Spiraling Phantom Prologue: Prison break

Naoto's POV

I looked at the ceiling of my room as the night's cold embrace was chilling me. I couldn't stop the stress that I felt as it prevented me from sleeping. My little brother Naruto was killed by Sasuke who left to join Orochimaru. The brim light of the moon shone showing my black and white striped outfit indicating I was an inmate. That's right I had killed Sasuke to prevent him from going rogue but some corrupt councilman named Danzo didn't like it. Especially since my usefulness had come to an end. I clenched my fist as I remembered what he told me two days ago.

Flashback: 2 Days Ago

''You are a fool brat! You had to kill the Uchiha. I had a deal with someone to protect him from harm and now it is off because of you! Now...you got wounded by the brat before he died and you are losing your chakra. All PREVIOUS UZUMAKI held back the Kyuubi and now as the last living one...you had to fuck the leaf over!'' The bandaged man said as he punched me in the face and began breaking my ribs before he stopped and spat at my face.

You are going to sign this and send yourself to jail and admit you consider yourself a threat to society. I expect it to be signed by the end of this week.'' He said as he left. I then groaned as I nursed my wounds before I fell asleep. I then entered a room and saw behind some bars, an old man with very little hair remaining in a black and white tuxedo and white gloves. He also had a very long nose and he spoke to me.

''Welcome to the Velvet Room. I would like to say this to you under more normal and formal circumstances but alas I cannot. My name is Igor...it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I would love to request your help young one.'' The now-identified Igor said as I then asked him what was going on.

''Velvet Room? Request? Can you please elaborate?'' I ask as he nodded and explained himself to me.

''Very well. We are in the realm that connects all of the nexus of consciousness also known as Mementos. Someone sealed me here and impersonated me and I had to reach far and...wide to find suitable help. I would like to formally ask for your help as the worlds are in great danger and I need you to save them. I can only sadly bestow upon thee the power of Persona and their Wildcards.

Should you accept you would be transferred to Shibuya as a new student with an apt paper trail. Do you accept the term of this...contract'' Igor asked me after he explained himself as though of this.

With this, I could escape this hell hole but it would mean leaving everything behind. I read the terms and they were all true to what he said but a small line of text caught my attention.

''I sign this of MY OWN free will.'' It said as I smiled meaning I did have a choice and sign my name. Darkness took over me as I left and Igor's words echoed in my mind.

I then knew what to do I chose to ignore and scraped this bandage man's offer along with his paper as I heard a voice in my head and my heartbeat increased.

''So, you have finally decided to fight back and guide these fools in their wretched place. It is your job to change them for the better. You have a duty nay...a responsibility to do as such.

Now come...you know this is the truth. They stole endlessly and starved you but they can never steal who you REALLY are!

The voice said I gripped my face and tore what seemed to be a mask as blood flew off in gory chunks as an ethereal blue flame began to swallow me as I was now dressed in a silver knight armor full of an iron eye-covering mask. A red cape flew behind me with my should which also had gold pieces embedded in my armor. I then materialized a holy regal sword as I cut the door to pieces and shouted as I escaped.

''Let's do this Arthur Pendragon,'' I shouted as I tore through the underground prison before I stabbed the air and cut open a rift I walked in and slowly dodge a volley of Kunai by twirling my regal cape as the bandage man was setting and the portal swallowed me whole. I then smiled as I left the portal I pulled out my new ID card and now knew my background in this new life. With this, I gave myself a mental pat on the back as I said my words of happiness.

''Watch out Shujin Academy. Naoto Uzumaki will take your heart" I said as I walked towards school and wondered how my life would be here. I had no idea how right I was for I would face excitement, trials, and adventure, and find many treasures along the way.
