Yugo! Entermate Smile Mage's effect activates! When this monster is destroyed while it's ATK is higher than it's original, I can draw a card for every Entermate that was destroyed during this turn! That means I draw three! You tested your luck...so let's test mine...DRAAAAAW!" Yuya screamed as his draw created a stream of light. "...Quick Play Spell, Pendulum Reversal! By sending a Pendulum Monster in my Extra Deck that was destroyed this turn to the graveyard, I can special summon a Pendulum Monster from my Extra Deck with a lower level!"

"Huh?!" Yugo gasped.

"I send the Level 10 Nirvana High Paladin to the graveyard! Rise again! Level 8! Dragon with piercing eyes of breakthrough! Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!"

The red and green eyed hybrid dragon with white and black armor and sharp light blue crystals appeared with a powerful roar.

"All hope seemed lost for Team United Hope, but Odd Eyes Wing Dragon has made an unexpected return!" Melissa shouted as the crowd cheered for Yuya.

"N-No way..." Yugo uttered in shock.

"Yuya's last resort...bringing back the dragon that connects himself to Yugo." Yuto commented.

"Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect activates! Clear Wing Rider is destroyed and this card gains it's ATK! DICHROIC...DESTRUCTION!" Yuya cried as his monster released a terrifyingly large hurricane of white energy.

"GRAAAAAHHH!" Yugo cried as he and his dragon-like motorcycle were consumed.

The crowd looked on in silence as the field was consumed in smoke.

"...Yugo...I believe in you..." Rin uttered.

As if he was responding to his crush's words, Yugo raced out of the smoke with Clear Wing Rider racing beside him.

"It can't be!" Yuya shouted.

"The monster targeted by Synchro Comeback can't be destroyed by battle or the opponent's card effects! It seems like your last resort couldn't finish me off!" Yugo shouted with a grin.

"Grr...even so, your monster will still be destroyed at the end of the turn due to being targeted by Synchro Comeback's effect." Yuya pointed out.

"That may be true, but I wasn't planning on my monster sticking around for that long. Now that your Battle Phase is over, I can do this! Clear Wing Rider's other effect activates! Tempest Reboot!" Yugo roared.

"Tempest Reboot?" Yuya repeated in confusion.

The motorcycle was surrounded by green energy before racing around Yugo at the speed of light, creating a green tornado.

From within the tornado, the cries of two dragons could be heard.

"What the hell?!" Yuya questioned as he tried to look within the tornado, seeing the shadow of two dragons.

"During my opponent's Main Phase, by releasing this Synchro Summoned monster, I can special summon two level 7 WIND Synchro monsters from my Extra Deck!" Yugo explained with a triumphant smile.

"W-What?!"

"Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

"White dragon with shinning wings! Smash through our enemies and soar through the battle field at the speed of light! Come Forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Fast Dragon!"

The two white dragons soared out of storm of green wind and flew beside Yugo.

"Amazing! Both Synchro Pendulum hybrid dragons are sharing the field!" Melissa commented.

"Heh...I set a card facedown, turn end!" Yuya concluded.

"This is my...no...our...FINAL DRAW! My...TURN!" Yugo screamed as he put his all into his possibly last draw. "LET'S END THIS! BATTLE! Go, Clear Wing Fast Dragon! Attack Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!"

The two hybrid dragons became locked in aerial combat, zooming through the sky and clashing, creating powerful shockwaves that shook the track.

"Unbelievable! The two Synchro Pendulum hybrids are duking it out!" Melissa shouted in awe.

"Fight back, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya commanded.

The stronger dragon fired a powerful blast of shinning energy from it's wings that drove the weaker dragon back.

"At this moment, Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect! By targeting your dragon, it's ATK becomes 0 and it's effects are negated! DISTORTION MIRROR!" Yugo cried as his dragon's wings released a beam of blue light that consumed the dichromatic dragon's attack and paralyzed it.

Odd Eyes Wing (3000/2500)-(0/2500)

"I will change the future! I will become the king! GO! RAPID SKY DROP CHARGE!" Yugo roared as his hybrid dragon surrounded itself in blue energy before spiraling towards the opposing dragon.

"It's not over until the very end! Trap Activate! Odd Eyes Energize! When a Odd Eyes monster while I have 1000 life points or less, I can target an Odd Eyes monster face up in my Extra Deck with a lower level then the attacked monster and it gains the target's ATK! I target Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the hybrid dragon was surrounded by crimson energy.

Odd Eyes Wing (0/2500)-(2500/2500)

"COUNTERATTACK! STORMING ATTACK - SPIRAL SLASHER!"

The white and blue dragon surrounded by crimson energy crashed into the white and green dragon coated in blue energy. When the dust settled, neither dragon was left standing.

"That was a great final stand, Yuya. However, this duel is over." Yugo said in a solemn tone before taking a deep breath and looking at his opponent. "Yuya...I'm thankful for what you've helped me realize. I'll carry your wishes when I face the king. But I have to do this."

"I know you do, Yugo. I'm proud of you." Yuya told the boy with a saddened smile.

"...Thank you...brother..."

After softly speaking, Yugo wiped a tear from his eyes before closing his eyes and shouting.

"...Clear Wing Synchro Dragon...direct attack..." Yugo shouted as he raised his fist to the sky. "...WHIRLWIND HELL DIVE SLASHER!"

Yugo's command echoed throughout the night, causing everyone to get out of there seats and watch in anticipation.

Yuya watched as the dragon flew up into the night sky with it's green prismatic wings glimmering like a star. The dragon began to spiral down while surrounded by green energy.

The dragon descended like a green shooting star that reflected in Yuya's goggles.

Moments later, Yugo heard Clear Wing make contact. When the boy opened his eyes, he was shocked to see Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon holding back the attack.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL:7

"Odd Eyes...why is it here...?" Yugo asked in disbelief.

"Odd Eyes Energize's effect activated in my graveyard when I was attacked directly. By banishing it, I can special summon an Odd Eyes pendulum monster from my Extra Deck with equal or less ATK then the opposing monster." Yuya explained in a serious tone as Odd Eyes let out a powerful roar.

Yugo was taken aback by this turn of events. He really had thought he had won.

"No matter...just a little more...and I'll win..." Yugo told himself as his ace returned to his side. "...I set a card facedown...turn end..."

"Yugo...this is the final turn." Yuya told his counterpart as he put his hand on the top of his deck.

"You're right...so give it everything you got." Yugo told his counterpart.

"Right...my turn...DRAW!" Yuya shouted as powerfully drew, creating an arc of colorful light in the night sky. "...BATTLE! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The red and green eyed dragon began to charge forward before leaping up towards the stars.

"Trap Activate! Clear Wing Reflection! By targeting a Clear Wing monster in my graveyard, a Clear Wing monster on my field's ATK becomes equal to the target's ATK! I target High-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider...so Clear Wing's ATK becomes 3500-"

"Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Fury! During a battle with an Odd Eyes monster, I can negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card!" Yuya shouted as Yugo's last ditch effort was engulfed in flames.

"...But...our dragons have the same ATK..."

"I'm not done yet! This is my all! Quick Play Spell, Magician's Drive activate! By destroying Acrobat Magician in my Pendulum Zone, a Pendulum monster I control gains ATK equal to it's Scale times 100! Meaning, Odd Eyes gains 200 ATK!"

As the dragon charged red energy in it's mouth, the magician in the blue column turned into particles that were absorbed into the dragon.

Odd Eyes (2500/2000)-(2700/2000)

"..." Yugo looked down and smiled as the light coming from Odd Eyes's mouth illuminated the night with red light.

"This is it! This is what I've been fighting for since this tournament started! The true potential of what every duel can be like! A duel where people can smile because it's fun, not because people are getting hurt!" Yuya passionately shouted with teary eyes as he clutched his pendant. "That's what I, Yuya Sakaki, believe! That's why I duel!"

Rin, Yuzu, Shun, Yuto, and Ruri all stared in disbelief.

Serena, Crow, Sawatari, Masumi, Sora, and Gongenzaka all watched on with smiles.

Reira stared with a hopeful look while Reiji, Tsukikage, Hokuto, Yaiba, and Roy watched with a serious one.

Jack Atlas looked on with a smirk.

Every person in the crowd, Tops and Commons, cheered in unison as if they were united.

Odd Eyes let out a primal roar and Yuya punched his fist through the air.

"Yuya...thank you for this duel..." Yugo whispered.

"...SPIRAL...STRIKE...BURST!"

The red blast engulfed the white the dragon, who did everything it could to push through the attack.

Clear Wing looked back at Yugo, with it's yellow eyes meeting Yugo's blue eyes.

"...Yugo..."

Tears began to fall from Yugo's eyes as he looked up with a determined look.

"GRAAAAAH! Clear Wing Reflection's effect in the graveyard activates! When an opposing monster's ATK is increased during battle with a Clear Wing monster, it's ATK is returned to normal and Clear Wing gains the change in ATK!"

"...It can't be..." Yuya gasped as his eyes widened while his pupils shrunk.

Clear Wing became engulfed in green energy as it pushed through the red dragon's blast.

The white dragon charged through the red stream of energy and slashed through Odd Eyes' core with it's green prismatic wings.

Odd Eyes gave one last look to Yuya before exploding into pure red light that consumed the field.

Everyone in the stadium rose to their feet, trying to make out what happened.

When the bright light dissipated, everyone stared in disbelief as Yuya's D-Wheel had stopped moving. The match was over. A new champion was born...

...and his name was Yugo.

"It's actually over...this year's winner of the Friendship Cup is Yugo and Team Wings of Victory!" Melissa shouted as the crowd broke their silence with roars of applause and cheers.

Holograms of Yugo, Shun, and Yuzu were displayed throughout the city with the word "Champions" above it.

"That was a epic duel full of twists and turns! It's only natural that it ended with last twist! Victory seemed certain for Yuya Sakaki, but with an either expertly timed or downright lucky counterattack, Yugo has claimed victory for his team! I think it's safe to say that this duel was the best duel in Friendship Cup history!" Melissa yelled.

"YUGO! YUGO! YUGO!" The crowd chanted.

"He did it...HE WON! YES!" Rin joyfully shouted as she jumped up and down.

"Of course he did." Shun smirked.

"Yugo won...and Yuya lost..." Yuzu said in shocked.

"That was a great duel...they both fought as hard as they could..." Yuto told the pink haired girl.

"Yeah...and they made the whole city smile with their dueling." Yuzu smiled.

"I...I can't believe he lost at the very end..." Sawatari uttered in disbelief.

"He may have lost, but he fought valiantly until the very...and I have the feeling he accomplished his goal." Serena smiled as she looked on at the cheering crowd.

"You're right. I'm proud of him." Crow grinned.

"As am I." Gongenzaka agreed.

Out on the track, Yuya was sitting on his D-Wheel, still trying to process what just transpired.

The red and green haired boy was so sure that he was going to win. He used everything thing he had and then some. He used all of his dragons. He even created a powerful new hybrid monster. He dueled with everything he had and still couldn't win.

"Yuya?"

The boy looked up and saw Yugo on his D-Wheel in front of him.

Yuya took off his goggles and got off his D-Wheel while Yugo did the same. The two boys stared at each other for a moment with tension filling the air.

"Yuya...I'm sorry..." Yugo said, surprising Yuya.

"Y-You're sorry? For what?" Yuya asked.

"I dueled Sergey too, y'know...and during it, I really thought he was gonna kill me...so I understand why you did what you did. I would have done anything to win. Especially if he threatened someone I care about. And if it wasn't for you saving me back then, I wouldn't be standing here today. So...I'm sorry for holding a grudge." Yugo apologized.

"If anything, I should be the one saying I'm sorry. I'm the one who always goes on about not hurting people through dueling and yet I hurt two people I care about...and then I did what I did to Sergey-"

"Stop it. You can't blame yourself for that. He was a machine, not a man. He was hellbent on killing you. It's ok to feel remorse, but you can't dwell on it. You had to survive because without you..." Yugo trailed off in an emotional tone.

"Yugo..."

"...It's because of you that I was able to realize how selfish I've been. You helped me realize my true dream. For that, I'm truly thankful that you were my opponent." Yugo said with a smile.

"...Thank you, Yugo. Even though I lost, that duel was the best duel ever." Yuya said, hiding the pain in his voice the best he could.

Despite him normally being dense, Yugo could tell that Yuya was still troubled by the loss.

Yugo pulled his friend close and led him to the edge of the highway, giving them a beautiful view of the city.

"Yuya, what do you see?" Yugo questioned.

For the first time since the invasion began, the city didn't look like a war zone. The boy expected to see some Commons and Security fighting, but the only thing he could see was people cheering.

"It's...peaceful..." Yuya answered.

"That's right. You're dueling got rid of the hatred in their hearts. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed our duel for what it was...two duelists going all out against each other. Not two people trying to hurt each other. Not loads of needless destruction and suffering. You've changed them, Yuya. They finally see the true potential of dueling. Just listen to them." Yugo told his friend.

"You still did awesome out there, Yuya Sakaki!"

"Yuya Sakaki, you were amazing!"

"I can't wait to see you duel again, Yuya Sakaki!"

Yuya began to tear up as he heard the crowd. Yugo was right. The crowd genuinely enjoyed a duel that wasn't full of violence. He was able to do what he sought out to, he was able to show people that dueling isn't meant for violence but for enjoyment. The boy then wiped away his tears and looked at his counterpart.

"Yugo...it might be rough...it might even feel impossible...but you can become king. You can change things for the better. You can make sure no one experiences what you had to back then. I have faith in you. We all do. So give it all you got out there." Yuya told the boy as he held out his hand.

"Right. For you, Rin, Yuzu, Kurosaki, Yuto, the other Lancers, and everyone in this city, I'm going to win. I'm going to make a better future."

Yugo shook Yuya's hand before pulling his friend...no...brother into a hug.

"So, you found your way back to me, Yugo."

Yugo looked up with a suprised look to see a large hologram of Jack Atlas staring down at him.

"King!" Yugo shouted with a smirk.

"Yuya Sakaki, that was a fantastic duel. You have my upmost respect for that way you performed." Jack respectfully spoke before turning to Yugo. "And it appears you've grown a little bit since the last time we faced each other."

"I've only grown a little bit?! What the hell does that mean?!" Yugo growled.

"Watching your duel lit a fire within my soul. I'll give you a few hours to prepare before our title match. This time, I will not be holding back." Jack spike causing Yugo to sweat.

"I'd expect nothing less from the king. With everything I have, I'll defeat you and become the new king! Clear Wing and I will blow you away!" Yugo declared, pointing at the large hologram.

"Prepare to face the burning wrath of the king."

The boy from the Commons and the Duel King of Neo Domino City locked eyes.

The final battle was about to begin.

In the center of a control room in the Security Bureau Building, Roget sat in his throne-like chair while holding a chess piece in his hand.

"Sir, the perimeter of the building is secure. The majority of Security are stationed outside. However, many of the Commons are gathering." Ushio said as he and his team walked into the room.

"They aren't attacking or anything, though. It's almost as if they are waiting to take action." Frost noted.

"If I was a betting man, I'd say the Lancers are using Crow Hogan's connection to use the Commons as an army against us. Although it's irritating, it won't halt my plans as long as you all can hold the Lancers off. Once everything is in motion, chaos will ensue and everything will turn out as I envision." Roget cryptically explained.

"Why not enact your plans now?" Kiryu asked, who stood in the shadows of the room.

"With Yuzu Hiragi, Serena, Rin, and Ruri Kurosaki now all in play, we'll have all the cards against Academia once we detain them. Once my plans begin, chaos will ensue and we may not be able to capture them. Once we have at least one of them, the fate of the Professor's plan will be in our hands, so detaining them is at top most priority."

"In any case, doesn't the conflict between the Commons and the Tops ending disrupt your plans?" Kiryu questioned.

I think it's safe to say that this has become my favorite duel. Both boys put everything they had into one final battle with Yugo taking the win.

Some of you may be upset and some of you are probably happy. My choice to have Yugo win this duel was because of many reasons. For starters, as much as I love Yuya, I felt like it would be more impactful for him to lose this duel. During this arc, Yuya's gone pretty crazy and hasn't even lost a duel up til now. He swept an entire team, beat Sergey, and even tied with Yuri. The Yuya in the cannon anime would have got his ass stomped by Yuri if they dueled in the Synchro arc. He really turned up since his lost to Reiji. So to have him give a duel everything he had and still come up short will lead to some development for him in the future. And it also leads to himself question his decision to not use the cards born from his anger in the future.

Also, I felt like Yugo should have won this duel because this is his climax of his arc. This was his character's redemption in my eyes for what happened to him in the anime. In Standard, Yuto and Yuya quickly caught up to and surpassed him after they met. His lost against Darkness, him basically losing to Sergey, and him losing to Jack lead to him developing more and more. Him having to constantly struggling to grow stronger allowed him to become a better duelist. In my eyes, it could have gone either way, but Yugo deserved the win and to face Jack in the final duel.

About the duel itself, I don't have much to say except I gave Nirvana High Paladin's it's real life monster effect since it literally doesn't have a monster effect in the anime except the non-original "place this card in the pendulum zone upon destruction" that every hybrid gets. This duel was so fun to write so I hope you guys all enjoy it. The first turn with Yugo taking out all of Yuya's elemental dragons and Yuya using Advance Dragon as bait to bring out Lancer Dragon were some of my favorite turns. Next chapter should only be one chapter since the script has been planned out already.

At the end of the chapter, Roget name drops Zero Reverse. I guess Neo Domino City is always destined to go through some sort of cataclysmic event, regardless of the timeline.

charly12: I understand what your saying about Yuya calling Yugo out the way he did. In a way, he took a page out of Jack's book to get Yugo to realize his true intentions during the duel.

T.V. 2000: We'll see Roget's plans come to fruition in the next chapters. Let's just say, while everyone is preoccupied with ending the conflict, Roget is preparing his final gambit. Kiryu will get one more duel this arc and he may get a new monster akin to Hundred Eyes.

DRAC: I honestly don't know very much about TV Tropes and I don't really know how someone would go about getting their story on there.
