Chapter 1: Dark and Windy Day

*The curtains to the small stage open*

A lone man with a very big hat stands amidst the wooden planks of the run-down stage in the filthy saloon.

Lifting his head, his rugged features appear clear as day, he bears a smile along with his poncho and the guitar hanging on his back, and stereotypical cowboy boots and belt also accompanied his weird concoction of a costume.

"Y'all folks seem quite unaware of what went on down these parts"

He throws the guitar he had on his bad to his front

"For let me say this, I, A-class hero number 12 'Silver Desperado' bore witness to it all, the trials and tribulations of this ol' city QY I came to call home, tis a small city I know, but -"

He hits a fast solo with his guitar in a typical country style

"- Let me tell ya about the time a year ago five strangers came by this ol' town, three fiends and two heroes, including my poor ol' self of course, and the mystery of which still scars this little city to this day"

The guitar begins to play, Silver Desperado banging his foot on the decrepit wood in unison with the rhythm, a harmonica and a fiddle player join his musical concoction.

"Let me tell y'all the story of that Dark and Windy day..."

"Three strangers came by this town ravaging all on their way..."

"Suspicion was high as I came barreling in my steed..."

"Some folks from round had called me, they were scared o' the stranger's greed..."

"The outside of town was quaint, with no quarrel to be seen..."

"But to my surprise, the banks' dough was run clean..."

"Little by little I caught up to them... "

"Tell ya what... I was ready... to cut evil by the stem..."

"Found'em inside a Jewelry ready to do the deed..."

"Unbeknownst to us, someone else arrived up with speed..."

"I told'em then and there, come face me outside..."

"They showed their grizzly fangs and cruel eyes, prepared for a fight..."

"A shower of bullets came pouring all around..."

"I swear I did my best, but I came down to the ground..."

The vocals stopped for the guitar to play in a hurried and almost desperate tune before returning to a hopeful rhythm

"I laid down in the road, one inch of my life"

"I wailed and begged in horror, but no one could hear my strife..."

"Out of nowhere came a stranger blinded and painted in black..."

"He said 'Can yall help me? Sum fell on my head and I can't see jack!'..."

"The monsters high and mighty, shoot twice at the bucket head..."

"And twice over the bucket was filled with lead..."

"The stranger stumbled before he stood his ground..."

"He said 'Well darn thank y'all, now I'll beat you to a pound'..."

"The bullet holes revealed those cold and empty eyes..."

"The monsters grinned, their tongues poisoned with lies..."

"And although I tried to stop him, the monsters made a fatal slip..."

"For the stranger there among 'em was faster than a whip..."

"With a movement of the hand so swift his finger pointed at them..."

"His thumb came down with mighty force, those monsters he would condemn..."

"Like the big storm of the flood.. came by that great wind..."

"When the dust all were searching for a fiend..."

"Laying on the ground stood the critters, their torsos blown off clean..."

"And the stranger was far gone, nowhere to be seen..."

"To this day we hope to see him... waiting for him to be back"

"For this town owes its life... to that stranger clad in black"

The guitar goes on a final, upbeat, and hopeful solo before Silver Desperado pulls a pose, waiting for the cheers.

*SPLAT*

Very shortly after an awkward pause, he was hit with a rotten tomato to the face.

The yelling followed suit

"YOU SUCK!"

"GO BACK TO HERO BUSINESS! YOUR VOICE SUCKS!"

"GENOS! REMIND ME TO NEVER LET YOU PICK THE THEMATIC RESTAURANT AGAIN!"

"YES MASTER!"

"LEARN SOME BETTER RHYMING MAN!"

The A-Class cleaned his face and quietly disappeared behind the closing curtains.

He didn't need praise, he knew his song was good for what it intended to show...

An ode...

...To a Hero.
