Jay's P.O.V.

I walked along the streets, whistling. I was really worried about Kai and Lloyd. Maybe we went overboard with the whole ignoring thing with Kai. I hope we didn't hurt his feelings. I didn't expect to feel cold hands around my neck and everything going black.

When I woke up, I was expecting to be chained to the wall, or something. What I wasn't expecting was to be laying in a huge king-sized bed. The room was even decorated blue, my favorite color.

What I wasn't expecting was to see a man walk in, wearing a lab coat. "Hello, Jay." He greeted me. I stared at him open-mouthed. How did he know my name? "I hope you will cooperate with me and we can come to an agreement." He said, stepping out of the shadows. I was not expecting to see his face.

He looked kind, with dark brown hair and sparkling blue eyes that made him look like he was the best father in the world. But his eyes also carried a certain crazy gleam to them that you couldn't see unless you looked really closely.

"I have your friend, Kai, hostage. I hope you will cooperate with us, or your friend might have quite a few injuries very soon," He said calmly, looking me right in the eye. I wanted to say no, but I would not stand for Kai going through any type of torture. For now, I was going to have to do what this madman wanted.

"Alright." He said. He ushered me to the couch. "Stay still." He ordered. I complied. Swiftly, he grabbed my arm and thrust the needle to a syringe into my arm. At first, I felt nothing. Then, it felt like my blood was on fire. My whole body burned. I fell to the ground, my body no longer able to move from the pain.

But the torture wasn't over. He pressed a hot brand to my chest. As it dug deeper into my skin, I screamed, I screamed and screamed and screamed until my throat was far beyond hoarse. He finally pulled it away from my skin, releasing me from my agony. He slowly, gently cleaned the blood away from the mark.

He carried me to my bed, laying me down carefully. After he had left, I turned my head slightly to look at the mark. It looked like this…

I tried my best to stay awake, but the bed was just too comfortable. I fell into a deep sleep, not knowing about the transformation coming for me.
