On the bounty, the other ninja were talking and laughing, unaware their brother had been kidnapped. What Kai didn't know was that the reason they hadn't been paying attention to Kai was that they were planning a surprise for him, and they obviously didn't want him to find out. Within the kitchen, Cole was eating. He had a bag of chips in his hand, and he leaned back, sighing. "So remind me again," he asked as he took a cookie from the bag and chomped down on it.
"When is Kai's birthday day?" Nya, who just got inside the room, took a seat near Jay and sighed. "In a few days! He's gonna be so surprised!" She said. The others chuckled at her, and then they all went silent. It was then Cole looked around and noticed the green ninja was absent from the room. "Say, where's Lloyd? Wasn't he supposed to be here to help us plan?" Cole asked as he took another bite of the cookie.
A smile crept on the corners of Jay's lips. "Oh, rumor has it, he's going on a date." The others looked at him, shocked. Lloyd had worked up the courage to ask a girl out. Nya shook her head, and smiled, "It seems like Lloyd is growing up before our very eyes," She says happily, as the others couldn't help but agree.
They all fell into silence, and then Zane looked at the clock. It was getting pretty late, and Kai and Lloyd should've been back by now. He started to have a worried look on his face, and the others caught on right away. "Zane, what's wrong?" Nya asked with concern evident in her voice. She had a worried look on her face, and Zane tells her: "It's getting late, and Kai and Lloyd should've been back by now."
Nya looked at the clock, and she saw it was getting late, and her eyes widened. "How long did they say they were gonna be out?" She asked the boys who shrugged. "Maybe Kai is just in his room sleeping, and he didn't go out?" Cole suggested, but Nya shook her head. "I saw him leaving. Last I saw him he was walking down the streets." They all looked at each other and started getting worried.
They started to feel like something bad had happened. But Nya shook her head. "We are going to go and look for them," She said as she had made the decision, and no one objected to it. Within a few minutes, they all left and went to look for their brothers, and Jay was walking along the streets. He didn't notice someone hiding in the shadows, planning to jump and capture him.
