Unsurprisingly, Aziraphale runs into problems in his new job: the Second Coming will be a massacre, and only Crowley can help him prevent it. But Crowley has his own reasons, and his own issues: Hell gives him an ultimatum, and he must choose. But it seems neither angels nor demons can make choices very well. And stopping the Second Coming will have major consequences for everyone.

Aziraphale wants to change Heaven for the better, leaving a heartbroken Crowley behind. A glimpse back down to Earth makes him realize there are definitely still things left unsaid between them, but the Archangels have their own sinister plans for Aziraphale. Now it's up to the innocent, child-like angel Muriel to bring the lovelorn soulmates back together before it's too late.

There was little the pair couldn't do together, and that was a threat to the ineffable plan. The Metatron managed to separate them, but would it be long enough to start the war to end all wars? Or, my take on what season 3 might hold.
